Family Backround:
Shard Renn was born in Beijing, China on Earth, to Thomas Renn, a
Federation Marine Colonel, and Hso Lai Xiang, a city administrator. He was
raised an only child. His father pushed him hard, teaching him Martial Arts
and tactics, while his mother taught him philosophy. He was always social,
and was popular with the girls for his handsome looks, but never really hit
it off with any of them. Shard was
always more interested in looking towards the stars...

It was no surprise when he made it into the Academy, but to his
father's dismay, Shard found himself drawn into the Science department, even
though he scored well in Tactical and Security areas. Upon graduation from
the Academy, he joined the Hermes Crew aboard the USS Nightingale just after
the destruction of the first Hermes.

The crew surprized him, and threw everything he had learned in the
Academy about starship crewing right out the window. The zany but wonderful
crew helped him adjust to life in space easily, especially Renada Jaxa and
Jesa Jean Andrews. Renada was a fun loving trill who struck a chord in
Shard's soul, before she was taken cruelly from this life. Jessa was Shard's
first real love, and she still holds a piece of his heart.

He was transfered to the newly commissioned USS Hermes after coming back
from an extended Leave of Absense in which he attended his mother's funeral
and helped his father get the family affairs in order. After being wounded
during an attempted hijacking of the new Hermes, he was possessed by an alien
enity that had lain dormant in his cerebrum for several months. The
extrication of that entity has left him with a
sodium injection implant and extremely heightened reflexes (apx 3x normal
reflex speed) and lightning mental thought processes, though his IQ seems to
have remained the same for the time being.

Background

The only child of a human mother, who died when Lee was 10, and a Trill
father, who died when Lee was 16. Her father was a dignitary who met her
mother off world. They decided that the Trill homeworld offered a more
stable environment to raise a child than Earth did, and so there she grew up
leading a very sheltered life. The death of her parents shook her deeply.
She fought very hard to become joined. Had it not been for her father's
dying wish, as well as his stature on Trill, she would have been refused.
Disapointed in the beaurocracy of her home, she sought to learn about other
worlds and cultures, not just in books.
Lee is now the mother of a pair of twins: Jason Simon and Ariella
Argenteena. She and Jason are up to a huge challenge these two little
angels.

Starfleet Academy

She applied to Starfleet Academy as soon as she was joined, and was
accepted. She majored in medicine, with extensive courses in sociology. She
minored in Art, because her mother had been an artist. There Lee discovered
the family trait had been passed to her as well.
While she was there, she looked up some old records and discovered her
cousin, William Blake was attending the Academy as well. She looked him up
and since then, they have become very close.

Interests

Lee's favorite pasttime is swimming and the ancient art of Tae Kwon Do.
She loves being outdoors, but is willing to settle for a holodeck. Her
favorite place to swim is in natural water, such as a river, or ocean. Her
only drawback is that she is afraid of snakes. Actually, Grant is, and Lee
has not yet learned to control her symbiont's terror in this matter. Even
after her recent encounter with a deadly snake, she still fears them.

Symbiont History

Grant's first was a pilot, a woman named Jacyntha who lived until the
age of 43, a life cut short by a shuttle crash. She managed to survive
several hours until resuce teams arrived in time to only save the symbiont.
Luke Tearin, Jacyntha's best friend, joined with Grant to return the symbiont
safely to Trill.
The second host, a man named Korth, had been a writer and a single
father of two. At 37, he died from the bite of a poisonous snake. He and
his children died on that campout. Lee discovered after horrible nightmares
and extensive research, that Korth's brother Gareth planted the snake to
murder Korth and steal the symbiont. Gareth has since passed away.
Lee is Grant's third official host.

Her Life

Lee's decision to take up medicine was the thought that these lives
could have been spared if medical attention had been readily available. She
hopes she can save someone the agony of experiencing what Jacyntha and Korth
has. This is her reason for joining Starfleet.

Life on the Hermes though rough at times was more than Lee ever expected
from Starfleet. She has pledged her loyalty to the crew, both as a friend
and as captain.

Simon Glenborne is the son of Eileen and Kiddrane Glenborne.
Kiddrane was a noted engineer and scientific theorist working for the United
Federation of Planets. He was very intellegent and highly useful until his
tragic death in the shuttle accident. Eileen Glenborne was a psychologist at
the Earth/Luna Laboratory. Her work included researching abnormalities in
space
sicknesses derived from long term exposure to outerspace phenomena and
travelings. She resigned five years ago. She resides in Montana, Earth. The
Glenborne's had one other son, Richard two years before Simon was born
(Stardate: 7921.4). Richard was a Starfleet Academy drop out and remains a
notorious smuggler and Maquis sympathizer. Simon was born two years
(Stardate: 8119.12) later and six years after that was forever crippled in
the shuttle
accident. The Glenborne's also had a dog named Surak.

The Shuttle Accident:

When Simon was 6 years old, he and his parents were on a
shuttlecraft orbiting Saturn when a Cardassian freighter misread their sensor
readouts and attacked the Glenborne vessel. The Mars defense perimeter (never
noticing the Cardassians had passed into the Sol system due to a downed
sensor relay) was not able to act in time. The shuttle lost all power and
floated dead in space. Kiddrane had managed to transport Eileen to the USS
McKinley's Storm (which was on the other side of Saturn) during the attack to
keep her safe. The McKinley's Storm fought off the Cardassians and attempted
to save the inhabitants of the damaged shuttle before it was too late. The
oxygen on the craft had been depleted and Simon had lost 50% of his brain
activity. Kiddrane was badly injured due to the attack and lived three short
days after rescue. His dying wish was to try his cybernetic theorys on
his dying son in hopes that the mingling on man and machine would create a
threshold of medical technology that was never thought possible. Simon's life
would be preserved in a partially mechanical body. After Kiddrane's death,
the cybernetics team on Xzndor II began preperations for Simon Glenborne's
transformation and one year later, he was placed in a stable artificial
shell. Glenborne has lived 20 years with this ailment but now uses it as a
strength instead of a weakness. Prof.Hector Rodriguez took charge of
Kiddrane's ideas and became a close friend and advisor to Simon until his
death two years ago.

ANDROID PROBLEM:

Simon Glenborne is two distinct individuals. An emotional,
thoughtful, sensitive human and a logical, thought indulging, curious
android. The positronic networking fused to human tissue to preserve his
life. The only way to keep the constant mechanical power balanced with the
hard-working human cells is to take a drug equalizes all effects in him. The
syrum known as serilium must be administered once a month or a
sever breakdown can occur leading to the death of the more complex- human
side. Glenborne's body is capable of holding surplus serilium and
administering it in necessary amounts in case of dire emergency.
The two sides of his personality are controlled by perseverance,
concentration and will power. Simon Glenborne also has the capability of
venting all of his emotions through his body in a very intense way. This
procedure results in the surfacing of an alter ego which hides inside of him-
the more primitive evil human side. The first occurence of this was during
his second year at Starfleet Academy. The human side tried to over power the
mechanical
side in a violent destructive way. Starfleet Psychology refer to this
opposite side as "Steven"- in order to distinguish the two. He can be
controlled by Simon but recent events have taught us that this malevolent
being can take over when it wants.
* Steven was responsible for taking Simon on a very long LOA recently.
The repercussions of what he did during that time has not surfaced but is
definetly of concern to Starfleet.

SIMON'S SON:

On Stardate: 9701.10, Simon learned he had a son. Apparently years
earlier, his Betazoid therapist, Haze Rekka had stolen DNA from Glenborne and
impregnated herself (this plot was made long before Chakotay folks-
nanananana...) His son, Stephen was being held by Rekka as a hostage so that
Simon would give up Starfleet and go to her forever. Rekka had tried on many
occasions to telepathically attach herself to Glenborne. Her strong empathic
abilities were shunned by Simon's mechanical side and she eventually went
insane. Her Ferengi counterpart, Relak was also involved in the hostage
situation but was later killed by Rekka.
After mounting a rescue with Stephanie Pike to retake his son, Simon
brought the boy back to the ship in an attempt to raise him properly.
Stephanie Pike assumed title of surrogate mother. Sabrina DuCant and Jason
Storm were listed as GodParents and Dr.Teena and Leetanzia Grant were named
legal guardians of the child. If anything happened to Simon, the
responsibility fell to these people. In 9710.12, Stephen was kidnapped again
by Haze Rekka and
the USS Hermes went on a mission bring him home. Glenborne and Pike
infiltrated a Maquis starship which was run by Simon's brother in order to
save Stephen. Apparently Haze had told Richard Glenborne that the child was
his to gain favor with the Maquis so she would have some protection in saving
Stephen. Simon found his son and transported him back to the Hermes, during
this,Rekka found the android and redirected the boy into outerspace- never to
be
seen again. She rationalized this by saying,"He is either mine or no one's!"
Rekka and Stephen Glenborne are both presumed dead.

OUTERSPACE EXPEIRIENCE:

The USS Hermes is the second ship that Glenborne has served on. His first
space assignment was to the USS Colombia for six months working as a junior
science officer and helmsman. He transferred to the Hermes on SD: 9606.1.

STARFLEET EXPEIRIENCE:

Simon Glenborne attended the Academy for four years from the age of 18 to
21. He graduated in the top percentile of his class and was the first cadet
to receive a posting after graduation. In 9414.12, Simon took a position as a
holographic design specialist on Borpallet. For a year he served on the
station but with no promotion or fulfillment. He wanted to be spacebound. In
9601.12, Simon took a position on the USS Colombia as helmsman and junior
science officer. For six months he served under Captain LePetri until his
request for a transfer. He beleived the crew showed him no respect and he
required relocation.
9606.1- He was moved to the USS Hermes under Captain Richard Semino as a
science officer. He has remained there for two years- satisfied with the crew
and happy with his position.

ABILITIES and SKILLS:

Simon is half man- half machine. This gives him a great amount of
advantages on a starship. He requires minimal sleep and is able to perform
many tasks at once. He was commended for his combination of the helm and
sciences console design when he performed both duties in late 9608.
He has improved sensor efficiency, console readout, holodeck imagery,
computer core acuity, console response time and long range readings. His one
flaw would be keeping a shuttle in one peice. Simon is an expert pilot but
just does not have the luck for flying. Captain Morris of the USS Tristan
requested Glenborne as the helmsman of their vessel but Simon was already the
Cheif of Sciences on the Hermes at the time and declined. He has a more
powerful strength and a faster working brain than regular men. He not only
checks all of his readings but mostly triple checks.

Medical Health:

Ephiny Tyris is in perfect medical health and is physically fit as per
Starfleet regs. However, doctors are unsure about her mental health.
Elerians, as a species, are extremely strong telepaths. They're known to
have conquered other less civilized species by forcing their wills onto
others. Tyris, having taking an oath to the Federation, swears never having
done this. However, she is to be arrested at the first sign of trouble.

Psychological Evaluation:

Since there is little to none information on the Elerians' psychology, an
accurate evaluation of Tyris cannot be done. But, counselors have noticed
that Tyris has a strong attitude about men being inferior because of her
social upbringing. This makes it notably harder for her to work in a team.

Background Information:

Ephiny Tyris is part of the warrior caste of Elerian society. Most of the
members of her family are deceased, including her father. Her mother, Lady
Kyren, currently owns and rules the J'ho Territories of the Elerian Empire.
Ephiny's brother, Tiren, is a priest of the Temple of Raharr on Eleria.
She applied to the Institute because as part of the warrior caste on Eleria,
she was expected to fight, conquer, and rule over a territory. And that, she
did not want to do. So Tyris applied for and graduated Starfleet Institute,
a 2 year prep for the Academy. Immediately afterwards, she entered Starfleet
Academy. After, the entire Loaded Dice Squadron was assigned to Special
Operations. However, due to certain conflicts of interests, the
Loaded Dice Squadron was released from this obligation and sent onboard the
USS Achilles. But unfortunately, the Achilles was decommissioned a month
later and Tyris was sent to Starfleet HQ for Advance Tactical training until
Stardate 9807.10. After participating in Starfleet's Advanced Medical Field
Training, Tyris was then posted onboard the USS Hermes as a Medical Officer.
Currently, Ephiny Tyris is the only full-blood Elerian serving in
Starfleet.

About the Elerians:

Elerians have elven-like features and a life span of about 300 years. Their
complexion and eye color ranges from the palest gray-blues to the deepest
amethysts. Their hair color, however, can range from a midnight black to a
luscious coffee brown. Elerians occupy the entire Draconis Sector.
The Elerians are a race of reversed gender roles. The highly matriarchal
civilization has allowed the females of the population to be the aggressors
while the males are the suppressed. The intense training of the Elerian
troops has granted them an impressive offense and defense force. While the
females are out fighting, the male section of the populace has refined the
mental powers to the point of offensive telepathy. This allows the Elerians
to
mentally breakdown a population to allow for a bloodless invasion. The
current government of the Elerians is feudal.
Their society is divided into castes, in which the members of the warrior
caste are the only ones allowed to hold political office. Members of the
warrior caste are also the only ones ever seen by outsiders. Besides this,
not much is known about the Elerian caste system.
The Draconis System, where their home planet Eleria is, sits on the
outreaches of the Alpha Quadrant on the left side of the galaxy. They have
little contact with any important empires and are not members of the
Federation. The Elerian Empire prefers neutrality in any conflict, although
are quick and fearless to defend their borders.
For example, a decade ago, the Federation accidentally placed one of their
border buoys behind the Elerian border. Outraged, a small band Elerian ships
reigned heavy damaged on a nearby Federation colony and held it for 2 months.
Not even a fleet of the same number of vessels could get the Elerians to
release the colony. Finally, the Federation sent an extremely long letter of
apology with a few tributes to satisfy Elerian honor. Since
then, relations between the Elerians and Federation have bettered, but not by
much.

the Earth/Luna Laboratory. Her work included researching abnormalities in
space
sicknesses derived from long term exposure to outerspace phenomena and
travelings. She resigned five years ago. She resides in Montana, Earth. The
Glenborne's had one other son, Richard two years before Simon was born
(Stardate: 7921.4). Richard was a Starfleet Academy drop out and remains a
notorious smuggler and Maquis sympathizer. Simon was born two years
(Stardate: 8119.12) later and six years after that was forever crippled in
the shuttle
accident. The Glenborne's also had a dog named Surak.

The Shuttle Accident:

When Simon was 6 years old, he and his parents were on a
shuttlecraft orbiting Saturn when a Cardassian freighter misread their sensor
readouts and attacked the Glenborne vessel. The Mars defense perimeter (never
noticing the Cardassians had passed into the Sol system due to a downed
sensor relay) was not able to act in time. The shuttle lost all power and
floated dead in space. Kiddrane had managed to transport Eileen to the USS
McKinley's Storm (which was on the other side of Saturn) during the attack to
keep her safe. The McKinley's Storm fought off the Cardassians and attempted
to save the inhabitants of the damaged shuttle before it was too late. The
oxygen on the craft had been depleted and Simon had lost 50% of his brain
activity. Kiddrane was badly injured due to the attack and lived three short
days after rescue. His dying wish was to try his cybernetic theorys on
his dying son in hopes that the mingling on man and machine would create a
threshold of medical technology that was never thought possible. Simon's life
would be preserved in a partially mechanical body. After Kiddrane's death,
the cybernetics team on Xzndor II began preperations for Simon Glenborne's
transformation and one year later, he was placed in a stable artificial
shell. Glenborne has lived 20 years with this ailment but now uses it as a
strength instead of a weakness. Prof.Hector Rodriguez took charge of
Kiddrane's ideas and became a close friend and advisor to Simon until his
death two years ago.

ANDROID PROBLEM:

Simon Glenborne is two distinct individuals. An emotional,
thoughtful, sensitive human and a logical, thought indulging, curious
android. The positronic networking fused to human tissue to preserve his
life. The only way to keep the constant mechanical power balanced with the
hard-working human cells is to take a drug equalizes all effects in him. The
syrum known as serilium must be administered once a month or a
sever breakdown can occur leading to the death of the more complex- human
side. Glenborne's body is capable of holding surplus serilium and
administering it in necessary amounts in case of dire emergency.
The two sides of his personality are controlled by perseverance,
concentration and will power. Simon Glenborne also has the capability of
venting all of his emotions through his body in a very intense way. This
procedure results in the surfacing of an alter ego which hides inside of him-
the more primitive evil human side. The first occurence of this was during
his second year at Starfleet Academy. The human side tried to over power the
mechanical
side in a violent destructive way. Starfleet Psychology refer to this
opposite side as "Steven"- in order to distinguish the two. He can be
controlled by Simon but recent events have taught us that this malevolent
being can take over when it wants.
* Steven was responsible for taking Simon on a very long LOA recently.
The repercussions of what he did during that time has not surfaced but is
definetly of concern to Starfleet.

SIMON'S SON:

On Stardate: 9701.10, Simon learned he had a son. Apparently years
earlier, his Betazoid therapist, Haze Rekka had stolen DNA from Glenborne and
impregnated herself (this plot was made long before Chakotay folks-
nanananana...) His son, Stephen was being held by Rekka as a hostage so that
Simon would give up Starfleet and go to her forever. Rekka had tried on many
occasions to telepathically attach herself to Glenborne. Her strong empathic
abilities were shunned by Simon's mechanical side and she eventually went
insane. Her Ferengi counterpart, Relak was also involved in the hostage
situation but was later killed by Rekka.
After mounting a rescue with Stephanie Pike to retake his son, Simon
brought the boy back to the ship in an attempt to raise him properly.
Stephanie Pike assumed title of surrogate mother. Sabrina DuCant and Jason
Storm were listed as GodParents and Dr.Teena and Leetanzia Grant were named
legal guardians of the child. If anything happened to Simon, the
responsibility fell to these people. In 9710.12, Stephen was kidnapped again
by Haze Rekka and
the USS Hermes went on a mission bring him home. Glenborne and Pike
infiltrated a Maquis starship which was run by Simon's brother in order to
save Stephen. Apparently Haze had told Richard Glenborne that the child was
his to gain favor with the Maquis so she would have some protection in saving
Stephen. Simon found his son and transported him back to the Hermes, during
this,Rekka found the android and redirected the boy into outerspace- never to
be
seen again. She rationalized this by saying,"He is either mine or no one's!"
Rekka and Stephen Glenborne are both presumed dead.

OUTERSPACE EXPEIRIENCE:

The USS Hermes is the second ship that Glenborne has served on. His first
space assignment was to the USS Colombia for six months working as a junior
science officer and helmsman. He transferred to the Hermes on SD: 9606.1.

STARFLEET EXPEIRIENCE:

Simon Glenborne attended the Academy for four years from the age of 18 to
21. He graduated in the top percentile of his class and was the first cadet
to receive a posting after graduation. In 9414.12, Simon took a position as a
holographic design specialist on Borpallet. For a year he served on the
station but with no promotion or fulfillment. He wanted to be spacebound. In
9601.12, Simon took a position on the USS Colombia as helmsman and junior
science officer. For six months he served under Captain LePetri until his
request for a transfer. He beleived the crew showed him no respect and he
required relocation.
9606.1- He was moved to the USS Hermes under Captain Richard Semino as a
science officer. He has remained there for two years- satisfied with the crew
and happy with his position.

ABILITIES and SKILLS:

Simon is half man- half machine. This gives him a great amount of
advantages on a starship. He requires minimal sleep and is able to perform
many tasks at once. He was commended for his combination of the helm and
sciences console design when he performed both duties in late 9608.
He has improved sensor efficiency, console readout, holodeck imagery,
computer core acuity, console response time and long range readings. His one
flaw would be keeping a shuttle in one peice. Simon is an expert pilot but
just does not have the luck for flying. Captain Morris of the USS Tristan
requested Glenborne as the helmsman of their vessel but Simon was already the
Cheif of Sciences on the Hermes at the time and declined. He has a more
powerful strength and a faster working brain than regular men. He not only
checks all of his readings but mostly triple checks.

Chris Salinger entered Starfleet Academy after his brother joined. While at
the academy, Salinger struggled to get noticed, and to move forward in

Personal History:
Aido Rixx was born on Bolarus IX, but grew up on one of the planet's
moons. From age 2 and on (Bolians age twice as slow as humans), Aido and his
family lived on various starships due to his father's career. While his older
brother, Kiido, longed to be like their father and pursue a Starfleet career,
Aido expressed interests in science and archaeology (as did his mother). He
and his younger brother, Telor, moved back to Bolarus IX when she was
accepted as a professor in the Interstellar Sciences Institute.
When Aido was 8 (16 Terran years), he and his brother Telor were both
seriously injured in an archaeology expedition to Kelos V. Aido eventually

suicide that dates back to their middle ages, Telor asked Aido to end his
suffering. Aido, reluctant, obliged and "released" his brother from his
physical suffering.
Aido, convinced that he could have prevented the accident if he had
proper training and knowledge, decided to make a lifestyle/career change that
would provide him with discipline and structure.
Starfleet History:
When he was old enough, he followed his brother Kiido to the Academy but

Personal History:
Aido Rixx was born on Bolarus IX, but grew up on one of the planet's
moons. From age 2 and on (Bolians age twice as slow as humans), Aido and his
family lived on various starships due to his father's career. While his older
brother, Kiido, longed to be like their father and pursue a Starfleet career,
Aido expressed interests in science and archaeology (as did his mother). He
and his younger brother, Telor, moved back to Bolarus IX when she was
accepted as a professor in the Interstellar Sciences Institute.
When Aido was 8 (16 Terran years), he and his brother Telor were both
seriously injured in an archaeology expedition to Kelos V. Aido eventually
recovered, but Telor did not. As the Bolians have a principle of assisted
suicide that dates back to their middle ages, Telor asked Aido to end his
suffering. Aido, reluctant, obliged and "released" his brother from his
physical suffering.
Aido, convinced that he could have prevented the accident if he had
proper training and knowledge, decided to make a lifestyle/career change that
would provide him with discipline and structure.

Starfleet Academy History:
When he was old enough, he followed his brother Kiido to the Academy but
majored in sciences -- including stellar cartography, astrophysics and
exoarchaeology. He served as an Editor on the Academy Cadet Scientific
Journal, was a member of the Junior Archaeologists Club, was among the first
Academy students to sign up for and (barely) pass the Klingon Mok'bara gym
class and served on the Cadet Holiday Festivities Council two years in a
row.
Rixx, being somewhat of an introvert, had only one true friend at the
Academy--a fellow classmate and Trill named Ezri, who went on to become a
counselor. She helped Rixx adjust to life among humans and deal with the
pressures and responsibilities of being a future Starfleet officer.
As part of his final examinations, he successfully reproduced an
artificial blackhole in the sciences lab.
Recently graduated from the Academy, Aido Rixx's first assignment is
aboard the USS Hermes as a science officer.

Background-
Anika was raised in Betazed, attended traditional Betazed schools. She
graduated from the university of Betazed. At the age of 19 during a trip with
her parents to the Santora colony, they were attacked be the Borg. Anika was
assimilated into the collective, her father was killed and her mother escaped
with the help f a resistance group. During the attack of a Borg ship that
entered Federation space,
many Borg were found in an escape pod ... most were severely injured and
being cut off from the collective died. Anika alone survived and thanks to
the Medical Staff on Starbase 2 who were able to reverse most of the Borg
assimilation she was able to attend Starfleet Academy. Anika excelled in her
studies at the academy graduating with honors.
While on the Hermes, Anika confronted a species known as the Kronucians.
They changed her DNA, and now she is part Kronucian. They were also the
species that inpregnated her with her daughter, Teena Anijh.
