Personal history:
Hazard was born on New Earth at the very young age of 0. After he was born,
his mother was slightly injured in a raider attack. His parents taught him
about his world's history and customs. He decided that because of his
physical attributes and the fact that his mother was injured due to the lack
of security, he wanted to protect and fight. So, at an early age, he studied
forms of martial arts from the computer. He became an accomplished fighter.
Better at hand-to-hand combat than weapons, but he can handle a weapon. His
personal choice for a weapon is a projectile-firing chemical combustion
weapon. He hides in under his fur strapped to his arm where he can get to it
a moments notice. It is also extremely hard to scan for.
Other stuff: : Hazarstennaj is a typical member of the Katuman species. His
body is denser than humans, which allows for great strength and durability.
His body has a special organ that harnesses a form of bio-energy. He can heal
rather quickly by concentrating (a sleep like trance) on his injury by using
this form of bio-energy. It is because of this bio-restorative energy does
not age at a normal human rate. Special Limitations: He has to replenish
his energy by entering a sleeplike state every 18 hours. If he does not he
begins to show signs of aging which if unchecked will cause his demise.
Physical attributes:
A Katuman is like a cross between a large cat and a human. The hands are
large with 8-inch retractable claws. The K-9's(teeth) are longer and razor
sharp, like the claws.
Doctors note: if I am injured in the sim and unconscious, unless it is
life-threatening, don't do anything, and never wake me up.
Hobbies:
He loves dogs (probably because he is like a cat and loves the way they act).

Physical description: Trista's appearance depends on what form she is using.
For her everyday dealings with her friends and job, she appears as a female
human about 5'5" with reddish brown hair. (She found this form to be the best
when dealing with people at the Academy and prefers to use it in her everday
life.) She can change her shape to be any creature that she wants from a
very small to a large opposing figure if it is necessary. Trista does
not like to change her form in front of people.
Personal History:
================
Trista was born on the warring planet of Daled IV. She didn't believe in the
political views of her family so she snuck off her planet at the age of 16
aboard a merchant trading vessel that came to her planet to do business. She
spent 2 years traveling before she made her way to earth. On earth she met a
woman who "adopted" Trista and helped her decide on a career in Starfleet.
Although Daled IV is not a member of the Federation, Trista requested
to take the entrance exam to Starfleet academy. She
passed the entrance exam with such high marks, that she was accepted in
Starfleet academy on her first try.
Trista is very independent, probably due to her being on her own from the
time she left home at 16. Although she made many friends in Starfleet, she
is a quiet person. Trista prefers to sit back and observe a situation before
she runs head-long into it. By nature, Trista is very curious, and hates not
knowing what is going on in any situation. She has found her shape-shifting
ability very helpful in retrieving information she wouldn't otherwise
have access to. (She has never shared with anyone that she does this, she is
afraid that it will probably get her into trouble.)
Trista has a playful sense of humor with people that she knows well, but is
more reserved around those she doesn't. In her spare time when she is alone,
she enjoys exploring the world as different lifeforms to get different
perspectives about things.
Early Education and Starfleet Academy

As a child, Trista was taught at home by her parents and private tutors. Her
parents were both research scientists, and they passed along their love for
science to their children. From a very young age, Trista loved animals and
showed an interest in the biological sciences. Her parents encouraged this
passion and gave her all the information that she could handle. The war kept
her parents from being able to spend a lot of time with her and her
two brothers, and Trista felt that her eduacation was being cheated by
something that she didn't even believe in.
At Starfleet Academy, Trista majored in science and medicine. She had a
strong background in science already due to her parents, but she wanted to
expand her knowledge in this area. Trista found that piloting classes also
intrigued her, and she became a proficient pilot. Trista was not fond of her
weapons training classes, she had experienced too much death on Daled IV, but
she did learn basic combat stategies.
Trista took 5 years going through the academy, due to her double major. She
graduated in the top 2% of her class.

Trista misses her family terribly, but has no desire to ever go home. She
has contacted them only once since she left home 9 years ago, and that was to
tell them that she had graduated from Starfleet Academy. They had believed
her to be dead, and were overjoyed to learn that she was still alive, but she
refused their plea to come home.
After Trista made the cross over to the alternate universe, she found herself
in an alien and sometimes hostile environment. She was kept in the alternate
Darmok's brig for several days while the acting captain decided what to do
with her. She was taken to the the Alliance Headquarters where she
interrogated for days. The authorities there, finally convinced that her
story was true, allowed her to return to an acting position aboard the Darmok
in
hopes that she would find a way to return to her own universe as quickly as
possible. The Captain of the Darmok was ordered to continue with its current
mission, but to look for a possible means of returning Trista where she
belonged. Trista was not allowed to roam freely on any planet or base that
the Darmok encountered for fear that she would some how contaminate this
universe with her "backward" thinking. Trista followed all of their
directives
in hopes of maintaining good relations with the Alliance of Planets. She
knew that if she was ever going to find a way home, she must remain aboard
the alternate Darmok until someone from her own Darmok found her.
Trista was found by the USS Kemo Sabay after a supernova in the Delta
quadrant on SD9703.05. The Kemo Sabay had lost many of its senior officers
including the First Officer and after she came aboard and her experience
noted by the captain, she was offered the XO position.

Siblings’ Info:
Bojan was born 2 years after Sergei, and up until Sergei entered the
Academy, were quite close. Bojan attended the same schools as Sergei did, but
shared different interests. While Sergei liked to play music, Bojan liked to
play sports. When Sergei was dreaming of becoming a musician, Bojan was
dreaming about becoming a "Big Leaguer" in the Alpha Centauri League.
Even though the two boys were quite different, they managed to remain
close until a girl drove them apart. During Sergei’s senior year in High
School, he was seeing a girl named Stephanie pretty regularly. When they
broke up near the close of the second semester, he was crushed. Bojan soon
got over her, but would be amazed to learn weeks later that Stephanie had
left him for his older brother, Sergei.
This hurt Bojan, and led him to not speak to Sergei. To this day, Bojan
has not said a single word to Sergei since Sergei’s senior year. Sergei has
tried several times to reconcile with his younger brother, but to no avail.
Academy life has been good to Bojan, he is one of the more popular kids in
his class, and is on Blue Squad (below Red Squad "a few notches"). He has a
steady girlfriend, and is thinking of asking her to marry him. Also, during
his training cruise, Bojan saved the ship (USS LeSabre), this earned him a
commendation from Admiral Halsey (Commanding Officer of the LeSabre).
Rosa, Sergei’s sister, was a very nice, and attractive young lady. She
had many friends and had a boyfriend. However, Rosa was kidnapped by an
unknown person when she was 13, the only clue was a piece of cloth which had
traces of a vegetation which only existed on Moamph VII. Rosa was never heard
from again.
Sergei never really knew Rosa because she when she was only 7 he was accepted
into Starfleet Academy. And when she was entering her teen years, he was out
exploring the Galaxy.
Parents' History:
Boris & Vlada were both born in Siberia , and were childhood friends. They
attended the same schools, and in High School, were "sweethearts". After
graduation, they were married, against the wishes of their parents. Weeks
later, they returned home, to find that their parent's were very angry with
them both. They were not allowed to see each other again.
A few weeks passed without disruption, however one night, Vlada and Boris
were missed at the dinner table. After a few hours passed, and no sign of the
two of them, both sets of parents called the other's house. After a brief
discussion, the four of them realized the enormously of the situation. Boris
and Vlada had run away.
Now, safely stowed away on a freighter headed to Vulcan, Boris and Vlada
embraced. They were away from their parents and others opposing their love.
After the trip to Vulcan, Boris and Vlada were discovered by the ship's
(SS Proteus) helm officer. The helm officer, who's name was Aren, told the
captain, who's name was Zukes, about the two stowaways. Zukes, who had been
in a situation such as this before, decided to allow the couple to stay on
the Proteus on the condition that they serve on the crew. The couple thought
that it was a fair agreement, but they didn't have much, if anything, to
contribute to the crew. For, neither of them knew anything about starships.
Zukes let them have full use of the Proteus' modest computer system, and
offered to assign someone to teach the two of them anything they would like
about starships and, in particular, the Proteus. During the next three
weeks, still in Vulcan orbit, the two newest members of the Proteus crew
began to learn anything and everything that they could about starships.
In as little as four weeks, Vlada and Boris were ready to try their hand
at operating the Proteus. They got their chance soon enough, their next
shipment was one thousand kilos of Yomak Sauce to Andoria. This, in itself,
was not the cause of the two being able to use their new found skills, but
the original helmsman was in trouble with the law on Andoria and opted to
stay on Vulcan while the Proteus carried out her next ''mission".
Alternating at the helm the whole journey, the two were complemented by
Captain Zukes as being "naturals".
Upon returning to Vulcan to pick up their original helmsman, the crew
found out that he had been apprehended by Bolian bounty hunters. So, due to
this circumstance, Vlada and Boris found themselves carrying out regular
shifts on the Proteus' bridge and becoming a part of the ships crew.
The Proteus was to be their home for twenty-one years, before an incident
with the Enterprise-C caused half of the Proteus's crew go to a penal colony
on Moamph VII. Vlada and Boris were not sent to prison because they had
joined the crew after the crimes had been committed.
Forced to leave their home of twenty-one years, Vlada and Boris decide to
return home, to Earth. They return to Siberia, to their homes, to find that
their parents had passed away years ago. Grief stricken, they decide to reach
for the stars once again, however, they both agreed that they should stay
planetside for at least a month.
Three weeks later, after a "night on the town", Vlada went in for a
checkup, because she hadn't had one in a decade or so.
After returning to their parent's house, where they had been staying,
Vlada sat down on the couch and summoned Boris. Once Boris had entered the
room, Vlada told him that she was pregnant....
Awards/Recognitions:
Sergei, at the age of 11, was awarded second prize for a school history
fair project. His report was on Zefram Cochrane, the inventor of warp drive.
The first place winner did her report on Captain Kirk, who was presumed dead
at the time. Sergei did not get over this for quite some time.
During Middle School (Junior High), Sergei was given a medal for
excellence for his trombone playing skills. This provoked him to become more
involved with his school band and orchestra.
Also during Middle School, due to his grades, he was one of the few
selected to be given an past Starfleet Academy Entrance Exam. He made a C-,
which was considered excellent for a kid of his age.
High School did not give Sergei the opportunity to earn many awards, but
he did continue to excel in the band, earning a seat on a world wide
tournament. He did not do as well as he had hoped, earning fourth place. His
prize, a plaque.
Upon joining the Academy, he was offered a place on the Academy Band. He
declined the invitation, a decision that he would regret for the rest of his
Academy years.
Childhood (PRE-STARFLEET ACADEMY):
Sergei went to a modest Elementary School in Siberia, he was never the
"popular" kid, but was not a loner who was ridiculed by other classmates.
Always loving music (the trombone in particular), he was always day-dreaming
about growing up and becoming a professional trombonist and touring the
galaxy. Eventually, he grew out of that fantasy, but continued to play the
trombone.
Once he entered middle school, Sergei wanted to serve onboard a starship,
not necessarily a Federation starship, but a starship nonetheless. His grades
during middle school (teen years) were not excellent, but they were slightly
above average. He had a "steady" girlfriend in the eighth grade, but she
eventually moved away with her parents to Vagoba III. He was crushed, but he
got over her, eventually.
High School was a great four years for Sergei, he was semi-popular, and
had a semi-decent dating life. He continued to play the trombone, and, during
his senior year, was invited to play in a world wide band tournament (of
which he placed 4th). He still wanted to pursue a career onboard a starship,
but someone managed to steer his mind towards Starfleet. This person was a
family friend of his, named Boothby. Boothby told Sergei that the only way
to go in a starship career was Starfleet. Sergei took Boothby's advice and
applied that summer.
Starfleet Career
Academy Career:
Sergei was accepted into Starfleet Academy later that year. His parents
were proud of him, and Boothby was as well.
Upon joining, he found himself housed in Cadet 4th Class Barracks 4, with
Cadet (4th Class) Rico as a bunk mate. Now, Sergei liked Rico, but found him
overall "messy".
The Administration of the Academy say that they don’t have Fraternities,
Sororities, or Cliques, and as far as they know they don’t. But, there are,
and Sergei found himself inclined to join one. This little "clique" was named
Zeus Squad, headed by Cadet (1st Class) Oppenhiemer. The reason Sergei was
accepted into such a clique was due to his humor and holoprogramming skills.
So, all things considered, Sergei was having a great time at the
Academy.
Now, finding himself a Cadet (4th Class), he was having to work and study
hard for the classes (Freshman Engineering, Federation History, Chemistry,
Galactic First Aid, Warp Mechanics, and Space/Time Continuum Theories) that
he was taking for his Freshman year.
Sergei was also having trouble adjusting to the social conditions which he
was faced with. Not that he wasn’t friendly, and that he didn’t make friends,
but he didn’t speak a word of any language other than Russian and he didn’t
want to lug a Universal Translator all around campus. So, he spent some of
his free time in the Academy library learning English, Spanish, French, and
Latin. He soon mastered English and Spanish, but did not speak French
and Latin fluently until he graduated.
Finally, his freshman year was over, and he was officially a Cadet (3rd
Class). He was happy, not ecstatic, but happy.
Sophomore was a formal title, what higher (and lower) classmen usually
called sophomores were "pissheads". So, being a "pisshead" now, he decided to
go somewhere for the summer break. So, he requested transfer to a starship
(which was normal among Academy students) where he could learn and study.
Well, two weeks after he requested it, the transfer came through, and he was
shuttled off to the USS Crazy Horse under the command of Captain Duff
McClain. During his two months onboard the Crazy Horse (or just plain Horse
as the regular crew liked to call it) he made many friends and learned a lot
about starship life. Sergei was quite popular onboard, and, by the end of his
time there, was good friends with the entire senior staff of the Horse.
So, school began in September for Sergei, and he found himself a member of
the "government" of the Zeus Squad, he was elected Zeus Squad councilman,
which basically meant that he was able to fly one of the more advanced of the
Squad’s 20 fighter trainers. He was happy about that, even though he had
didn’t have the faintest clue as to how to fly his. He found his freshman
year bunkmate, Cadet Rico, and asked Rico to teach him how to fly it, Rico
agreed and taught Sergei in a matter of weeks. Soon, Sergei was up there with
the best of him, and having the time of his life.
Academics were coming to him almost as well, he was studying Modern and
Ancient Terran History, Weapon Usage and Repair, Survival Training, and
Quantum Mechanics. Finding himself in the top percentile of his class, Sergei
was loving the Academy.
Feeling that his free time was going to waste, Sergei joined the Chess
Club. He was accepted on the spot because he was a Russian, Sergei didn’t
have the heart to tell them that he had never played Chess more than twice.
He quickly learned, and was soon ranked 4th out of more than seventy-five.
Soon Sergei found himself a Junior, a Junior with an entire summer ahead
of him, so he requested transfer onboard a starship. He didn’t get exactly
what he was looking for, instead of a starship, he got a transfer to a
spacestation. Starbase 77 to be exact. So, instead of being transported by a
shuttle like he was to the Horse a year earlier, Sergei was transported by
the USS Galaxy, who had just visited SB77 and had a little run in with the
Thalloians. It took a week for the Galaxy to reach SB77, so Sergei found
himself intertwined in starship life once again, and did not have as good of
a time as he did on the Horse. Why? Because the Horse was a seasoned vessel,
and had been in service for many years, while the Galaxy was the first ship
of her class and still had the "NX" prefix. He was also not one of the
Captain’s favorites because, late one night while jogging, Sergei had ran
into
the Captain and caused the Captain to sprain his ankle. Sergei knew that he
was not in the captain’s good graces.
Once the Galaxy arrived at Starbase 77, Sergei parted ways with the ship,
and walked into a summer that he would not forget.
As soon as he arrived onboard Starbase 77, Sergei felt it necessary to
report to the commanding officer of the starbase, Commander Rixx. Once he
arrived at the Commander’s Office, he "rang" and the Commander did not
answer, he "rang" again, and again, until he inquired to the computer whether
Commander Rixx was onboard Starbase 77, and the computer replied, in its
emotionless voice, that the Commander was in his quarters. Sergei found that
strange, and proceeded to "ring" again.
When Commander Rixx did not answer the final time, Sergei decided to report
this to Station security, he did, and when a detail came to the Commander’s
Office, they found him dead. Sergei was shocked, and the Starfleet crew
onboard the starbase was devastated. So, with a killer on the loose, the
Starbase was on a station wide red alert. Sergei, although new, was on one of
the security details who looked for the killer. They did not find the killer
then, but years later, the killer would surface, kill again, and would be
caught by Sergei himself.
Being the station’s XO, Lt. Commander Valeria became acting-CO for
Starbase 77. Needing an acting-XO, Valeria appointed Lt. Johns, the Chief
Engineer, to be her XO, he agreed and took the job. So, that left an opening,
which was filled, for the Chief Engineer, and now an opening for Assistant to
the Chief Engineer opened up and Sergei was chosen for that position. He
found it amusing that a cadet was doing an ensign’s work. So, after only one
month at Starbase 77, Sergei was the Assistant to the Chief of Engineering,
and filling his free time reading about THE Enterprise, and the escapades of
Captains long dead. This went on for about a month, and then, disaster
struck.
One morning, a "squadron" of Thalloians warships crossed the border and
proceeded in the direction of Starbase 77. Lt. Commander Valeria put the
entire station on red alert, and initiated the weapons systems and sent a
distress call to the nearest starship, USS Halo, and requested assistance.
Minutes later, the squadron opened fire and damaged the Starbase’s
shields. Being in Engineering, it was Sergei’s job to try to put as much
power as possible into the shields. The Starbase had to keep the squadron
"busy" for at least half an hour to give the Halo time to reach the Starbase.
Damaging one, and destroying another, the Starbase was fairing well, but
still threatened with destruction. There were three warships which were still
operational, and the Starbase was down to 30%.
Finally the Halo arrived, and the warships were driven off or destroyed,
but Sergei was in the infirmary. During one of the last volleys of photon
torpedoes shot by the Thalloians, a console near Sergei had blown out and
thrown Sergei across Engineering, and he landed on a shard of metal, which
punctured his lung severely. He needed an artificial lung.
So, he was given an artificial lung at the Starbase, a day after it had
happened. He felt great when he got out of the infirmary, although somewhat
fatigued.
Since his tour was almost over, he left Starbase 77 aboard the Halo, and
stayed in his quarters the whole trip. When he left the Halo, and went to the
Academy, he was eager to start his classes.
So, school started again, basically the same, he stayed a council man on
Zeus Squad, but didn’t participate as much as he did sophomore and freshman
year.
So, not much was different, read of old ships and captains, learn
Starfleet procedures, and other things needed to survive as an officer.
He took the usual classes for Shuttle Piloting, Temporal Mechanics, Command,
Diplomatic I & II, Alien Physiology I, and some other classes in which he
slept through the whole year.
So, Junior year eecked by, slowly but surely, with nothing eventful
happening. And with summer came, he decided against going on a training tour,
because he felt that he needed to spend some time with his parents.
So, after he had taken his Junior Finals, he took his Zeus Squadron
shuttle, and sped to Siberia, where he planned to spend his whole summer with
his parents. But when he got there, the unthinkable happened, his parents
were dead. Later tests proved that they both died from a heart attack, but
Sergei always suspected foul play.
He spent the rest of his summer in mourning, at his parents ocean front
property. He missed his parents deeply, and never truly got over their
deaths. For months, he was grieving, and had no contact with the outside
world.
Though, in August, he was to return back to school, which he did. Though,
he found his grades slipping, and finally, he went from 1st in his class, to
2nd, and then 3rd, finally, in the middle of the second semester he found
himself 13th in his class. Though, he tried much harder at school, at the end
of the year he was only 7th. So, if he wanted to graduate with honors, he had
to ace the Kobyashi Maru. Which he planned to do. So, for three
continuous days, he locked himself in his quarters (personal quarters were
given to all seniors) and studied about famous commanding officers and their
ships. He finally came up with a solution. So, when the time came to take the
Maru, he took it, and even though the ship he was commanding blew up, the
crippled ship survived.
With his senior year over, Sergei found himself happy and ready for
anything, with 4 years of hardening and training at the Academy, he was now
prepared to become Ensign Sergei.
Prior Assignments:
Cadet (2nd Class), Assistant to the Chief Engineer - USS Louisiana (2373)
NOTES:
His assignment on the Louisiana was his training cruise, he was the
assistant to the Chief of Engineering, Lt. Commander Eisenhower. He liked
working in Engineering, and was glad that he chose to "major" in that field.
While serving onboard the Louisiana, Sergei had his first taste of one of
his favorite foods, Gagh. He was given this opportunity due to the Louisiana
"stumbling" upon a crippled Klingon Bird of Prey, and he was part of the
Engineering Detail that was sent to repair some of the ship’s systems. So,
while repairing the phase inducers on the Klingon ship, he got hungry, so the
gunner provided him with some Gagh, and Bloodwine. Sergei was famished,
and so, being desperate for food, took a bite (handful) of the Gagh and loved
it. He also like the taste of bloodwine, and drank half a barrel. And, to his
superior officer’s amusement, beamed back to the Louisiana a little "tipsy"
and about to fall over.
Sergei also met Ensign Delpha Tiou on the Louisiana, they both hit it off
real well, and started "dating". When his training cruise was over, he had to
say goodbye to Ensign Tiou, but he promised to keep in touch.
Ensign, Assistant to the Chief Engineer - USS Lakota (2374)
NOTES:
The USS Lakota was Sergei’s first "real" assignment as a Starfleet officer.
He was the Assistant to the CENG, again, but he had no problem with that.
So, he stuck with his job, and performed his job well. He became good friends
with the crew, and was among the few ensigns who were "allowed" to play in
the weekly senior staff poker game. So, for about a year, he stayed on the
Dakota, learning, and have a semi-decent time. Plus, he was commendated
for an act of valor and bravery during a skirmish with a Klingon Vor’Cha
Class Cruiser.
Although the Lakota came out of the battle in one piece, the Vor’Cha Class
Cruiser did not fair as well. So, because of his familiarity of the Klingon
culture he was chosen to lead the away team to offer assistance.
When he beamed over, he found that all the warriors on the cruiser were
either dead or injured. So, he beamed the Klingons to the Lakota’s Sickbay,
while he, and the rest of the Engineering Detail, repaired the ship. They
succeeded in repairing the vessel, the name was found out to be "Iron Talon"
in English, and beamed the Klingons to the Iron Talon when they were well
enough to operate the vessel. Sergei did not know this at the time, but he
had
taken part of an incident which would strengthen Klingon/Federation ties for
years.
Ensign, Assistant to the Chief Engineer - USS Bozeman-A (2375-76)
NOTES:
Onboard the USS Bozeman, Sergei was, again, the assistant to the CENG. This
did not bother him, the CENG did. Sergei found her hard to work with, not
because of her attitude, but because of her species. She was a Vulcan.
He learned to work with Lt. Ta’leh (CENG), and also learned how to stay in
her "good graces". So, when she died in the second Borg incursion, he was
somewhat saddened.
After her death, Sergei had to deal with being the Chief Engineer at the
rank of Ensign. Not that there was much work to be done, after the Borg were
defeated, the Bozeman was ordered back to Spacedock to undergo repairs on her
hull.
Sergei soon found himself the Chief Engineer on a docked ship, with only
repair work to be done. He saw the work to be done tedious and tiresome, so
he requested a transfer. The transfer came through and he was transfered to
the USS Revolution on stardate: 9806.01

NOTES:
Was being tranfered to the USS Victourious when his runabout encountered
some sort of spacial anamoly, Sergei was knocked unconcious before he could
register any of his sensor readings. He was knocked out for at least a day,
when he felt jolted. He quickly awoke, and found himself being attacked by
several ships of unknown design.
He hailed the vessels, and when he did not receive a response, he ran.
When the ships did not follow, he decided to head towards Vulcan, because his
runabout was severly damaged and the nearest Federation ship yard was on
Vulcan.
When he arrived at Vulcan, later that day, he found out that he was in an
alternate universe, a universe quite different from his own. A universe where
Humans were public enemy number one. When he arrived at Vulcan, he had
learned of a starship that was also stranded here from another universe. So,
he opted to stay on Vulcan and learn everything he could about the ship
stranded. Now that the Kemo Sabay has arrived at Vulcan, Sergei had asked the
Captain if he would be allowed to join the crew.

We have successfully retrieved L Cdr., JP, from Vulcan, alldough he seems to
be in good physical condition, I am concerned about his mental state, I have
asked him to report to SB for some tests but I have been unsuccessful. I have
reported my concerns to the Capt. recommending that she order jack into SB at

Ens. Sergei and I were ordered to look for L. Cdr., JP, whom to my surprise
was not acknowledging the capt's orders to report to SB, I prompted the ships
computer to give me his exact location and the reply was "the Lab ," although
for some reason, perhaps because I had seen and assessed him minutes before I
suspected he would not be there.
As Ens Sergei and I approached the Lab, entered, we were not too surprised to
see that Jack was not there, and not only that but that his state of mind was
set to deceive us by leaving his com badge on his desk. At this time Ens.
Sergei was summoned to the cargo bay where the computer had detected an
unauthorized transport to Vulcan, we then parted ways due to an emergency
medical transport I had to take care off.
As I barged in SB, I noticed Marcus had placed the patients on Bio beds and
had activated the E. L. S. S. he turned to me with a look of relief as I
entered the room, he then left to carry on with his orders.
I immediately started to scan the "beings" and found that their organic
composition was rather unique and was found in our M. Database, I proceeded
to take blood and tissue samples to run them through the universal M.
Database when the Capt arrived at SB concerned about the origin and status of
our patients and recommended me to run the samples through the Vulcan M.
Database, which I immediately did and came across With very interesting data,
I wasabout to report my finding to the capt. when I heard her ordering Ens.
Sergei to beam up with L Cdr., JP, directly to sick bay and seconds later
watched as they materialized right in front of my desk. I prepared the Hypo
with a mild tranquilizer as fast as I could, because somehow I had a hunch
that Jack was not about to take it mildly, and I was right he just waved at
me and left the room ignoring the Capts orders to remain, and headed off down
thehall towards the Lab. I immediately pursued him Hypo in hand, but this
only caused him to start running, Ens Sergei pursued him as well phaser in
hand set on stun, I did manage to catch up with him, but never got him to
stop until I saw him drop, flat on his face under the effects of the phaser
stun "prescribed" by Ens. Sergei.
We both then carried him into SB, and placed him on a bio bed, and as I
looked at him unconscious, couldn't but wonder what inner drive had taken
over him that provoked this fascination over these beings he had interacted
with in Vulcan, I shall study the data extensively, to try and figure out how
these "Vulcans"no longer beings, thanks to the information on the dBASE,
became or have been or were so different organically as to the present
populationof Vulcan.

FAMILY HISTORY
Kayla was born to a Klingon mother and a Human father. She has no other
brothers or sisters. Her father Richard Peters is an ambassador for
Starfleet. When she was born she looked more human than Klingon (taking
after her father more than her mother). Her hair was as red as fire. Kayla
punched and kicked her mother during the entire delivery so her mother named
he Ro'Suv (Which means Fist fight). Her father thought that
Kayla looked too kind and gentle to be called fist fight so he named her
Kayla. Little did he know how she would be as she grew up. She prefers to
be called Kayla over Ro'Suv now.
Kayla tried to hide the fact that she was Klingon for most of her life. Her
only true Klingon traits are small brow ridges that her longer hair naturally
covers. Her skin coloring, as well as, her green eyes and red hair look more
human. No one usually suspected that she was Klingon until her temper
flared.
Kayla's mother decided to return to the Klingon homeworld when Kayla
refused to follow her mother's traditions and customs. That left Kayla to
travel from world to world with her ambassador father. She never had much
time to get used to any one place.
While serving on the USS Darmok, the first time, Kayla's mother died. Kayla
was very distraught and even more torn over her loyalties and her identity
then ever before. She returned to Qo'nos when she was able to, so that she
could handle the affairs that her mother left behind.
PRE-ACADEMY BACKGROUND (Schooling)
Kayla traveled with her father, who was an ambassador, to many different
planets. She spent most of her childhood, however, on Earth. When she
turned sixteen she attended a private academy for the arts. Strangely enough
Kayla had a love and a passion for music. She thrived to learn all that she
could. She became an accomplished player of the Vulcan harp, the pipe flute,
the Terran piano, and the Terran violin.
After two years of the music academy, some of the students began to
realize that she was indeed half Klingon. They started to taunt her
continuously. Kayla was asked to leave the academy when one day the taunts
of a fellow classmate caused Kayla to fight back with the student, severely
injuring that classmate. Kayla regretted her Klingon half because it played
a part in her losing her dreams.
Kayla still enjoys playing, but she is shy to ever play in front of
anyone because of the criticism and harassment that she has endured.
STARFLEET ACADEMY BACKGROUND
When Kayla was 19 she decided to join Starfleet Academy after hearing
that half breeds were accepted more in Starfleet than they were at other
Academies. She tried to pursue a medical career, but her peers strongly
suggested and urged her to join the security profession. At the beginning of
her second year she switched her course of study to that of security.
During the summer between her third and fourth years at the academy,
Kayla took a few courses on piloting and helm control. She figured that if
she ever had to command an away team that needed to take shuttles, she needed
to be able to pilot one effectively. She completed the course well, much to
the satisfaction of the teacher and her other classmates.
Kayla graduated from the Academy at the age of 25. She finished with
two years of extensive medical training and four years of extremely intense
defensive and offensive studies. She was honored by her peers as an
outstanding student both physically and mentally.
POST ACADEMY BACKGROUND
Qo'nos
After graduating Kayla found out that her mother was ill. She requested
a leave of absence from Starfleet to take care of her mother. Kayla and her
mother healed their differences. Kayla agreed to honor the Klingon
traditions and customs if K'elypa would accept her love for the arts and be
proud of her accomplishments in that area. K'elypa's health improved, but
Kayla remained on the Klingon homeworld for a couple of years after that.
While on the Klingon homeworld Kayla honored her promise to her mother
and went through extensive study of the Klingon culture and all of it's
traditions. She learned how to use that bat'leth and many other weapons as a
second nature. She found that there was a sense of art in fighting as well.
Kayla found a new desire in her to learn all about everything that she had
tried to ignore for most of her life.
Kayla participated or viewed many of the rituals inherent to Klingons.
There are many that she would prefer not to be a part of, but she does honor
those that partake of these time honored rituals.
While her mother was sick, Kayla worked for some of the traders on
Qo'nos as a pilot. They would give her latinum for her services. She used
it to pay for her mother's medications and the doctor's to treat her.
Despite their differences, Kayla has always loved her mother deeply.
USS Olympia
After three years Kayla returned to Starfleet. She knew that now she
was ready to take on the position of security officer. Her first posting was
to the USS Olympia where she served with great distinction. For a while
Kayla was content to show off her Klingon heritage and talk about it freely.
Then a few incidents occurred on the Olympia that made her doubt it again.
She decided that it would be best to hide her heritage again. She
secretly practiced some of the rituals and exercises, but anyone new that she
met then was told that she was Human and human alone.
USS Darmok
Kayla was offered the position of Chief of Security on SD 9608.15. This
was an honor to achieve such a standing with only the rank of Lieutenant
Junior Grade. Kayla readily accepted Captain Tnagra's offer and joined the
crew. Kayla was very happy to be assigned to the USS Darmok. She had heard
nothing but honorable things about it's new Captain. She served there until
9612.13.
Kayla returned as Chief of Security for a short time, after a long time
again on Qo'nos. She served from 9704.25 until 9705.30. Affairs at her
home on Qo'Nos demanded that she return there for a hiatus from Starfleet.
On SD 9710.10, Kayla again returned to the security department on the
Darmok. After several run ins with the new Commanding Officer, then Captain
Ahrele Johannson, Kayla decided that it would be best just to leave and
pursue other avenues on SD 9711.21.
USS Integrity
Having spent 2 years previously with a major in the medical field at
Starfleet Academy, there were only a few additional terms necessary for Kayla
to get her degree in the biomagnetical, xenobiological, telepathic and
telekinetic sciences. When she had finished these terms, Kayla again
requested active duty on a starship. She was assigned to the USS Integrity
under the then new Captain Gorkon. She was posted there around 9811.01, and
helped to
bring in the new USS Integrity - B.
Kayla was posted to the Medical/Science Research position. Security had
always been her field, and she hopes that her new training and knowledge will
be enough to help her succeed on this new vessel.
USS Temperance
After serving on the USS Integrity for several months a promotion of
Lieutenant Commander (SD 9902.01) was offered to Kayla if she would join the
USS Temperance, a deep space research vessel. With reluctance she left the
crew of the Integrity to pursue this opportunity.
Kayla enjoyed her tour of duty on the Temperance. She was able to further
her research work on many species both commonly known and rare. Many of her
works are now on file with Starfleet medical, awaiting approval for their
inclusion in all Starfleet databases. The Temperance crew returned to Sector
001 (Earth) around SD 9908.01 and awaited further orders while they restocked
and resupplied.
USS Kemo Sabay
As the USS Temperance awaited its next deep space mission orders, Kayla was
approached by the admiralty for another position. So on SD 9908.15 she was
promoted to the rank of Commander and sent to search out the USS Kemo Sabay.
She was ordered to the anomaly that the Kemo disappeared into because
Starfleet HQ finally had a device that would be able to track them. It was
their hope that Kayla would find the missing vessel and return to Sector 001
for debriefing.
Kayla, having already known Trista from the Darmok, was looking forward to
seeing her again. Upon arrival Kayla found out the First Officer of the Kemo
Sabay had been attacked with Borg Nannites. She was asked to step into the
role of First Officer for the time being. Although they were not close
friends Kayla hoped that the transition would be easier, during the hard
times that Trista was facing.
PROMOTIONS AND HONORS
While in Starfleet Academy Kayla was awarded the medal of bravery for
saving an ambassador's life. A group of terrorists attacked an assembly that
she was attending. Kayla jumped in front of the ambassador and moved him to
safety, always keeping herself between the terrorists and the ambassador.
Kayla took a phaser blast to the leg when trying to wrestle the phaser away
from one of the terrorists.
SD 9607.21 - Promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade
SD 9608.15 - Transferred from the USS Olympia and given the position of
Chief of Security for the USS Darmok
SD 9609.20 - Promoted to the rank of a full Lieutenant
SD 9610.11 - Awarded the Bronze Star =X= for the efforts and accomplishments
of her Covert Operations team during a mission in the Golos System. The

SD 9610.18 - Awarded the Gold Medallion =$= for excellence in Log Writing.
The award was given to Lieutenant Kayla and Lieutenant Trax.
SD 9610.25 - Awarded the Gamma Cluster #G# by Starfleet for long-term
service to the Federation in the Gamma Quadrant. She was awarded this medal
along with all of her fellow Darmok crew members.
SD 9611.08 - Promoted to the rank of First Lieutenant.
SD 9611.15 - Awarded the Gold medallion =$= for excellence in log writing.
This awarded was shared by Lieutenant Trax and Lieutenant (j.g) K'Vada

PERSONAL NOTES
Kayla is very dedicated to her work. Kayla tries to avoid a fight at
all cost. She does not use force unless necessary. She is always having to
keep her Klingon side under control. There are many times when she fears
that she might not be able to control it, but she endeavors diligently to
keep it under control.
Occasionally Kayla will try to go back to her dreams of being a
musician. She enjoys playing her instruments in the holodecks. She usually
plays alone because she doesn't want to be taunted because of it. She
prefers that no one know about it.
Kayla finds it necessary to let her Klingon side take over completely
every now and then. She has found that it is the only way to help her
control the urges later. She has several holodeck programs that were
designed for her when she was at the Academy. They help her to vent her rage
and anger so that she may keep herself under control when it is necessary.
They have traveled with her from posting to posting and are all contained on
a set
of holodiscs that she keeps in her quarters.
Kayla tried to hide the fact that she is half Klingon in the past. For
a while onboard the Olympia she thought about letting others know about her
Klingon heritage. All this caused her was pain. She decided that it would
be best if no one knew.
While Kayla was in the Gamma Quadrant, during her first term on the
Darmok, she received news that her mother, K'elypa, was dead. She apparently
had passed away due to her recurring illness. Kayla was hurt that her father
had not told her in person, but she knew that she would have left to be with
him if she had found out while she was still in the Alpha Quadrant.
When Kayla returned to the Alpha Quadrant she met with her father
Ambassador Peters. She was informed that she was arranged to be mated with
the Albino Klingon Trax whom she served with on the USS Darmok. Kayla was
enraged at this. (See notes on Xian Trax below)
Kayla's Klingon heritage and senses were brought to the surface by both Xian
Trax and Wa'Chang through separate but intense events. She can no longer
hide her Klingon heritage fully from those around her, and she doesn't really
want to anymore either. She has learned more to accept who she is, and just
be who she is without fear of reprisal.
Kayla tries to mix her human and Klingon heritage as equally as possible
now. She longer allows the fears of scorn to weigh over her heritage. She
is proud of both her mother's and her father's heritage's and tries to pay
tribute to each accordingly.
In general ... Kayla is quite a spit fire when she wants to be. She can be
quite a handful if her temper flares, but she tries not to let that happen.
She's been jilted a couple times, not necessarily on purpose as Trax was
killed, and Wa'Chang disappeared. She is not at all turned off to men. She
is just seeking the right person for her.
FRIENDS, ENEMIES AND OTHER COLLEAGUES
T'Kala
While on the shuttle ride to the Darmok Kayla met T'Kala. Their shuttle
crashed on route and all that were aboard were forced together to take care
of each other. Kayla grew very fond of T'Kala. Kayla admired T'Kala's
spirit, diligence, and intelligence. When going over the crew records, Kayla
found out that T'Kala had an interest in music as well. Kayla has asked
T'Kala to join her on the holodecks to practice together. Kayla is pleased
to have someone that she can share things with. Kayla is glad to have a
friend.
After a disturbing dream concerning her past, Kayla talked to T'Kala
about the dream. T'Kala performed a Vulcan mind meld that helped Kayla deal
with the horrible memory. It also brought Kayla and T'Kala closer together.
Kayla looks to T'Kala as a person that she can share even her deepest fears.
Kayla trusts T'Kala.
Jonathan Yular
In an incident on Deep Space Nine, Kayla required the Assistance of the
then Lieutenant Junior Grade Yular to ward off the advances of a strange
doctor. Kayla grabbed Yular and kissed him until the doctor left the area.
Kayla and Yular, who prefers to be called Jonathan, spent the rest of the
afternoon and evening together getting to know one another.
Lieutenant Jonathan Yular secretly beamed a dozen roses into Kayla's
quarters after the mission to the Breon. He later admitted to this, and
Kayla was flattered. Later on though, they found out that they were best at
being friends over being together otherwise, and he married Katarina Janar,
another of her friends.
Xian Trax
Kayla did seem to have a nemesis onboard the Darmok. His name was Xian
Trax. They hit it off wrong from the word go. Trax kept trying to remind
Kayla that she was Klingon, and she didn't care to be reminded of it. He
stepped on her toes a number of times, but a reconciliation was in sight for
them. Xian was kidnapped by some Ferengi renegades and pumped for
information. Kayla led the team that rescued them. In the rescue Kayla
herself
was injured, and Xian carried her to safety on the Darmok.
Trax and Kayla have worked at settling their differences. They shared a
Klingon Blood Oath that would prevent either of them from lying to each
other. They came to this decision when Trax decided to share some personal
information with Kayla, and when Kayla decided to do the same.
After Kayla found out about the arranged mating with Trax she became
enraged. After Trax returned from the Alternate Universe she confronted him
with it. They discussed the situation, and it appeared that Trax had no
prior knowledge of the arrangement. They both worked hard at trying to
resolve the situation as honor demanded. Kayla had to decide if her family's
honor was a worthy enough reason to mate with Trax. It would have also meant
the full recognition of her Klingon side.
Kayla decided to leave the Darmok for the first time and travel home to
Qo'Nos. Trax soon followed, and after they had reconciled to mate and honor
the agreement, (for they did both have strong positive and passionate
feelings towards each other), Trax was killed on an intelligence mission
that was he was sent on. Now that her Klingon senses were more awakened by
Trax's guidance, and the later guidance of Wa'Chang, she is no longer able to
hide
her heritage fully, nor does she want to.

Unlike most officers of the fleet Alejandro didn't always wish to "boldly
go...". At New Mexico State University he participated in various activities
from Student Ambassador, member of the Pride of New Mexico Marching Band,
SFROTC, terms in the Student Senate and on the Board of Regents. Studying
History of Earth and its Local Group members, Alejandro was getting ready for
what he considered the best service above all. Upon completion of his BA
in History, he was accepted and began seminary school in the nearby town of
El Paso, Texas.
Tepeyac Seminary
Alejandro entered seminary school with faith and devotion born of years of
Roman Catholic customs. Within the normal time Alejandro Francisco Moreno de
Saavedra was ordained into the Priesthood.
Two years after his ordination while he was investigating a reported Miracle
on the moon of Titan a complete change took place. Upon returning home to the
Holy See, Father Alejandro resigned from the church. His mentor Archbishop
Raymundo was confused and slightly saddened. He did not know why his greatest
student and bestfriend had decided to leave. He knew that all men have a path
that the Holy Father wish each man to walk and said her farewells to
his friend.
Having completed his time in the SFROTC program at NMSU Alejandro went active
and attended SF Academy.
ACADEMY
The speed at which Alejandro took on his classes and classwork was amazing,
he furthered his knowledge in science, and Engineering. Having a commission
already Ensign Moreno worked with SF historians and with SF Communications.
Upon completing his work Ensign Moreno was assigned to the Science Team at
the Guardian Installation on Forever World.
ASSIGNMENTS
Ensign Moreno was assigned to the Guardian Installation to observe, analyze
and record the images that the Guardian of Forever displayed. >Further

GENESIS
Phobos Tiernan was born to Phobos Jahreil, a Bajoran intendant, and Jessica
Miller, his personal Terran slave, in 2352 on Terok Nor, the
Klingon-Cardassian Alliance mining station, in the Mirror Universe. Jahreil
was in charge of the station at the time, as appointed by the Alliance.
Jessica was one of his many Terran slaves, as in this universe, the Terran
population had been conquered and oppressed by the Klingon-Cardassian
Alliance, of which
the Bajorans were a member. While his father instructed him in the ways of
the Alliance, his mother secretly always told him that Terrans were lifeforms
that should be treated the same way as any other lifeform. Thus, when it
came to treating any Terran slaves under his command, he tried his best to be
kind to them. Jessica also secretly gave his son the name 'Azrael', an old
Earth name literally meaning 'God is my aid'. Although he went by
Phobos Tiernan most of the time, he also responded to Azrael.
As time drew on, however, Tiernan became more and more distant with Jahreil.
This was caused by Jahreil's increased savagery towards his Terran slaves.
Jahreil and "family" were transferred to New Zealand on Earth to head up a
labor camp there in 2360. However, not even two years into this assignment,
Jahreil was responsible for the murder of some 3000 Terran slaves under his
jurisdiction. This didn't sit well with Tiernan at all, but he said
nothing.
EXODUS
The Terran Rebellion began in 2370, spearheaded by Benjamin Sisko and Miles
"Smiley" O'Brien. Jahreil had decided to use this opportunity to get rid of
Jessica, as she had become a bigger and bigger thorn in his side. While
Tiernan was away receiving advanced flight training to join the Alliance
Fleet, Jahreil killed Jessica and blamed her death on a Terran insurgence.
However, Tiernan learned the truth, ran away from home, and joined the Terran
Rebellion. Tiernan wasn't trusted at first, given who his father was and
that he was half-Bajoran. However, he quickly earned their trust when he
saved O'Brien's life. Tiernan was one of the rebellion's best pilots, and
performed many dangerous missions for them. During his tenure with the
rebellion, he got the chance to pilot many ships, including, but not limited
to, Terran cruisers and frigates, Klingon Birds-of-Prey, Cardassian warships,
and
the rebellion's replica of the U.S.S. Defiant. Tiernan was also instrumental
in the Terran takeover of Terok Nor.
During one particular mission in mid-2371, Tiernan's ship was attacked by
Alliance forces in the Denorios Belt. The ship's entire crew was killed,
except for Tiernan. The cargo that his ship was delivering to Terok Nor was
a transdimensional transporter. Since the Alliance forces were not going to
be taking prisoners, he used the transporter and hoped for the best. He
materialized on Starbase Deep Space Nine in this universe, but the
transdimensional transporter was destroyed in the process.
A STARFLEET ODYSSEY
Tiernan changed his name to Azrael Tiernan Phobos upon his arrival in this
universe. This more human-sounding name was chosen to reflect his new life
in this universe.
Starfleet Command initially didn't know what to do with Azrael. No
precedent had yet been set regarding refugees from alternate universes. This
was further complicated by Azrael's desire to apply to Starfleet Academy.
Eventually, the decision was made to allow Azrael to stay in the Federation,
and to admit him to the Academy. During Azrael's four years at the Academy,
he earned honors for his work in warp field propulsion. He also became a
member of the elite Team Challenger, a squad of cadet pilots handpicked to
perform secretive missions. Graduating in the top ten percent of his class,
his first assignment was to the engine room of the U.S.S. Kemo Sabay.
Eventually, he earned a transfer to the helm, despite the Kemo Sabay's
predicament of being lost and being far from the Federation and the Alpha
Quadrant. He is rated a level 7 pilot according to Starfleet
specifications.

attacked bye a cardassian 2 cruisers....they disabled their shield and took
him along with many others prisoner.

Hobbies: Looking for ways to escape the Cardassian POW camp.
Bio: It was to be the finest day of his life and starting career. Onboard
runabout being transported to Starbase 15 where he would receive his first
orders and would find out where his first posting was to be. There were
supposed to be many ships among the fleet at the starbase. The Enterprise
E.....A newly built Prometheus Class ship and many others. That was not to
be..... about 5 hour into the trip the runabout was ambushed bye two
cardassian
cruisers. They easily disabled the runabout...with lowered shields one of the
cruisers transported what ever live officers left on board in a holding cell
and destroyed the runabout. They were soon transported to some Cardassian POW
camp where he has been ever since. There were times when he thought he would
never escape this camp. Every day a struggle..sometimes hard just to get
food. It's been 3 years since that fateful day. Eric Strykes has
survived..he has also aged. Now at the age of 25 more and more he hopes to
get out of the POW camp and go home...or back to Starfleet...one or the
other...at this point he just wants out.

History:
Aziza is the only child of her parents. She was born out of a complete
passion between her parents. Their love was so complete and well thought of
in her tribe. Her Father was one of the influential members of the
tribe.Her mother a Starfleet officer. They had met while her mother was on a
leave on Earth. It was love at first sight. But unfortunately Aziza 's
mother died in childbirth due to the gross negligence of a doctor who was a
sworn
unknown enemy of her Father. Her Father was heartbroken. When they first
put Aziza into his arms, he wept and always said that she would be known as
his Beloved Angel. Thus that is the translation of her name Aziza - Beloved
Uriel - Angel.
Her Father raised Aziza as best as he could. She wanted for nothing. Aziza
was put in the very best schools and was protected from a lot of things as
she grew up. Once she had graduated, she had to make the decision of what to
do. Aziza knew the past of how her Mother had died, because of this, she
wanted to right the wrongs that this man had done. To do this she would
become a Doctor.
She graduated from the best school of Medicine that money could buy. She was
on her way to her graduation ceremony with her Father, the pair were
discussing her future and where she would be setting up her practice. It was
a most joyful day, until their transport was ambushed by the followers of the
same doctor that killed her mother. Her Father was taken, Aziza was injured
and left for dead. Till this day she has a scar that looks like a half
moon on her forehead. She would have died if it wasn't for another off duty
Starfleet officer who stumbled upon the scene shortly after her Father was
taken. He managed to get her to help. Up to the present, Aziza has never
found out the identity of this rescuer. Nor has she ever seen her father. It
was never known where he was taken, or if he is dead or alive.
Aziza could na stay on Earth. The memories were too fresh and she needed to
get away. Because of who her rescuer was, she decided to enlist in
Starfleet. She was placed on board one of the ships as a assistant only.
Since she hadn't attended Starfleet academy, she was not allowed a rank.
Sahe continued to work under the current CMO and studied in what little free
time she was given. She finally passed and was given the title of Cadet. She
returned to Earth for a short time to take her final exams at Starfleet. She
graduated with honors.

Aziza is a charming young lady. She has been an asset to our program.
Considering her past without a mother, she has done well. She had a caring
attitude. But since the attack, her edge is sharper. She does care but she
also doesn't. She took the disappearance of her Father hard. I do not think
it will interfere at all with performance on the ship she is placed. I feel
the ship will benefit from her experience and her wit.
Interest:
Aziza had many interests when she was younger. Including Music and drawing.
She has used these to help her over the difficult times in her life. She
still keeps her instruments with her as well as her drawing supplies. They
are kept in a special wooden trunk that her father had made for her when she
turned 16.

Pre-Academy History
Jessica's parents were weather technicians, being responsible for monitoring
the weather patterns over the area of North America once called the Great
Plains. Their primary duties were early detection and dissipation of
potentially damaging tornados and other severe weather occurences.
Jessica found it a rather stifling upbringing, as her parents were always
working and completely dedicated to their job. Being secluded in the midst
of cornfields was not as exciting of a childhood as she wanted. She and her
brother sought to develop interests away from their parents and consequently
found themselves dreaming of Starfleet careers at an early age. When she was
old enough, Jessica applied to the Academy, despite the objections of
her family. Three years later, her brother also entered the Academy.
Starfleet History
Jessica majored in SpaceShip Tactics, with a minor in Interplanetary
Relations. She graduated in the middle of her class (having spent a little
too much time in outside "recreational" pursuits rather than studying), and
was posted to the USS Sydney as a tactical assistant. She spent two years in
that assignment before receiving a promotion to Ltjg and a transfer to the
USS Washington, a deep exploration vessel that participated in several first
contacts. Jessica played a major role in several of these meetings as a
liason officer and special assistant to the Captain. She received a
promotion to full Lt. during her posting there.
At the beginning of the Dominion War, the Washington was called back to
Starfleet HQ to have the ship refitted and the crew reassigned to fill losses
on other vessels. Jessica was assigned to the USS Pulaski and was a part of
several battles with Cardassian warships. She received a battlefield
promotion to Lt Commander during one such battle when the Tactical Chief was
killed. For the next 3 months, Jessica served admirably in that position
until
the final battle when the Pulaski was severely damaged by several Jem Hadar
warships. Jessica received a medal of valor for bravery exhibited during an
incident when the bridge was overwhelmed by Jem Hadar soldiers. They were
attempting to take over the bridge in an effort to use the ship as a weapon
against other Starfleet vessels. In the process of initiating an explosion
that killed several Jem Hadar, Jessica was severely injured.
Jessica's injuries were severe enough that the doctors of DS9 immeadiately
transferred her to Starfleet Medical on Earth. She had suffering several
potentially life-threatening injuries to her spinal cord, brain, heart, and
liver. To save her life, the doctors eventually replaced her heart and liver
with artificial implants and placed her in a special stasis chamber designed
to regenerate neural tissue. After two months in stasis, Jessica's body
had healed enough for her to begin rehabilitation at the Starfleet facility
on Honolulu.
Jessica spent 5 months regaining her strength and healing her body. Upon
being declared fit for active duty, Jessica was reassigned to Starfleet
Headquarters where she joined the Pathfinder project as an analyst. Her job
was to begin classification and cataloging the extensive information on the
Delta Quadrant that the USS Voyager was sending Starfleet. She was
particularly interested in this project as her brother had gone missing along
with the
rest of Voyager after their initial mission into the Badlands. Three months
before Voyager's sudden return to the alpha quadrant Jessica was informed of
her brother's death in the line of duty.
After spending two years on the project, Jessica requested a field assignment
and was given a promotion to the rank of Commander at the same time she was
posted to the USS Kemo Sabay.
