DEFENSIVE SYSTEMS : Standard Deflector Shields; Metaphasic & Ablative
Capabilities

The deflector system is the primary defensive system on all classes of
starships. It is a series of powerful deflector shields that protect both the
spacecraft and its crew from both natural and artificial hazards. The shields
of the Akira-class starships operate using a nutational device known as the
Nutational Shield 3.1. Every ten seconds, the shield modulations changes.
This greatly effects the shield efficiency of these ships.

The Akira-class starships are also equipped with a metaphasic shield, which
allows the ships to remain in a sun's corona for periods of up to 28 hours.
The metaphasic shield allows the Akira-class vessels to study a sun's corona
very thoroughly.

WEAPONS SYSTEM : GENERAL OVERVIEW

The Potemkin-C incorporates two new weapon systems. They include the
phaser cannon and the tricobalt device. A Phaser Cannon, or most commonly
known as the Disruptor Cannon collects a large amount of phased energy and
bundles it in a cohesive shell. This shell is either magnetic or graviton
based; however, over distance it does dissapate, leaving the phased energy to
escape into space, rendering it harmless. The
cannon uses a pulse modulated graviton shell to hold the phased energy
together, the energy itself being fed directly from the warp engines [instead
of from batteries supplied by the warpcore].

The design of the Tri-Cobalt device is highly unique in the Alpha
Quadrant. It uses a three- tier warhead. One compartment is loaded with
antimatter, one with around 14 Quantum filaments, and another with
appropriate amount of Tri-Cobalt. Upon impact, a number of particle
collisions and energy reactions occur within the warhead. Firstly the Quantum
filaments are released into the Tri-Cobalt chamber creating a cascade
reaction, mixing the
Tri-cobalt into a highly volatile mixture. A millisecond later the magnetic
containment field around the antimatter is released and the active Tri-Cobalt
and antiproton bundle mix together creating a lethal explosion.

The Standard Photon Torpedo has been in use now for over 100
years--their design has changed very little although their targetting systems
have. They carry a standard load of 50% Matter [slush deuterium ion] and 50%
Anitmatter [antiprotons]. The resultant explosion of the collision can result
in varying degrees of damage to starships.

The Quantum Torpedos use artificial Quantum Fillaments as a power
source. A Quantum Fillament is a natural source of energy found in space. It
has no mass and if triggered just right can release almost astronomic amounts
of energy. Using reading taken by science teams studying natural filaments,
the designers created small artificial filaments. What makes a Quantum
torpedo so powerful is that the warhead contains 50-100 small artificial
filaments. These can bepowerful. Something that could be loaded into a
torpedo when their made and remain stable throughout a mission. The designers
found such a power source in the form of the Quantum Filament.

MEDICAL FACILITIES : DECK 4

The Medical Department on board the USS Potemkin is charged with
providing medical and health care to the ship's company and all attached
personnel. The Medical Department, under the direction of the Chief Medical
Officer and highest ranking Assistant Medical Officers, is principally
located in two Sickbay facilities on Deck 4. The primary facility, located
fore on the deck, consists of two medical intensive care wards, the
primary surgical suite, an attached laboratory, the CMO's office, a small
nursery, air purification and containment field operations, and the main
medical equipment lockers. The secondary facility, located on the port side
of the ship, also on deck 4, is similar to the primary facility but features
an additional, dedicated surgical suite, a null-grav therapy ward, and three
dedicated biological/medical research suites. Also on deck 4, port, are the
medical laboratories. Opposite the secondary facility, on the starboard side
of the ship, is a dental care office, a dedicated Obstetrics/Gynecology
center, and a full biohazard isolation unit. The center of deck four houses
the isolation surgical suite, physicians' offices, and the Virology Center.

In an extreme emergency, if the influx of patients overwhelms the deck
4 facilities, the large, lower Auxiliary Vessel Bay can be converted into an
Emergency Triage Ward; corridor junction nursing stations may be established
on the route between the deck 4 medical facilities, and the Emergency Triage
Ward.

SECURITY/TACTICAL FACILITIES : DECK 5

The Tactical/Security Department on the USS Potemkin is dedicated
to the safety and security of its ship, its crew, and all attached personal.
To promote security, the Tactical/Security Department utilizes the latest
technolgy, follows strict security protocol, adheres to an intensive training
and review schedule, and fosters design creativity in its team members.

The Tac/Sec Department is lead by the Chief Tactical/Security Officer
[CSEC] and the Assistant Chief Tactical/Security Officer [ACSEC]. In
addition, the department is divides into sub-details. Each sub-detail is lead
by a Team Leader. The current sub-details are. Forensic Sciences [FORSCI],
Brig Control [BRCO], Torpedo Control [TCO], Security Team [SECTM], Armory
Control [ARMCO], and Technology Developement [TECH].

The Tactical Weapons Module (TWM) is located on the "roll bar" of the
ship. It houses the Phaser Cannon and a Torpedo Launcher. The Phaser Cannon
and the TWM Torpedo launcher are mounted on an omni-directional mount. The
mount can swivel in a full 360º circle givening complete coverage by these
weapons. The (TWM) is just one of many possible "Roll Bar" modules that can
be attached at any major Starbase.

Sierra was born on Bajor to a Vulcan mother (Gabriella Labann) and a Bajoran
father (M'Hawarr Alexi). Her father died during the Cardassian occupation
when she was 4. Her mother, who was then pregnant with Sierra's younger
sister, Candyce (now 63), took great risks to take the family to the Vulcan
homeworld. Gabriella, a biologist, has worked for a
variety of top firms on Vulcan, Betazed and Sol, before agreeing to accept
the position as Department Head on Starbase Hawking. Sierra also has one
older brother, Nicholai (70), who is an assistant professor at the Vulcan
Science Academy. She married Dr. (FstLt.) Darryl Ryder on SD9612.13; and
divorced him in SD9709.

PRE-ACADEMY EDUCATION

Sierra attended schools on Bajor, Vulcan and Betazed, excelling in history,
science, sociology, and psychology. She attended Vulcan Science Academy for
four years (SD4908-5306), studying psychology and science. She graduated with
high honors.

SPECIAL ABILITIES / NOTES ON PHYSIOLOGY

Due to her Vulcan heritage, Sierra has demonstrated strong, but limited,
empathic healing abilities and telepathic skills, which increase through
touch. She is highly intelligent; possesses keen Vulcan hearing; and is
physically stronger than humans (due to Vulcan physiology). Sierra has the
pointed ears of a Vulcan and the nose ridges of a Bajoran. Her
daughter has inheirited these same physical traits. See attached Starfleet

PERSONAL HISTORY

Sierra grew up on Bajor, Betazed and predominantly on Vulcan. She attended
Vulcan Science Academy for four years. After graduating from VSA, she worked
for a variety of firms, predominantly on Vulcan and Sol, as a consultant and
researcher, including the presitigious Daystrom Institute. She decided to
join Starfleet on the recommendation of her cousin, Lt. Cmdr M'Hawarr Khymm,
applying to the Academy at the (terran) age of 60. Due to her father's
death at the hands of the Cardassians during their occupation of Bajor,
Sierra has a strong dislike for the Cardassian Empire.

Sierra has always excelled in her studies. She likes to fly, play sports,
paint, hike, and demonstrates a knack for strategy games like tri-level chess
and strategeum. She has recently taken up her enjoyment of kaltow again. She
also enjoys baseball and soccer.

Sierra met and became involved with Dr. (FstLt.) Darryl Ryder after her
posting to the USS Darmok. During their engagement, they went through the
mindmeld ritual, and Sierra discovered Dare's previous experiences against
one of the greatest threats against the UFP, the Furies. They were married on
SD9612.13 in a ceremony officiated by Fleet Captain Tnagra aboard the USS
Darmok. They combined both of their last names (M'Hawarr and
Ryder) to form a new name, symbolizing their union: Rhydarr. Lieutenat Tryst
Kotani served as maid of honor, and Lieutenant Jonathan Yular was best man.

After Sierra found out that she was pregnant, Dare and Sierra seperated in an
attempt from Dare to protect his family against the Furies, whom he felt were
going to return for him. The nightmares came true when the Darmok was
investigating a strange spacial phenomenom at system JMP-983, and found
themselves in an engagement against the Furies, SD9704.09-16. After killing
the Vergo of the lead Fury ship and having his pagh restored, Dare saw
Sierra safely onto an escape pod before returning to finish off the Fury
ship. He steered the ship into the planet, and the resulting explosion ripped
apart half the planet. Dr. Ryder was presumed dead on SD9704.16.

Sierra gave birth to their daughter, Taryn Angelique Rhydarr (9 lbs. 14 oz.),
on SD9704.23. She returned to Darryl's home in the Bennikar Valley on Bajor
to recover from the chain of events that had occured. (SD9704.24-05.20,
reference see: The Bajor Journals). During that time, she discovered that
Dare had been working for The Circle on Bajor, as well as for Starfleet. Also
while on Bajor, she was approached by Dr. Lewis Zimmerman for
use of her likeness as the interface for the new long-term counseling program
(LCP). She accepted and the AK-4 Long-term Holographic Counseling Program
subroutine Delta 489 (AK-4 LCP) went online SD9705.10.

Dr. Darryl Ryder, nee Taren Dar, was found not to have died in the Fury
wreckage, but rather had been transported across part of the galaxy. He was
found by Commander Rydelik of the USS Cuautemoc in the Core Systems, and, in
an arrangement with Starfleet, returned to duty on board the Darmok as a
Starfleet Intelligence officer, SD9706.

Sierra was promoted to Commander on SD9706.06 and posted as Executive Officer
to the USS Potemkin on SD9706.12.

While on a surprise visit to see her husband at Titan Station on SD9708.25,
he surprised her by announcing that he wanted a divorce.

Sierra earned command of Outpost Cousteau on SD9709.11. She was promoted to
Captain, and transferred to commanding officer of the USS Potemkin on
SD9711.06.

starboard side; odd numbers extend along the port side.

Accomodations typically include a bedroom, living/work area, and a small
bathroom. Other amenities available include food synthesizer terminals

(for those species that require it), personal holographic viewers, and
provisions for pets.

K'Vada is a what one would call a tall, dark man. Besides the obvious
features one expects a Klingon to have, K'Vada is constantly reminded of his
tragic past by a long, jagged scar which runs from the back of his hand to
his elbow. He is fairly lean and his Klingon features are extremely accented
on his face (e.g. bone plate on forehead w/ intersecting bones). His teeth
are unusally straight for a Klingon.

Early Life:
Up to the age of 7, K'Vada led a normal, Klingon life on a colony on the
Earthward border of the Klingon Empire. He spent a great amount of time
wrestling and fighting with his cousins and two brothers, who were 21 and 35
at the time. Quickly discovering how easily he overpowered his companions,
K'Vada took up the art of the ancient Klingon weapons, mastering the batliff.
The young Klingon had his fortunes reversed as he soon found his colony under
attack by Romulans. Rumors collected in an official investigation by
Starfleet say that there is a high possibility that the colony was designed
to receive and transfer tech<VIOLATION OF STARFLEET SECURITY PROCEEDURE/

Tragedy:
K'Vada's brothers, serving upon an K'Vort class battle cruiser in a mission
to eliminate Romulan outposts, were ambushed using stolen Klingon technology.
With blood pulsing through his veins, the young warrior stole a shuttlecraft
and flew into Romulan territory.
Seeking out any Romulans he could get his hands on, K'Vada crashed his
cloaked ship straight into an invisible Warbird. Beamed aboard, the boy
challenged the captain.
Defeated mercilessly, a long Romulan letter was carved into the Klingon's
forearm, and he was left in the disabled ship, drifting slowly through space.
Disenhearted and disabled, he returned home to find it burning and covered
with filthy Romulans. Captured, he was sent to a prison camp in the Carraya
system, imprisoned for 2 years, a hate for Romulans was slowly built up,
along with the ablity to control the temper well for a Klingon.

Training:
Rescued by the USS Enterprise, K'Vada decided to take up residence on Earth.
Living in Japan, he developed skills in martial arts including Tae Kwon Doe,
Judo, and Karate, studying under the great martial arts master Yoshitomo. It
was difficult for him, however, as a Klingon, to fully grasp the "inner
peace" concept. Under his master, he also learned the art of meditation,
which calmed his short fuse. Not entirely, of course, as he has been
involved with several incidents in which he has lost this control.
At age 13, K'Vada applied for Starfleet academy. He was not accepted until
age 15. There he studied modern weaponry, hand-to-hand combat, psychology,
and military history. He graduated with honors, with the exception of a
demerit for an incident involving a Ferengi and the purchase of a dagger.

Assignments:
K'Vada's first assignment was aboard the USS Darmok, which, for a great
timespan, held a campaign in the Gamma Quadrant. K'Vada served with the
Darmok in the Security Department for over 9 months, first under now retired
Fleet Captain Tnagra and then under the current captain of the Darmok,
Captain Ahrele Johannson. The USS Darmok now serves extensively in the Beta
Quadrant.
After an incident concerning an interrogation of an Orion Syndicate member,
K'Vada no longer felt capable as one of the ship's security officers. He had
taken a position on the USS Potemkin, serving alongside some of his former
Darmok crewmates such as Fst.Lt. Amber Trent, and Commander Sierra Rhydarr,
and under Captain Alexander "Putty" O'Brien.

Personal Information:
A certain thoughtfulness preceeds any action that K'Vada makes, making him
less impulsive than most of his race. This does not say much, though, as
Klingons can be one of the most unpredictable species at times. The only
exception has to do with Romulans. This trait seems to be changing,
though...
Modern technology is a hard thing for him to get used to. On the Klingon
colony, the lifestyle was very basic, consisting of farming and ancient-model
weapons manufacturing. Because of this, he is only adequete in phaser
fire-fights and prefered to use hand-to-hand combat in his training on
holodecks.
Fst. Lt. K'Vada, despite all his training, feels insecure at times about his
decisions. He shows many more human-like traits at times, such as pity. His
Personal Logs seem to be very in-depth as far as Klingons go. This is
perhaps an effect of his life on Earth. Yet, in the heat of battle, K'Vada
will switch into a state of uncaringness, living only to fight.
It was somewhat of a shock to himself when K'Vada fell in love with a Rihan
woman, Ltjg. Lanel, due to the fact that he had sworn to destroy the Romulan
empire.
He became equally heart-broken when Lanel left the ship suddenly... K'Vada
unaware of what had happened, suddenly alone. Very alone.

P H Y S I C A L D E S C R I P T I O N

Commander Mason regularly works in the gymnasium, swims, hikes, and rock
climbs in vacant holodecks. He is a strong man, muscular in build, slim, and
agile. Although he reluctantly and rarely carries a weapon, he is very
skilled in the usage of most energy weapons, due to his studying at the
Academy and Tactical Training. Robert is a tall man,with brown hair and
hazel eyes, who, upon entering a room, can set either
a commanding presense or a compassionate one.

P E R S O N A L H I S T O R Y

Robert David Mason was born in Copernicus City, Luna, on January 17, 2340, to
Jonathan Mason and Chandra Galliard. Chandra and Jonathan had two other
children after Robert, Kayline, and Neriah, both of whom moved to the
Federation colony on Delphi VII to live with friends of the family when
Chandra and Jonathan were killed in an environmental control malfunction in
the seventh habitat compound in Copernicus City in
2354. With both parents deceased and his sisters on Delphi VII, Robert moved
to Earth to take up residence with his uncle, a retired Starfleet Lieutenant
Commander, Ted Hannison. Persuading Robert to enter Starfleet Academy in
2357 at the age of
17, Ted Hannison moved from Earth to Delphi VII to reside with Robert's
sisters Kayline and Neriah, who were entering their teens. Robert Graduated
Starfleet Academy with honors in 2361, and was ready for his first assignment
in 2362, after a year of Advanced Tactical Study at the Academy. Although
Robert tried many times to contact his living relatives on Delphi VII, he was
unable to reach them time after time. Robert has not spoken to his family
since 2359.

In 2366, turning his focus to healing, Robert entered Starfleet Medical
School, and, after showing great promise, earned his medical doctorate degree
in 2370, an expert in human and humanoid anatomy. Graduating second in his
class, Robert had a choice of postings: Assistant Medical Officer on the USS
Trieste, or the Chief Medical Officer of the Federation colony on Santus III.
Opting to serve on board the Trieste,
Robert departed Earth and joined the crew of the Ambassador Class Ship with
eagerness, at the age of 30. Making many friends and aquaintences on the
Trieste, including his former lover K’Lara Rearick, the Operations Manager,
Robert became good friends with the command crew, and, for the first time
felt at home. However, in an attack by the Klingon Vessel K'Aleck, a V'Orcha
Class cruiser, K'Lara Rearick was killed on
the bridge. After three years of dedicated service, Robert was transferred
to the USS Odyssey as Assistant Medical Officer in 2373. Later that year,
after a promotion to Lieutenant, Robert was transferred to the USS Potemkin,
NCC-1711-B, serving there as Chief Medical Officer for a time, and then later
as Second Officer. He continues to serve the Potemkin, now as Executive
Officer at the current rank of Commander.

Excerpt from Chief Medical Officer’s Evaluation, USS Trieste:
Lieutenant Junior Grade Robert Mason is among the best
diagnosticians and field technicians I have ever served with. His diagnoses
are always on point, his lab work is exemplary, his emergency procedures are
of the highest standard, and his field work and surgery are outstanding.
Robert’s bedside manner is reassuring, and diplomatic, while displaying a
compassionate and competant air of infalliable respect for his patients. He
has received several well earned commendations for bravery on away missions,
and it was my pleasure to present him with the Apollo Medal of Honor last
month. Dr. Mason is a credit to any ship on which he serves, and he
represents, in essense, the best that Starfleet has to offer in the medical
field.

O T H E R P E R S O N A L D A T A

Robert enjoys playing the grand piano in his quarters, and listening to
ancient earth classical music. He has been a lover of music since his
childhood, and was a concert pianinst on the Trieste. His favorite classical
piece is Moonlight Sonata, by Ludwid Von Beethoven, and he has commented that
it reminds him of things long gone... Robert likes to read cultural
literature; among his favorites are: T'Rac, T'Pac,
A'lonru, from Vulcan, Cries Unanswered, from Betazed, and The Catcher In The
Rye, from Earth. Although Cries Unanswered is his favorite for its depiction
of a quest for sanctity rejected, he often feels he can relate also to The
Catcher In The Rye, which portrays a quest for, in a way, that same sanctity,
that becomes futile. Other hobbies include rockclimbing, hiking, and
whitewater kayaking in the holodecks.

Recently, he has discovered that he has a child, Mariah Estevez, age 11; the
mother, one Lieutenant Nicole Estevez, of Starfleet Intelligence, has given
up custody of the girl until that time when she is able to, once again, care
safely for her daughter. Their relationship is a perplexing one as of late;
although he frequently wishes otherwise, Robert finds that he is a stranger
to his daughter, and she to him. They have moved their living quarters
to Suite 072 Epsilon, on deck eight, and still have a bit of trouble
adjusting to the perpetual presence of the other; Robert has never been much
of a father-figure, and Mariah has never had such a person in her life.
Mariah also grew close to the ACMO aboard, First Lieutenant Amber Trent, and
the two often shared time together. Trent's resignation was somewhat due to
Robert's unwillingness to commit to an extended relationship, and partly a
result
of the progression of her own quest to bring a Klingon criminal to justice.
Since their separation, Mariah and Robert have grown closer, although there
remains some friction between the two regarding Robert and Nicole's failure
to wed.

and having fun. I was never asked to join in the fun. I lead a mostly
solitary life. When I was old enough to enter the Academy, something in my
blood made that desire strong. I never had any friends there either, so I
dedicated my years at the academy in study and learning. With my years of
learining, a need began growing. A need to heal and to learn more and more.

Education: I graduated first in my classes at school. Received numerous
awards and merits for my scholastic achievements. I was hated even more by
my peers for that. My years at the academy brought more commendations and
scholastic achievement awards and I finished in the top 1% of my class.

Starfleet Credentials: Upon graduating from the academy, I was posted
aboard the USS Potemkin as an ensign. Recently, I was promoted to Lieutenant
junior grade. I finally became accepted for who I was and not for what my

HISTORY

Shula VValker was born on Altima 2, a planet colonized in a joint effort
to make peace between Romulans and Humans, after the war with the Dominion
ended. Her mother was a Tal Shiar, her father was a Federation Intelligence
Officer. They raised her and both her parents gave her a choice of what
ideals she wanted to follow, Romulan or Human. She chose to join Starfleet,
and both of them supported her. Both her
parents tried to get her to join Intelligence work, but she wanted to become
a security or scout type person.

father was in the Rihannsu(Romulan) Fleet. My Vulcan Mother Nyla went through
star fleet Medical.

Childhood - I spent a lot of time on Vulcan with my mother who was very
interested in Vulcan ways and traditions. I have been raised as a Vulcan, but
I know my Rihannsu history and their ways. After I turned 16 I entered Star
fleet Academy. I graduated on my 21th Birthday.

Star fleet Beginning Years - I Was original posted on the USS Reliant to
study and learn aboard. I was either in Engineering or helping out the
Security department with their rounds of the ship. It was fun, my first
adventures in Star Fleet outside of the Simulators at the Academy. I was on
board for all of a year before moving back to Earth and the Academy. Where I
"hit the books", and studied to pass the Academy and get my
Commission aboard a Star Fleet Ship. The Academy wasn't too difficult nor was
it extremely easy. I passed near the top of my class. After Graduation I
receive my post aboard the Deep Space Nine. I was shuttled over and held an
Engineering post, they needed Engineer's badly.

Deep Space Nine - DS9 were some good 6 some years. I've been on the fore
front of almost everything. I've witnessed the Borg Attacks and the new
Jem'Hadar & Cardassian alliance which is currently hurting us. I've moved
from Engineering to Security when the Borg threat was High, then back to
Engineering after it was over and the Damaged was assessed. I've been doing
my job to the best that I can do it. I haven't grown bored
of DS9, but I wanted to be able to move around more I felt a Star Ship could
give me that. Hence I requested to Board the USS Odyssey.

U.S.S. Odyssey - I boarded the Odyssey a full Ensign. I was assigned to the
Engineering Department under First Lieutenant Isaac Gill. Along with Gill and
Ensign now Lieutenant JG Moore, we fixed and patched the ship together as
best we could. The Odyssey is a Galaxy Class Star Ship with several
modifications. We had to make due with what we had. The Odyssey was an old
beaten up ship. She can still hold her own. I fixed Holodecks while
stationed on the Odyssey. I was trapped in my Quarters by a malfunctioning
door and even got to see what could be considered a child Q who wanted to
play on our ship. I've had some fun on the Odyssey, I can only hope that I'll
be back on day. On Star Date 9706.07 I became aware that I would be
transferring off the Odyssey due to situations out of my control. On Star
Date 9706.14 I boarded an Outpost the Odyssey was docked at and proceeded to
meet up
with my Transport to the Roddenberry.

U.S.S. Roddenberry - My time on the Roddenberry was rather short to say the
least Stardate 9706.17 to 9707.08. I transported over and before I was fully
able to unpack I was moving yet again. I didn't mind moving around I get to
see a variety of different things. While on the Roddenberry I helped Repair a
old Outpost. More Specifically I repaired the bar and fixed the computer
core. I hadn't gotten to know many of the people. I only saw the
CEng once. I saw the Acting Chief once or twice too. I wasn't aboard long
enough to make many friends at all. However my time aboard her was fun to say
the least.

FAMILY HISTORY

Bjorn's father was actually a desendant of a member of an ancient Earth
music group called ABBA. The music ability has flowed through the
generations. Bjorn is a great musician playing the tuba, eletric guitar, as
well as singing. On stardate 9202.13 He recieved the destinction of being the
youngest condiuctor chosen to lead the Betazoid Philharmonic. His mother is a
Betazoid diplomat. His family traveled alot and has always felt at home
onboard
starships. Bjorn is an only child, and as such has always been somewhat of a
loner. Princess is his baby puppy who goes everywhere he goes. She is a very
finicky eater.

K'Vada is a what one would call a tall, dark man. Besides the obvious
features one expects a Klingon to have, K'Vada is constantly reminded of his
tragic past by a long, jagged scar which runs from the back of his hand to
his elbow. He is fairly lean and his Klingon features are extremely accented
on his face (e.g. bone plate on forehead w/ intersecting bones). His teeth
are unusally straight for a Klingon.

Early Life:
Up to the age of 7, K'Vada led a normal, Klingon life on a colony on the
Earthward border of the Klingon Empire. He spent a great amount of time
wrestling and fighting with his cousins and two brothers, who were 21 and 35
at the time. Quickly discovering how easily he overpowered his companions,
K'Vada took up the art of the ancient Klingon weapons, mastering the batliff.
The young Klingon had his fortunes reversed as he soon found his colony under
attack by Romulans. Rumors collected in an official investigation by
Starfleet say that there is a high possibility that the colony was designed

Tragedy:
K'Vada's brothers, serving upon an K'Vort class battle cruiser in a mission
to eliminate Romulan outposts, were ambushed using stolen Klingon technology.
With blood pulsing through his veins, the young warrior stole a shuttlecraft
and flew into Romulan territory.
Seeking out any Romulans he could get his hands on, K'Vada crashed his
cloaked ship straight into an invisible Warbird. Beamed aboard, the boy
challenged the captain.
Defeated mercilessly, a long Romulan letter was carved into the Klingon's
forearm, and he was left in the disabled ship, drifting slowly through space.
Disenhearted and disabled, he returned home to find it burning and covered
with filthy Romulans. Captured, he was sent to a prison camp in the Carraya
system, imprisoned for 2 years, a hate for Romulans was slowly built up,
along with the ablity to control the temper well for a Klingon.

Training:
Rescued by the USS Enterprise, K'Vada decided to take up residence on Earth.
Living in Japan, he developed skills in martial arts including Tae Kwon Doe,
Judo, and Karate, studying under the great martial arts master Yoshitomo. It
was difficult for him, however, as a Klingon, to fully grasp the "inner
peace" concept. Under his master, he also learned the art of meditation,
which calmed his short fuse. Not entirely, of course, as he has been
involved with several incidents in which he has lost this control.
At age 13, K'Vada applied for Starfleet academy. He was not accepted until
age 15. There he studied modern weaponry, hand-to-hand combat, psychology,
and military history. He graduated with honors, with the exception of a
demerit for an incident involving a Ferengi and the purchase of a dagger.

Assignments:
K'Vada's first assignment was aboard the USS Darmok, which, for a great
timespan, held a campaign in the Gamma Quadrant. K'Vada served with the
Darmok in the Security Department for over 9 months, first under now retired
Fleet Captain Tnagra and then under the current captain of the Darmok,
Captain Ahrele Johannson. The USS Darmok now serves extensively in the Beta
Quadrant.
After an incident concerning an interrogation of an Orion Syndicate member,
K'Vada no longer felt capable as one of the ship's security officers. He had
taken a position on the USS Potemkin, serving alongside some of his former
Darmok crewmates such as Fst.Lt. Amber Trent, and Commander Sierra Rhydarr,
and under Captain Alexander "Putty" O'Brien.

Personal Information:
A certain thoughtfulness preceeds any action that K'Vada makes, making him
less impulsive than most of his race. This does not say much, though, as
Klingons can be one of the most unpredictable species at times. The only
exception has to do with Romulans. This trait seems to be changing,
though...
Modern technology is a hard thing for him to get used to. On the Klingon
colony, the lifestyle was very basic, consisting of farming and ancient-model
weapons manufacturing. Because of this, he is only adequete in phaser
fire-fights and prefered to use hand-to-hand combat in his training on
holodecks.
Fst. Lt. K'Vada, despite all his training, feels insecure at times about his
decisions. He shows many more human-like traits at times, such as pity. His
Personal Logs seem to be very in-depth as far as Klingons go. This is
perhaps an effect of his life on Earth. Yet, in the heat of battle, K'Vada
will switch into a state of uncaringness, living only to fight.
It was somewhat of a shock to himself when K'Vada fell in love with a Rihan
woman, Ltjg. Lanel, due to the fact that he had sworn to destroy the Romulan
empire.
He became equally heart-broken when Lanel left the ship suddenly... K'Vada
unaware of what had happened, suddenly alone. Very alone.

Alkar entered Starfleet Academy on Stardate 9208.24. She enjoyed the Academy
and earned excellent scores in Personal Defense I, Tactical Planning and
other Security related courses. Her scores in other areas lagged behind so
at the end of the first semester she was placed on Academic probation.
Socially however Alkar was a wonderful success making many friends among her
peers. Throughout the second semester her scores continued to sink at the
end of her freshman year it was determined that she would not advance with
her class and if she did not show extreme improvement in the fall semester
she would be dropped from the academy.

She left earth for the summer her location is not accessible through these
records. When she returned in the fall she carried a heavier than normal
course load. She cut back on socializing and studied many hours into the
night. By the end of the fall semester her work had paid off and she was

Alkar continued her work at the academy and by the end of the year she had
sufficient credits to graduate with her class. She involved herself in
several clubs during the spring semester however he was not particularly
active in any of them.

Alkar took a leave of absence and went on sabatical to the planet Vulcan.
She cited her recent hospitalization as grounds and the leave was approved by
Starfleet. She had planned to be gone for a year but returned to earth early

On Stardate 9702.16 Alkar was posted to the USS Potemkin as Assistant
Security under the command of Captain Putty and under the direct command of
First Lt. Brand. She loved the Potemkin and on Stardate 9704.09 she was
promoted to the rank of Lt. junior grade.

Stardate 9704.14 - 9705.29

Alkar took a leave of absence from Starfleet after receiving a emergency
message from her father she returned to Craylos III for several weeks.

Stardate 9705.30 - Present

After her return to the Potemkin Alkar was stationed as Assistant Science
under the command of First Lt Raptor. Several weeks later on Stardate
9707.26 at her own request Alkar became ship’s counseler aboard the Potemkin
the post she currently holds. On Stardate 9708.28 she received a promotion
to the rank of Full Lt. from Captain O'brien. Then on what was supposed to
be Commander Rydarr's final mission with the Potemkin crew she received the,
Creative Writing (&C&) and Suckup Award (*\S/*) from Commander Rydarr as well
as the Major Patience Award (=|P|=) from Captain O'brien. Then on Stardate
9710.30 she was granted a Promotion to First Lt. by Commander Mason. A week
later Captain O'brien went on a six month hiatus from the Potemkin and her
crew was left in the highly capable hands of the recently promoted Captain
Rydarr.

Personal History

Lineage

Maternal

Jadzian Star Realcar-Alkar born to Recol Marlos and Jadzial Star Realcar on
stardate 5309.23. Recol and Jadzial were both politicans and Recol was
desended from the Realcar Clan which was responsible for the Massacre at
Clovyan VIII, on Stardate 3904.12, where over a hundred thousand rival
Clansmen were massacred in under three hours. This massacre earned the
Realcar Clan the title of Untouchables. The entire Clan was banished and
they became
a group of wanders. Jadzian was born into this exile and believed adamantly
that she anything that she wanted out of life had to be earned. Jadzian
gained from her exile and was schooled on many planets including Vulcan,
Quasar, and Minlinos. In 6906.18 the recently formed Imperial Council issued
a formal reprieve on behalf of the Realcar clan and the clan was permitted to
return to Antar IV. On Stardate 7508.29 Jadzian married Entar of the Alkar
Clan. The Realcar Clan has been reinstated to it's former status in the
Empire and currently holds positions in The House of Clans and The Imperial
Council. Several vessels in the Antaran fleet fly under the Realcar banner
and serve the Empire this manner before the Borg invasion several hundred
ships were contained in the Realcar fleet but many of those vessels were lost
to the Borg. The Clan has been recognized repeatedly by The House of the
People, The House of the Clans, and even The Imperial Council itself. Among
these awards are over a million v'kar'ma o'lees (Drifting Cross: For giving a
life to protect and fulfill the empire), many maha'ran'cas ar'van (Silver
Cluster: Special valor in ground combat), maha'ran'cas om'van (Gold Cluster:
Special valor in space combat), and maha'ran'cas roca'st'ma (Rolaren Cluster:
Special Medal granted to a veteran unit in honor of a successful raid
against a more powerful enemy).

Jahon and Entos were both high ranking politicians in the Alkar Clan.
However for a long period of time the Alkar Clan was only a minor Clan
dominated by the Fazon Clan. The Fazon Clan was one of the more powerful
clans holding seats in The House of Clans and even on The Imperial Council
itself. In a sudden shift of opinions The House of Clans dropped the Fazon
Clan
choosing to replace the Fazon representatives with those from the Alkar Clan
and several other Clans. The Fazon Clan was willing to accept this loss of
power and attempted to compensate by dominating the smaller clans that had
taken it's seats. Then suddenly The Imperial Council voted to expel the
Fazon Clan on that same day the Alkar Clan refused to allow further
domination by the Fazan Clan. The two clans began fighting the next day
within a
week the Alkar Clan was nearing defeat. Then the Elnon Clan and their allies
the Arnos Clan joined the war on behalf Alkar Clan. The three Clans formed
an alliance known as The Triangular Alliance. After several months the
Alliance had destroyed the Fazon Clan and noone was left to assume the
premireship of the Fazon Clan. Even now the Fazon Clan is still on the roles
of the Empire however noone has claimed the Premireship possibly because The
Triangular Alliance is the most powerful military and economic alliance in
the Empire even after the Borg Invasion. Today the Alkar Clan has almost
reversed positions from one of the weakest clans in the empire to one of the
top five militarily and economically. At the time of the Borg invasion the
Alkar Clan had about fifty odd warships amiable to it's personal use all of
which it pledged to the defense of the Empire. When Antar was destroyed by
the Borg it was the Alkar fleet that managed to escape with most of it's
numbers and The Imperial Council. The Alkar fleet made it to Craylos III
where a colony was established. The Empire still exists largely because of
the efforts of the Alkar fleet in the last days of the Empire. The Clan has
been recognized repeatedly by all branches of government but the one
distinction that stands out is the evern'mabor typmo'car. (Platinum Standard)
This
medal has only been issued 3 times in the history of the Empire and was
issued to the clan for it's efforts in saving The Imperial Council during the
Borg invasion.

Pre-Academy Background

Stardate 7509.04 - 9208.24

Alkar was born on the planet Antar IV on Stardate 7509.04. Her parents were
Jadzian Star and Entar Macos. She lived on her Clan’s Estate on Antar IV.
At age six-teen Alkar entered the Antaran Military Academy. A year later she
graduated and was assigned to Imperial Medical Command. Excatly one month
later the Borg invaded the Antaran Empire. About a million people survived
most of them fled to Craylos III. Alkar left Craylos III within a
week and entered Starfleet Academy on Stardate 9208.24.

Stardate 9208.25 - 9305.29

Alkar spent alot of her Freshman year at sports bar lotcated in the Frisco
Bay area called the California Star. She did very poorly her Frashman year.
Her best friend and roomate was a human nicknamed Aleie. They shared similar
interests inculding climbing. Once during a trip to the Sierra Nevada
mountain range Alkar sustained life threatening injuries she spent several
weeks in a hospital but eventually recovered. Aleie was posted to the USS
Salvation and the two have not spoken since then.

Stardate 9305.30 - 9308.15

Upon the completion of her Freshman year Alkar was informed that she would
not advance with her class. She had been expecting it and was not surprised
for the summer she took a postion at the Sabin Medical Center on Vulcan.
While she was there she met a Vulcan named T'laren. T'laren was Executive
Director of the Center and Director of the Psychology Department of the
Center. T'laren looked at Alkar not as a Starfleet Cadet but a peer
in her feild someone that even though she had been trained in a different
quadrant that T'laren could trust. The two worked very closly together for
the entire summer. At the end of the summer they had devoloped a deep
respect for one another. When they parted company in mid-august T'laren
asked Alkar to consider giving up the academy and to join the Center full
time. Alkar declined but the two have kept in contact.

Stardate 9308.24 - 9405.29

Alkar returned to Starfleet Academy and buried herself in her work. She shut
herself off from her friends and concentrated solely on her classes. Since
Aleie was a year ahead of her now the two could not be roomates they even
ended up on oppisite ends of campus. Alkar set a goal for herself that she
would rejoin her class for graduation. Taking more than the required courses
she managed to earn the required twenty credits to be classified as a
Junior. She became social once again during the spring semester involving
herself in some clubs and once again visiting California Star regularly until
she started going back the Star she hadn't seen Aleie outside of Classes in
several months. The two picked up right where they left off and once again
became the best of friends. At the end of the year Alkar made a deal with
the academy she would be classified as a Junior the next year.

Stardate 9406.01 - 9408.22

During the summer Alkar went on a research mission to Northern Scotland with
the University of Southern California's Dr. Roberto Lawerence. Dr. Lawerence
agreed to take Alkar along only after she sent him at least a dozen requests
and showed up on his doorstep the morning before he left for Scotland.
Lawerence was in Scotland to investigate rumors that in the fifth century a
castle had stood on what was then public property. En route he gave Alkar
a breif of Scottish history inculding information about the Scottish -
English conflicts. She likened his discreptions to her own homeworld and he
displayed interests in traveling to Craylos to observe a ridge Clan system
under almost consant strain.

Lawerence gave Alkar a apperication of history something that still
influences her personality today. During their time in Scotland the two
became queite close and would communicate throughout Alkar's stay at the
academy. They never found the ruins they were searching for however before
Lawerence's grant ran out. They did uncover several interesting artifacats
and neither belived that the expedition was a faliure. When they returned to
California
they parted company however they kept in touch and Alkar visited him at
Southern Cal several times.

Stardate 9408.24 - 9505.29

Alkar made an agrement with the Academy that she would take the required
classes in the next summer school session if the Academy agreed to classify
her as a Junior. This allowed Alkar to move back in to her original class.
She and Aleie once again shared quarters and spent many hours at the Star.
The two did everything together even double dating. Alkar once again did
well that year at the end of it however she was ready for a break. Sadly she
enrolled in summer school after her Junior year.

Stardate 9506.05 - 9508.15

Alkar went into summer school tried out. She turned down an expidetion to
North-Eastern United States with Dr. Lawerence to attend summer school.
After a month of summer school she was tired out she could barely stay awake
through class. Her scores were not as high as normal and her health suffered
do to lack of sleep and mal-nutrition. When the end of the term came about
Alkar went on a vacation to the South-Eastern area of the United States she
spent most of her time eating and sleeping and she loved it when she returned
to the Academy on 9508.24 she was a different person than had left nine days
before.

9508.24 - 9605.29

Even though Alkar went into her senior year fresh from a vacation her senior
year turned out to be the hardest year she'd had at the Academy. She
struggling to juggle a very difficult course load, an active social life, and
a very complicated family. At the end of the first semester her
relationships with her friends had become tense and she rarly left her room
except for classes. As the time before exams grew shorter so did Alkar's
temper.
Several days before exams she was hospitalized with severe lack of sleep and
malnutrition. She left the hospital the day before graduation and graduated
with her class.

Stardate 9606.01 - 9702.15

On Stardate 9606.01 Alkar requested a leave of absence from Starfleet citing
her recent health probelms. She left earth that afternoon on a transport to
Vulcan. She went to work at the Sabin Medical Center Psychology Department
with T'laren. She also studied at the University of Sarron studing Vulcan
culture, history, and emotional control. During the tiem she spent on Vulcan
T'laren tried desprately to convince Alkar that she shouldn't
become a security officer Alkar refuded to listen and eventually left Vulcan
after a particularly loud arguement with T'laren.

Stardate 9702.16 - 9704.13

On Stardate 9702.16 she was posted to the USS Potemkin. She rapidly
befriended most of the crew and bagen to feel at home aboard the Potemkin.
On Stardate 9704.09 Alkar was promoted to the rank of Lt. junior grade. She
continued aboard the Potemkin until Stardate 9704.14 when she took a leave of
absence.

Stardate 9704.14 - 9706.01

On Starate 9704.14 Alkar took a leave of Absence and returned to Craylos III.
She was offered the premireship of the Alkar Clan which she promptly turned
down. She left Craylos on a moments notice and returned to Starfleet. She
has vowed never to return to Craylos and has only communicated with her
family via sub-space transmission.

Specail Abilities

Alkar is a fully telepathic during her childhood and teenage years she was
often a subject of jokes because she unlike other Antaran children did not
have well devoloped telepathic abilities until age twenty-three even then her
abilties were someone weak. During her time spent on Vulcan she refined her
telepathic abilites and learned several forms of vulcan mental disipline.
Alkar also has limited telekenetic abilites these like her telepathic
abilites set her apart from other children. She has never chosen to develop
these abilties and prefers that no one know of her telekinetic abilties.

History:

Valeris, son of Seral, a vulcan Ambassador, and a yet unknown
mother, began his life in the realization of the talks between Spock and the
Romulan Empire. His schooling continued, teaching himself in the ways of
logic and science, also showing interests in tactical operations and
starships. His father was already a vulcan diplomat to the Federation, and
when Valeris expressed his interest in joining the Federation, his father
agreed inthe logic of the decision.

Valeris joined Starfleet academy after his graduation from the
Vulcan Science Academy, and began his tour of duty in Starfleet. At first,
his specialty showed to be Sciences, branching into medical, but then his
abilities changed, showing a 'naturality' for the tactical and strategic
operations posts. He continued his studies in starfleet, graduating from the
academy in the near top of his class. Some of that caused other officers to
bebitter, but due to the logical nature of his upbringing, it was of no
concern to Valeris.

He continued his duties from there on, being posted on various
starships. His abilities at the tactical console showed outright, as well as
his indepth attitude towards strategic placements. He was recuirted into
Starfleet Intelligence, his life suddenly being thrown a shadowy cloak on...


After a still unexplained tour of duty with Starfleet Intelligence,
Valeris emerged from the corporation, seeking reactivation into active duty
on starships, and also, save previous experience, wishing to remain a ensign.
His request was granted, and was transferred to starship duty, aboard the
Potemkin, as a Medical Doctor.

Robert was born in Winterset, Ia to Jacob and Nicole Boone. He was taught at
an early age about farming and botany from his parents, His father a farmer

Robert did not wish to be a farmer, but had a mild interest in botany, but
wanted to leave Iowa to persue a career in space, particularly to enroll in
Star Fleet Academy.
He was always interested in protecting others from harm, and had the ability
to percieve danger coming with his ESP. Boone is very quite and keeps to
himself alot, he is very shy and is high
strung, often nervous around others. He is a very good officer though, and
when in the line of duty a crises arises he is calm and
