Duty Log
First Lieutenant Smitty
SD 9609.12
Begin Recording

I have gone over all of the preliminary reports given to me by the
engineering department and have agreed with most of their conclusions.
However, I do feel the need to do some of my own checking, or investigation
into the new quantum repeater coils Starfleet has installed.

I have also made an appointment to speak with Commander Shecky, the stations
Chief Engineer, about replacing the current warp coils with those used in the
older Constitution classed ships. I feel they provide more protection from
matter/antimatter leakage, especially with the new engin designs Starfleet
keeps coming up with.

I will submit a full report sometime next week, after my honeymoon. Until
then,

::Aaron puts down his Clarinet as he remembers he hasn't done a log yet::
"Computer, open Duty Log. Begin Recording" says Aaron with a slight notion

Computer> Opening log.. Recording.
::Aaron starts off slowly::
After a long wait, the Halifax has finally run her maiden voyage. I
know she will be a worthy ship, and I bet she will become the flagship in
the near future. I met the Executive Officer today. A Commander Sean
Tarjoto, Alpha and Beta. I have never met such an interesting Character.
He is a Android, and a Hologram. Frankly, I am impressed.
As I walked on the bridge, there was so much commotion. I could barely
make my way around. Dan's hideous comment "Lets play disect the Ensign" made
me sick. If I were doctor (hint hint Sandy) I would disect the Dan. Well,
lets get on to a more happy tone. I played around with Science and learned
the controls and the protocols going into it. I programmed my first Science
Scanning Level!!
This new program instantly dectected and notified me of two approching
Runabouts from our destination (Deep Space Nine). I imediatly told the First
Officer, as the Captain happened to be out.
::Aaron yawns::

Duty Log

USS Halifax NX-65056

Recently, we finally got to launch this ship. The captain got to do the
ceremonial stuff, but I had the privilege of actually taking her out. We
exited the Star Base and proceed to Deep Space Nine at Warp five.
Half way there, we had a minor plasma alignment problem in the port warp
nacelle, which was undoubtedly a shakedown glitch. It was speedily
corrected. On the approach to Deep Space Nine, two runabouts joined us and
they started maneuvering. It sparked a drive in me. I got permission to
execute several maneuvers, to test the Halifax’s maneuvering capability. She
shall prove to be a good ship. I executed several Barrel Rolls followed by a
Three Axis loop up and around the runabouts. A vertical dive
followed and back into normal flight. Several of the crew, were obviously
not conditioned for these ventures, and, to make a long story short, half the
bridge crew puked all over there respective consoles. I doubt those runabout
crews will ever try anything again.

USS Halifax NX-65056
Stardate 9610.16

Diplomatic authorities Kai Winn, and Major Yvent are safely aboard after
the extinction of all life present on Bajor.
At 2300 hours last night, scans on the planet Bajor came negative on
lifeform capacity. At this moment, Bajor is a dead planet, and becoming
deader by the moment.
The Halifax arrived only shortly after station Deep Space 9's initial
scans, and confirmed that in a total of twelve minutes all life on Bajor was
eliminated. In addition, an unknown factor also commited minor damages on
the Halifax upon arrival. Deep Space Nine remains relatively unaffected. We
are continuing investigation on this incident in cooperation with Deep Space
Nine and are in the process of assembling an away team, if needed. Also,
commerical traffic to and from the wormhole has been paused.
In addition, our chief transportations officer, Lt. Kohn, suffered critical
injuries and is not expected to survive.

Captains Log

Upon entrance into the Wormhole, we enncounntered sever turblance. Thrusters
and attidude conntrol went ofline, and we had a struggle to keep our ship
under control. Kai Winn and her party was escorted to secured quarters while
we tried to remedy the situation.

Unpon reaching full stop, I made the decision to return to Federation Space,
innstead of completing the journey through the wormhole. We returned to our
own space, and I instructed the helmsman to head to Bajor, warp 9.

During the trip to Bajor, I found that The ship was minnorally dammaged, and
that some computer functionns were oflinne. Engineringn reported that minor
dammage was enndured on the Port Nacel.

Uponn arrival at Bajor, I requested that the Provisional Government be placed
on the comm. After several minnutes of waiting, we descovered that there was
nno provisional governmennt, and in fact, there was no life at all onn Bajor.
Every humanoid, every animal, gone.

I will conduct a tour of the key areas of the Halifax to determine how badly
we are dammaged. Intership communication is at a minimal.

I do not know how to address this situation. I plan to take a team, and take
a runnabout to the surface to discover the problem, as our trannsporters are
oflinen.

and any of the surrounnding ships. Power cells were dead, etc...

3. We have no Transpoerters on the ship.

4. We must go to Bajor to finnd cules on whats going on here.

:::Recorded in Aarek's readyroom:::

A long sigh is heard, as Aarek is seen walkingn to the replicator.
"Trill Spice Wine, warm." He spoke, as the mug materalized on the
replicator pad. Aarek got the mug, took a sip, and returned to his desk.
"Computer, begin personal log. Authorization Aarek 5 4 2."

"We began our mission without much problem. Then all hell hit the floor,
and now it seems that we are in a universe with no humanoid or animal life.
Plant life is about the only thing we can findn aywhere. Deep Space Nine is
even void of life, and the only reminicent of life there is odd things.
Metal, non living implants for example, are spread accross the promenade. A
pacemaker was even found in a turbolift. Scanns also revealed that the power
source in DS9 was void of power or life. "
"Meannwhile here on Bajor, the same situation is present. We will be
taking a runabout down in a few hours, with a small team. Whatever hit the
planet, I donnt want to effect my crew. I dont know how to feel about this.
My crew is tense. SOme of them trust me, but nnot nearly ennough. The years
of trust I had built on the Stealth is no lonnger presennt. I hope that I can
count on my crew in nthe ways I did with the Stealth."
Aarek gets up, and walks accross to a view port.
"I have been plagued by thoughts of my children over the past few hours,
and that of Ayril. I can't imagine whats going on in their lives. The
cominique I recieved was brief and vague. What will happen if their mother
dies? Will they accept life with a total strannger father who captains a
starship? What has she told them of me? What do they think of me? Am I hated?
Loved? Feared? All these emmotions are plaquing me, annd I don't know what to
do about it."
" My mental blocks that are supposed to keep out others emmotions are
failing. The crew's emmotionns are floodingn in at an inncredible rate, and
is only inntensifiying my conncern at the currennt situation. I don;'t know
how to deal with this."
Aarek walks back to the Desk, sips some more spice wine. He allows the
warm cirtius annd cinamonney liquid remain in his mouth, then allows himself
to slowly swallow the drink.
"All I knnow is this, I am a Starfleet captain. I have a duty and a
commitment to preform. I must keep these people safe and secure. They look up
to me, I am their comforter, I am their figurehead. I must allow myself to
become the person they want me to be so that they may be at ease and preform
their jobs the way they should."

"Computer, end log and save. "

Aarek walks out of the Ready room, onto the Bridge. Confident, calm, and
collected.

After coming back out of the wormhole we discovered that there was no
animal life of any kind whatsoever. We then split into two teams. I went
with Beta, Aaron, and Sandy to Bajor in a shuttle. Upon arriving Beta
stepped out of the shuttle and shut down. We dragged him back into the
shuttle and for some odd reason he turned back on. Then he did it again.
After dragging him into the shuttle again he decided that I should lead the
team. After discovering that tricorders weren't working I lead
the team to what I thought looked like a restaruant. We entered the
building and shortly heard Beta's order to abort. I took off towrds the
shuttle. Thats when I decided to make this log.

:::Recorded on Tricorder:::

Captains Log, Supplimental.

This log is beingn recorded in a tricorded in hopes that it can be
trannsfered into the ships computer when npower is restored.

We seperated the Halifax, and Sean's and thier team kept the drive section
and remained in orbit of Bajor while I took the saucer, annd my team to DS9.

We reached DS9 and scanns repeatedly proved that what we were seeing was
true, and that DS9 was void of life. We launched a probe to explore the other
shide of the Station, but upon exit from the ship, the probe lost all power.
We tractored the probe back into our Shuttle bay and after a few moments, the
probe powered up again. Also, The Saucer was suffering power drains as well.

FstLt Dan had a plan that Romulans or other colaked ships may be present
because cirtian readings were inconclusive. He divised a plan that would
drain our resources, but discover annd neutralize any cloaked ships. I
finally allowed this plann, and it accomplished nnothinng, say for the
extennsive power drain on our reserves. We are currently without power, under
minimal lifesupport.

We will be taking a team to DS9 soon, in hopes that we can obtain more clues,
as well as get a backup battery from thier storage. I am very pessimistic
about this, as the batteries must be dead as well, or DS9 would be powered.

"Targing Wombats! COME ON!" Cmdr. Sean Tarjoto-Beta screamed at the
shuttle console, wishing it could go faster, but too fast to pass the
restaurant. He was not having a good day.
It started out innocently enough. A maiden voyage. A diplomatic mission.
Some guests from Bajor, and the usual formalities. Boring stuff in a dress
uniform.
Of course...only...in the freak nature of the universe, would Sean
Tarjoto-Beta be piloting a shuttle at .65 impulse, and still be meters away
from...
Well, from something. It wasn't really nothing. That wasn't possible,
since even "nothing" was "something" if you looked at it carefully. So really
whatever THIS thing was-this thing chasing his shuttle butt, this thing
pushing the limits of his emotion-fear modules, this thing that was
completely transcending anything he'd ever seen, observed, or read about a
thing called Space-Time-was now mere meters away. Sean was jack-assed
scared.
He tried contacting the away team, which he'd seen earlier was heading
towards a small Bajoran restaurant. Or maybe it was Kriosian. Either way, it
was abandoned. Plates food still resting, half-eaten, on tables where
clothing was laid back in the chairs outside of the restaurant-table umbrella
still propped high. All that stuff, were littered around the building in a
ghost townish sort of scene. And the away team was supposedly inside,
checking the place out. Hopingly not unsuspectingly. He tried
to contact the away team with his commbadge, and hoped that even though
their phasers, tricorders, and biosuits were deader than doorknobs, that
their commbadges worked. It was a futile action. Since not even Beta could
lift his mechanized foot out of the shuttle door and keep it functioning.
Beta had come to the undeniable conclusion that whatever had eliminated
all life on the planet Bajor and the space station Deep Space Nine(and
possibly the entire sector and universe) was this large, crunchy-sounding,
melting mass of black inching in on the aft plasma vents of his nacelles. Or
at least, it felt like it was inching...the sensors showed a sudden negative
reading on the matter flow just about 20 meters behind the shuttle, and a
whole jumble of other stuff saying that anything behind that
20 meters, beyond the crunchy, melting, black wall was unaffected and just
there. Immaculate almost. Which was damn hard to believe. Hopefully the
sensors were showing some sort of false information that'd allow Beta to
stop, pick up the AT, and get the hell out of there-before the black wall
caught up with them.
Otherwise...

"Executive Officer's log. Stardate 429610.23-USS Halifax, Drive Section.
"Our continued attempts at communication with the Away Team and Saucer
Section have gone unanswered. Ensign Juba, the Co-Chief Engineer, reports
that all communication systems are fully functioning. Therefore I have
assumed that the Saucer section's communications system has been disabled.
Our sensor scans reveal the Saucer section orbiting Deep Space 9 unaffected,
although recent events force me to consider that information unreliable.
"As for the Away team, we know that at the least, their communicators are
not functioning. Although sensors show lifeforms representing the landing
party and a shuttle, I am once again forced to consider that information
unreliable. The AT shuttle appears to be postioned stationary upon the
Landing Zone, with the away team located under one mile from it, Commander
Beta, not present.
"If no response is recieved from the Away team in one hour, I will order
the Drive Section to make a course for DS9-for Captain Dakor and the Saucer.
I will not risk allowing perhaps disguised Dominion Changeling forces present
on Bajor, or whatever other force responsible for the elimination of all life
on the planet, to enter this ship."

Cmdr. Tarjoto-Alpha sat in the command chair of Secondary/Battle bridge,
located on deck 15, concerned. His face never showed it. But all of the
programming and subroutines housed within the isolinear circuit boards in his
holoprojector were tortured with making conflicting directives. He had made
the welfare of crew a priority. Especially Beta, since he contributed, in
some way, to the betterment of Alpha's productivity and efficiency. He had
made the lives of all living things a priority, and was
wondering whether Beta, and Android, was alive. Although logically, Alpha
knew that more definite, and equally valuable lives were at risk in the
Saucer section, the value of Beta him was strangely balancing the scales.
Alpha decided he needed to do a diagnostic on himself later.
The hologram shook his thoughts away and stood up from his chair. His
portable projector automatically followed from in front of him. The commander
moved to the operations station, the projector trailing along, to the
unmanned station. He looked at the readings.
And suddenly knew, he had to make a decision. Now.

To Be Continued....in the Sim :D

~~RECORDING~~~

We continued our mission. The Halifax went into the
wormhole and came out to find all life had dissapeared about 6 hours ago. We
split the ship and I was in the saucer with Dan, Odo and Captain Dakor. I
underwent tactical scans of Bajor. They revealed nothing. Then, our powwer
levels dropped. Emergency backups also dropped. Life support was critical. We
had to re-formulate a plan. Dan wanted to do something with DS9's batteries,
but they didn't work. I suggested a solar sail. Dan also
had a plan, but I have'nt the slightest what it was. The captain went
through with both as a compromise. I took Odo down to the shuttlebay. While I
constructed the solar sail, Odo salvaged the runabout's batteries (which were
not affected). Odo hooked the batterie up to the door control. We had the
solar sail constructed just when the drive section docked with us. I am
currently off duty.

After finding Bajor very lifless, Beta called for the AT to get out of the
building. I stared walking out and then all of a sudden there is the shuttle
heading staight at me. Well, after leaving Bajor and going back to the
Halifax and the ship was all back together, we discovered that Lt. Kohn had
metamorphasised into some monster. The monster was tearing apart the ship so
we very well had to do something about it. I tried to tranqualize the beast
but with little affect. Beta came and tried to jump on
the monster, but it moved and Beta landed on me. (He's one heavy android!)
Anyway, the Kohn monster moved onto the bridge and took Captain Dakor
hostage. After retrieving a more heavy dose of sedatives, I went to the
bridge to try to get the monster. After a very spelled out expression
received from the captain, I CAREFULLY gave the monster his shot. The monster
collapsed and I had Kohn transported to Sick Bay where he soon shrunk back to
his old self. He woke not too soon after not remembering a thing.
That could be good for him. I haven't decided yet whether or not to tell him
exactly what happened. I later heard that we had entered a wormhole and that
life was back on Bajor and DS9.

straight. The ship suddenly turned into a trill hospital and then a forest.
Don't ask me how or why. But anyway, I went down to Sickbay with Sean, Dan,
and Odo because we believed this was being caused by the unconscious Captain
Dakor. There we found a polar bear being escorted by cardassians. While the
polar bear fought Dan and I, Kohn worked on the Captain. The polar bear
knocked the phaser from my hand. I had to resort to
primitive methods. In other words, I started chucking snowballs at it.
Unfortunately, I missed and smacked Dan. Then, I kicked it's rear end. Then,
I started jumping on it's back and hitting it. It threw me into a wall. Then
Dan engaged in frying it's genetals. The bear made sort of a
"roooooouuuuffffffffffffffff!!!!!!!" sound before it fell to the floor
holding itself in pain. I still think that was not nessecary. As Dan started
sticking phasers up it's nose and firing, the ice under me started to
melt. I tried to rip off all of my heavy equipment but to no avail. Thanks
to Alpha I was saved. Then, Dan decided to get on a piece of bulkhead and
swim while imitading a 20th century battleship. Dakor was rescued and all was
normal again.

Executive Officer's Log
Stardate 9611.17

Captain Dakor's intense telekinetics and it's subsequent effect on the
entire ship's infrastructure has, surprisingly, done very little damage.
Medical reports conclude Captain Dakor's over-exhaustion forced our commander
into a comatose state, whereupon subconscious mental activity combined with
telepathic and telekinetic energy where projected by the Captain into various
superficial environments overshadowing actual reality.
Our damage reports and medical casualties are at a mininum as of today.
Sickbay reports the Captain is recovering well, and the respiratory injuries
sustained by Lt. Odo underwater were superficial. Lt. Dan Langan's extreme
prejudice towards infiltrating figures such as Cardassian forces and other
figures from the captain's memory, most notably, a large Alteraan polar bear,
may need psychological attention, but I have assumed the lieutenant's
instinct to survive merely surpassed his logical thinking.
Although Lt. Odo may need to settle with Mr. Langan any disputes he may have
about the events which allowed him to plunge into -10 degree Celsius
dihydrogen oxide.

As soon as a Chief of Science Officer is appointed, I will be sending them
the Engineering and Security forensic reports, for closer investigation and
then shipment to Trill and classification as "Personal Confidential"
material. The extremity of the captain's telekinesis is something to be
documented, but unfortunately much of result material is confidential under
Trill Host-Symbiont privacy rulings.

element attacked us and dragged us away from
him. I never caught that it was my Captain’s
dreams, I thought it was some entity trying to keep
us from him. After being run down a river and over
a fall, I was pissed!
I went back to sickbay determined to reach my
friend,Captain Dakor. My lack of fear and just plain
stupidity pulled me through. After reaching the
Captain, I awoke him artificially with an injection.
The ship returned to normal as if nothing
happened. Aarek said he had weird dreams, if he
only knew.

:: Comming to the end of his shift, Kohn makes a few comments to his
relief crew.....::

Well boys, this was one hell of a mess. I left a list of tests to run on
the main systems, we must be 100% sure that the transporters don’t fail.
Please prepare a report for me to review in the morning as usual, you
know I don’t like to cut into your down time.

Ens 1st class:: Aye sir, Jesus Christ....

Kohn:: Well, after being driven down stream and over a water fall by the
captains’ wild dreams, I want to be positive that nothing is wrong
with the one system that may save our lives.

Ens 1st class:: Sir, most of these maintenance and replacement jobs
aren’t even required for the life of the transporters
by the fleet, why do them now, and should we trash them
after we are done?

Kohn:: Well, ensign, it’s like this. We may be dealing with some
stress factors never before encountered. Please note that I have
listed which parts to trash and which to keep for testing.
I will run the tests personally, and if they check out, we’ll
keep ‘em. The ones for trashing are already past due for replacement.
Now it may all be in our minds what happened here, but can you
say beyond the shadow of a doubt that that is all? I can’t.

Ens 1st class:: No sir,,,,

Kohn:: When you take care of a system that RIPS people apart
and puts them back together again, you play no doubts, no trumps.
You must be exact in your science to the millionth
degree, is that clear!

Ens 1st class:: AYE SIR!

Kohn:: Good, ensign, at ease. Now I’m outta here,
I’m going to fry some brain cells in the hole deck with
some old buds and a case of ale. I am not to be described between
the hours of 23:00 and 04:30, I have to sleep sometime, unless it
is an emergency.

Ens 1st class:: Aye sir.

::The ensign and Kohn exchange salutes and Kohn heads out the door.::

Ens 1st class:: Damn have I got the work cut out for me,
Team, this is the scoup....

::Kohn in the turbo shaft::

Upon receiving a distress signal the Halifax went in to action. The Away
Team that was to take a shuttle craft to the distressed ship consisted of me
and Lt Jon. Kind of a wimpy Away Team but it was all we could manage figuring
the captain, Cdr Sean, Lt Kohn, and FstLtSean were all attending a wedding.
As Jon requested permission to take off, I sat down at the helm. We soon took
off and were on our way to the beat up cargo ship. I scanned for life signs
but got nothing due to the polaron field. We
reached the cargo ship and docked. None sooner than we had docked did three
warships uncloak in front of the Halifax and start to fire. The ships soon
turned on the cargo ship and fired at our shuttle, destroying it. Jon and I
fled from the craft as it blew up. Right after the shuttle blew up, an angry
crewman came running at us. I quickly turned and fired my phaser at him. He
was followed by another angry crewman that Jon got with his phaser. One
crewman came out and asked us who we were . We told him
that we were from the Halifax. The man asked us if we were part of the
Dominion. We answered no. He introduced himself as T'gal. He explained to us
the reason for their ship's unsightly condition. The Dominion had attacked
the cargo ship, the D'nel, for refueling one of their enemies' ships. Jon
told T'gal that we would take himon board the Halifax and T'gal is excited.
Jon wants to beam everybody back but I had to remind him that Beming up was
impossible because of the polaron field. I got an idea to
somehow create an opening in the polaron field to beam us back but there
were no engineers on board the ship, and I'm no engineer. We looked at the
Halifax and saw it destroy one of the warships and attack a third. The
Halifax started towards the D'nel and soon enclosed the ship in the Halifax's
shields. Jon and I were beamed out of the cargo ship and returned safely to
the Halifax. Unfortunately, I don't know what will happen to the rest of the
crew of the D'nel.

The Android tapped the console curtly, letting the subspace channels fizz in
the ethereal vacuum of hyperspace, and allowing the connection to complete on
the monitor. The familiar Federation emblem appeared on the viewscreen before
Lt. Cmdr. Brad Meinrik, and a serious look.
"Commander." Beta announced. "Good to see you and the ship still under two
peices...I read your preliminary report."
The Bajoran nodded impatiently, concerned about the recent turn of events
more than the Commander's greetings. "Yes sir." He concurred. "The D'nel is
under standard Ship-Tow procedures right now, and we've offered our help. As
ordered."
Commander Tarjoto-Beta licked his front teeth close mouthed, thinking about
how crazy the universe was to throw a distress call onto the Halifax, right
after he and the Captain had left the crew. Beta crossed his arms and nodded.
"Allright. Good, we're heading at warp 7 and we should be at the Halifax in a
day. Depending if we run into a polaron field or not ourselves." He smiled.
Meinrik let a small grin surface from his face and nodded. "Aye sir. Halifax
out."
Tarjoto returned the nod and tapped the console.

It appered to be several jacked up Jem’Hadar cruisers equiped with rudimentry

than five shots off, before I engaged in...enemy evasion techniques. The
wrenches were flying in Engineering, as I executed several barrel rolls right
down the middle of the Jem’Hadar formation. I mangaged to destroy two out of
the six or so in a pretty red fireball, and
severely damage another by fireing a narowly focused phaser up its “butt”
(aft sensor panel) and knocking out it’s major systems with a chain reaction.

What a hectic shift! I called the medical officers to Sickbay to get some

have run into trouble because Beta wanted more medical crew ready to beam
aboard the Berlioz. I went down to the transporter room to wait for
permission to go down. I recieved permission and beamed aboard the Berlioz.
There I found the Away team and Yavin running around screaming.
Something jumped or leaped or something on to Brad so we immediately beamed
back to the Halifax, unfortunately bringing the thing with us. It turned out
to be a rat like thing that had jumped on Brad, who must have gotten a bump
on the head because he threw it at Adria. The rat thing was vaporized by
Sean2 and I escorted everybody to Sickbay. There things got worse. It was
total chaos. A mouth thing appeared in the middle of Sickbay so Brad went
crazy. EnsGWells put a forcefield around it and I tried to
continue treating everybody but to no avail. Finally the mouth thing went
away and I continued treating people, except Brad. I think he's one of those

Well, my first duty shift as counsiler on the USF Halifax was,
well, somewhat odd. It started out as mundain enough, we were supposed to go
esscort the USS Berlioz from uncharted territory considering she was damaged,
of course, something went wrong. About an hour latter, we got a distress
call, and of course, we responded. Since we could not asses the damage of the
ship, we sent an away team, consisting of FstLtSean2, EnsYavin, FstLtDan, and
myself, the team was headed up by LtCBrad. We
beamed to the ship, there were so many dead bodies they practically covered
the floor, and we were standing in the middle of a pile of trash,(just my
luck, I get beamed into a waist disposal unit wearing my Evek Loran boots,
yuck!). Then, out of nowhere, a LtYakon comes up with a phaser, we fired on
him, but instead of incapasitating him he just dissapeared. To keep searching
for survivers, Lt Yakon, and a cause to the damage, we split up, Brad took
Yavin, and Sean2 to Engineering. FstLtDan and I were
to head to the bridge, (also an irony, the counsiler is on a team with a guy
who names his tricorder) in any case, we tried to head up the turbo shaft to
the bridge. While we were on our way to the bridge, the others were attacked,
adn we were forced to beam back to the Halifax. After returning we all
reported to sickbay, where, something even stranger happened, out of nowhere,
this giant mouth with lots of sharp teeth poped up and tries to eat EnsYavin!
When we fired at it, it just ate the phaser fire,
needless to say, we were confused. When the mouth changed into a bear cub, I
thought my office was gona be backed up till sometime next decade. We
discovered that the mouth was the cause of the Berlioz's distruction, it said
it "ate them" because they werent very nice. Fortunately, becausse we were
acting so nuty, the mouth decided we were to primative to eat, and left,
(whoever thought insanity could be a good thing?) should I be looking for a
new job? well anyway, that concludes our wacky
mission....this time,

The Halifax was en route to respond to a distress call from the U.S.S.
Berlioz when I reported for duty on the bridge. When we entered the system,
I scanned the Berlioz and found some faint lifesigns and an unusual energy
pattern. An away team beamed over to the Berlioz to begin an investigation.
Upon arrival the away team found the corridors strewn with dead crewmen and
an alien rat-like creature infesting the ship. In the ensuing panic, the
away team was beamed back to the Halifax carrying
the a supposedly dead rat-creature with them. While the away team was being
examined in Sickbay, the rat-creature changed it's shape to resemble a large
body covered with mouths, then changed it again to resemble a bear cub. When
the creature proved to be immune to phaser fire, I activated a Level 3
Forcefield to contain alien life form. The creature then informed the away
team and medical staff that it had eaten most of the crew of the Berlioz, and
that we were to "primitive" to deal with. The
creature then vanished from Sickbay. The sensor scans are still being
analyized by the Halifax and by Starfleet.

First Lieutenant Sean2

USS HALIFAX NX-65056
Personal Log

The Halifax responded to a distress signal sent out by the USS Belioz, which
had suffered substantial damage endangering the ship and it' s crew. At that
point I grabbed my weapons and headed for the transporter room to prepare to
beam over with the Away Team to supervise security. Lieutenant Commander
Brad23 was in command of the away team, which didn' t bother me. A few
minutes after beam over, I spotted a Lieutenant above us with a phaser. I
reported it to the away team and told them "Get down.
There is a man with a phaser. (close if not exactly)". I ordered the
Lieutenant to throw down his weapon and come down. He would not comply, and I
believe he fired. At that point I returned fire on a medium stun setting
without success. I then fired on maximum stun ,once again without success. At
that point, I requested permission from all command level staff to fire on
him/her on disrupt setting. While awaiting a response,

I turned to heat
disruption setting 1, using the authority given to me to
endanger an aggressive lifeforms life when all stun settings failed, and I
had exhausted all reasonable options, and I feared for an other' s life. I
was questioned for my reason for requesting to vaporize the guy, and by then
he had escaped. At that point, something started attacking the away team. I
could not solve the solution, and that point
Commander Sean, who was in command since Captain Dakor was away for personal
reasons, asked if we needed assistance. I then requested for reinforcements,
but found myself beamed up to the Halifax. I then headed to sickbay, where I
was trying to kill a rat, and accidentally killed an ensign. At that point I
releived myself of my duties and placed myself under arrest.

Commander Sean reported an intruder alert to me when I was in the brigade. I
then lowered the forcefield (don' t ask me how) , and I started on the
problem, but it was resolved before I could do anything.

Stardate 9611.30...yet another Mysterious Entity has put us primitive
mortals down.
Ah well...whatever the shapeshifting thing that destroyed the Berlioz crew
didn't destroy us-and for good reason too. As primitive as it concludes we
are, at least we're trying to improve. Science has sent the readings we
managed to collect from the Berlioz as well as from the entity's short, but
damaging, visit aboard the Halifax to SFHQ. They'll be reviewing it under
high surveillance-since they think it's some sort of new species of
Changeling or perhaps member of the Q Continuum. I just think it's
hungry.
Ah well, in other news, the case of EnsJuba is closed. Juba's remains were
adequate enough for a sizable autopsy that allowed us to find some sort of
viral strain in her body. We're notifying her next of kin about our findings,
hopefully in pure concurrance.
Lt. Sean2, our Chief of Security, demands he also be put under arrest for
the Accidental Death of Ensign Patron. His request has been denied. Ensign
Patron was the victim of pure crossfire, and Lt Sean2 will not be facing any
significant damage to his career. As for his emotional state however...that,
I'm afraid is up to him.
Also, news of a new Borg incursion at Sector 001 has come to our news. The
Halifax will be setting a course for Earth and will be arriving in
approximately 4-5 days. Fleet traffic has increased by nearly 20%, due to
nearly all of it having set a course for Terra.
Surprisingly, the Enterprise-E, under the command of Captain Picard, is not
in the list of ships sent to detain the Borg incursion. Captain Picard and
the Enterprise-D have been known for conducting crucial operations against
the Borg, and succeeding, and why Starfleet chooses not to enlist their help
is quite strange...

four light years from Bajor, when some rather wierd things started happening.
An Away Team consisting of me, Brad, Lt Cdr Adria, and several others began
trying to piece together what had happend to the Berlioz. We split up, with
Cdr Adria and I trying to make our way up to the bridge. What little systems
that were still operating were runing on emergency batteries. Because of
this, the turbo-lifts were not working and all of
the Jeffries tubes were crowded with bodies that had been mangled beyond
insanity, and Adria didn’t want to get her clothes dirty. I proceeded to
knock out the ceiling of a turbo-lift car and started climbing up, with Adria
following reluctantly. Meanwhile, the other part of the away team, were
being poked and bitten by invisible mosquitoes, and all poop was breaking
loose. Back in the TL shaft, it seemed that several mangled bodies had
mysteriously made their way into shaft, so a threw afew down for
clear climbing room. Unfortunatly, I had forgotten that Adria was down
there and the bodies accidently grazed her. She then let out a scream that
could probobly be heard on the Halifax, and nearly fainted. I found a nearly
dead rodent creature, and tried to nurse him back to health. Because of the
seccond detachments troubles with invisible mosqutoes, we were beamed back to
the Halifax immediatly.

After the interesting encounters with the invisible mosquitoes, wich were
driving the second part of our away team insane, we were beamed back to the

somewhat worked. “Mr Fuzzy” safely made it back to the Halifax, much to Lt
Cdr Adrias disgust. He started squeeking, and Adria again let out a scream
and called for security. Then I made the very, very bad mistake of holding
Mr Fuzzy up to her face and telling her to say “hi”.
She again exercised my ear drums (or maybe slaughtered them) and threw me a
nasty uppercut that sent me flying across the transporter room. I was
somewhat uninjured, however Mr Fuzzy had caught the brunt of the blow. Hid
internal organs started mixing together, and he died in my arms <<dramatic,
huh?>>. I then got very mad at Adria, and threw the dead Mr Fuzzy across the
room into Adria’s face. Luckily, Cdr Sean came in at that time and broke up
the inevitable fist fight. I then went to sickbay,
somewhat distressed. However, a rather large ball of teeth had been
attacking Brad, and they managed to get a force field around it. As I came
in, it turned into a Polar Bear. You know how much I like polar bears. I
lunged at it, but was repelled by the force field. By this time, I wasn’t
felling so good. I started getting loopy, and threw up on Ens Yavin. I took
another lunge at the force field, but again, I was sent back. I was now not
felling good at all, and got up and started playing with
the force field. About this time, the ball of teeth went away, ad I
eventually regained my senses.

We were ordered to Starbase 17 to convert the Halifax to its normal
exploration specs to its full blown warship specs and to rendezvous with the
captain. After modifications were complete we set an intercept course for
the Borg Ship that had penetrated Federation territory. We were to engage
the Borg before the rest of the fleet. Before engaging the Borg the ship was
seperated. I left main engineering in the capable hands of Ensign Tark and
reported to the saucer engineering deck. Shortly thereafter
I felt that during the Borg encounter that I could anticipate needed repairs
if I knew what the ships actions were going to be before they were
implemented so I reported to the bridge where I took the Engineering station
aft of the command center. We then engaged the Borg. The battle went well
for us on the saucer section for awhile but then our shields were hit and
failed. Borg started to beam on to the ship. Chaos erupted on the bridge
but I trusted the rest of the crew to handle the Borg long
enough to bring back the shields. Shortly after regaining shields and
partially purging the ship of Borg we felt it wise to retreat to the main
fleet. While in the midst of retreating the captain and two other pilots,
whose names elude me at the moment, launched in some tactical fighters we
received at Starbase 17. They fought well and then in an unexpected manuever
the captain had the fighters link up. All anti-matter charges were
transported to the captains fighter and the captain was transported
to one of the other fighters. That is what the stuation is now. I am
sending this log because if this doesn't work it may be my last. The captain
is now launching the fighter at the borg ship it is on...-cept

Commander Sean Tarjoto-Alpha stood on the Secondary Battle Bridge of the USS
Halifax, stoic, expressionless, and thinking very carefully.
The little isolinear circuitry in his projector buzzed, too low for anyone
to hear. They brought data back and forth, and projected the Commander's
humanoid figure. An emotional and aesthethic necessity. The bridge crew
needed a face to talk to.
The holograms small, mobile, holoprojector powering Alpha's image; the
commander stepped back, sat into his chair and looked at the viewer.
Meinrik, Jantak, and the Captain were all in their fighter wings, already
engaged with the fleet, while the Saucer section regrouped for some quick and
hasty repairs. Meanwhile, the drive section covered butts. In addition, the
main fleet confronting the Borg Cube was faring off rather well.
Tactically, they were fine. Fleetwise that is.
The commander noted a tense and battle-ready Klingon officer behind him at
the Security station. Sean2 glanced at the dented bridge door, which, only
just behind it, was crawling with Borg. Thank Creator for duranium frame.
Booker managed a few small beads of sweat as he adjusted his phaser holster
while keeping an eye on the tactical console. So far, seeing everything the
commander did (he did, after all, reroute that information), except with the
barage of up-to-the-minute damage reports in fleet wire. Looking at the strip
of damge reports scrolling across his monitor, it seem that everything so
far, was surprisingly, under control. Outside of the ship that is.
The doors thudded, creaking in a final twist of metal under pressure.
Pressure of goal-inspired Borg. Ensign Tark edged away. The bridge got just a
little bit quieter. Outside of the ship too.
Take this short opportunity to construct a duty log, Al thought.

In response to the Borg Threat at sector 000, the Halifax has split into
two-way battle mode, after modifications and civilian crew evacuation.
With the Captain and Cmdr. Tarjoto-Beta in command of the Saucer Section,
and myself in charge of the Drive Section, the Halifax was able to divert a
small army of Borg troops onto the ship. By being boarded, we induced more
variables for the Collective to muster. Unfortunately, the price was
extreme-with nearly 7% of the crew being assimilated or killed by/or active
personnel or in the resulting battle.
Forced to retreat for more open space, the Halifax sent two experimental
personnel fighter wings into the main fleet against the Borg Cube. Cmdr. Beta
is making short repairs to the Saucer Section, and then is ordered to regroup
the Saucer Section with Captain Dakor, and Lt. Cmdrs Jantak and Meinrik in
their fighters.
However, the Drive Section remains capacitated with intruding Borg, sparse
Security personnel, and much damage to our systems. At the filing of this
text recording, the Secondary Bridge is being infiltrated.

We have engaged the Borg. The Halifax was ordered to try to slow down the
Borg Cubeship in order to give the fleet more time to muster Earth's
defenses. Captain Dakor ordered the Halifax to separate into the Drive
section and Saucer section and to engage the borg from two vectors of attack.
I was assigned to the Helm on the Drive section, when the attack began. The
Halifax held it's own for a while, but then the Saucer section took a severe
hit and it's shields started to buckle. I tried to move
the Drive section to cover the Saucer but the Borg began to board the two
sections. We fought them off, but at a high cost (see attached log). The
Captain ordered us to fall back and regroup with the fleet while he tried a
different tactic. A flight of small fighter craft launched from the Halifax
and engaged the Borg within it's defensive perimiter. Before he left,
however, the Captain felt I had earned a field promotion to Lieutenant Junior
Grade.

We ended our experience with the Borg. The Captains fighter was headed
toward the Borg cube, in kamakazee mode, and the battle section of the ship
was under attack, so the situation appeared preatty grim at the moment.
Brads fighter was rapidly losing power, and almost half of an entire wing was
gone, and a good portion of the other one had also been obliterated.
Fortunatley, I arrived on the scene about then, hehehehehe. The new fighter
gave the cube a juicier target, and began concentraiting it’s
attention towards me. This gave the remaining fighters ample time for a
retreat. I immediatly emptied my phaser core on the Borg ship, leaving great
swaths of destruction across the Borg ship’s hull. The quantum torpedoes
were next to go, and a well placed anti-matter charge severed a transwarp
conduit on the cube’s outer hull. The resulting explosion distracted me,
allowing the Borg’s tractor beam and plasma weapons to lock on. By using
what limited manueverability I had, I avoided a direct hit on
my fighter, but the blow was still substantial. It sent me careening out of
control, into a three-axis spin. To make matters MUCH worse, the inertial
dampers then failed, which was real fun. If it wasn’t for my seat belt, my
body would have been mangled beyond recognition by the extreme stress of
literaly bouncing of the walls. Fortunatly, I was then transfered “safely
back to the Halifax.

Duty Log 2A
Lieutenant J.G. Wells
Stardate 9612.11
++++++++++++++++++++++

I am on my way to repair a circuit condiut on Deck 4 Section 10. The
Halifax is en route to the rest of the fleet to try to stop the Borg. We
have been unsuccesful in stopping the Borg, but we have bought the fleet time
to form some sort of battle strategy. We have also been boarded by Borg
troops, but, so far, we have managed to contain them.
The turbolift doors open onto Deck 4 and I walked out. The lights are
down by about 50%, so I scanned with my tricorder to help me find the
junction that needs the repairs. I also have my sword, Bushwaker, my phaser
and my little ace-in-the hole.
I turned a corner, coming upon the section where the circiut junction
is, and I see them. Five Borg, each working on the junction that contains
several key bridge control circuitry. I look at my tricorder and check the
readings, but the tricorder detected nothing out of the ordinary. "The Borg
must have some subspace field that blocks my scans". I tapped my Commbadge
"Wells to Security.............Wells to security..........". No answer.
Either Security was too busy mopping up the remaining
Borg or the subspace field the Borg had operating was interfering with
communications. I didn't have time to run to another section and call
Security from there, so I figured it was up to me.
I quietly drew my sword and powered up my phaser to Level 7. I began to
inch forward, trying to keep to the shadows, when one of the Borg turned
around. My heart froze, I was just about to raise my phaser when the Borg's
laser scanner crossed my chest. It continued on to the bulkhead and then
stopped. The Borg turned back to the circuit junction, ignoring me. After
my heart started to beat again, I began to inch forward again, keeping my eye
on the Borg the whole time. "The Borg might not
judge me to be a threat, but let's see how much damage a Kenjitsu Master and
his sword can do'" I though as I raised my sword. I had managed to work my
way to the first Borg who was still ignoring me. "Let's make him pay for
that mistake, shall we Bushwaker?" I thought as I raised the sword and CUT.
The Borg's head flew into his companion, as the first Borg sparked and
convulsed all the way to the floor. One down, four to go. The second Borg
turned to face me. Obviously, their assesment of me had gone up a few
points.
The second borg raised it's arm. Micro-needles shot up out of it's
fingers, "You will be assim....". I never let the Borg finish it's sentence,
I cut off his arm right below the elbow. As the Borg assimilated that bit of
information, I raised my sword and cut through the Borg's collarbone, through
part of it's chest plate and stopped right around where it's right lung
should be. I kicked the Borg to free my sword from it's chest, and spun
around to face the others.

kicked the Borg to free my sword from it's chest, and spun around to face
the others.
WHAM!! Stars exploded in my head as the third Borg hit me across the
temple. I spun around dizzy, nearly falling to the ground before I could
raise my sword to block the Borg's next attack. The shock almost wrenched my
arm out it's socket, but it blocked the Borg's arm from crushing my head. I
drew back my sword and aimed for the Borg's neck. I slashed, trying to cut
it's head and spinal column.
My sword met a force field that appeared over it's neck and stopped with
a jolt. I had expected them to adapt, so I switched tactics. As the Borg
raised it's arm, I drew my phaser and fired, point blank, into it's neck.
The Borg's neck disappeared in a flash of disintegrating flesh and metal.
Even if it had it's force field up, I might have bypassed it by putting the
phaser emitter directly to it's body. The Borg's body slumped to the ground
without a sound.
I felt something cut into my shoulder, pain shooting through my back and
arm. The other Borgs had come at me from behind while the third one was
adapting to my attack. I spun around, ignoring the pain in my back, to find
a Borg raising it's straightened right arm, aiming directly at my chest. I
dropped and rolled, sending a new wave of pain through me from my injured
shoulder, but I managed to hold on to my sword as the phaser beam passed
directly where I had been standing. I came up to my
knees, right next to the fourth Borg. I reached out with my arms and heaved
the Borg's leg out from under him. As the Borg fell to the deck I pulled out
my ace-in-the-hole.
I stepped on the Borg's chest with my boot and emptied the Hypospray
directly into the Borg's neck. The Borg's organic eye clouded over as it
suddenly stiffened, then the convulsions started. I managed to leap clear
right before the Borg's spasams started. Some part of the Borg had to be
human, as it was shaking uncontrollably a low moan escaped it's cybernetic
jaw, gradually elscalating into a scream. As I watched the, convulsions
stopped and the Borg lay still, it's laser eyepiece dimming and
some sort of fluid leaking out of it's ear. "A horrible way to die," I
thought, "but life as a Borg is no life at all."
My idea about the Hypo came to me rather suddenly. If the cybernetic
and robotic aspects could adapt, then wouldn't the organic part be all the
more vulnerable? Also, according to the briefing we recieved after the first
Borg attack, parts of Picard's implants were taken out of his brain,
indicating that the Borg still needed the organic synapses and dendrites of a
human brain cell. I had loaded the Hypospray with a about a dozen of the
most deadliest neuro-toxins known to the Federation. While
the greater technological science of the Borg could throw force fields to
deflect phasers, adapting the cells the Borg need to survive is probably more
difficult. And while using biological weapons is frowned upon by the
Federation, desperate times call for desperate measures.
My moment of reflection cost me. The last Borg had extened a vibroblade
from it's mechanical arm and was coming at me. Before I could block, the
Borg had cut deeply into my chest and abdomen. I dropped my sword, holding
my stomach, and feeling the blood flow out of me through my fingers.

Before I could block, the Borg had cut deeply into my chest and abdomen. I
dropped my sword, holding my stomach, and feeling the blood flow out of me
through my fingers.
I stood there for a second, feeling the pain, trying to catch my breath.
I couldn't, I tried to inhale, but I coughed and spit blood instead. The cut
had pierced one of my lungs. I stood there, waiting for the death blow to
come. Then I remembered, the Borg are not given to waste lives, or take
prisoners in the classical sense. I would be assimilated into their
collective.
"Resistance is futile." the Borg droned, "Prepare to be assimilated."
The vibroblade had withdrawn into the cybernetic forearm, only to be replaced
by a claw-like pincer with a needle along the side.
"No" I said, and reached out with my hands. I grabbed at the Borg's
head, my hands slick with my own blood, but I managed to get a solid grip on
the cable running from the Borg's faceplate to it's neck. I pulled with what
little strength I had left and saw the cable spark and sizzle as it came out
of it's body. Burning pains shot through my fingertips as I held on, but I
knew that to let go would be die. Or worse. I brought the cable around,
just as the Borg's mechanical arm began to press
against my neck.
I jammed the still live wire directly into the Borg's organic eye.
The Borg shuddered, the power from the live cable coursing through it's
frame. The arm fell away from my neck, only to slam back into my collar as
the Borg's siezure racked it whole body. I let go of the wire and stepped
back, in the state I was in, I could only watch as the Borg's body was
consummed by it's own power supply. After an eternity of about half a
second, the power cut out, but the damage had been done. The Borg collapsed
onto the deck, the smell of buring flesh and insulation
reaching my nose.
I collapsed to deck myself, weak from loss of blood and probably going
into shock. I would not allow myself to die yet, I had one more thing to do.
I crawled to my discarded, leaving a trail of blood along the way, and set
the power to full. I then, as carefully as I could, I disintegrated each of
the Borg's bodies. "Wells to ...Sickbay....medical emergency on Deck 4
Section 10.......Repeat medical emer......"

Then everything went black.

"He's luky to be alive!" someone was saying. "We've got him in a partial
coma right now. If my med team had gotten there just two minutes later he
would have bled to death. He's got a moderate concussion, a fractured
collarbone, and second- and third-degree burns on his right fingers and hand.
I had to regrow parts of his intestines and stomach, seal a gash in his lung,
re-attach two severed ribs and close a half meter long laceration along his
back, plus the three and a half pints of blood and
plasma we had to replace just to keep him stabalized. Not to mention the
dozens of other cuts and contusions all along his body from the fighing. I
don't......."
Well, at least I was going to live. But more importantly, I had fought
and stopped the Borg.
I tried to listen to the Chief Medical Officer's, I tried to listen to
whom she was talking to, but I felt so grogy. It must be the drugs they had
given me to control the pain, as it was I still felt pinpricks of sharpness
in my stomach everytime I tried to move. I tried to sit up, to ask them how
the battle had gone, but I was too weak. I tried to open my eyes, to see who
was talking about me, but they felt so heavy and imobile. I struggled to
remain awake, to give my report to the Captain, but
from what I had heard, I had been wounded too badly. I stopped fighting,
knowing that I had been victorious, and gradually slipped back into
unconsciousness.

Being the Medical Officer's assistant I don't really ever find
out what happens until later and then I then it is exaggerated.
First of Sandy, Dikeani, and me went looking for wounded. We
found several on Decks 8 and 5. We brought them back to Sickbay
for treatment. Sandy went to the bridge to tend to the Captain who's
arm was blown off. Me and Nurse Dikeani went about treating the
injured. Another crew member walked in with a broken arm saying
that he was injured. I went over to help him and he said he wanted
the CMO not some Ensign. Me and Dikeani reminded him that he
didn't have a choice. He finally let me treat him after Dikeani threatened
him. I wasn't until a couple of days after that I was able to hear what
really happened out side of Sickbay. It appears that the saucer section
was battling the Borg ship with the rest of the fleet. While the Drive
section was inside of the Borg ship. Several crew members took tactical
fighter wings out. We lost some people but most of them made it back.
Somehow the Drive Section got out of the Borg Cube before the ship
blew up.

After fighting borg for an hour or so I finally have a rest to do my
logs. We
began this mission with a one-on-one fight with the borg. The crew split up
into groups. One on the saucer section and the other on the drive section.
I was on the saucer. When we dropped out of warp we fired with everything we
have. The the shields were knocked out in the saucer section and borg started
beaming over.
They attacked us brutally. We fended off their attack with many casualites.
None of the bridage or sickbay crew died but many others did. I left the
bridge for sickbay with Lt. Sandy. Once there I had to fight off sommore
borg. The Sandy told me to go to deck 3 to tend to an injured crew member. I
took him back to sickbay and went to deck 7 to help Sandy with another crew
member. We brought two crew members back to sickbay to find a borg standing
over the other patient. I killed the borg with one of
the three knifes I always carry. I went over to check the crew member when
he attacked me. I killed him with my phaser as he was not yet a full borg.
The Caption and 2 other crew members left in tactial fighters to attack the
borg ship.
I hope they make it back alive.I must go now for Sandy has found some more
injured.

disappearance of Capt. Zier on the Stealth...and my appointment as thier new

now-I'm going to be in for my comission.
Oh well. Nothing to do but tough it out! It's going to be a real whack to
the nostalgia circuits to go back there. Even though so much has happened.
It's not even the same ship. Although it's officers are. Except just higher
in rank. Wonder if I can control 'em still...::makes a wry smile:: It'll be
good to see the ol' crew again.
Which reminds me, I'm going to spend my leftover time here saying goodbye to

Anyway, the Halifax has all systems go. We've survived a direct attack by

Captain Aarek Dakor was sitting quietly at his desk signing the final load
of paperwork for his ship. He was not having a good day. With the massive
punch the Borg delivered, Sickbay and Security were still trying to help the
survivors...as well as find the deceased. The damge was not just to the ship
too, with a good portion of the fleet in serious need of repair and new
officers coming in, Aarek was having a ball keeping it all straight. And with
his XO suddenly going, he was going to have to do this
alone.
He wondered why Starfleet had decided to have them both go. Could a ship
really have two Captians? The Romulans did something like that not too long
ago...but then we weren't Romulans were we? Aarek thought. The actual reason
both of the Halifax's XOs were leaving however soon hit the Captain's head.
Dakor remembered that Alpha was choosing a career in Starfleet Academy, as a
First Year Instructor. Good for Al. Bad for the cadets. Aarek wondered why
he had skipped that little decision of Alpha's just
then. Too tired, he thought.
His doorchime rang. And Aarek looked up from the vacant stare he'd been
engrossed in a little too fast. Some spots on the end of his eye blood
vessels started hitting his eyes, and the symbiont no doubt too was shaken by
the sudden change of thought. "Enter." he said. Way too tired, he thought.
"Hey Aarek."A familiar voice said.
Dakor looked at the door and knew he wasn't seeing double. Alpha stood
silently next to Beta at the entrance of the Ready Room, the Android being
slightly fidgety.
"Sean. What can I do for you?" He asked a bit more awake.
Beta spoke up first. "Aarek. I'm sorry about this sudden transfer. I know I
accepted it but-"
Aarek interrupted. "Hey, it's an opportunity. I would have done the same
thing. Hell, I did do the same thing." Beta stopped, smiled sadly, and
stepped aside a little.
Alpha came around the Android with a small red package. He presented it to
Aarek almost ceremoniously. "Captain, a going-away gift."
Aarek raised an eyebrow. He took the package slowly. "Isn't it supposed to
be the other way around?"
Alpha gave a look at Beta while the Android smiled toothily. "Knew something
was wrong..."
Dakor shook his head and and gave a smile. "Thanks, you guys."
"No problem." Beta said. Alpha nodded.
"I don't think I wanna open it just yet tho. I think I'll wait for you two
to leave...it might be a bomb." The Trill teased.
"It is certainly a good gift..." Alpha, unaware of the sarcasm, announced.
"Or were you speaking rhetorically?"
Beta shook his head and extended a hand to Aarek. The two shook hands
firmly, where Dakor then gave the same gesture to Alpha.
"Congratulations Captain."
"Thank you, Captain." The two said, almost in unison. Beta continued alone
however, "Runabout's already rigged. I've left a gift in everybody's
quarters..."
Aarek laughed.
"Yeah. It's departure time." The Android continued, feeling a bit dumb about
getting the tradition wrong. "You wanna see me out or will I escape alone?"
"Of course I'll see you out." The Trill answered brightly.
The three Captains left the Ready Room, headed to the Shuttlebay to greet
each other and the rest of the crew farewell. Sitting on each of thier desks
however, were the two Seans' gifts to every crewmember. It hadn't cost them
a replicator credit tho. It was a fairly far-fetched gift both had
constructed quickly but ruggedly. And it fit the guise and preference of just
about everyone on the ship.
Everyone now had their own personal talking doll.

End. (Early Merry Xmas All;D)

Tarjoto had just gone through an insultingly short judicial ruling under the
power of Judge Neryl Eto, and frankly, he had had enough.
The judge had declared to him her decision, in the same impersonal fashion
"he" was "promoted" by Admiral Clements-through a standard Starfleet desktop
terminal. Tarjoto was not only the granted full power and privilege of his
"parents", as they put it, but also the same assignment, and current mission.
"Planting doubletrees.." Sean muttered to himself moments after the computer
console reverted to a null incoming messages mode; the standard blue-themed
Federation emblem. He was just getting used to this new body of his...hell,
new processor. And now they were throwing the full weight of a starship on
him.
In addition the dalmation he, or rather Alpha, had adopted was nowhere to be
found. They had presumed the unnamed canine had perished in the highly
destructive explosion aboard the Geneva, as nearly half of the runabout was
half-salvageable duranium crunchy stuff. Sean hadn't recalled ever finding
the time to give it a name though. Perhaps that was for the best...
Putting aside the new weight responsibility and death of his dog and
individual counterparts, Captain Tarjoto stood up from the desk console and
looked around his ready room. It was still somewhat adjusted to the personal
attitude of the previous captain, and with nothing, nothing not half-burnt
that is, to unpack, it looked like it was going to stay this way. Unless Sean
did something about it, of course.
He scratched his forehead. It was apparently some way to more manually
alleviate sensor problems. Must be program compatibility. He thought. Or
maybe something bit me...

After I was safely beamed back to the Halifax (and regained my senses after

damage we and the newly arrived fleet was substantial. The Borg cube had
suffered severe damage, and was in the process of being destroyed. Shortly
before the cube exploded, an “escape pod” if you will, ejected from the
cube’s superstructere, to further the attack on Earth. After a little bit of
pleading, Brad and I took two Pulsar class runabouts (The
USS Amazon and the USS Cheese{?}) out to try to destroy the more sparsley
defended sphere. Brad and I emptied our quantum torpedoe supply onto the
borg ship within the first five minutes, and volcanoes of fire were already
erupting on the sphere, which made manuevering paticurly hazardous. Brad was
in the middle of an attack run, when he go to close to the sphere, and was
zapped by a really, really big electrical bolt, and went boom. I do believe
the electricity knocked out his judgment, because he
tried to regain control of a runabout who’s warp core was in the process of
cranking itself out. By something no short of a miracle, he regained control
and we continued our attack run.

He/she said that I "hit" her but I didn't. Sean2 left to comfort Sandy and I

My assignment to the USS Halifx was a dream come true for this Trill. I
had heard many things about this fine ship and crew. However, this
workaholic was disappointed to see that our first mission was to relax.
It took me awhile, but I came in contact with several of the crew. I
assisted Lt(j.g.) Wells in setting up llights across the hull of the ship.
It seemed I didn't know what I was doing, so I abandoned that project.
While we were out there, walking the hull of my new post, (something I
did not expect) a strange this happened. We started a snowball fight. This
fight began on the hull of the ship and resulted in several crew members
joining in. Further, it ended up inside the ship in Six Forward.
Then my commanding officer called me to arrest one of the ensigns who
was created havoc. Upon reaching Ensign Yavin in Six Forward, he attempted
to bribe me with the offer of a drink. I was astounded and placed him in
custody.

Now...what do Armadillos like to eat? Bugs probably... Where could I find
bugs?

:::Runs up to the arbouretum with a butterfly net, and comes back a halfhour
later with several large beetles
with piculiar markings on them somewhat similar to...:::

Oh Crap!!!

:::The beetles open thier wings and unleash several spores, which land in the
toilet:::

:::Leo starts growling and Mr Fuzzy starts hissing, while Squidgy looks
around confused and a strange gurgly mumble comes from the toilet as several
Borgified cheese wedges emerge:::

-We are the Cheese. You will be assimilated into the Cheeder Collective.
Resistence is futile-

AAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:::Squidgy, now very alarmed, jumps up and down wildly and curls up in his
shell as the cheese start marching:::

-Resistence is futile-

CHARGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:::Leo ferociously clamps onto a wedge, mangles it , and messily devoures the
wedge:::

:::Mr Fuzzy jumps on Squidgy and rolls him over a few wedges, flatening three
of them :::

YE-HAA!!!! :::stomps on a few blocks of stale cheeder, and melts another one
with his phaser:::

:::Leo leaps on another wedge, and cracks a tooth on the adapted exo-skelten,
and whipers off:::

ACK!!!! :::more wedges leap out of the toilet::: -Resistence is futile.
Heat increase will not affect us-

This is bad!! :::Squidgy and Mr Fuzzy roll right over one, with the wedge
not suffering a dent:::

Well, I must say an encounter like the one we had is probably unique in Star
Fleet history. We responded to a distress call, that Starbase 17 was bieng
taken over by a race called the Sant’as. Several of the Sant’as pet, called
the Reinde’er (?) beamed aboard the ship. I then decided to go Reinde’er
hunting, which I had not done since...never. I proceeded to strap various
weapons to my body, that were probably likely to to make a drunk Klingon
jealous (no offence). Among these were a rack of photon
grenades, two compression phaser rifle, six Type two phasers, and a machete.
The only weapon I used, however, was
“Betty Lou”, a combination AK-57, double barreled, telescopic, heat seeking
shotgun/disruptor. Donner, Dancer, Prancer, and Vixen were immediatly
vaporized into the next time continuum, when they made the costly mistake of
breathing. Comet and Cupid were tricky little devils, but I finally managed
to blow several large holes in them. Dasher, Blitzen, and Rudolph were
especially fun because they thought they could make a

After systematicaly obliterating all of the Reinde’ers, the assistants of the
feared Sant’as, I smelled something created by god for outdoor magazines. I
turned around. And there it was. The turty point buck. My grenade launcher
was in the shop, so my only hope was Betty Lou, a combination telescopic,
rifle action, heatseeking shotgun/disruptor. It appeared to weigh almost Two
thousand pounds. I fired Betty Lou, but the recoil from that bad boy pitched
me out the window. I grabbed a Enviromental
suit on my way out, and noticed several million blinky lights all over the
ship. I also noticed Ens Jade stringing them, and she hadn’t noticed me.
What I had was an opportunity the size of...something really big. I took my
back up grenade launcher, and loaded it with several cans of Pickled Herring.
I fired and the preserved fish splattered, creating a not-so-preatty sight.
Unfortunatly, I failed to consider the consequinces of my actions, because,
as it so happend, Ens Jade was sporting some mean
cans of pink snow. We proceeded to exchange fire, floating about the ship.
In the end, we were so covered in Pink Snow and Herring, it would have taken
a professional profiler to recognize us. When I came back on the ship, there
was quite a nasty snowball fight going on. Ducking here and there, I managed
to avoid the cross fire reasonably well, and got off a few good shots of my
own.

Hutch Rekoob sat in his quarters going over the specs of the Halifax, and
assembling his Duty Log.
"I have so much information to catch up on, its not funny." He said into his
log entry.
"I read about this kind of ship in school. They were extremely useful in all
types of stellar activities. I just never knew or thought that I would be
assigned to such an antique ship. In my universe that is. In my universe,
this ship is quite an antique. About 300 standard Arretian years old. That
was how old they were when I left my time. Now they are closer to 295 years
old; Arret standard time."

See, Hutch is from another universe, which runs parrallel but in mirror
reflection to this universe. This puts a damper on his mental usage, because
he knows things and techniques that have yet to be discovered or invented.
And he can not use them because it would be a violation of the Prime
Directive in which he vowed to hold in his native universe, and the universe
he presently resided in. Apparently it was hard for the Terrans to
understand the way of his universe, so to make it easier on them,
Hutch, living for 17 years, at the time of his arrival to this universe, had
told the people of this universe that his birth date was that date equal to
someone of 17 years old from this universe, but in his time, that would be
the date that he would "die". He was growing "younger" in his older time,
but now, with the onset of this universe's natural time-continum, Hutch was
growing "older" but infact, aging closer to the age in which he was born. He
had 17 years of life left, now, it is almost
impossible to realize that he has a lifetime left.. at least for him. He
has his life to live over again. Many people wish to have "youth" over
again. And now Hutch had that everlasting wish. And he did not want it.

Hutch sat at his computer consol, realizing that he had his entire life over
again; that he was growing older, not younger, as he was supposed to
according to his natural universe's law.

His soal mission for the rest of his life, short or long, was to find a way
home, away from this alternate universe that was cheating him of age, and
knowledge.

"End log." Hutch said, as he shut off his monitor, got out of his chair and
headed for the bedroom section of his cabin.
