Training and suppression advised. Bokari Kakulen is the first of her species to be discovered. Her appearance was marked with the discovery of a cryogenic chamber (est. 150 years of age) by the USS Bellot on its shakedown cruise outside the Earth solar system. The circuits on the escape pod were found to be intact upon inspection, with the presence of a single creature inside. The cryogenic pod was taken back to Starfleet Science Research where careful extraction yielded a healthy specimen of feline/humanoid nature in the stages of infantile development. After several months of study the young creature was released to be raised by Junior Lieutenant Yuki Kakulen, who at the time had a son just about the estimated age of the feline. This decision was made in hopes that exposure to other young humans might assist in the felinoid's development. A series of inspections would ensure that growth continued carefully and safely, with the order to terminate the creature should its development pose a threat to the Federation, were put into effect. AUTHORIZATION REQUIRED Psychological Profile as of 59704.3 by Doctor Sara Harthing, Starfleet Psychological. "During our interview Doctor Kakulen has continued to be reserved and quiet. The empath present at the time of the evaluation stated that no emotions beyond the happiness to be posted off world seemed to be out of line. I am immensely surprised at the lack of resentment for being denied off-world posts for so long, only to be shoved to an offworld colony deemed unimportant by other superiors. The Doctor seems well adjusted, and I would agree that this is a risk free assignment. It is also of my opinion that only the Commanding Officer of the venture be informed of the standing Termination Order, and that the Order remain in effect in case of problems. At least it will keep her away from Earth if something does happen."
