Name: Tebok ir-Mirek tr'Khev Medical Note: House Khev: One of the High Romulan Houses. Though not among the wealthiest nor the most powerful, House Khev is a very old family steeped with strict family traditions. It can trace it's roots back to the Sundering. It's primary source of income is tea. The estate is located just outside the city of Mirek, near the shores of the Apnex sea. House Abril: The House of Tebok's mother Saeihr. Not as old as House Khev but far more powerful and wealthier. Saeihr's parents did not approve of her desire to marry the less powerful Tehann tr'Khev. They would gain nothing from this union. However, their hand was forced when Tehann and Saeihr became sexually involved, and their daughter became pregnant with Tehann's first son, Ralaar. Background History: Pre-defection: Tebok ir-Mirek tr'Khev was born into a life of luxury and wealth that very few Romulans normally posses. He is the second child of Lord Tehann tr'Khev and his wife Lady Saeihr e-Abril t'Khev, now heads of the Higher House Khev. Instead of being delivered in a medical center, he was delivered, as was demanded by tradition, in the family estate by his grandmother Lady Saith. It was his then four year old uncle, Thei, who chose for him the name 'Tebok' which roughly translates to "twilight." Thei had found it in a children's book and had grown extremely fond of it. Tebok's parents initially had another name prepared for the infant but found "Tebok" somehow suited their son better.
He was a fairly unremarkable child. An almost ugly infant; too skinny, too tall, with too much unruly black hair. He was frightfully quiet and almost never cried. With two extremely busy parents he was often looked after by servants or other members of the family. His uncle Thei became extremely attached to him and considered Tebok to be his younger brother, since he had none and Tebok's own older brother was too busy to have anything to do with him. As a toddler Tebok continued to remain extremely quiet. He was very late to start speaking and though he gained a remarkable vocabulary in a very short time he seldom used it with anyone but Thei. He was so quiet his parents had him checked by several doctors but nothing could be found wrong with him. He simply did not like to speak. When Tebok was five years old and Thei nine the House weapon's master Khiy started to train Thei. Eager to do everything his uncle did Tebok begged Thei to teach him everything he learned. They managed to keep this a secret for only a few weeks before Khiy found out. Knowing that the boys would continue with or without his approval Khiy started to teach the five year old Tebok. Despite his young age Tebok did extremely well at weapons training. Tebok's telepathic abilities started to manifest themselves just before his sixth birthday. Only one in a million Romulans naturally develop telepathy. When he tried to explain to his mother that he was hearing voices in his head she did not believe him and told him it was his imagination. It did not take him long to figure out that what he was hearing and feeling were the thoughts and emotions of others; frightening adult thoughts and feelings no child should ever experience. Terrified by the thoughts of others around him, and eager to get away from all the noises in his head Tebok was forced to hide from people. Instead of developing friends and being with his family he spent most of his time hiding in the attic or in the basement. Again his worried parents took him to see several doctors but nothing could be found wrong with him. It was Thei, now 11, who figured out that Tebok was telepathic and started to research all he can about the condition to help Tebok. It would take Tebok years to learn to fully control this and eventually to gain from it. But until he did he had a very difficult time. His sleep was plagued with constant nightmares brought on by thoughts he had read. He was friendless, alone, and constantly on the verge of an emotional breakdown. However when he did learn to control it he was soon able to gain greatly from it. Being one of the only telepaths in the Empire he would use his ability to read the minds of others, excel in weapons by anticipating his opponents moves, learn vital secrets and manipulate House politics and even to tamper with the thoughts of those around him. Not long after Tebok's seventh birthday his younger brother Delon was born. He was not happy at all by this. Delon was an extremely adorable child that received far more attention from their parents then Tebok ever did. Even Thei became exasperated by the sheer amount of attention Delon was given. On several occasions Tebok and Thei tried to get rid of the new baby. They left the baby out with the garbage, tried to trade him for a pet, sweets and finally to a rival house, but without any success. Even the rival house, thinking it a trick, returned the infant. As he got older his parents started to make him baby-sit Delon. Though they had many servants Tehann and Saeihr felt the brothers should stay together. By then Ralaar had left for the Imperial Romulan War College which left only Tebok. It frustrated and exasperated him to no end being stuck with his younger brother. Delon became extremely attached to his Tebok. Still, despite his exasperation at constantly being left with his brother Tebok did do his best to be nice to Delon. Even as an adult Delon still greatly admires and respects his older brother. When Tebok was twelve years old Thei ran away from home. Thei, then seventeen, was an idealist, who believed strongly in the good of all of the Romulan people. He rebelled against his extremely wealthy High House family. He felt strongly against the very structured and casted society of the Empire and that it was wrong that while his family owned in excess there were others that went hungry. He spoke against the very divided House system and the wealthy. He often stole from House Khev to give the poor citizens of Mirek. His fiery political arguments with his father and brother grew more and more intense until finally he simply left home. Over the next twelve years Thei would earn his medical degree and start working as a pediatrician at the Iuruth medical center, Iuruth being the poorest city on Romulus. His parents and family worried and searched desperately but he was not found until a doctor in Iuruth noticed the Khev brand on his right shoulder and contacted Thei's parents. The leaving of Thei devastated Tebok. Thei was the only person Tebok was close to. While he did know where Thei was he could not see or visit with his uncle. Tebok became even more reclusive then ever, at times spending days hidden away in his bedroom, studying, reading or tinkering. Two years later much to Tebok's frustration his parents had another child, his sister Talla was born. By then he was fourteen years old. In his eagerness to be left alone he claimed the East wing attic. There he slowly built his own apartment, including a small kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and even a working lab. It was a very large space, and he continued to live there until his defection to the Federation. To keep people away he added a very complicated lock that only he could get into. When he was sixteen Tebok started to study at the Imperial Romulan Academy of Engineering. Though he was an extremely intelligent student he was also very reclusive, choosing never to work with or get involved with others. He spoke very little to next to nothing but the papers he handed in and the results on his tests showed he was very intelligent. Most of the other students and professors found him to be extremely odd and in turn kept away from him. However one teacher did take an interest in him and helped him to eventually earn his Master Level One in both Systems Engineering and Propulsion Engineering. After earning these, to the surprise of his family and colleagues he started to teach at the Academy. In three years he earned full professor status. Two years into his training at the Academy of Engineering Tebok started to also take classes at the Institute for Government Services training, working to earn his Master Level 1 in Government Services. This was a field he was not interested in but that he felt he needed to study. As a son of Lord Tehann he was expected to one day help in the running of House Khev even if the role of heir and future Head went to his older brother Ralaar. He also studied the mandatory to every Romulan citizen field, Honorable Citizen and Services training. Not long after achieving full professor status at the Engineering Academy twenty-five year old Tebok was forced to put aside his research and teaching to start his five year mandatory military service. After six months of strict training at the Imperial Romulan War College on the ice world of Devorran he was assigned to the Imperial Romulan Warbird Iurret'Kaleh [Silent Dagger] Because he carried three Phds he was given the rank of Arrain or Centurion [Lieutenant] instead of the usual petty officer status given to recruits. Three years into his service he was promoted to the rank of Khre'Arrain, Senior Centurion [Lieutenant Commander] and made the SubChief of the Engineering Department. But Tebok hated being forced to serve in the military. Confined to a tight vessel, surrounded by so many people it was a greater strain on him to keep up his mental shields. He found it harder to get away from people and as the second top engineering officer it was very rare when he could escape and be alone. During Tebok's second year aboard the Iurret'Kaleh the ship went into combat with several Klingon vessels. He was seriously injured in an explosion in engineering. But on arriving in the medical bay treatment for him was delayed when the Chief Medical Officer decided to prioritize care for the less severely injured senior officers, leaving Tebok to nearly bleed to death. All that saved him was the aid of another engineer who managed to stabilize Tebok and keep him alive long enough for a trained doctor to take over. During his third year in the military Tebok had his first encounter with the Federation and Starfleet. While doing a routine Patrol of the Neutral Zone he was sent out in a shuttle to do repairs on a small unmanned probe that was used to monitor the Federation. His shuttle was caught in a Plasma storm and thrown off course. When Tebok regained consciousness he found himself in a Starfleet sickbay, surrounded by Starfleet officers. He did not know any Federation standard and had never seen one of them before. To his utter shock the very large human doctor suddenly started to speak in Romulan. The Doctor was Lee Stuart, the adopted father of Cadet Aerv Stuart. Tebok was aboard the USS Kittyhawk, under the command of Captain Robert James Depp. They had found his shuttle drifting and had taken it aboard and were now treating his injuries. However, instead of turning him over to Starfleet command, at the insistence of Lee Stuart, Tebok was allowed to return to his shuttle and the Empire. No knowledge of his discovery would be placed in the Kittyhawk's logs. This would protect Tebok and his family from any possible Tal Shiar accusations. Neither Starfleet nor the Empire know that Tebok was aboard the Kittyhawk for almost a day. He was eventually found by his ship. Only the senior officers of the Kittyhawk, Delon tr'Khev, Aerv Stuart, and Remus John Lupin know of this incident. Late in Tebok's fourth year in the military he was approached by the Chief Medical Officer. Hatham tr'Khellian possessed minor telepathic abilities and had managed to discover that Tebok too was a telepath. Hoping to keep his abilities secret Tebok killed Hatham. But he was too late. The Chief Medical Officer had already told a cousin of his that was in the Tal Shiar. Several weeks after Hatham's death a Zraic tr'Khellian came aboard the Iurret'Kaleh and tested Tebok. He was astonished to learn exactly how powerful a telepath Tebok was. He made it clear that after Tebok finished his time aboard the Iurret'Kaleh he would use his telepathy to serve the Tal Shiar. It was not a choice. To refuse the Tal Shiar meant certain death, if he was lucky. Instead, several months before he was due to leave the Iurret'Kaleh Tebok suddenly started to feign insanity. He hoped by doing this he would be given a medical discharge, which he was, much to his relief. Tebok was sent home to a thoroughly shocked family. They tried all that they could to help their now raving son but nothing seemed to work and eventually they gave up on him. Even Delon, who persisted the longest, eventually gave up on Tebok. To only Thei tr'Khev did Tebok tell the truth -- that he was only pretending to be a babbling loon. Thei was the only person Tebok trusted enough to keep this secret. Tebok would spend the next twenty years of his life pretending to be insane. He would suddenly appear at random moments and rave, yell or shout to keep up the appearance with his family. The rest of the time he spent locked up in his attic apartment. He continued to excel in sword play and self defense and he used his telepathy to get involved in House politics. He became a secret in-between man, arranging deals between houses, or with the Tal Shiar in exchange for a part of the profit. He continued his research in engineer and eventually sold dozens of designs to the military in exchange for land and money. Tebok was one of the key developers of the new cloaking device that was stolen by the Remans. He invested his profits well and eventually became extremely wealthy with land on several planets under different names and dozens of accounts hidden in several places. None of this is known by Starfleet. Seventeen years into his insanity Tebok's sister-in-law Mnheai was accused of treason. Young Mnheai, the wife of Delon, was in truth an extremely loyal albeit also extremely naive citizen. With a little work Tebok was able to learn that her family was clashing with a rival House over a land dispute. This rival House was not above using dishonorable means to gain what they wanted. They used a Tal Shiar connection to frame Mnheai. Knowing how much she meant to Delon Tebok revealed himself to her. He asked her to remain silent and allow him to deal with the matter. She would not. She believed in a naive "goodness" and honor in a system of deception and lies. She spoke out and was eventually executed. Only Tebok was with Delon when she was killed. Delon never knew his older brother was there with him. This failure was the hardest on Tebok. However, while he could not save Mnheai he did manage to keep his brother from suffering a similar fate. With his wife executed for treason, the Tal Shiar started to investigate young Delon. Acting in secret Tebok was able to stop the investigations, blackmail the officer responsible, and eventually kill him. After Mneai's execution Delon disappeared for three years. He thought this would be better for his family. He did not know about Tebok's secret work to keep the Tal Shiar away from them. When Delon returned he brought with him an adopted teenage son, Starfleet Cadet Aerv Stuart. The human raised Romulan boy had been kidnapped by the Tal Shiar and when their work with him was finished he was placed into the custody of the one man who seemed able to control the extremely unpredictable boy, the ship's Chief Medical Officer, Delon tr'Khev. While his ship was on leave and undergoing routine maintenance on Romulus Delon decided to bring his adopted son to visit the rest of his family. However, while Delon was quick to accept the very different Starfleet boy his family was not. During a heated argument between Delon and his parents about his son Aerv suddenly fled into the streets of Mirek. For four days the very confused boy wondered the streets of a Romulan city he knew nothing about while Delon and his family became frantic trying to find him. Finally it was Tebok who came forward. He revealed himself to Delon and helped him to find the lost Aerv. Tebok felt a debt to Aerv Stuart's human father Lee Stuart, who had saved his life over 20 years earlier and so took it upon himself to look after the boy. Grateful to Tebok for finding his son Delon swore not to reveal the truth about Tebok's feigned insanity.
A few days after Aerv Stuart was officially adopted into House Khev by the family Thei tr'Khev came for a visit. Thei had been unable to come sooner due to a severe viral outbreak that had hit Iuruth very hard. Though he wanted to stay and help further he was forced to return home when he nearly collapsed from exhaustion. He was tested for the virus and when found to be negative was sent home to rest. However the tests proved to be very unreliable and within 24 hours Thei fell ill. House Khev was immediately placed under quarantine. No one was to come in or leave. Dozens of the Household soon became extremely ill. With Thei too ill to help care for the sick was left to Delon, Aerv, and Tebok, until Delon too became too ill. This left Aerv and Tebok. At first Tebok was able to help care for his family without his sanity being discovered. However, eventually people began to realize that it was the supposedly insane Tebok that was taking care of them. And so ended Tebok's insane charade. Most of the family assumed Tebok had suddenly had a miraculous recovering at just the moment his family needed him the most. However, Tebok did choose to tell his father the truth. Not long after everyone had recovered from the illness trouble again struck House Khev. A rival house, Annhwi, tired of all the trouble they had been getting from Khev decided on a drastic means to get what they wanted -- hostage fostering. While Aerv and Tebok practiced with swords in the courtyard members of the Annhwi household attacked them, seriously injuring Tebok and dragging Aerv off. Tebok's right leg was broken severely in two places and he was run threw with his own sword. Made worse was the delay in medical treatment. When discovered instead of his family beaming the bleeding Tebok immediately to the hospital they stood about arguing on what was to be done about House Annhwi and the political implication of it all. When finally he was taken to the hospital Tebok had lost near fatal amounts of blood and his wound later became seriously infected. Kivial tr'Annhwi, the head of House Annhwi, had many demands, which Tehann was not willing to give in to. In the midst of the argument the seriously injured Tebok staggered into his father's office and challenged Kivial to the ancient Toriatal challenge. In one weeks time they would fight to the death. The winner would keep Aerv, would keep the valuable sword Tebok had won off Kivial over twenty years ago. If Kivial won he would also be granted all of his demands. But if Tebok won he chose not to crush Annhwi, but instead worked out an arrangement that would benefit both houses. He wanted to end the fierce rivalry between them both. Tebok won the sword fight, to the amazed shock of his family who were not fully aware of his skill with a sword. Despite a serious disadvantage and still recovering from his injuries he killed Kivial tr'Annhwi and won Aerv back.
Eventually the Tal Shiar started to catch up with Tebok, to remind him that they had not forgotten about him and that they wanted him back. At the same time Starfleet was becoming impatient with the Empire that was clearly prolonging the matter. Sanctions were placed on the Empire. Though no one in House Khev agreed on this Tebok knew Aerv had to get back to the Federation just as he had to get away from the Tal Shiar. At great risk he defected, crossing the zone in a small shuttle with Aerv Stuart. Post Defection: Tebok arrived in the Federation in March of 2382. It was Commander Lee Stuart who brought up the suggestion that Tebok be placed in Starfleet, specifically in a minor teaching position at Starfleet Academy. The Tal Shiar were still eager to get Tebok back but would be more reluctant to kidnap a Starfleet officer. This would also allow Starfleet keep a closer eye on the Romulan. They were aware the Tal Shiar was interested in Tebok though they did not know why. Tebok was not happy at the idea of joining Starfleet but reluctantly agreed. Though Tebok left the Romulan military with the Federation rank of Lieutenant Commander Starfleet was reluctant to give a Romulan such a high rank and so he was forced to start with the rank of Ensign. During the last two weeks before starting at Starfleet Academy Tebok went camping at Yosemite National Park. Tebok's first assignment in Starfleet was to a town that had recently been struck by a major Earthquake. There he worked with Cadets Aerv Stuart, Arrea Atwood, Taba Atwood and Artim Lugosi to rescue people trapped in the collapsed buildings. He also helped in the rescue of Cadet Arrea Rose when she suddenly flew off and was nearly buried in a collapsing building. After her rescue Tebok ordered her to return to the shuttle. He suggested in his report that she be assigned a demerit for striking a senior officer and disobeying direct orders, and Taba Atwood be assigned a demerit for disobeying orders but this was never carried out. One of the many beings they rescue from the buildings was a litter of Norwegian Forest cats, one of which became extremely attacked to Tebok. Reluctantly he agreed to take the animal on. He named her Teelis which translates as "Song" Tebok's next assignment was to an archeological dig in China. During an attack Cadet Tarhana was injured and Cadet Max Culkin ran off to face her attackers in spite of orders to return. They later learned of thefts of artifacts from the dig and so left without getting to work with the archeologists.
In August of 2382 Tebok was taking one of his many solitary walks along a deserted beach shore, enjoying the peace and the sound of the waves, when he was attacked by what looked like a large dog or a wolf. He was later found wondering semiconscious and covered in blood by a civilian. He was taken to Saint Francis Memorial Hospital and treated for several cuts and bites and a severe break in his right forearm. Afterwards Tebok thought nothing of this attack. Two weeks after the attack Tebok suddenly fell ill. For three days he was overcome with agonizing body pains, headache, vomiting and fever. When he had initially fell ill he did not feel sick enough to contact sickbay however within hours he was too weak to get out of bed and contact them. He did recover and actually felt better afterwards then he had ever felt before falling ill. Tebok did not connect this illness to the animal attack though it was the animals bite that was responsible for his becoming sick. The animal that had attacked Tebok was not an animal but a person. His name was Paton Depp and he was a werewolf. By biting Tebok he had infected the Romulan with werewolfism. Tebok's falling ill two weeks later was his body changing and preparing for his becoming a wolf. To become a wolf his body needed to first undergo certain permanent changes that would make the transformation possible. The virus that had been injected into his blood initiated those changes. It would alter his body, turning him from a Romulan to a werewolf, and making his future monthly transformations a normal biological process. The virus does not turn a person into a wolf once a month but rather alters the body to make turning into a wolf possible. Therefore because it is not a virus that initiates these monthly transformations there is nothing to cure to prevent him from turning. However, at this time Tebok was still unaware that he was a werewolf. Tebok was assigned to work with Cadet Kate Taylor during the Great Starship race. This was perhaps one of the most trying assignments he was forced to work through. Cadet Kate Taylor was raised by Klingons and did little to make her extreme hatred for him unknown to him. Midway through the shuttle construction, two weeks after he had fallen ill, Tebok suddenly fell ill for three days. Kate Taylor was furious, especially when she learned there was no way for her to contact him. Unknown to her Tebok's first wolf full moon had come and he had turned for his first time before the very shocked eyes of Cadets Aerv Stuart and Zeke Davids. He was lucky though. Instead of reporting him to security both cadets were able to lock him in a basement lab for three days and both promised to keep his condition a secret. Tebok was shocked when he learned he had turned into a werewolf. He had thought such creatures were mere myth and so he initially assumed what had happened to him was a prank played on him, Stuart and Davids. He ordered Aerv Stuart to investigate. However, instead of finding out it was a prank Aerv found out Tebok really was a werewolf and that there was no cure for his condition. He suggested that Tebok tell Commodore Clemens. He would need help concealing his condition and the time off during his transformations. Tebok agreed to do so. After his second turning in October he approached the Commodore and was placed on administrative leave under the observation of a medical officer. Tebok was placed in the care of Doctor Rose Andrew and Cadet Aerv Stuart. It was determined that he could still carry out his duties when the moon was not full and so he was allowed back on duty. However, during the first month he was required to wear a cortical monitor and ordered to make sure he was not alone with any cadets until they could be sure beyond a doubt he was not a danger to others. On Stardate 0510.26, to his extreme surprise, and horror, he was promoted to Lieutenant JG. When Cadet Tarhana was captured by the Drules Tebok made clear he did not believe any attempt should be made to rescue her. He was however overruled. He did provide a blood transformation for her when she was brought back seriously injured, thereby saving her life. After the mission Tebok was assaulted by Cadet Max Culkin who did not agree with Tebok's decission not to rescue Tarhana. Tebok did not strike back and chose to press charges against the cadet. In November a new Chief Medical Officer was assigned to Starfleet Academy, Doctor Ken Kennesaw. Tebok chose to reveal his condition to him. He told him immediately before his November transformation, this way making sure the new Doctor had no doubts in his mind that Tebok was really a werewolf. Tebok spent this full moon locked in a padded cell in sickbay. After he turned back Doctor Kennesaw suggested they try using a holodeck next full moon. This would give Tebok space to run and hunt and hopefully prevent him from seriously injuring himself as he had been doing every month so far. Tebok transformed in December on the holodeck. Hoping to find a cure Doctor Ken Kennesaw decided to sedate the large werewolf while fully transformed and take a blood sample. After he was sure the werewolf was unconscious the doctor entered the holodeck. However opening the door released the gas sedative and Tebok regained consciousness. He tried to attack Doctor Kennesaw and Doctor Andrew. Commodore Clemens was forced to shoot him twice with silver bullets to stop him. After his wounds were treated Tebok was allowed to spend the remainder of his transformation on the holodeck. It was during the months of November and December that Tebok created the hologram, Remus John Lupin. Why exactly he initially created the hologram, even he is not sure. Perhaps he was lonely, confused and needing help with his lycanthropy, or simply hoping to find a cure. However, though Tebok did devote a lot of time and effort into the hologram, initially Remus Lupin was never meant to go as far as he would. Tebok based the hologram on the Voyager EMH Doctor's template, Moriarty, and Vic Fontaine. He even looked over the schematics for Commander Data's emotion chip. Remus John Lupin was brought online for the first time on Stardate 0512.23. The first time Remus was brought online Tebok met with him at a small pub, the Three Broomsticks, where they talked for a time, about lycanthropy and how one copes with it. On learning that Tebok was not registered with the Ministry of Magic, Remus offered to take Tebok. Though this was not real Tebok still agreed. They planned to meet one week later outside the Ministry. It was during this trip to the Ministry of Magic that Tebok caught the eye of one of the supporters of Fenrir Greyback. Fenrir Greyback is the most vicious werewolf in the Harry Potter universe. It was Fenrir who bit the six year old Remus Lupin after his father had offended him. This follower of Fenrir was impressed by Tebok's superior Romulan strength. However Tebok refused to become involved with any of Fenrir's followers. He considered Remus Lupin a friend. It was also during this trip that Remus Lupin got his first look at a comm badge and how it works. Seeing the interest the follower of Fenrir Greyback had in Tebok, Remus Lupin became concerned for the younger werewolf's safety. He decided he would go speak to Albus Dumbledore that week. He would meet with Tebok the next week at the Three Broomsticks. To explain who he was Tebok had told Remus he was a 25 year old Muggle born wizard. Though he had graduated from Hogwarts his parents did not approve of a Magical career and he was now working in a military school called Starfleet Academy. He had little contact with the wizarding world until now, when he contacted Remus. One week later, one week before the full moon, Tebok and Remus met again at the Three Broomsticks. Tebok was very ill. He had been using a drug created by Rose Andrew to prevent his transformation and it was not working. He had lost a great deal of weight and was extremely weak. He managed to tell Remus that he needed to get to Starfleet medical before he collapsed. Remus Lupin was reluctant to contact Starfleet. As far as he knew there was no such drug that could prevent a werewolf from transforming. He thought they might be poisoning Tebok. However, Tebok had been extremely insist. Remembering the comm badge from the week before Remus was able to summon Doctor Rose Andrew to the holodeck. When Rose decided to beam Tebok to sickbay Remus, very concerned for the younger werewolf, insisted on going with her. And so it was this way that Remus Lupin got his first look at the 24th century and 'reality'. In sickbay Remus stopped Rose from continuing to give Tebok doses of the drug that was supposed to keep him from turning. By doing so he saved Tebok's life. For the last week his body had been fighting against the drug. He physically had to turn or he would die. Without the drug Tebok suddenly transformed, one week early. However unlike his earlier transformations this time Tebok kept his mind. Suddenly he found himself in control of himself, but stuck in the body of a werewolf. He was terrified, confused, and in a lot of pain from a very agonizing transformation. He turned to Remus Lupin for help. Remus was not new to the idea of keeping his mind during a transformation. For the last two years he had been using the Wolfsbane potion which allowed him to keep his mind. He offered to help Tebok. Tebok was beamed back to the holodeck, there to remain until he turned back. Initially Remus was going to have Tebok stay in the Shrieking Shack, however Albus Dumbledore instead suggested that the turned werewolf stay at the Headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix, 12 Grimmauld place. Tebok spent one week at the Headquarters. Though Remus made clear he was a werewolf most of the members of the Order did not believe Tebok was a werewolf and thought he was a new dog of Remus'. The good of being mistaken for a dog meant he did get a lot of doggie treats. He developed a close friendship with Sirius Black, the other permanent resident. Sirius was an animagus who could turn into a large dog at will. While Remus was out Sirius would keep Tebok company. But it was Remus Tebok relied on the most. Remus understood better then everyone what it was like to be stuck in an animal body. It was his willingness to help Tebok, his kindness and his understanding that made Tebok eventually decide to tell Remus the truth about the holodeck. There was more to this hologram then even he had initially realized. Late on the evening of the seventh day, what would have been the first day of a normal transformation, Tebok suddenly started to loose control of himself. He could not tell anyone what was happening. Barely able to contain himself he started biting at his own paws rather then attack these holograms he had developed a strong friendship with. Remus eventually realized what was happening and locked Tebok in the basement kitchen. It became one of Tebok's worse transformations after that. He could smell people above him to bite. Desperate to escape he tore the room apart. He howled, screamed and tore at himself. Sirius, as a dog, tried to distract Tebok but the young werewolf was beyond any consolation. On the night of the full moon Remus too tried to calm Tebok down but to no avail. Tebok forced Remus into a vicious fight for dominance. They fought for almost an hour but eventually Tebok submitted to Remus. Subconsciously he did not want to win this fight. Though he was stronger and larger he needed Remus' help. Remus kept his mind and was far more experienced as a werewolf then Tebok. After that hour Tebok did manage to calm down. For the remaining few hours of Remus' transformation he attacked himself less and even managed to sleep for a short time. Even after Remus turned back to a man Tebok did not attack him but once Remus left he turned violent again. Tebok finally transformed nearly 48 hours after Remus Lupin. He was found huddled in the destroyed kitchen, his body torn and broken. Though Rose Andrew had given Remus Lupin Tebok's comm badge to contact her if he needed help Remus chose not to. As far as he knew the Headquarters was a secret place that she could not get to. He did not know at the time it was a holodeck program. Instead he and Molly Weasley tended to Tebok's wounds and let him sleep. Oddly, while Tebok was sleeping Remus was contacted by the Werewolf Registry. Tebok's werewolf tags, which were supposed to tell them where Tebok was when he turned, were not working. This was odd because though the tags had been left at Starfleet Academy they still should have registered with the Ministry, or so Remus thought. Remus did not know that off of the holodeck the tags did not work. Tebok was supplied with a new set of registration tags and a warning. Tebok slept for almost 24 hours straight. When he finally awoke he faced a very confused Remus Lupin who wanted to know about the strange door, the holodeck arch, that had suddenly appeared, and the strange place he had been beamed too -- sickbay. Tebok faced a difficult choice. He could lie to Remus, alter the hologram's memory or tell him the truth. Tebok chose to tell the truth. In his opinion Remus deserved to know what had really happened. Remus had taken care of him this last week, and had saved his life. He also did not think he could keep the truth from Remus for much longer and Tebok was lonely. All of Tebok's life he had been forced to live alone. It was not an easy truth for Remus Lupin to accept. To learn that he was a hologram and that all of his world was a fictional place in a small room. More difficult was the fact that Tebok could not keep the program running permanently. He only had a limited time on the holodeck and so if Remus hoped to remain online he would have to leave the holodeck. Tebok could have turned Remus offline with the rest of the program, despite the hologram's desire not to be but he chose not to. Instead Tebok gave Remus a portable emitter and allowed him to come stay with him. Tebok lived in one of the large houses provided by the Academy for the staff. With five bedrooms he had more then enough space for Remus. He did have a limited number of replicator rations but Tebok was willing to make the sacrifice for Remus. He provided the hologram with anything he needed off of the holodeck. Remus program was altered to allow him to wear normal replicated clothing. By Federation law Remus Lupin is the property of Tebok but the Romulan treats the hologram as an equal. During the assignment to the Voltar III Outpost Tebok was shot in the back and spent most of the mission in sickbay recovering from serious injury. After the capture of Ta'mas and Tarhana by the Romulans Tebok made a conscious choice not to try to rescue them himself though he probably had the connections to do so. He did not want to put himself or House Khev at risk over two Starfleet Cadets. On February 10, 2383, Tebok attempted not to notice his 51st birthday. His efforts were in vain. Aerv Stuart made sure to sing Happy Birthday to him and that he had a small birthday cake which he shared with Remus and Sirius Black. From Remus Tebok got a small notebook, inside which the wizard had collected all if the remedies, curatives and herbal aids he knew to help Tebok with his lycanthropy. These were things Remus and his parents had been collecting over the years since he had been a boy. Not everything worked, some being based on magic, but a lot did. Tebok has found the book to be extremely helpful. From Sirius Black Tebok received numerous issues of the comic "Martin Miggs the Mad Muggle" which he enjoys reading. Tebok approached the February full moon with pure terror. He would be transforming on the holodeck with Remus Lupin but considering all that had happened since his initial infection he was sure something terrible was going to happen. But nothing did. Instead it became one of the least difficult transformations he had ever been forced to endure. Under the influence of Remus and Sirius, though his mind did not become less wolfish, he was calmer and less violent. Remus had had his program altered allowing him to remain a wolf for the full three days of Tebok's transformation. After turning back Remus helped Tebok to sickbay. The next two transformations would turn out to be just as good. Tebok's poor health greatly improved. He regained a lot of the weight he had lost and he appeared more at ease with himself and with his condition. He actually started to enjoy and even look forward to his transformations. On March 10 they celebrated Remus' 36th birthday. To honour his friend Tebok gave him a Romulan name flag and a 24th century chronometer. Aerv Stuart gave him a holographic monkey called "Moony" that drove Tebok and Remus berserk until they managed to delete it. Tebok was among the survivors beamed aboard the Dhouti after the destruction of planet Earth by the Tofs. For a short time he was given control of engineering. Though he cared nothing for the loss of planet Earth the loss of Remus Lupin was something else entirely. The program appeared to no longer exist. Remus was Tebok's closest and only friend. In the loss of the hologram Tebok lost the only person he cared about and who cared about him. Not long after coming aboard the Dhouti Tebok reminded the Commodore about his rapidly approaching werewolf transformation. Though it was uncertain how exactly the destruction of Earth's moon would affect him there was no doubt he would transform. It was decided that security and the department heads would be informed of Tebok's condition and that he would be transforming in a small secure closet. Tebok refused to take the risk of transforming on the holodeck. This transformation was the worst he had endured in a long time. Without Remus to calm him down Tebok tore himself apart. He was confined to a tiny room, without anything live to kill or eat. The grief of Remus' "death" added to his agony. He screamed, howled and tore at himself for three consecutive days, in mental and physical torture. When he finally turned back he was beamed naked and bloody to the brig to make sure he was safe, adding humiliation to his physical agony. Tebok was ordered to stay off duty for 2-3 days to allow his torn body to heal. Due to a short in medical supplies his wounds were bandaged instead of healed, the doctors, choosing to rely on his superior werewolf healing rather then technology. Tebok chose to attend the briefing though he was off duty, out of a desire to know what was going on. He firmly believed that if they are in fact in an alternate universe and if there was a way to return home they should not risk their lives to rescue Commodore Clemens and should instead return immediately to their universe. Tebok was forced to endure a second, terrible, transformation aboard the Dhouti, that left him in just as bad a shape as the first, and forced him off duty for three days, in addition to the three he spent locked up as a wolf. Tebok was later killed in a Tof attack, in an explosion on the bridge. Or so it appeared. Instead of dying he actually woke up in Starfleet medical in his wolf form. What appeared to have been two months, the destruction of Earth, and all of the time aboard the Dhouti, had never happened. He had spent all of that time in a coma, under the influence of an alien mind control orbit that was discovered in orbit of Earth. He and Shadow Nighthawke were the first two to wake up.
