I Spy...

T'Shana was still pouting over Captain Fjori force-beaming her to the surface, and in this ridiculous Hawaiian type outfit to top it off. If she chose to don swimwear, it certainly wouldn't be anything flowery like this. It irked her that the stubborn Captain had not only put her on the planet without her consent, but when she had confronted him in the resort's lobby, he had the nerve to act like she was crazy and stalking him. The thought of that made her blood boil.
When she heard the doors of the resort's main building swish open, she sat up more from her almost lying position behind one of the larger rocks on the beach. From her shadowy spot, she spied Ensign Kekasih leaving the building and moving closer to her spot on the beach. The young Medical officer finally sat down on another rock, no further than 10 meters from where T'Shana was stretched out. For a few minutes, the Vulcan watched the young woman curiously. She seemed preoccupied, her eyes out toward the ocean in apparent contemplation. The sudden urge to walk over and talk to her came over T'Shana. Why, she didn't know.
But before T'Shana could make up her mind and get up, the shimmering of a transport in progress caught in the corner of her eye. Evidently, the Ensign had noticed it as well, for she turned toward the building. The Vulcan craned her neck a bit more, trying to see who was beaming down. The instance T'Shana spied it was Lieutenant Young, the young Medical officers called out his name, Sam.
T'Shana shrunk further back into her concealed place. If it had been anyone but Sam, she might have still considered standing up and walking over. But she was certainly not in the mood to create another awkward situation for herself. As cool and collected as she usually seemed, even downright abrasive at times, something about the situation with Sam was always making her feel uncomfortable. She wasn't sure if it was just the fact that him and her had ended up on the same ship, or if there was anything else to it. But she was not in the frame of mind to explore that now.
As she sat in the shadow, listening to the exchange between the Engineer and the young Doctor, she couldn't help feel a little pinch of jealously at their easygoing and friendly tone. Sam seemed like a different person around the young woman... at least, a different person than he was in that bar that night; far less direct, smoothly charming, and downright considerate. T'Shana found it highly interesting and yet at the same time a bit unnerving.
When she heard the Ensign give orders to the Transporter Chief to beam them to another location on the planet, she slowly stuck her head out from behind the boulder, just in time to see them dematerialize.
Did she just take him home with her? T'Shana stood up and brushed the sand off her body.
She decided to have a talk with the Ensign Kekasih after this shore leave was over... or maybe she needed to have it sooner than that. The young woman evidently had no idea what kind of Casanova she was letting in her home. Maybe she needed some enlightening.
She put the thought to the side and walked through the sand toward the main building, intent on going up and seeing Captain Fjori again, tempted to tell him that he needed to let her stay the night in his room, since all rooms had been booked. But then, she thought better of it. How would that appear to others? And as rude as the man was, he would probably make her look like some sort of hooker for asking.
Wait a minute... She stopped in her tracks. Ensign Kekasih had just managed to have the Transporter Chief beam them somewhere else... which meant the transporters were functioning properly again, or maybe had always been. T'Shana didn't put it past Fjori to have lied to her.
She tapped her comm badge, "Columbia, one to beam up... there are no more vacancies down here. I would like to get back to my quarters."
"Activating transport... now," a voice came back.
T'Shana had a sinister grin on her face, when she began shimmering, "Don't imagine I will forget this shenanigans anytime soon... Captain."
