As the Cardassian ships loomed above us, I ordered us to move in
protectively towards the S.S. Toral. The cardassian commander, Gul Kalek of
the 5th Order, hailed us, stating our incursion into the DMZ was in violation
of our treaty and to stand down. Before I could respond, one of the Klingon
commanders hailed us also. The Klingon, after delivering a mild insult, told
us this situation was none of our business. I informed them we were answering
a distress call from the freighter and asked them what
business they had with the Toral. Gul Kalek broke in to the hail at that
point and gave an ultimatum: Leave immediately or be destroyed. Realizing we
were outnumbered and outgunned, I decided to take the only option left open
to me. I ordered the crew and cargo of the freighter transported aboard our
ship. As the last of the cargo was being loaded, the Klingons opened fire on
the Maquis and the Maquis and Cardassians opened fire on the Odyssey. As
there was no way we could fight over five warships and
adequately protect the freighter, I gave the order to fire against the most
immediate threat at the moment, the Cardassians. One of the pieces of cargo
got caught in the crossfire and exploded in a pyro-technic display. I
immediately asked Damara to run a diagnostic on the cargo and engineering to
place a level one containment field around it.
[Return to Archives | Return to Listing ]
As it was obvious the cargo was some form of weapon, I requested FsLt
Sarvok to contact Starfleet Command. They needed to be informed of our
situation and to see if they had any info on the cargo we had just taken on.
Per Damara, the cargo was a highly explosive, quantum anti-matter weapon.
Starfleet command sent a subspace message stating they would dispatch the USS
Melbourne to assist. Thankful that assistance was forthcoming, I ordered a
continuous scan to give us advance notice of the Cardassian
and Klingon ships which we knew had to be in pursuit as we made our way
towards the nearest starbase.
[Return to Archives | Return to Listing ]
Captain Sitak of the USS Melbourne arrived in record time. I requested an
escort to the Starbase just as the Cardassions and Klingons arrived. As the
Melbourne engaged the enemy ships, our main power coupling exploded.
FsLtSarvok was killed. Ens GDT was wounded. As we had weapons, I gave the
order to assist the Melbourne and to commit extra shield power over the
entire cargo bay section of the hull. I knew that we couldn't depend on the
containment field alone to protect us from the explosives in the
cargo bay. My immediate thought was to eject the cargo into space. However,
I felt that as the Klingons, Maquis and Cardassians wanted that cargo
desperately, the last thing I was going to do was hand it over to them as a
gift. I also hesitated to detonate it in space as the Melbourne was heavily
engaged in crossfire. After only a few minutes of battle, the Odyssey took a
direct hit and was destroyed. The training mission was over.

Operations
We recieved a distress call from the SS Toral. They were under attack by
Cardassians, Maquis and Klingons, and we were sent to help them. Not a
plesent situation. When we got there, the Cardies demanded we leave or be
destroyed. Well, we didn't leave. Instead, we transported the crew and cargo
from the Toral to the Odyessy. It seems everyone wanted the cargo. It was
some kind of quantum thing, but I'm not sure what. Then, a chain reaction of
firing started. The Cardies fired on us, the Maquis fired,
then the Klingons fired on the Maquis.

The Odyessy is beginning to feel more like home, I guess. I'm settled
in, more or less. Commander Mason is here, always like serving under her. And
of course, Captain Klindt. He's good to serve under..::finishes under her
breath:: despite what you think, Ultimo. Sarvok has made me feel welcome,
too. Courtney, of course...Well, what can I say. She's Court! I don't know,
though..... It seems, even though I'm here, I've left a part of me on the
Columbia. I left a few friends on the Columbia. One came
with me, luckily. Wonder how Court is, anyway. I'm not sure what Ulti was (
friend, unknown life form, ect. ect.), and I don't think I'll ever find that
one out. I know Ed was dissapointed in me for leaving....Hey! I wonder if he
and Grace will come here...No. Not until after they get married and/or Grace
has the baby. Either one. Anyway, I know I'm already in a mess...... I know I
need to give the Odyessy time, but right now.. I don't know. It feels as if
I'm not welcome. :: looks towards panel,
remembering the conversation last night:: Oh well. I always can go to the
Hermes. I know I won't get into so much trouble! Jar'Tan will make sure of
that. ::laughs:: He'd make sure of that.....Two weeks and already two
transfer offers. This is getting rediculous!

LIEUTENANT (JUNIOR GRADE) GILL •
Chief Assistant Engineer- USS Odyssey
Today the crew of the Odyssey faced the infamous Kobashi Maru test. As would
be expected, the Odyssey was destroyed. We didn't go without putting up a
good fight though.
There was a little excitement in Engineering today. LtJg Tetro insubordately
spilled tea on my uniform after I politely asked him if he would get me a cup
of Earl Gray. I'm am seriously considering taking this to the Captain as a
case of deliberate insubordination.
LtJg Lemon asked me to take torpedos off line so he could try something, but
I never got to see what he wanted to try (as we were destroyed). I only hope
we never have to actually face such a situation in reality.

::Damara walks back into her quarters. She has just been to Engineering and
spoken with Ltjg Gill about installing the generator that she needs. She
sits down and pulls out the portable generator, pulls out the power coupling,
and attaches it to her side. As the generator works, she decides to take the
opportunity to record her logs::
Computer, open my duty log.
Computer> Duty log open.
Today, I was involved in a training exercise in the holodeck. The exercise
was designed to test the senior officers ability to command and to give
Captain Klindt an opportunity to evaluate our performance. In this
particular exercise, FsLtTamara was the Captain, Sarvok was the First
Officer, and I was Second Officer.
The exercise is an updated Kobayashi Maru, and as such is a "no win"
situation. The Odyssey received a distress signal from a freighter which was
located within the Cardassian Demilitarized Zone. The freighter is being
attacked not only by the Klingons but the Maquis as well! It is our
assignment to arrest the Maquis and force the Klingons to leave the DMZ.
Of course, when we arrived there, we attempted to talk to both the Maquis and
the Klingons but neither were interested in talk. As if that weren't enough,
the Cardassians soon arrived, telling us that we had no business in the DMZ
and that we should leave. Tamara ordered the crew and the cargo of the
freighter to be beamed on board the Odyssey. And then we were in BIG trouble!
Everyone started firing on us at once: Maquis, Klingons and Cardassians!
Meanwhile, I suggested we prepare a Thorian energy beam to direct at the
other ships' engines. This beam should freeze their engines long enough for
us to get away. Ltjg Gill responded to me in Engineering and prepared the
beam. We tried it but it didn't work and after a short time of using it, I
was forced to shut it down.
Our new Ensign, TomTrek was able to determine that the freighter's cargo was
a new weapon of some sort and that was the reason for everyone's interest.
Tamara asked me to analyze the cargo, and I discovered that it was apparently
composed of quantum anti-matter -- a highly explosive and unstable material.
I recommended jettisoning the cargo immediately. Others recommended using
the material as a weapon against our enemies.
However, Tamara was reluctant to get rid of the cargo, realizing that
Starfleet would want to know about any new weapon. We would have to figure
out a way to escape with the cargo intact. She ordered a stable containment
field around the cargo. We finally got some help when the USS Melbourne
arrived. They began fighting the Cardassians and Klingons so we would have
an opportunity to get away.
But then the Odyssey's main power coupling exploded! We weren't going
anywhere. Power conduits began exploding all over the ship. A panel even
exploded on the bridge and "killed" Sarvok (of course, it was just a holodeck
death). The Odyssey then took a bad hit, probably in the cargo area, and
exploded. We were all dead and the exercise was over.
Computer, close my duty log.

First Lieutenant Sarvok Cha'Tavek
Acting Executive Officer
Training Mission
Stardate 9610.12
Tonight, we took part in a training excerise. It was a training
mission designed to test the senior officer ability to command a starship, in
this case the Odyssey, and gave Captain Klindt a chance to evaluate our
performance. In this exercise, FsLtTamara was the Captain, I was the First
Officer, and Damara was the Second Officer. The exercise was an updated
Kobashi Maru, and had a "no win" situation.
The mission started out with the Odyssey recieving a distress
signal from a freighter which was located within the Cardassian Demilitarized
Zone. The freighter was under attack by the Klingons and the Maqui. Our
assignment was to force the Klingons out of the Demilitarized Zone and to
arrest the Maquis.
When we first arrived on the scene, we attempted to talk to both
the Maquis and the Klingons, but, as usual, neither of them were interested
in talking. As all of this was happening, the Cardassians arrived. So, we
were now up against 3 forces. They ordered us to leave the DMZ, telling us
we had no business in it. At this word, Tamara ordered that the crew and
cargo aboard the freighter be beamed at once aboard the Odyssey. When we did
this, the Maquis, Klingons, and Cardassians all opened
fire on us.
At about this time, Damara suggested that we prepare a Thorian
energy beam and direct it at the other ships' engines. She stated that the
beam should freeze their engines long enough for us to get away.
Unfortunately, once the beam was ready, and we fired it at the ships, we were
forced to shut it down as it did not work.
Ensign TomTrek was able to determine that the cargo that we beamed
aboard from the freighter was a new weapon of some sort, and that was the
reason that everyone (meaning the Klingons and Maquis) wanted it. The cargo
was composed of quantum anti-matter, a highly explosive and unstable
material. At this, a few members of the crew suggested that we jettison the
cargo, while others said that we should use it as a weapon. I believe that
we should have jettisoned it, because it would have taken
some time to set up a weapon to use it. Unfortunately, Tamara did not want
to get rid of it. So, we had to figure out a way to escape with the cargo
intact. She ordered a stable containment field around the cargo.
It was at about this time that the USS Melbourne arrived on scene.
They started attacking the Cardassians and Klingons so that we might have the
chance to escape. But, the Odyssey's main power coupling exploded. This in
turn caused power conduits to explode all over the ship. One of the panels
on the bridge exploded, and knocked me out. It appeared to everyone that I
had died, but, I didn't. But, by the time I came around, the Odyssey had
taken a bad hit, near the cargo area I believe,
and exploded. We all died, and the exercise was over.

Due to entering an anomoly we have been transported to a strange jungle
planet. Steph was injuried at his console before we were beamed here, and is
still unconscious, at this point I believe he has fallen into a come. We
shall closely monitor his vital signs and hope for the best. Algar is
suffering from a sore arm and Tam was knocked out. Both shall be just fine.
They medical staff is now greatly improved and I believe we shall be well
able to handle this crisis. We need to have someone run tox
screens on the local plants and fruits to see what is edible here. Would
not like to treat a poisoned crew. We also need to check for other life
signs to see if this world is inhabited!

Today Kate returned to the ship. I was very quick to welcome her back.
It was appertiated on the whole crews part that she returned.
We ( myself and Kate the CMO) went on an exploration, on a distant
planet, in a "beutiful" anomaly, that are ship incountered. We hiked up a few
mountains and took rock samples, we also had time to study are suroundings.
We sited some of the local wild life (A vast number ofthem too).

::Begins chipping log in stone on cave wall::
Now I know why this mission is called Marooned. Today we left Deep Space Nine
with 50 people to investigate a strange anomoly. We were ordered by Starfleet
to enter it. when we did we were put in some kind of stasis and beamed to a
jungle on some planet which, from my point of view appears to be ancient
Earth. I believe that some alien force has taken us and our ship and marooned
us in time. I believe we are back in time because I saw an African Monkey, a
creature only found on Earth, and which has also
been extinct since most of the Rain forests were wiped out in the 20th
century. But I think we are farther back then that. I thought I sensed a
presence of, what earth scientists termed, a Dinosaur. A "Dinosaur" has been
extinct for almost a trillion years now. I believe this because I felt a,
primal rage, something that was like nothing I had ever felt before, and I
know what most creatures on earth "feel" like.

went through the wormhole, we saw a strange anomaley, we ended up on a jungle

::Finds a peice of stone and a harder stone and starts carving his log::
I have no idea where I am, or where to begin. It all started a couple of
hours ago (or years or I don't know, we were put in stasis for god knows how
long). The Oddysey was docked at DS9 (for the record, my previous post). I
was happy to see my former Commander, Benjamin Sisko. Anyways, on with the
log. We went off from DS9 and, as ordered by starfleet, entered a strange
space anomoly which appeared to be a wormhole. as we entered we began
expeiriencing power fluctuations as soon as the anomoly started
phasing, until we lost all power. Then 50 ships decloaked, this may not all
be acurate, it happened so fast. They may not have de cloaked. They just
appeared out of nowhere. But we didn't have the time or power to scan them,
because almost instantly we were put in stasis and we ended up on this Jungle
planet. But I don't think this is some alien planet. I saw some wildlife from
Earth, that has been extinct for centuries! I thought I sensed a Dinosaur,
but the telepathic reading was inconclusive. Also I
have not found anything Alien. In fact this place's plant life looks
extremly similar to Earth. I am going to jump ahead and make a conclusion. I
believe some aliens have snatched us from our ship and taken us at least 20
centuries into the past. But not just to any planets past, to earth's past.
Also there seems to be some kind of field up that's blocking most telepathic
scanning. Telepathic communication is possible, but not scanning. I think
what I recieved from the Dinosaur was more a telepathic
communication, because it has been theorized, but never proven, that animals
use some form of telepathic communication, especially reptiles.
::Stops carving, closes eyes and attempts telepathic communication with the
Dinosaur::

Today was ummm . . . . interesting. We left DS9 to investigate an anomoly.
It was the most stunningly beautiful spacial body I have ever seen. The
anomoly was causing some power fluxuations in the core. I couldn't
understand it. That stopped for a while, then it somehow overloaded our
electrical systems causing conduit explosions everywhere. All of a sudden we
all blacked out. We we came to, we found ourselves in what appeared to be an
ancient Earth jungle. We found water and started working on
shelter. All we can do now is take care of ourselves and wait to see what
happens next. If anything happens...

From: Ens. Kanuchi
Subject: Duty log (Marooned1 )
StarDate: About 96:10:19
Mental Log Begin:
::::Looks around at surroundings:::: (Thinking out loud) Hope I remember this
so I can record this into the computer when We get back>
The Odyssey was on yellow alert when we left DS9 on Star Date 96:10:19. we
had left all but fifty of us at the station on shore leave since the
assignment seemed to be one that would not need a full crew.
I was at the Helm and and after being given the coordinates, I sent a course
for the Gamma Quandrant, where there had been reports of a stange "anomoly"
near the wormhole.
I was watching the sensor panels as the other bridge crew went about their
duties. I remember asking FsLt. Sarvok if his "cannon" was up and runnnung.
As we approached the wormhole, the instrument panel registered something
strange but no one else saw it so the Captain orderd us to proceed.
We continued into the wormhole, where we were engulfed by something that was
"Beautiful beyond discription". I remarked that beauty was in the eye of the
beholder.
Almost at hte same time it seemed , the Odyssey began to experience power
loss, odd readings on all panels and reports from engneering that one of the
power conduits had exploded and there were several injuries.
That is the last thing I remember untill I woke up in this jungle.
My first concern was to see if I stillhad my knives, which I did.
The second thing I did was to look around to see where I was and take a
mental note as to what the jungle had to offer for imediate food, water, and
shelter.
Lt.jg Gill, Ens. GDT., and myself have been assigned to look for others as
the rest started on shelter.
Shortly after leaving came, I heard what I thought was water and after
signaling to the other two, headed toward the sound.
I reached the river in time to see FsLt Tamara kneel down and take a sip from
the river. As I watched, she started to turn pale. I quickly and quietly
moved over to her location, about the same time as FsLt Sarvok appeared.
We both noticed that she was loosing conscienceness and Sarvok decided to
carry her back to base camp while I headed upstream to check out something.
End mental note....

First Lieutenant Tamara Zekad-Silona
SO/Counselor
Stardate 9610.20
Captain Klindt began the mission by promoting LtjgGill to Chief Engineer.
He then instructed Ensign Kanuchi to lay in a course for the wormhole. We
entered the wormhole at 20:30 hours. Kanuchi noticed some strange readings on
the helm scanners. Damara asked him to patch the readings through to her
console and I joined her. Captain Klindt ordered us into the anomoly. The
image on the scans repeatedly phased in and out.
We entered the anomoly at 20:45 hours. After a few moments, the ship
shuddered and several lights went out. LtjgGill reported several power
fluxerations in the core. Then, the anomoly phased. The captain ordered
Damara to launch a probe. The anomoly stopped phasing almost directly after
that. The probe suddenly disappeared. I accessed my console and attempted to
reconnect with the probe's sensors. I could not retrieve any information from
the probe, so I concentrated on the vague sentient bursts I
was receiving from within the anomoly. Several power conduits exploded and
we were plunged into darkness. Lt Steph was injured as his console erupted. I
ordered security to supply the bridge crew with hand lights.
[Return to Archives | Return to Listing ]
Damara then mentioned there seemed to be a correlation between the anomoly
phasing pattern and shifts in the electromagnetic radiation field. That
reasoning explained the power failures and the rash of conduit explosions
which were occurring all over the ship. Shields and weapons were down at this
point.
Then, fifty alien vessels decloaked and attached a tracter beam to the
Odyssey! We were all placed in some sort of stasis field. We were brought
into orbit above a Class M planet. The next thing I knew, I was alone in a
jungle. I knew I had been beamed down to the planet, however none of my crew
were in sight. I made my way toward a river. I knew that if any of the crew
were on the planet, they would know to congregate near water. I reached the
river and noticed the water looked quite fresh. I took
a drink...::::Tamara falls unconscious by the riverside:::::

First Lieutenant Sarvok Cha'Tavek
Strategic Operations Officer
Stardate 9610.19
On this mission we were ordered to the Gamma Quadrant to explore an
anomoly near the wormhole. Starfleet informed us that we should enter the
anomoly, and find out anything we could about it.
At the beginning of the mission, Captain Klindt promoted Lieutenant
(Junior Grade) Gill to Chief Engineer. This comes after our old Cheif
Engineer, Lieutenant Oodo transfered to the USS Stealth. After this, he
instructed Ensign Kanuchi to lay in a course for the wormhole. Once we
entered, Kanuchi noticed some strange readings on the helm scanners. First
Lieutenant (now Lieutenant Commander) Damara asked her to patch the readings
through to her consul. At about this time, I went down to
Sickbay to welcome our doctor, First Lieutenant KXyl, back. I talked to her
and her assistant, Lieutenant (Junior Grade) Kitkara, for a little while,
then headed back up to the bridge.
After a few minutes, we entered the anomoly. A few seconds later,
the ship trembled and lights went out on several decks. Gill reported that
several power fluctuations in the core. At about this time, the anomoly
started to phase. As to the captain's orders, Damara launched a probe. The
anomoly stopped phasing at about the same time. Then, the probe suddenly
dissappeared. We were unable to get any information from it before it
dissapeared. Several power conduits exploded at about this
time, and we were pitched into darkness. Not only did it knock out the
lights, but the shields and weapons were also down.
Then, fifty alien vessels decloaked and attached a tractor beam to
the Odyssey. We were then all placed in some sort of stasis field. The
Odyssey was then brought into orbit above a Class M planet. The next thing I
remember, I was in a dense jungle with Damara and a few more of the
crewmembers. The captain ordered us to a spot near a river, and we started
to build a camp.
It was at about this time that I noticed Tamara was not with us.
Some other crewmembers had already went off looking for her, so I decided to
go help. Knowing what she would probably go to the river and follow it to
find us, I decided to follow the river upstream to find her. I tried to
contact her telepathically, but I got no response. It was at about this time
I saw her. She was lying unconscious near the river. I rushed over to her
and was soon joined by Kanuchi. Kanuchi thought that
the water in this part of the river was somehow poisoned. So, Kanuchi and I
headed back to the camp. I picked up Tamara, and carried her back with us.
(I seemed to carry around a lot of people in that sim).
On a good note, Gill was promoted to the rank of full Lieutenant.
And, Damara was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Commander. I am very
happy for them both. They are great officers, and both deserved their
promotions.

On the unknown planet, one injury, Stav hurt his head. One animal problem,
it left the area luckily. We are doing fine so far. Seems to me that crew
morale is high. We have found food and have some shelters built. I am
doubling as doctor and cook right now. Not a bad idea since I love to cook
for a group. It is amazing to me the amount of hidden talents that come out
on a mission such as this one. Since we may be stuck on this planet for
awhile things could become very interesting. We do need
to find a pure source of fresh water though. Very important, as to boil the
amount the crew needs daily would become very tiresome.

Stardate: 24 hours from landing on the planet
From LtjgKNuChi
I, along with Lt. Gill, FsLt KXyl,and others were assigned to the Gamma Team.
The team leader is LCdrDamara. Our duty is to gather food and water for the
camp.
KXyl and I were teamed up and left camp together in search of food. We found
several types including Berries that KXyL said tasted like strawberries.
During this time, I was also looking for tracks of animals, not only for
possible food, but also as a precaution so that KXyL and I would not be
surprised by uninvited guests.
After we returned to camp, I informed LCdr. Damara of the tracks I had found.
We set off to see what they were along with Lt.Gill, while KXyL prepared a
fire and started on the "Stew", made of leaves, tubulars, and other items.
We soon came across the prey, a large Rabbit, and with the spear I had
fashioned with my Knife and a stick, I was able to kill the creature.
With permission of the leader, I returned to camp, where I dressed it out and
gave it to KXyL to add to the pot.
Lt. Gill was nice enough to ask me if I needed any help....

We are still stranded on this planet. Not that bad actually, I mean it could

class at the academt over survival. It was also interesting to watch
LtAlgar morph into differenrt
objects. Tracy and I talked very shortly. Our new member, EnsTorres did a
very nice job. Tracy and Torres were making a trehouse of sorts. I just
chopped, picked up and put the wood down in the specified place. Aside from
the splinters, it wasn't that bad.

The standard Klingon Dragon class fighter was designed as a
fighter/bomber. The standard Dragon class fighter is equipped with a
cloaking device. This fighter/bomber is 25% more manueverable than standard
Federation Hawk class fighters, and 15% faster at impulse. The fighter also
has an afterburner. The afterburner provides a quick boost of speed. A
special type of fuel is used to power these afterburners. The space in the
fighter is limited, due to engine modifications and disruptor
coils. This fighter is also a one-seat fighter, so the pilot is also the
person who controls the weapons and defensive systems. The fighter is thin
and streamlined, and extremely agile. The fighter has one mini-torpedo
launcher, and can hold 3 standard torpedoes. The shields aboard this fighter
are not very strong, mostly due to the power drain of the engines and
disruptors. But, this is countered with the ship's extreme maneuverability.
In case of emergencies, the pilot can eject in a small pod
that surrounds him/her. This fighter is considered one of the best fighters
in the Klingon fleet, possibly the galaxy.
Modifications to Sarvok's Fighter:
Sarvok's fighter is also equipped with a prototype reaper cannon,
specially outfitted with a prototype auto-tracking unit. Because this weapon
takes up so much room, Sarvok has removed the torpedo launcher from his
fighter. This cannon automatically tracks any target that has been bracketed
by the targeting computer. This allows the pilot to (A) fire the cannon in a
standard fixed mounted position, (B) fire with auto-tracking enabled,
effectively increasing the accuracy of the shots, or (C)
let the computer take complete control of the reaper cannon. Although this
weapon is very powerful, it creates a extreme power drain on the engines,
which effectively slows down the ship momentarily everytime it is fired,
leaving the ship somewhat vulnerable.
The cloaking device that Sarvok removed from the fighter is located
in the Fighter Bay. It can be re-conected to the fighter, in case the ship
is needed for reconnaissance missions. Once it is re-conected, the fighter's
speed is reduced by 45% and disruptor power is reduced by 59%. The reaper
cannon also cannot be used when the cloaking device is connected. If the
reaper cannon was fired at the same time the cloaking device was connected,
the resulting power drain would effectively disable
the fighter, leaving it adrift in space.

The Federation Hawk class fighter is the most widely used fighter
in the Federation fleet. These craft are 60% more manueverable than
conventional type VI (6) shuttlecraft and are 30% faster at impulse. The
space in these shuttles are very limited, due to the space taken up by the
engines and phaser coils, and there is no onboard transporter. The cockpit
has two seats, one for the pilot, and another for the operations officer.
Engine controls can be routed through to the pilot's consul,
while tactical controls are available at the operations officer's command.
Although the pilot can also handle the weapons systems, it is not suggested.
The fighter also has four type X (10) Stinger missles. Two on each of the
ships two hardpoints. These missles are somewhat powerful, and can take down
another ships shields fairly well. This fighter, like the Klingon Dragon
class fighter/bomber, has an ejection pod. The pilot and operations officer
both eject in the same pod. Although this fighter
is very agile, it is not especially strong. A few good hits, and it can be
heavily damaged, even destroyed. This is a flaw in all Federation fighters.

::Damara uses the personal recorder installed in her memory circuits to
record her logs while marooned on the mysterious jungle planet::
Stardate 9610.19: Day 1
The Odyssey was sent on a mission through the wormhole to investigate an
anamoly. When we reached it, I began scanning. Oddly enough, the anamoly
kept phasing in and out. The Captain ordered us to enter the anamoly in order
to investigate it further. Almost immediately upon
entering the anamoly, the Odyssey began to experience power failures.
Engineering reported major power fluxes in the warp core. The anamoly then
phased with the Odyssey inside of it.
The Captain ordered me to launch a probe, which I did. The Counselor
reported sensing a sentient life form. But before I could get any readings
from the probe to confirm this, the probe simply disappeared. We experienced
several more conduit explosions and power failures. It had
happened enough times now that I could ascertain a pattern. Each time the
anomoly phased, there was a slight shift in the electromagnetic radiation
field. That explained the power failures.
Before I could investigate further, however, the phasers exploded. Our
shields and weapons went down. Fifty spaceships came out of nowhere and we
were helpless to defend ourselves. The next thing I remember, we were on a
planet with no weapons, tricorders or other equipment of any kind.
No one seemed to be injured and I ran a quick internal diagnostic to check my
circuitry. Everything was working properly. Captain Klindt decided that we
should try to build shelter. We were in a jungle environment so it was
decided that a tree house would be best. While some of us began gathering
the materials to build the tree house, others tried to find a source of
water.
For some reason, Tamara had been separated from the group and Sarvok began
looking for her. He found her near the river. Later we were able to finish
the tree houses, so now we have shelter.
Once things had settled down a bit, the Captain announced promotions. I was
shocked when he called my name and promoted me to Lieutenant Commander! Gill
was also promoted and, in my opinion, he very much deserves it.

::As she did before, Damara records her logs on her internal recorder::
Stardate 9610.26: Day 2
Today the Captain divided us into teams. The first team was in charge of
continuing to build the shelters and the second team was in charge of finding
food and water. I was assigned to lead the second team. I spent most of my
time trying to find food for the crew. Actually, I think this is kind of
ironic, since I don't eat. I have no idea what things taste like so I hope I
get things that are palatable to everyone! My team consisted of Gill, Kxyl,
Kanuchi and Stav.
We hiked to the river and then I split the team up. Kxyl and Kanuchi went up
river while Gill, Stav and I went down river. At first we found some fruit
and gathered it together. We filled the baskets we had brought with us. Next,
I decided we would probably need some kind of meat. None of us had anything
to hunt with, but Gill was able to make some spears.
I discovered some fish in the water, and put Stav to work helping me to make
some nets out of the vines that seem to be hanging everywhere. My intent was
to try to catch the fish with the nets. However, I had forgotten about Gill's
android reflexes. He was able to catch a bunch of fish with his spear. We
used the nets to carry the fish back to camp.
Once we returned to camp, we met up with Kanuchi and Kxyl. Kanuchi reported
that they had seen animal tracks. I decided to follow the tracks and see if
the animal was something that could be killed and eaten. Kxyl volunteered to
start cooking the fish and Stav had been injured so they
stayed behind. Kanuchi and Gill came with me to try to find the animal.
Kanuchi very expertly was able to kill what turned out to be a large rabbit.
We returned to camp with our prize.
I knew this food wouldn't last long, so Gill suggested building a trap to
catch more animals in. I approved of his plan and began to help him. About
that time, Sarvok returned to camp and said he had discovered a small lake
nearby.

The type X (10) Stinger missle is one of the most efficient types
of Stinger missles. It has the best combination of speed, penetration, and
manueverability of any of the other Stinger missles. The type VIII (8)
Stinger missle is a heat-seeker missle, and is easily defeated through
onboard countermeasures. The type XII (12) Stinger missle is a friend-or-foe
missle. Although the IFF missles are more accurate than IR missles, the
smaller onboard computer on an IR missle allows more room for
propulsion and explosive devices, allowing greater penetration of a ship.
The type X Stinger missle is the most common type of missle carried on
Federation fighters, due to its greater efficiency.

We were asked to enter and examine a wormhole that was exhibiting
anomalous behavior. While inside, the wormhole began...well, for lack of a
better description... phasing in and out. Unfortunately, we had little time
to examine the wormhole's odd behavior because the ship began exhibiting some
odd behavior of its own: unexplained energy spikes and fluctuations.
The Captain sent me to Engineering to assist in determining the cause
of the fluxes, which were rapidly worsening. No sooner had I arrrived in
Engineering than the energy spiking became so severe that it was causing
conduits to explode all over the ship. By correlating data with the Tac and
Science officers on the bridge, we had made a preliminary hypothesis that the
electromagnetic variations in the wormhole were somehow affecting our
electromagnetic systems.
Regrettably, we were unable to do more than theorize as to the cause
of our troubles before we were placed in some sort of stasis. The next thing
we knew, we were on the surface of an unfamiliar planet with no idea as to
how we had gotten there or where our ship was. We had no data on which to
base any sort of explanation of how or why we were there and none with which
to formulate any plan of escape. Therefore, first order of business was to
see to the security of our personnel as best we could
and establish a base of operations so we could begin to explore our
surroundings and search out the data we required.

Commander P. C. Mason
Executive Officer
USS Odyssey
Duty Log
SD 9610.26
::log open::
This is one of the more unusual duty logs I've had to write during the
course of my Starfleet career. Never did I think I would be writing logs
about constructing treehouses and searching for a supply of fresh water. Ah,
well...::grins:: Here goes!
Engineering took on the task of designing and constructing shelter for
our crew. Due to our unfamiliarity with the flora and fauna of the planet
upon which we were stranded, it was deemed wisest to build treehouses.
Security and Tactical set up a security perimeter around the clearing we had
decided to make our base of operations. Medical was in charge of foraging for
food and fresh water.
There were a few mishaps: Tamara had been poisoned by ingesting some
water that appeared pure but actually contained something that was poisonous
to her, one of the engineering crewmen fell out of a tree while trying to
secure the roof of a treehouse and Ensign Vesalli became violently ill after
eating a tempting-looking red fruit.
Aside from those relatively minor happenings; we also, I'm sorry to
say, lost three crewmen to the depradations of some sort of native predator.
While the others completed the construction of our new 'home', the Captain
and I searched the area where the bodies of the crewmen had been found. We
hoped to discover the nature of the predator and its lair.
We followed what we believed to be one of the animals to a cave. Once
in the cave, we were confronted by an animal that I can only describe as a
cross between a hippopotamus and a crocodile. We didn't stick around to see
if the hippocrocopotadilemus <or whatever you'd like to call it> was friendly
or not; when it charged at us, we decided discretion was the better part of
valor and ducked behind a large rock. Once the creature had rushed passed us,
we followed at a distance.
Regrettably, we stepped atop some sort of weakening in the floor or a
concealed pit and plunged into a lower level of the cave system. Fortunately,
neither of us were injured by the fall but there appeared to be no way to
return to the upper cavern from where we were. We set off to explore the
caverns and, hopefully, find our way back to the surface and our crewmates.

While on the unknown planet a search had to be started for USF Klindt and
CmdrMason. There were several injuries resulting from said search, however,
no fatalities, and 2 large animals were killed to add to our meat supply.
Among the injured were: Cmdr Mason, LCdr Sarvok, Lt Wolfe1, Ens GDT, and Lt
Steph. Looks like we should set up a temporary infimary for the duration of
our stay on the planet. It seems that large and dangerous animals are quite
common here. Food is in good supply, now we need to
find a source of fresh water. Boiling duties are busily being attended to,
but it does not keep up with the need for fresh water and we are becoming a
grubby group. I must see if I can find some plant that can be used for
bandages, as we will run out of clothes to use on the wounded. Will ask Ens
Ftrman to keep his eyes open for an equivelent to cat gut as I am running out
of thread for the injured also. Hope that rescue comes soon.

Yesterday, we started out in a forest. The Odyssey had been captured and we
have been stuck in this planet for 3 weeks now. The crew had split up into 3
separate groups. We were looking for a sign back to camp because we were
lost. We were contemplating where we were when Tracy found six-inch claw
marks on tree bark! The animal that owend those claws turned out to bereally
nasty (moreon that later). LtWolfe1, I think, found some tracks. They turned
out to be from starfleet boots!
We followed the boot-tracks into a deep, dark, damp cave. Someone turned on
a light and we proceeded in. The team kept walking until we were swooped upon
by a giant herd of bats (and, unfortunately, we encountered bat guano)! After
they were gone, I saw some paintings on the cave wall. They were only one or
two days old. I hope we meet the primitives who made them. We sure could use
their help. We were almost to the end of the cave when a giant animal
attacked! Everyone except me formed a line with
their pikes. I stood back and fired a couple of arrows at the fierce beast.
They inflicted much damage, while the rest finished up. We continued hiking
and met up with a large group of the crew. We made it back to camp where I
designed a crossbw and waited.

Commander Mason. I found a tree that had some deep claw marks in the bark.
Since we had encounterd animals (Da animals, if you prefer;-) I immediately
called (Fst) Lt Tamara over. I knew that the Captain and Commander had
escaped.... Well, okay, so I assumed, hoped, believed, felt that... Anyways,
we followed the tracks we had seen. I was sticking close to
(Fst) Lt Tamara, so I didn't completely lose it. That's when Lt Steph got
hurt, the first time. (Fst) Lt Tamara took a vine and some leaves and coverd
the wound. Then we came to a cave. We had a couple of vines and we marked our
path, so we could get back out. Our team encounterd an animal, and killed it.
We also found the Captain and Commander. They had minor injuries only, but,
Steph had tripped again, Reyno was delirious, ect. Steph and I went back to
the camp and told Kate to prepare for injuries.
Congrats to Lt Cdr Tamara and Lt Cdr Sarvok!!!!!!!!!!!

::Damara gets up and joins Sarvok and the others. At the end of the day, she

her internal recorder::
Stardate 9611.02: Day 3
Today Sarvok and I supervised some of the crewmembers in digging pits around
the trees where our treehouses are located. The team consisted of LtAlgar,
EnsTomTrek, EnsGDT, Stav1701, FsLtKxyl, LtjgKnuchi, and Ensign Footerman.
Tamara led a second team which went out to search for the Captain and
Commander. That team consisted of LtSteph, LtjgReyno, Lt. Gill, FstLtTracy,
LtMcKenzie, and Ens Torres.
While we were preparing the pits, one of the large animals that live in this
jungle came into the camp and attacked us. The whole team rushed over to the
battle the creature. I stayed back, however, because my energy levels have
been so low lately. As I watched, Sarvok was hurt -- his arm slashed by the
animal's powerful claws. The team was able to kill the animal before it
could hurt anyone else.
Thinking we could use the animal for food, I assigned Stav to help Kanuchi to
cut up the animal. Kxyl began to work on Sarvok's wound. She did an
excellent job of sewing it up.
About that time, GDT came over holding a small animal he had discovered. It
seemed friendly enough, but I was concerned about any contact with the
animals on this planet. Then I thought that perhaps the animal was a young
one of the animals that had been attacking us. If we had one of their young
ones, it would explain why they keep attacking us.
Luckily, the Beta Team had returned by then. They found the Captain and
Commander safe and sound. Upon his return, the Captain promoted Tamara and
Sarvok to Lieutenant Commanders.

Stardate 9611.02: Day 3
I am happy to see that the camp is coming together very well.
Today, Damara and I overlooked a group of crewmembers who were digging pits
around the trees where the treehouses are located. We also gathered some
more food and wood. The team consisted of LtAlgar, EnsTomTrek, EnsGDT,
Stav1701, FsLt KXyl, LtjgK'Nuchi, Ens Fetterman. Tamara took a second team
to go look for the Captain and Commander. Her team cosisted of Lt Steph,
Ltjg Reyno, Lt Gill, FstLtTracy, LtMcKenzie, Ens Torres.
While the team was constructing the pits, I heard one of the large
animals that live in the jungle. I took K'Nuchi and Tom with me to
investigate. As we approached the noise, one of the animals jumped out of
the bush and started off towards the camp. I charged at it, with my dagger
drawn, and stuck the dagger into the animal's hip. The animal then turned
towards me, and slashed my arm open with its claws. Damara saw this and I
could tell through the telepathic link I have with her that she
was fearful for my life. So, I reasured her that I was ok. At about this
time, most of the rest of the team was attacking it. I then drove the dagger
deep into the animal's throat and a few seconds later, it collapsed to the
ground. I then got up to my feet and headed back to camp. I walked to one
of the trees, sat down, and leaned against it. I was starting to feel the
loss of blood at about this time and couldn't keep my head straight. Kate
came over, and sewed my arm up. She did a very good
job on it. She then handed me a bowl of her award winning stew < ;-) >.
After that, I cannot remember much, probably due to the blood loss.
I do remember Tamara's team coming back with the Captain and Commander.
Everyone was happy to see them. The Captain also promoted Tamara and me to
the rank of Lieutenant Commander. I am very happy about that, and I will
live up to this new rank.

I am writing this log on the inside bark of a large tree. I am using one
of the spear points as a stencil, so my accounting will be fairly brief.
Today was hair-raising. the Captain and Commander Mason had disappeared. I
led a team to find them. As we had been approached by some large carnivores
at the base camp, no time could be wasted in beginning a search and rescue.
One of my team located a tree with deep gouges, obviously made by claws.
Another member found the tracks of the Captain and Mason.
We followed the tracks to a cave. Inside the cave we were attacked by a
large animal. We dispatched the animal, with some of the team sustaining
slight injuries. Shortly after that, the Captain and Commander Mason came out
of the cave, relatively unharmed. After bandaging the wounds with leaves and
vines, we returned to camp victorious.

Ensign Tony Fetterman
Alpha team began shift by seeing to the establishment of Camp Oddyssey.
Beta team went out on recon patrol to find Captain Klindt and Commander
Mason. I began shift by inspecting our plans for the perimeter defense with
LCdr Sarvok.
I mentioned to LCdr Sarvok that the pits to be dug around the perimeter
of the camp should include sharpened and notched stakes to serve as an
additional deterent. He concurred and assigned me the detail. I began
selecting proper tree branches and sharpening them with a flat rock. I also
made mention that we could use a fire, to fire harden the tips of the stakes,
making them more effective. LCdr Sarvok again concurred and assigned Ensign
Stav to the task of making the fire.
After just having finished the punji stakes, a small group of Alpha team
members ( LCdr Sarvok, Ltjg KNuChi and Ens Trek) encountered a Da Animal not
far from the edge of the established perimeter. I arrived at the scene of
combat too late to help other than carrying the carcass of the Da Animal with
Ltjg KNuChi. When we got the carcass of Da Animal back to the camp, I
proceeded to skin and dress out the carcass.
I set aside the skin for curing, most of our clothing is becoming ragged

Day Four Maroon
This morning found us getting the camp secured from the native animals that
share this piece of whereever with us.
I began to walk the perimeter to see where the best place for the pits would
be when I heard a loud noise close to the camp sight. Sarvok yelled to me to
accompany him out to investegate along with Tom. After grabbing the spear, I
took off after him.
Shortly after entering the jungle area, Sarvok encounterd the animal and with
the skill of a great hunter jumped on the back of the beast and punctured the
animals lung.
By this time Algar had arrived and had changed into a metal clawed animal and
attacked the animal from the rear. Tom joined in while I stood ready in case
the animal broke free and tried to run.
During the furry that followed, Sarvok's arm was torn open but with the help
of the others he was able to kill the beast.
On theway back to camp I tore off a piece of cloth from my uniform and
started to give it to him when Damara arrived.
At that point I asked if we were going to keep the meat for food and after it
was decided we should, Ens Ftrman and I headed back to the carcus.
Ens. Ftrman (Tony) and I carried the animal back to camp, where he proceeded
to dress and skin the animal with great skill.
I took the heart of the animal to Sarvok and presented it to him in honor of
the fact that he was the one who cut the beast's throat and thus killed him.
Sarvok was haveing his wounds SEWN when he spotted another animal and threw
his knife and killed it.
As the day closed we heard the other members of the crew finally return.
Seeing Gill, I ran over to him to see if he was ok.

Open Log:
Today the crew and I participated in a "Kobayashi Maru." A test
designed to gauge the reactions of the commanding officers during a no-win
battle situation. The situation in question was about a frieghter that was
hauling something pretty important. So important that the Maquis, the
Klingons and the maybe even the Cardassians wanted. The Odyssey was
dispatched to retrieve the cargo and arrest the Maquis in the DMZ. We
arrived to see the frieghter being attacked by the Maquis and the Maquis
being attacked by the Klingons. We managed to beam aboard the cargo and
draw the attention of the feuding parties. Damara began to try and discover
what was so important about this cargo. Ensign Stav and I began running some
special security programs just in case we were boarded. Acting Captian
Tamara was holding them off with her normal bluster as the Cardassians
arrived to make things interesting. The engineers in Engineering were doing
the most in the entire mission. They were doing everthing
they can to keep the ship going under the threat of being blasted from all
sides. Lt Gill and Tetro did some miracles worthy of Chief Engineer
Montgomery "Scotty" Scott. With the work of the engineers and the quick
thinking of the Tamara, Damara and Sarvok they managed to discover the cargo
was some sort of weapon and tried to use it. For a moment I thought we were
going to beat the dreaded Kobayashi Maru. Then it happened the ships opened
fire on the Odyssey was destroyed. Despite Tamara and the
amazing work of the Engineers we lost. It made me think if Tamara ever
became a Captain for real the enemy of the Federation is in deep...What's the
expression? Doggie Doo?

Lieutenant Commander Tamara checked her chronometer and sighed.
Captain Klindt was only a few minutes late for this interview,
but she knew he wasn't particularly looking forward to it. She knew
he wasn't a shy person when in command, but he seemed a bit uncomfortable
with the idea of her asking probing, personal questions. However, he had
agreed to give her this interview for her files and Tamara suggested that
Commander Mason accompany him. Peri had a calming presence for everyone
on the ship, and Tamara felt that Peri could be helpful just by observing
the interview.
At that moment Captain Klindt appeared, Commander Mason following directly
behind him. "Good evening,Counselor", Peri smiled as she stepped into the
room. "Good evening", the Captain nodded. Tamara smiled back at Christian
and Peri. "Now we can begin. Have a seat please, both of you."
Tamara glanced at her padd, then looked up at the Captain.
"Sir, what is the most enjoyable aspect of your job as
captain?"
Klindt smiled briefly. "I enjoy the opportunity to work with the diverse
crew. I like to see what each one contributes to the ship."
Tamara made a slight notation. "What part of your captain's duties
do you enjoy least?"
The Captain frowned briefly, then said "I enjoy all aspects of my job."
Tamara looked at Klindt in surprise. "Even the paperwork?"
Christian looked at her blankly. "Yes, especially the paperwork"
Tamara leaned forward. "Everyone has something they don't enjoy.
Come captain, there must be some aspect of your job you would
forgo if you could."
The captain thought for a moment. "All right, I don't particularly
like pressuring crew members into writing logs."
Tamara grinned as she made another note, she disliked that part of her
job also.
"If you weren't the captain, what other position on the ship would
you like to hold?", she asked.
Christian looked thoughtfully into space. "I've always liked
Operations Manager and Science."
"If you hadn't joined Starfleet, what other career path would have
interested you?"
"I would have been interested in joining the Diplomatic Corps.",he said.
Tamara looked up at that. "The Diplomatic Corps, Sir? How did you become
interested in that?"
"Well, as you know, I grew up on Vulcan, and I am always interested in
learning more about other cultures.", he said seriously.
Commander Mason smiled at that, recalling her own period of service in the
diplomatic
corps.
Tamara looked back at her padd. Captain Klindt noticed Peri's smile and
returned it.
"All right, Christian. Do you have any hobbies?"
"Yes. I enjoy ice skating, swimming, and other forms of outdoor
recreation."
The counselor leaned back in her chair."What sort of
music do you enjoy?"
Captain Klindt thought for a moment. "I particularly enjoy
the Vulcan neo-classical period."
"Please describe in detail one of your favorite holodeck themes,Christian."
The captain glanced at Peri for a moment, then said "My favorite
is a 'winter-wonderland' program. In it, a sleigh takes one around
a snowy, woodland area."
Tamara smiled in response. "It sounds charming. If you could have
lived in any moment in time, when would that be?"
Christian smiled at both the ladies. "No time is better than the present."
"What do you find so wonderful about our time that is better than
previous periods?"
"Well, all of the people that I care about are in this time, and
in no other",the Captain stated firmly.
Commander Mason smiled slightly.
Tamara made some notes in her padd. "If you had the power of Q for
the day, what would you do?"
Christian looked her straight in the eyes and said, "I would feed
those who are not as fortunate as we are."
Tamara put down her padd and frowned. "That sounds like something from
one of those old Miss America pageants in the 20th century, Captain."
The captain just grinned and didn't reply.

(Crew interviews - Captain Klindt, continued....)
Tamara, determined to get a true answer from him, said "All right,
Captain, after you've fed the hungry, stopped all wars,
etc...what would you do with your powers, on a personal level?"
Klindt sat for a moment in thought.
Tamara made some more notes. "Take your time."
Christian finally said "I suppose that I would protect all of those
who I felt close to."
"If a crewmember showed promise in two areas, such as Science
and Engineering, how would you make the decision where to place him?"
The captain sat up a bit in his chair, happy to change the subject.
"I would consider which department could make better use of him."
Tamara asked, "Would the crewman's feelings be considered in the decision?"
"Perhaps a bit. But I feel that what ever is better for the ship would
prevail."
"Captain, if you could live any one of your years over again, which would
it be, and why?"
Christian smiled to himself. "I enjoyed my second year at the Academy.
I began to get the feel of the place, made great friends, and
started on my career in Starfleet."
Tamara smiled and put down her padd. "Thank you Captain for this interview.
I appreciate the time you've given me." Christian smiled and nodded.
"Anytime, Tamara." He turned toward the door. Peri stopped for a moment to
speak with the counselor. "I'll come in for my interview next week."
"Oh thank you, Peri", she said warmly. "That would be a big help. I intend
on interviewing all of the crew of the Odyssey. Let me know when is a good
time for you." "I will", Peri nodded. After they left, Tamara
opened the file in her padd and began to compile her notes...

The Odyssey, with 50 people onboard, was ordered to investigate and go into a
strange anomoly off DS9. When we entered, it began to phase and 10 ships
decloaked and took the Odyssey and marooned us on some planet in the Gamma
Quadrant. After about spending a month on that godforsaken planet s ship
crash landed on our planet. We used it to go up and find the Odysey. It had
incredibly crude weapons. It had a laser and some early form of photon
torpedoes, about early 22nd century technology. And to top it
all off, it had to sheilds! But Steph and I, using some warp fields and a
tractor beam, formed some crude sheilds. Steph amplified the laser through
the deflector grid (I don't know the details of how he did it) so we would
last about 15 minutes aginst the Odyssey if needed, and if we used the sheild
prefix codes to lower its sheilds, heck we could have beta it! But we never
did have to beat it. Sarvok and Algar went over in his fighter (which he
called over using some codes) and got to the bridge and
took control of the ship. We then were beamed over and went back to the
Alpha Quadrant through the anomoly. We left the ship there.

Operations
Our last night on the planet, Captain Klindt noticed a *falling star*.
It was falling to slowly for a star, however, and we determined it was
actually a ship. It crashed just outside of where our camp was, and we found
it, made sure it was safe, and went in. After we made sure everyone was
inside, we went in search of the Odyssey. We spotted the Odyssey on the
sensors. We kept out of the Odyssey's sensor range, as advised by (Lt) Cdr
Sarvok. Then, a ship decloaked(sp). Everyone, except (Lt) Cdr
Sarvok, was more than a bit scared. (Lt) Cdr Sarvok then announced it was
his fighter. We all calmed down after that. Lt Algar went with (Lt) Cdr
Sarvok Captain Klindt and (Lt) Cdr Tamara went somewhere. When (Lt) Cdr
Tamara came back, she was concernd. (Lt) Cdr Sarvok and Lt Algar completed
their mission and we were transported back to the Odyssey.

The Odyessey is once again our home. In a harrowing adventure with
only 1 injury, Sarvok and Algar have taken back the ship for us. With my
natural curiousity however, I wish that all of the enemy had not been killed.
Who were they, what did they really want? Wrer they studing us, or was
conquer all they had in mind? Did they perhaps need the Odyessey due to some
emergency within their own world? None of these questions can be answered
now. As a doctor, I will once again have to patch
Sarvok up. That man is gonna be all scars soon. I must state here and now,
it is good to be back. The sickbay on the cruiser was so primitave. I guess
when it comes to medicine, I like all the technology around me. <OUT>

Sarvok walks into his quarters after getting his arm patched up in Sickbay.
He moves it around, and smiles. "Kate did a good job, just like normal." He
then walks over to the replicator. "Computer, Rihan ale." He looks around
his quarters as the drink materializes, then once it is done, picks it up and
takes a sip. He then stops, looks at the drink, and shakes his head. He
places the glass back in the replicator and it dissapears. He then walks
over to the couch, sits down, leans back and put his
boots up on the table. "Computer," he states, "open duty log for Stardate
9611.09."
The computer chirps back, "Duty log opened....begin when ready."
"Well.....the Odyssey is once again our home. Now, I don't have to
keep my logs in memory. The way that we got back was actually kind of
exciting...well, for me at least. It all started when a transport ship crash
landed on the planet we were on. We managed to get the ship working again,
and were soon spaceborn again. Although this ship was very primative to our
standards, it suited our purpose. Before we found the Odyssey, I suggested a
way to get aboard the Odyssey undetected. It
involved getting my fighter from the Odyssey and sneaking Lt Algar and me
back aboard. Luckly, I had the cloaking device connected on it before we
left the Odyssey. Once we found the Odyssey, I sent a subspace command to my
fighter, and it took off from the Odyssey, and came to the transport under
cloak. When the fighter arrived, it decloaked and scared the crew half to
death. Although, I already knew it was my fighter, the Captain ordered the
ship to red alert. But, once the ship was identified as
my fighter, he ordered us to yellow alert. I docked the Dragon with the
transport, and got into it. Lt Algar morphed into his liquid state to fit
into the fighter. We then took off to the Odyssey under cloak."
He stops for a second to think, then continues. "Once we arrived
at the Odyssey, Algar and I headed to the weapons locker on deck 15. I got
to my locker and got a neurological diruptor gernade, and then we proceeded
to Main Engineering. Once we arrived at engineering, I shot the gernade into
the center of engineering, and closed the turbolift doors. A small explosion
was heard, and the doors opened back up. All the aliens in the room were
killed. I knew that that would alert the rest of
the aliens to our presence, so I told Algar to work on dissabling the
weapons systems while I took out the shields. Once we had this completed, I
told Klindt to proceede with boarding the Odyssey. A group of the aliens
then attacked us. I took a shot to the arm, but I managed to take out a
couple of them, and Algar took out the rest of them." He stops and rubs his
arm, which is still a little sore. He then clears his throat, and continues.
"We then headed to the bridge, and secured it. At about
this time, the Captain and Tamara beamed aboard. They arrived at the bridge
just as Algar and I took out the last alien. We then beamed the crew aboard
and destroyed the transport."
"There is still one thing I do not get. How did those aliens get
control of the Odyssey? I mean, when Algar and I boarded the Odyssey, they
didn't really put up a fight. Unfortuantely, all of the aliens were either
killed, or escaped, so we cannot study them. Possibly we will get something
from an optopsy of one of them. I would also like to say what a fine job
that Lieuteant Algar did. Without him, I know my plan could not have
succeded. In my opinion, he deserves a medal for his
service to the crew and his superior officer." Sarvok stops and looks
around his quarters. "Computer, close duty log and save."

I am happy to report that the Odyssey crew is all back safely aboard. From
what little I've seen so far, the ship seems to be okay except for Sarvok's
handiwork. We still have little or no information about who kidnapped us and
why, but I plan to check the internal sensor data. Perhaps we can find out
what happened to the ship while we were gone.
We are all lucky to be alive. Luck showed up in the form of a downed
transport that crashed into the planet we were on very close to our camp. It
appeared at first to be a shooting star, but the speed and trajectory were
all wrong. When we discovered it was a ship, we immediately went to work to
repair it and get it into shape to fly again.
Thanks to our wonderful engineering crew, we were able to launch the
transport within no time at all. After we launched, we were able to locate
the Odyssey using the transport's sensors. Since the aliens were more than
likely still on board, Sarvok suggested that he use his homing device to
retrieve his fighter. He planned to use it to return to the Odyssey and
disable her engines and weapons so that we could regain control of our ship.
The Captain agreed to this plan and Sarvok left with Algar. Algar went
because the fighter's seating capacity is limited to one. As a shapeshifter,
he could squeeze into the cockpit with Sarvok. After Sarvok and Algar left,
the Captain asked me to use my telepathic link with Sarvok to determine their
status. I was able to contact him and learn that he had disabled engineering
and was on his way to the bridge.
Soon after that Sarvok was wounded, but not critically. He was hit in the arm
with a phaser. I'm sure he will tell me that it's just another scar to add
to his collection. The Captain and LCdrTamara then beamed over to the
Odyssey and helped Sarvok and Algar take the ship. Once they had control,
the rest of us beamed over and we have all now returned to the Alpha
Quadrant.

Just before turning in for the night at Camp Oddyssey, Captain Klindt
noticed a "shooting star". The "shooting star's" tragectory and speed were
not consistant with that of known meteorlogical phenomena. Further
investigation revealed the "shooting star" to be a transport that crash
landed near our current position.
The entire crew moved out and began searching for the crashed transport.
Upon arriving at the crash site and clearing it for any hostiles, the
engineering crew then moved in and began repairs. After repairs were
completed the entire crew boarded and we moved out to find the Oddyssey.
Shortly after leaving the unknown planet, the Oddyssey was located and
an intercept course was plotted and laid in. LtCdr. Sarvok devised a plan
for retaking the Oddyssey which was successful. I was not a part of the ship
reclaimation group or the boarding party so I do not know any details of the
operation.
After being beamed over to the Oddyssey, I began removing the bodies and
moving the stunned aliens into the medical ward for CMO KXyl.

We have found a way off the Jungle Planet and not only have we been able to
find the USS Odyssey but have been able to take control of her.
As for my duties, they were fairly routine except for the minor glitches that
occured during the time we left the planet and the time we found the ship. I
was able to guide the "shuttle" off the planet, head her out on the
coordinates given to me and maintain our course even when the control panel
started to black out. The rest of the crew were involved with the recovery
efforts.
The only tense time to speak of was when I started to have problems with the
instruments and my reaction time was slower than was expected, then the capt.
became impatient.

My team's goal was to find the Captain and First Officer. Our search started
off a little bumpy. Lt Steph kept hurting himself in horrible accidents. We
searched around for a while and came to a cave. A swarm of bats came
screaming out and frightened most of the group. As we went further in, I
used my internal flashlight so we could see. We were attacked by one of "da
animals" and managed to kill it (really kill it). The Captain and XO came
strolling out of the cave and their wounds were treated
and they will be fine. All of our group came straggling into camp tired,
weak, and some injured. K'NuChi came out to greet me as we came in. I sure
was glad to see her again uninjured.

This mission was one of these that makes me proud to be a Starfleet
Doctor. Resucing people that need our help. We now have a group of Bajorans
aboard that were being held as prisoners by the Klingons. Of course, there
will be alot of medical attention needed in the next few weeks. Immediate
care is the important thing, ( the Klingons have no idea how to vare for
children of other races. Although the wounded are few, the children are
starved) and is being attended to by myself and my group. Then
follow-up mental care from Tam, and we shall turn them over to the medical
staff at DS9. I have requested security help to perform autopsies on the
aliens from our last mission. It is important to find out all we can about
these beings that so easily overpowered us. <Out>

Lieutenant Commander Tamara Zekad-Silona
Second Officer / Counselor
Stardate 9611.15
We had received word that the Klingons had attacked a Bajoran settlement
on the edge of Cardassian space. Allthough initial scans had indicated that
all the Bajoran's had perished in the attack, Bajoran intelligence believed
that there were survivors. Their reports indicated the Bajorans may have been
relocated to an asteroid in the Badlands, which has been used as a penal
colony in the past.
I was assigned to the Beta team. Our mission, to rescue all Bajoran and
any other Federation prisoners. The Beta team, consisting of Captain Klindt,
Commander Mason, Ensign Torzel, Lieutenant Gill, and myself, beamed down to
the asteroid's surface. I had asked Lieutenant Commander Damara to initiate a
life form scan prior to beaming down in order to be forewarned as to any
hostile encounters. Hopefully, the scan would also pinpoint the location of
any Bajorans. Damara was unable to locate any life
forms other than the away team. Despite that, we encountered a Klingon
shortly after we arrived.
