The USS Eclipse was launched today, and I must say what a spectacular
ship it is. We all arrived here today after the christening, and were put
immediately to work.
The Eclipse's first mission was to investigate the the Hubble Sattelite
complex that starfleet had lost contact with. When we arrived on the seen,
it had seemed as though someone attacked them, but when we brought them on
board, we realized that the Sattelite transmisions were actually redirected
to another location. As of where, we still don't know
I am on my way to Sick Bay were we are about to beam over an alien that
the ships counsler located on one of the telescopes... He seems to be
injured, but the consler said that it was a humanoid lifeform.

The USS Eclipse was launched today from star base Horizon. We all
boarded the ship after the great christening celebration. AS soon as we were
on board the USF sent us on our first mission to investigate the Hubble
Sattelite Complex, which the USF had lost contact with.
After we found it, it was damaged significantly. We pulled one telescope
into cargobay one, and the other into cargobay two. Commander Zinnius and
myself went to cargobay one, while the captain and First Lieutenant Tanok
took cargobay two.
We stopped off at sickbay to pick up a suit, where the captain and the first
lieutenant soon joined us. We finished putting on our suits and headed to the
cargobay. I began to scan the damaged sattelite, and the readings turned up
not good. I walked back over to the main control panel, and carefully opened
it.

BEGIN DUTY LOG
We launched the USS Eclipse today. First we had a ceremony. Many people
stopped by to lend their congratulations, including my friend, Rear Admiral
Dar Mstrad (Commanding Officer of the USS Darkpath). I threw the bottle of
champagne to launch the Christening. First Lieutenant Frank, a friend of
mine from the USS Potemkin, was on hand to induce the crew to launch a
Gatorade attack on me (to “celebrate” the launching of my ship). When the
ceremony was finished, I ordered everyone to be beamed aboard.

I started off by introducing everyone. Since we had no helms person, I had
Commander Zinnius take the helm. He did an excellent job at piloting
Starfleet’s newest vessel out of Starbase Horizon (which is not by Earth -
much closer to DS9). I then had Zinnius pilot the starship to the Gailus
Nebula. Our first mission is to repair the Hubble-74 System of Satellite
Telescopes. It sounded fairly easy. We arrived in due time. I had Ensign
Hobson tractor the first satellite telescope in to Cargo Bay
One. I then ordered Hobson and Zinnius to go down there to examine it. Dr.
Jana suggested that they wear environmental suits because there was a
possibility of some type of harmful contamination. I concurred with her
assessment. The second satellite telescope was nearby, and I ordered First
Lieutenant Tanok to tractor that one in to Cargo Bay Two. Tanok and myself
went to examine this one (getting environmental suits on first, of course).
Both teams arrived in their respective Cargo Bays to examine their respective
damaged satellite telescopes. Both satellite telescopes had similar damage.
It was immediately evident that there was minor phaser damage. Upon further
examination of the innards, it was also obvious why Starfleet was no longer
receiving any sort of signal what-so-ever from these satellite telescopes -
someone had actually sabotaged them. Wires were cut. Some were crossed and
re-directed.

Meanwhile, our counselor (Ellen) detected an alien presence near our
starship. She was able to determine that the alien was a Lunarian (a species
which is not native to the Alpha Quadrant). This Lunarian did possess
emotions, and Ellen was able to sense that he/she had been abandoned -
deliberately left behind. I ordered the alien be beamed into a containment
field in Sickbay. Frank was back from punt-land, so I had Tanok leave the
Cargo Bay to provide the security detachment for the alien in
Sickbay, and Frank would take his place in Cargo Bay Two with me to finish
examining the second satellite telescope.

Frank and company began repair on the sabotaged sattelites today. We also
had a run in with a corellian pirate ship. I have fought the corellians
before and they probably determined ship's strength so they would know how
many buddies to round up to steal it. Leaves many questions. On a personal
note I wish to apologize to Jimmy for shooting him in the leg with an AK-47.
I will buy you a drink at ten forward. (Of course he exploded a thermal
grenade on me too)

BEGIN DUTY LOG
We continued work on repairing the Hubble-74 System of Satellite Telescopes
(two of which we had beamed aboard). Zinnius and Hobson were still in Cargo
Bay One. Kuvek joined them. The three were able to get the satellite
repaired, and they were able to send it back out. Also, Wit discovered that
this satellite had been tampered with by Corellian Pirates.

Frank discovered the same thing with his satellite. Frank was assisted by
guest simmer USFClewan (Commander Clewan, First Officer of the USS
Roddenberry). They were in Cargo Bay Two with another satellite. They were
able to get a lot of work done, and they discovered many things. Hopefully,
we will get detailed logs from them on these!

Meanwhile, an alien was beamed to Sickbay. Ellen, Jana, and Troi were there.
I also had Chief Of Security Jimmy there, too, as is protocol for bring in
unknown aliens aboard the ship. This alien turned out to be a pregnant,
female Lunarian. She was apparently kidnapped by the Corellians and forced
to work for them. They abandoned her. It was quite fortunate for her that
we beamed her aboard. The apparent stress and trauma (both physical and
mental) that she has gone through has resulted in her
going in to premature labor.

My first day of active duty was buy today. I was helping Ensign Hobson
and Cdr. Zinnius repair a telescope. My experience in the engineering field
payed off some in the repair of said sattelite. I was placed with the duty
of repairing a leaking solar battery. At first I patched it, but then it was
discovered that a replacement was available, so it was replaced. Ensign
Hobson repaired the rest of the sattelite. We then placed it back in orbit.
When Ensign Hobson and I returned to the bridge to
view the sattelite, it was found to be releasing large doses of nutron
radiation. It is unknown at this time what the cause of the radiation is.

The mystery behind the sattelites is finally unraveling... We beamed
over the alien from one of the sattelites which turned out to be a female
lunarian who was about to go into labor. She said that the Corellian Pirates
were forcing her to work for them, and that they were redirecting the
sattelites to a an unknown place.
I was put on guard duty to watch the Lunarian, and made sure she did
not get violent, when the good Doctors forced me to wait outside because I
was scaring her. So, I gladly left the presence of a Lunarian about to give
birth.
Engineering, Ensign Hobson, and Commander Zinnius were working hard in
the cargo bays to repair the broken sattelites, and so far have repaired 2.
They were able to take off the bio suits due to no biological danger was
found.
Meanwhile on the bridge, the Eclipse had a run in with a Corelian
Pirate ship (No match for the superior weopons and defense of a ship of our
high standards). The ship ran away when it realised that it had no chance of
winning in a one on one dogfight, my guess is that he'll be back for more
with some friends.

+++++ In Cargo Bay One +++++
Deck Four

Zinnius is standing behind the Main Cargo/Shuttle bay control console
waiting for his next duty shift. With a glass of Raspberry iced tea in hand,
he glances over the new bay controls. "Oh, this is nice, " he remarks while
pushing an unfamiliar pad.

WARNING WARNING
Bay restraint field will be lowered in 60 seconds
Step behind the control console for containment fields
WARNING WARNING

"EXCELLENT now when the restraining field is being lowered. The
containment field is automaticly raised. No more forgeting to raise the
field, " Zinnius smiles. " Well I think I got the Captain excited enough for
today. Time to raise the restraint field, " Zinnius chuckles as he presses
the same pad again. The Bay is quiet.

" There all better. I'll read the manuals before playing with any other
unfamiliar pads, " Zinnius decides. Taking a seat on the small stool behind
the console. He continues with his tea. Zinnius feels a slight vibration
comming from his CommBadge. Tapping it, he answers. " What is it Katie?"

"It's almost time for your next duty and you haven't ate nor have you
filed your logs," informs Katie.

" Ahhhh thats right. Open Duty log. I'm on my way." Zinnius trots to
the lift and enters. " Deck Two"

Duty Log StarDate: 9703.19

Begin Log:

We recently brought aboard two heavely damaged satallites. While
another team worked on one. Ensigns Hobson and Kuvek along with myself
worked on the other. The sat was discovered by Hobson to be damaged in the
Solar Battery, Memory core, and a few other places. I removed the memory
board and repaired it while the ensigns repaired or replaced the other
damage. The solar battery was beyond repair. So it had to be replaced.
Attaching the memory board back in the satillite, I discovered some
interesting information. It seems the satillite frequency and direction of
the sending signals was that of Corellion priates. After imforning the
Captain of the news. The satillite was tractered back into space. Zinnius
out.

" There is one slight problem with the log. "
" Which is what? " asks Zinnius comming out of the lift and heads toward
his quarters.
" It seems the Satillite solar battery has a bad casing..It's leaking
radiation and Captain Shodan has ordered it back into CB1."
Zinnius mumbles something as he enters the living room. "Then I'll
replace the battery myself durning the next duty. But first things first,"
comments Zinnius as he heads for the replicater.......................

The commander, the other assistent science officer, (Ensign Kuvek) and
myself finished the damage report on the satallite. The results turned up
saying the following was damaged: the senser lenses were cracked, the memory
recoils were burnt out, the circuitry to the main computer core, and the
most inportant was the solar battery was leaking.
Ensign Kuvek and my self started on repairs. It was a hard task, but all the
damage was repaired as best as we could do with the equipment on board.The
solar battery was replaced, and we sent the satellite back out into space.
The commander found out where the unknown singnals were coming from, and
notified the captain, while Kuvek and my self went back to the bridge.
Kuvek started to scan the satallite, and I transfered the results to my
monitor. When the final results came in, it was clear the new solar
battery was leaking, and giving off a high concentration of thermal
radiation. I locked a tractor beam on to it, and started to pull it back into
cargobay one. We put a high level force field around the bay, and finished
draging it back in.

Being a captain of a Federation starship certainly involves a lot of
paperwork. There are many things I have to keep track of. I must keep track
of who reports for their duty shift (as well as who doesn’t). I must also
make notes on who shows up late for their duty shifts. And then I must keep
track of all logs that are written. Each officer is required to write one
duty log and one sim log each week. I must keep track of every log written
(both duty and personal) and properly attribute each log to
the correct person. All of this information is necessary to determine which
people might be eligible for promotions. I’m thinking of being rather harsh
with promotions. I seriously doubt that I will even consider promoting
someone who has only met the minimum standards for promotion. In addition to
logs and attendance, performance is an extremely important criteria in
determining promotions. So, in summation, things that I will consider for
promotions include the quality of an officer’s
performance, attendance (including tardiness and absent without
notification), number and quality of duty logs written by the officer, and
the number and quality of personal logs written by the officer.

We have discovered a disguised Corellian Mine Field and a Corellian Listening
Post. I moved close in a shuttle to investigate and was attacked by the
listening post. The Eclipse is moving in to force a surrender. The
corellians are using fusion beam technology, developed by the extinct Hydran
Empire. Could cause serious problems. Long range sensors have also picked
up a fleet of 30 corellian ships and 150 fighters massing 23 parsecs away.

After a brief stint in The Chair while Cpt. Shodan was in the cargo bay with
the damaged telescopes, I was called to Sickbay to help with the alien being
beamed aboard. She is a Lunarian female and pregnant. At the time of this
log, she is in the final stages of labor and about to give birth any moment
now. When she was beamed aboard, she was very agitated and appeared violent.
F'Seka was mainly frightened and confused. She was upset by all the commotion
going on with the security officers. We soon saw
that she was a peaceful, gentle creature and that she posed no danger. She
is a scientist on her homeworld Lunares. A crew of Corellian pirates came to
Lunares claiming to be on a research mission to gather technological
information on the Hubble Telescope Array. After receiving permission to
assist the Corellians, she boarded their ship. Upon arrival at the Hubble
array, the Corellians apparently opened fire to destroy the telescopes. When
F'Seka tried to stop them, they abandoned her on they crippled
array and vowed vengeance--they would come back to steal her newborn son and
kill her. It is fortunate that we arrived when we did. The trauma caused her
to go into premature labor. Dr. JanaV, Ens L Troi and I are helping with the
delivery. I'm glad I have a strong Klingon hand--persons in labor, no matter
what species, have an awfully powerful grip!

BEGIN DUTY LOG
I received two new recruits tonight. Actually, one of the new recruits was
supposed to have shown up two weeks ago, but he was unavoidably detained.
Further details on that are classified. The other new recruit is Ensign Pax,
a Bajoran male, whom I assigned to medical because he said please.

We continued our mission where we left off last week. Team One was in Cargo
Bay One, while Team Two was in Cargo Bay Two. Both teams were repairing
their satellite telescopes (part of the Hubble-74 System of Satellite
Telescopes). Team One was soon done, and I instructed those officers to head
to Cargo Bay Two and help prod Team Two along. In addition to our Guest
Chief Engineer First Lieutenant Frank, we were delighted to have the
assistance of Guest Engineer Commander Clewan. Somewhere along the
way, an NPC by the name of Ensign Wit came along to help.

Meanwhile, in Sickbay, our guest alien Lunarian, F'Seka, finally delivered
her baby. She had a healthy baby boy, which she named Bubba (Bubba is a very
respected name in her clan). F’Seka had many qualified attendants waiting on
her. Our chief medical officer, Dr. Jana was assisted by Counselor Ellen,
Ensign Pax, and a guest simmer, Ensign Sala D.

While all of this excitement was going on, I had our chief tactical and chief
security officers (Brand and Jimmy, respectively) head out in a shuttle to
look for further signs of sabotage by the Corellian Pirates. Of course, they
found some. Although whether or not they were able to neutralize all of the
sabotage that they found is another thing.

0057 hours

Recently having returned to active duty, I have been assigned by
Starfleet's Galatic Exploration Command division to the USS Eclipse, a newly
commissioned Sovereign-class starship. I haven't had much time to evaluate
the vessel's amenities, but I've been assured they are pleasing. What have I
been doing with my time? Besides adjusting to starship life, assisting in
perhaps the one miracle that even the most powerful of forces cannot deny.
Birth.
This evening as my shift began, I was quickly brought up to date by Dr.
Jana V on a new paitent's current status. It seems that we'd recently taken
on board an alien woman who's pregnacy had quicken, and labor had already
begun. Performing my own scans I found the woman's temperal lobes to be
active, and the chemicals therein typical of an empathic race. Although I am
unsure of the extent of these abilities, I found them to be rather
interesting.
Counselor Ellen was on hand for F'Seka's birthing, as she served as an
invaluble coach. My main assignment during this time was to ready the
incubator for the baby who was coming without much stalling. Unsure of how
far the baby has come along at this stage, I adjusted the unit to accept
commands form the tricorder based upon the readings I was receiving during
the birthing. I fuond that the nutrionic fluids would have to be adjusted to
compensate the baby's high need for iron in the blood stream.
I found that to be true of the mother as well, and have suggested it to Dr.
Jana V during feeding times.
Having seen the baby as he was born, I found myself curiously wondering
about things. He was a cute little boy, and sure to be the pride and joy of
his mother. Shortly there after I finished up for the doctor in removed the
ombilical cord and remaining contents, placing them into containers for later
examination. Normally this is not protocol, as the doctor pointed out, but
what better way to get a medical file on her race. This is an incredible
chance to understand much more than the usual first
contact. Not to mention if the child, who's name I have learned to be
Bubba, needs anything I can hopfully anticapate the need before it arises.

"Open, begin."

Begin duty log:

A slab of white milk chocolate in the shape of an easter bunny stands in
the middle of Zinnius's table. Resting his chin on his hands; Zinnius stares
at the tasty bunny's pink eyes.

" The duty began with me tractering in the satellite with the leaking
new solar battery. The cause of the leak was a micro crack in the battery
casing. Once the satellite was aboard, I replaced the battery with one with
a solid casing. The satellite is now back at station and should last until a
Federation maintenance crew arrives. After assigning Ensign Wit to the
clean-up. I went to Cargo Bay two to see if Clewan and his crew needed any
help with their satellite. As it turned out. They were
just about finished and my assistance was not required. Seems the our
tactical officer finds trouble. Wether he looks for it or just finds it. But
it seems a group of pirate ships is on the way towards us. Zin out.

Zinnius reaches and breaks off the bunnies left ear. " Tasty, " he says
with a month full of the chocolate. "I still wonder how a bunny got connected
to a major human religious holiday. For that matter, how did a tree get
connected to the other major holiday? " Zinnius, staring at the now deformed
bunny, continues to ponder his question.....

Duty Log
Tonight I continued to work in sickbay. F'Seka was in the end stages of
labor and delivered her baby, a boy named Bubba. Bubba is a highly respected
name in the Lunarian culture. I assisted the medical personnel with the
delivery as the official "hand squeezee." F'Seka has a killer grip--I'm
thankful that Klingons are built with very strong hands!
F'Seka seemed to be much calmer. She was able to focus on delivering her
baby and not so much on the threats of the Corellian pirates. The delivery
went well. At first, she was really anxious to push, but the baby wasn't
ready yet. I coached her in breathing. The medical staff works very well
together. I'm honored to be working with such a fine group of doctors.

BEGIN DUTY LOG
There was only one satellite telescope of the Hubble-74 System of Satellite
Telescopes left to be repaired. I assigned Commander Zinnius, First
Lieutenant Frank, and Ensign Hobson to finish the repairs. Guest simmer Jay
joined us briefly. I assigned him both tactical and security, in the absence
of First Lieutenants Brand and Jimmy. Jay’s task was to upgrade the
Federation Defense net around the Hubble-74 System of Satellite Telescopes to
withstand any further attacks by Corellian Pirates.

Doctor Jana and Counselor Ellen continued examining F’Seka and Baby Bubba in
Sickbay. Jana determined that F’Seka was well enough to be released and
suggested that Ellen take F’Seka on a brief tour of the Eclipse.

The repair team soon had the last satellite telescope completely repaired and
launched it back in to its proper orbit.

The Eclipse then got underway for Lunares, to deliver our two guests back to
their home. In no time at all, the Eclipse arrived at the planet Lunares.
We were hailed by Simtar, a Lunarian male. I explained our purpose for being
there. Simtar was delighted to learn that we had F’Seka. It turns out that
she is next in line for the thrown. Apparently, her family had been ruling
Lunares for the past 1,200 cycles. Before F’Seka left, she requested to
speak with me. She said, “Captain, for meritorious
service above and beyond the call of duty, I dub you Knight of the Round
Table of Lunares!” I was honored. Simtar provided us with transport
coordinates, and it was time for F’Seka and Baby Bubba to go home, but not
before Ellen presented her with a “designer Eclipse travel bag with the
crew's gifts for {her} and Bubba.”

I first started off by hurring down to help the commander finish the
repairs on the damage sattalite. When i arrived the repairs were finished and
the commander grashusly let me retract it from the ship and put it into
propor orbit. Once in the proper orbit i was sent back to the brige to inform
the capton. Once back at the science station i ran a dianostic scan of the
sattalite. A few minets latter the resalts came in, resolting in the sattalit
perfectly clear, but to be sure I looked over them two
more times. We then set corse for the alian's home world. On rute to their
planet i ran a systom check of the science station. Resolts came up, and
their were no flows in the system. I loged the checks into the sytoem and
relaxed ontile we arived at the planet. Once we arived the alians were droped
off and we set cours for our patral.

This has been a busy time. While on a mission to to repair the hubble
telescopes, an alien was encountered. She was transported to the ship, in
apparently excellent physical condition. One minor detail, she was about to
give birth.
Very little is known about the lunarians. Our data banks have been
useless
in providing any information about the particular needs of these people. The

Counselor has been, as always, very helpful in communicating with the alien.
Although Troi was unavoidably detained, a new assistant has risen, from the
ranks. Ensign Pax was able to provide excellent support, and together; the
Counselor, Pax, F'Seka (the alien), and I delivered, alive and healthy a baby
boy. F'Seka has named the child Bubba. I am now concerned with returning
them to their homeland. It is my belief that there are essential needs of
all people to be with those who are like themselves, and can furnish them
with the support of their own cultures.

Begin log:

With the first satellite finished and in orbit. I finished what little
repair that was left on the second one. Having just completed the repairs
when Hobson arrived. I had him tracter it back out and set its orbit. That
task accomplised. Hobson left to inform the Captain and left me with the
clean-up. 8~).
Having finished straightening the Cargobay, I went to the bridge and
layed in a course to Lanares when a pirate ship arrived, wanted the
satellites, and started to threaten us. Bad choice on his part.
However, not wanting to risk injuring our guest and the newborn. The
Captain made a wise choice and decided to inform the 10 other Starfleet ships
in the area. Once they were informed we went to Lunares.
Once there we learned that our guest was a princess and the next in line
to the throne of Lanares. For the fine work Captain Shodan had done she was
made a knight of Lanares.
At the shifts end we're still in orbit. Preparing for our next mission.

Our orders from Starfleet Headquarters were to go to sector 1.5. This sector
was one on the first to be explored after Zefram Cochran discovered warp
drive. There is nothing new to see. However, an unknown derelict ship was
scanned by the USS Marquesas. Because the Marq was carrying vital med
supplies to Aberton, it could not investigate the ship. The Eclipse is the
next closest. Therefore, we have been assigned to investigate. Guest
simmers Frank and Clewan ran Engineering. We had a guest
assistant in medical, Noria.

I welcomed guest simmers Noria and Clewan before turning over command of the
ship to Zinnius. Zinnius assigned Ensign Queeg to take both Ops and Helm.
In no time, we arrived at the appointed sector. Hobson (science officer) was
in charge of scanning the area for the derelict ship. He immediately found
it. However, its configurations did not appear in our database. Ellen tried
to find life form readings. Clewan discovered that this ship’s power
emissions were on the absolute minimum. There was no
life support, no warp core emissions, and no propulsion. There were some
energy readings near the aft bulkhead of the cargo bay. After accessing
historical databases, Hobson finally determined that the ship was at least
200 years old and was lost about four years after Cochrane discovered the
warp drive.

Zinnius arranged for an away team to enter our Shuttle Tiberius. Members of
the away team included: Frank, Jimmy (who was having an identity crisis as
Tanok), Troi, and Jon. They docked with the derelict ship and went aboard,
wearing environmental suits, of course, since there was no environment (i.e.
breathable air) aboard the derelict.

Troi and Jimmy went to Sickbay, while Frank and Jon went to Engineering.
Troi and Jimmy discovered a long cylinder against the far wall. There was a
small computer located next to this cylinder. They tried to activate the
computer. A multi-colored apple appeared on the computer screen. It looked
like a bite was taken out of the apple.

Today was another one of those routine days, but I 'm working with yet
another science assistent named Ensgin DDoyer. First I was working alone,
keeping the trator beam in order, then DDoyer chose to be a science
assistent, and I was showing him the routine operation of a science officer.

Towards the end of my shift, Ensgin DDoyer and myself tratored the old ship
into one of the cargo bays of the USS Eclipse. We both grabbed a personal
type two phaser, and headed down towards the cargo bay where we met up with
the captain. The captain lead us up the docking ramp and into the doorway of
the ship. DDoyer and me had our phasers ready to back up the captain if we
ran into any trouble.

ECLIPSE MISSION BRIEFING
for mission to take place on Stardate 9704.21

We are going to assist in colonizing a Class M planet named Cerin that has
recently been terra-formed. There will be land-based operations as well as
aquatic operations. We will divide our teams in to two groups for this.
Group One will be on land. Group Two will be under water. Each group will
be fairly evenly split (i.e. will have the same number of representatives
from Engineering, Medical, Science, and Security). Other Federation people
arrived there two weeks ago, but they need our help - the
kind of help only a great crew (that we are!) can provide.

The Secuirty and Tactical officers will be on constant patrol for
animal/predator life. Their goal is to keep the humanoids safe but not to
kill/destroy the native animal or plant life. They are to protect without
causing damage.

Science and Engineering will assist in making certain newly built structures
are up to specs, and helping to rectify anything that isn’t. Engineering
will also start to build more temporary structures.

Medical and Science will assist in qualifying the native species (plant and
animal). One important point would be for them to determine what plant life
is edible, and what isn’t. Same could be applied to animal life.

Today was a interusting day. I was with CaptShodans group(the Aqua
group...YES!!) and we split up. Me and FstLTBrand (Who was sooo nice that he
even offered to let me drive the shuttle) and Shodan, Stan, FstLtValdyr,
DDoyer. Me and Brand were in the shuttle while Shodan and Company were out
swimming. Today I Helped out the Captain by Getting her a new Jelly Fish for
her collection. Also I tried to Shoot a Jelly fish that was stinging Stan
but it did not work. I stunned a Sand shark to frighten him
off so he would not hut the Shodans group at all.

Our mission: to help others. Specifically, those who live (or want to live)
on the Class M planet known as Cerin.

We split into two teams. Team two was led by the “highly esteemed and
totally incomparable Commander Zinnius.” His team, which also included
Lieutenant John Jacob Jingleheimerschmitz (better known as ‘JJ’), First
Lieutenant James, Counselor Ellen, Ensign Hobson (who became Lieutenant
Junior Grade at the end of the sim), and Ensign DDoyer, was to give their aid
on land. Hopefully, all of these people will write wonderfully detailed logs
to let us know what they did.

Team One, led by “powerful, great, wonderful, genius, and beautiful Shodan!”
(not my quote!) Other Team One attendees were First Lieutenant Valdyr, First
Lieutenant Brand, First Lieutenant Jana, Lieutenant Lemon, and Ensign Jon.
We were under water, in an enclosed city of the planet Cerin.

When we arrived, Doctor Jana was immediately whisked away to treat cases of
nitrogen narcosis (a.k.a. ‘the bends’ - in scuba diving parlance).

Brand and Jon stayed in the shuttle Calypso, driving/swimming/flying/whatever
it is that underwater shuttles do to patrol the area. A giant sand shark
made them really nervous, however, the shark seemed to sense their hostility
towards it, and it moved off.

Valdyr, Lemon, and I checked out the structural integrity. Lemon and Valdyr
really wanted to go swimming, so we went outside. A giant jellyfish attacked
Lemon, and he had to be transporter to Sickbay. Since Jana was in Sickbay, I
knew that Lemon would be on his feet in no time flat and ready to soon join
us out in the water.

I promoted Hobson to the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade. I am very pleased
with his performance so far. I feel that he has a bright future ahead of
him, and his career in Starfleet will go far.

My duty today was cut short because of some troubles. But once I started my
shift, things improved. I was immdiately assinged to an away team to help
colonize a new planet that was recently terra-formed. The planet consists of
two major bodies. One of them is water, which covers 3/4 of the planet.
From my understanding, the other is land mass.
I was assinged to the land exploration team, as the other Science Assistant
was assinged to the water study. I scanned for life forms, but only turned
up animal organisms, and no inteligent beings as we know them to be. I took a
water sample from a nearby stream. From my visual inspection it appears to
be drinkable, and has no signs of pollution. If the captain, or the
commander, woud like me to, I will run further tests on the water when my
study of the planet is complete. I will continue my
investigation and report on what is edible by way of plants and animals, and
what is poison to us terrans.

Duty Log Stardate 9704.24

Begin Log:

When we arrived at Cerin, a newly Terra Formed M - planet, The crew was
split into two away teams. The first team, led by me, consisted of JJ,
James, Ellen, Hobson, and DDoyer. We were to explore the land. The other
team was led my our Captain Shodan to explore the sea.
Once on planet we explored a large building that housed various types of
plants, vegetation, and creatures. We were just begining to explore the
building when a loud explosion came from the north end. I sent Lt JJ and
1stLtJames to investigate the explosion. JJ mumbled something about there is
aways an explosion and the rest I could not understand. I'm still trying to
figure what he meant? :::grins:::
From the reports I received it seems that James made a friend with a
local, what was described as a fuzzy looking bear. James named it Ashes. JJ
reported that he found teeth marks next to the failed power generator. He
belives, and I am in agreement, that "Ashes" caused the explosion. They are
begining repairs.
In the meantime; Counselor Ellen was trying to feed a not so friendly
walking fish. It bared its sharp teeth and snapped at her. Luckly she was
not bite. Ensign (now LtJg) Hobson took water samples from the fish stream.
Zin out.

As noted. The Eclipse had its first promotion !!! Hobson was promoted
to Lt (Junior Grade) for his improving performace in the science department.
If he keeps improving, he could easily be the ships first, non transfer,
First Lt.

Our current mission is to explore a new world and seek out new life. The crew
was divided into two teams: one to explore marine life, the other to classify
and categorize life on the land. I am on the latter team. Cdr Zinnius led us
to a very large building which contained many plant and animal species
indiginous to this planet. Things were going rather routinely when we heard
some loud explosions. J-cubed (JJ Jinglehymerschmitz) and James went to
check out the blasts. I started having some severe
allergic reactions which puzzeled me; my only known allergy is to tribbles
(ugh! the name makes me shudder!). Sure enough, J-cubed and James found a
huge mischievous tribble. No wonder my Klingon skin was crawling! I avoided
the horrible thing and concentrated on studying a very unusual life form--an
amphibio-mammal. Cdr Zinnius thought it was a fish at first, but tricorder
readings indicated that it is actually a mammal, similar to Terran whales and
dolphins, though in appearance much like a rainbow
trout. It tried to bite me--big teeth. To my surprise, it started walking
onto the land. Checked the tricorder again, and sure enough, read that the
creature also has amphibian characteristics. It made sounds which I imitated.
It reacted to me, and started "talking" more. I told Cdr Zinnius that I
suspect this creature to be scientient, based on its linguistic qualities and
seemingly communicative behavior. However, this creature's sounds may serve
the same purpose as whale song or dolphin
chattering--which still remain a mystery. I would like to conduct further
studies on this creature; however, precautions will have to be taken as it is
quite hostile toward humanoids--well, at least toward this Klingon.

Today was another GREAT SIM of course by the best Ship the Eclipse. today I

kill Brand and I...Until i reminded her that she would also kill her fish...

BEGIN DUTY LOG
We continued with what we were doing last week. I was leading the Water Away
Team. Members presents were: Shodan, Valdyr, Brand, Jon, TLara (Kate), and
Sarvok. My team continued to examine the structural integrity of the
under-water facility. We found many places that needed up-grading. There
were potential breaches in too many spots. I chose the first one to start
working on.

While we were working, a cute seal came up to us. It seemed very friendly.
It petted us with its fins and also hugged us. It tried tasting us with its
tongue, but, seeing as how we were wearing complete dry suits, we were
completely covered. The seal could find no actual skin to taste.

Valdyr demonstrated additional creative artistry talents of hers. She
started off by rhyming every sentence she said. She only stopped when she
thought she was confusing the seal.

Brand and Jon were still in the shuttle, guarding my fish (last week, I told
them to capture a jellyfish for me, which isn’t really a fish. I guess it
had an identity crisis this week because we all - including myself - kept
referring to it as a fish.).

A creature that seemed to be very similar to a Terran blue whale (native
planet, Earth) swam by the shuttle craft. The wake of the creature caused
the shuttle to spin wildly out of control. Just as Brand and Jon got the
shuttle stabilized, another huge creature came by. This creature was also
bigger than the shuttle. This creature was very similar to a great white
shark. It thwapped the shuttle, sending it spinning wildly out of control.
The shuttle came to rest near an under-water mountain that
had a cave. There were a few surprises in the cave. After an underwater
earthquake, two fighters emerged from the cave - in direct pursuit of the
shuttle. The shuttle and the fighters took turns firing on each other until
Brand was finally able to destroy both fighters, with only some damage to the
shuttle.

I was contacted by the facilitator of this under-water city (Tarkin), who
informed me of a serious breach they had - water was pouring in rapidly. We
swam over to assess the situation. We had many supplies on the shuttle, so I
had Valdyr inform Brand & Jon what we needed, and they delivered.

I had posed a contest to my crew. Whoever was the first to correctly solve
my deduction problem (I suppose I really shouldn’t call it “my” deduction
problem since I am not the author - however, Dell Math Puzzles and Logic
Problems doesn’t list authors for each puzzle they have) ... now, where was
I? oh, yeah, whoever was the first to solve the Deduction Problem would win
a case of Saurian Brandy. I got a few responses, which made me glad. The
first correct response was submitted to Lieutenant JJ
(Lieutenant John Jacob Jingleheimerschmitz - or something like that). So,
in front of the entire crew, I presented him with his case of Saurian Brandy.
He was more than happy to share it with others. I will probably send out
another Deduction or Logic Problem in the future. or perhaps a Math Puzzle.

Stardate 9704.28:
Computer Begin Log: My first mission on the Eclipse was everything I could
hope for. I'm hoping to get a blood sample from the seal creature who
befriended us during the mission. I would love to do DNA encoding on a
sample to see what species we are playing with here. Since it is hairless,
only a blood or tissue samole will do though, and tissue sampling can be
painful. He/she seems like such a playful and sweet creature, and was very
helpful is sealing the breach to the underground faciltied. It
is, of course, a great joy to be working colser to my mate also. I must
learn more about the Orion culture. My education is sadly lacking in that
area and I wouldn't want to commit a error with Valdyr unknowingly. However,
she must also learn to understand that Vulcans are protective of their mates,
and humans show a deceidedly illogical inclination towards jealousy. The
crew does seem quite nice and they also seem to all work well together.

Well, what can I say about my second sim with the eclipse?
well, its was-well, it was strange. It was a continued sim, I missed the
first part. our mission was to survey a planet for colonization,
unfortunately, there may not be any colonists after what we found on the
planet, but, Im getting ahead of myself. Anyway,the first part of the mission
we broke into teams, Shodan lead the water team, and the land team was headed
up by CdrZinnius,(which I was on), that team, (is this getting a
little redundant?) broke into two teams, ensigns Don and JJ were to see
about getting a generater, and CdrZinnius, Ens Hobson, and myself were to
continue survaying the planet.My job, was to start making orders for
supplies, (food, furniture, emergency provisions ect).While survaying the
plants for any that might be edable, ensign Hobson made a rather unexpected
discovery, as Hobson began to scan a rather ordinary looking tree, (to the
great enjoyment of the crew who witnessed it) simply pulled up its
roots and walked away. When Hobson attempted agian to scan it, he found no
signs of intellegance, however, the tree being somewhat tired of being
scaned, spit some sort of green goo at Hobson(which was latter to be some
form of acid, though it had no apparent effect on humans). Meanwhile, JJ and
Don had gone back to the ship to get a generator, (and to there
understandable supprise) when they got it back to the planet, found an
unconscious man beside it. CdrZinnius sent us back sickbay to treat him.
After treating the plasma burns, the man morphed into the same green acidic
substance as the tree had been spitting. It was eventually concluded, (after
seeing new trees spring up from the goo) that the goo was simply part of the
tree's reproductive cycle. However, before we could find out what had
happened to the man, we heard those most hatted words, 'PAUSE SIM'.

I wonder if the seal misses me? I should go down the the biolab and pay it a
visit...but first things first.
Today we finished our ongoing mission to evaluate the structure of an
underwater colony dome, and make improvements and suggestions. No problem
there...I swear, if I ever get my hands on the engineer who designed that
*bleepbleepbleep* (courtesy of Engineering log censoring subroutine), I'll
beat the *bleep* out of him. The materials used for construction were
totally unsuited for an underwater colony...something tells me the government
skimped and used a spacedome, figuring one hostile environment is
much like any other. Vacuum doesn't corrode anything, as far as I know.
Salt water is another story. And space colonies are protected by energy
shields, when meteors and such do hit. Underwater colonies have no such
defenses when thwapped by a giant fish...not to mention the constant
bombardment of the sea currents.
On a slightly better note, we made contact with a friendly marine life form
closely resembling a Terran seal. It seemed to like me and Sarvok, and was
eager to play and swim with us. It even assisted in the emergency patching
of a breach in the dome. I will still be worried about the colonists until
they get a proper setup down there...perhaps Starfleet should dispatch a
permanent task force.

I arrived on time for duty today, and was almost immediately transported
down to the surface for further study of the planet. The first thing I did
was inform the commander of the results of the stream sample I took last
week. The results turnd up that the water had 2% pollutants, and 98% purified
water.
Then I moved on to the study of " Poisonous and Non-poisonous plants" . The
first plant I examined was a small blueberry bush. My tricorder's readings
turned up that although the blue-berries themself are clearly edible, the
branches, leaves, and thorns attached to the bush are poisonous.
After informing the commander of this, I moved on to a small tree near the
stream. I pulled out my tricorder and began to study it. The readings said it
was an ordinary tree, and had no sentience of its own. After a few minutes of
study, the tree undug it's roots from the ground, and walked about thirty
feet from my current position. I steped back a few paces in confusion of
what just happened. I then started to continue my scan, but from a safe
distance.
When I took a couple of steps closer to the tree, it spit-up some sort of
green sap, or slime. I threw myself down on the ground a split-second before
the sap hit the place where I had been standing. After getting up and walking
over to the green sap, my tricorder readings indicated that the sap was made
up of 95% acidic components. I tried to put some in a sample jar, but it just
dissolved the bottom of the jar. Then I increased the containment field
around the sample container by 5 times. After that
was completed I put the sap into the jar and observed it. It was moving
around inside, and I came to the conclusion that it was trying to escape. The
commander told me to pore the sap out ten feet from the tree. As I approached
the tree, it turned and seemed to be waching me. I then pored the sap out of
the container and quickly backed off. The green sap morphed into a small
tree.
From my understanding, the other land team found a hurt person near me and
the commander. As my shift ended, we got the report that the person just
turned into some green sap. My conclusion of this incident is that we have
witnessed the life cycle of this species. The first stage is sap to tree. (In
the tree state, it spits up some green sap as some sort of asexual
reprodution.) The tree then grows into some kind of life form. When that
state is completed it is then transformed back into the green sap,
untill the sap is completely dried up and absorbed into the ground.

We lift off on the planet last week Monday. I was with Lt J J Jhs today to
fix the generator on the planet. I was fixing the generator and we needed
tools to fix it so we beamed down some equipment from the Eclipse. then we
needed to make a replacement of sude so he went back to the ship to replicate
the sude on the ship. meanwhile I was on the planet to look around the room
near the generator and then I found a body near the generator then I inform
the CdrZinnius about the body. the CdrZinnius say to
beam up the man to the Eclipse with Lt J J Jhs and NoriaL to sickbay. then
the man change to a sap then we put into containment field.

Computer Begin Log:
I have no idea about what really happened on our mmmm, last mission. Sarvok
has told me that we were to repair the breech in a wall of an underwater
city. He said I hit my head while swimming over to help Valdyr and a seal?
All I know is that I woke up inside the city and have no memory of the
mission, the ship, or Sarvok, whoever he really is.
He says we have recently transferred onto this ship and that we haven't
made alot of friends yet...so that probably adds to my feeling of this being
a strange place. I am trying desperately hard to remember the things he
tells me have happened since we met, but have met with no sucess yet....it

Today we continued the misson on the plaent that wedid tow weeks
before there was a two groups . ONE group is in the water the other group was
land and I was on the land team for two weeks. So we begin to walk on the
plaent to look aroud so we did . I was science officer on the plaent .
Ellen was still working on the aline in the sickbay she say that it was't a
changeing at all. The alien is trying to talk with us too in sickbay . Then
it said that it was't a changeing at all the
speaice was called Aberton that was the speaice that they all are called.
Then Lt S Lemon was pointing a phaser at the CdrZinnius. "Then the
CdrZinnius sayed why are you poiting phaser at him"? " Then Lt S Lemon say
let me sprack"? "Then the CdrZinnius sayed this is a munter Lt S Lemon "
Then the CatpShodon say that she will take care of thisto the CdrZinnius ".
" Then I sayed Ltjg Hobson look out that tree is getting ready to spited out
of green sap". Then he jumped out of the way.

The away teams continued their work on Cerin. I was in Sickbay feverishly
trying to find an antidote for Pool O' Patient. It was very puzzling:
apparently the Aberton got "slimed" with tree sap and was in distress. He was
given a hypospray which, for most humanoids, would have cleared up his
condition. Instead, he turned into a pool of green sap. Oddly enough, the
sensors showed normal vital statistics (heart rate, blood pressure, brain
function, etc.) for a humanoid life form. Several crew members
suspected that Pool O' Patient was a Changeling; however, his readings did
not match the Changeling profile in the medical database. He is a life form
that, up until today, was unknown to us. I did a cross reference analysis of
the Alberton's vitals readings and the chemical structures of Pool O'
Patient, the Alberton tree, and the hypospray that was administered and
determined that the antidote must be a mixture of tricortinate with deionized
pentabril. Withing thirty seconds of administering the
antidote, Pool O' Patient returned to his Alberton humanoid form. I'm
keeping him in Sickbay for observation.
Shortly after the Alberton returned to his humanoid form, Sarvok rushed Kate
to Sickbay. She was hit on the head and sustained a bad concussion with a
subdural hematoma. I treated the injury with a neural regenerator; while the
regenerator was on her forehead I applied ice to the back of her head and
neck to help reduce the swelling and pain. Although the application of ice is
considered an archaic folk remedy, studies show that it has real healing
benefits, both physically and emotionally. Kate is out
of danger; her condition is good. However, she is still suffering from
temporary amnesia. She is fortunate to have a mate like Sarvok; he is very
patient and loving with her, and I believe that his presence and
attentiveness are crucial to her regaining her memory. It may take days or
perhaps even weeks for those neural pathways to fully restore themselves.
During her stay in Sickbay, I began therapy by asking questions to determine
what she remembered and to evoke more memories. I kept the session
brief as she needed to rest. With continued psychotherapy and TLC from
Sarvok (and the rest of the crew!), the prognosis is for a total recovery
from amnesia.

Today I got to stay on the ship insted of going on shorleve and help tack
out the old shild generators, and install the new generators. Next week
whould prove to be a grate test for these new and improved shild generators.
I was so glad that the captain let me stay on bord to help the engenering
teem insted of going of going on shorleve. I have know idea what i would
have done on shoreleave, but I sure I would have found somthing to do.

To day the uss Eclipse traveled STARBASE EVEREST ware most of the crew of
the Eclipse disinbarked for a week of shore leave. All only crew members that
remained was The captain, engenering, tatical, and my self. I know I'am a
science offacer, but I volentered to to help out the engenering team, and the
captain granted me request. I started off by runing dianostics on the shilds,
then the engenering and tatical startred to disasemble the generators. I then
got permission to go down to engenering and
help disasemble the generators. I reported to First Lieutenant Valdyr,
Encharge of engenering. He told me to work on the port side generator. On my
way to the generator I stoped off at a storage department and picked up some
tools. It took me about fithteen minets to dissasemble the generator and
transport it to the cargo bay. I Reported the finished project to the chef
engener, and wated for the new equipment to come in.

I was order to sickbay for a physical appoint by the capt Shodan and same
as Ens Jon 00 was order to sickbay for a physical too we went sickbay. I left
my post to go to sickbay when I got to the truboleft I hand to sickbaby we
also where testing a sheilds I don't no what happed to of the becaus I was in
sickbay haveing a physical. So I have arreive in sickbay now when I got
there Ens Jon 00 was there befor me he told me that he hate physicals. Then
Ellen came to me and asked me questions about my
cold and I said that have a couef then she said that she will give me a
hypospay to take car of my couef so it did . Then she begins the physical she
tooked so of my blood to looked at if there was soming it but there was't so
she wanted to make sure of that she ready chack it out again and thing came
up so I was readylered about that . Then contend with the exam so she did
she showed me some card of inck she said what dose this picthure look like
o me I said it look like a car Isad. then she hold
up a there card she said what dose this look like to me again and I said it
look like a bus . Then Jon siad that it look like a butterfly to him but I
didn't mind that he said that to me it didn't bug me at all I like that he
said to but I not let him know that at all I keep that a scereact then Ellen
told me that I can go now so she gave me a loliepop and ballon.

::thinking what to say to start his Log:: Hmmm Well I did not do much duty
but I wish I was able to get that chat log for star date 9705.19 I would be
able to make a much better log. My guess is that the Captain did not get my
Messages for the request . Well I was summoned to Sick Bay where I would
have my first physical (I think you know what I think of that word :P) on the
Eclipse(And there was Great Rejoicing in the Land "::pathetic"" Yeah, Yeah
::waving flag as if bored::). So I some how got there
without doing anything else stupid. Just before Don got there. I think I
made it clear that I HATED with all of my Heart Physicals. So after a few
things of pretending to be a threat (playing with my phaser...I was not for
real) Dell Asked me some questions like "Have you been sick, Are you illergic
to anything" things like that. Then she began to torture me...oops I mean
study me. She checked my heart, breathing, took some blood and stuff. Then
she Put these Colored Cards infront of me and asked
me what I thought of when I saw them....What is this?? Pre school?? j/k I do
not remember exactly what I said but I do remember Don leaving before me and
getting a Ballon and a Loli Pop. Course you know what I wanted to do to the
balloon...pop it. So at the end of my Physical I was waiting for a balloon
to pop and WHAM!! She dissed me and gave me just a loli pop, she said a
balloon may be to dangerous. Hmph as if she new. ::walks over to bed,
reaches under bed and pulls out plastic bag:: AHh yes I
bet your wondering what this is. This is my special stach of....Balloons
::rips open bag:: When i get frustrated I blow them up and pop em HA HA HA
you thought you could out smart the Great and powerful. JON!! What no drink

We started off our sim by singing Happy Birthday to Lieutenant (JG) Hobson.
It just so happened to be his birthday! <we else would we sing happy
birthday to him, I ask you?>

I then had a second announcement, which everyone should know. Four days ago,
I married Captain Putty (CO of the USS Potemkin).

In our last sim, we ended up being stuck in a time warp bubble. We had been
discussing what to do to get out of this (via email over the last 2 weeks).
I negated the idea of using torpedoes or phasers because, with the time warp
bubble, they would just make a complete circle and come right back at us. We
first tried reversing the engines as we re-entered the time warp bubble.
This didn’t work. We were still stuck in the bubble.

Everyone had many ideas, and I decided to implement them all. Ensign Kaiyana
suggested that we re-shape the shields (to resemble a flattened oval), so I
had her do it. Valdyr and Ellen had this fabulous theory about duct tape, so
I had Jon and Don scrounge up all the duct tape they could and take it to
Engineering. Valdyr surmised that the warp bubble effect was due to arcing
between the negative and positive shield generator poles. If we put duct
tape to cover the negative pole, it will build up an
excess of charge. Then, by ripping the tape off briefly, Valdyr could
create a burst of energy that will release us from the warp bubble. Hobson
suggested that we try to cut a hole in the bubble without using weapons,
perhaps by using a particle beam. I told him to use the deflector dish to
make a particle beam. Ellen had an idea about using Avon’s Skin So Soft -
“Not only will it pop the warp bubble, but the entire crew will have silky
smooth, woodland-scented skin, and will never get a mosquito
bite.” <<avoiding mosquito bites could be important where we are going>>

Everyone’s ideas worked! We were out of the warp bubble. However, escaping
the warp bubble rocked the ship violently. Warp engines were completely off
line. The dilithium core was cracked - irreparably damaged, and we do not
have any replacements in inventory. Long range sensors were also gone. We
had only partial short range sensors. Most of our primary systems suffered
from major damage. Life support was down to 25%. The SIF (Structural
Integrity Field) is down to 12.79%. Our transporters
were off-line. I had Ensign Jon help out Lieutenant (JG) Ellen with medical
duties, since we had so many casualties.

Kaiyana, Hobson, and Don were both working on short range sensors and soon
had them operational. A nearby planet was discovered. Sensors indicated
that it probably did contain much needed raw dilithium.

I instructed Engineering and Science personnel to quickly come up with a way
to convert raw dilithium into a medium that would be useful to us. I then
divided us into two teams. I led Team One (Ellen, Hobson, Frank, and
Kaiyana) and Zinnius led Team Two (Valdyr, Jon, Don). We took runabouts to
the planet (because runabouts are bigger than shuttles). We went to two
different coordinates.

Hobson quickly found the raw dilithium that we were near, five meters into
the side of a cliff. I ordered immediately excavation. Before we got very
far, I discovered that the 8 feet in diameter tree trunk that I had been
leaning against was actually a Brontosaurus leg. Team Two discovered an
extremely large cave. I alerted Commander Zinnius to watch out for
dinosaurs.

MISSION BRIEF
Summary of damage: Warp engines are completely off line. The dilithium core
is cracked - irreparably damaged, and we do not have any replacements in
inventory. Long range sensors are also gone. We have only partial short
range sensors. Most of our primary systems suffered from major damage. Life
support is down. The SIF (Structural Integrity Field) is down. Our
transporters are off-line.

Current situation: The entire crew is on an unknown planet which our sensors
(partial short-range) show does have the much needed dilithium. We are
hoping to extract raw dilithium and convert it to a usable medium so that we
can power up our ship and actually go some place. We took runabouts to the
planet (because runabouts are bigger than shuttles). We went to two
different coordinates.

Team One is led by the illustrious (and newly married) Captain Eileen Shodan.
Her team members include First Lieutenant Frank, Lieutenants (junior grade)
Hobson and Ellen, and Ensign Kaiyana. Team Two is led by the incomparable
(and very much still single) Commander Zinnius. His team members include
First Lieutenant Valdyr, and Ensigns Jon and Don.

Last week we discovered dinosaurs on this planet. Therefore, I feel the need
to enhance our security measures. Each team will have one person whose sole
purpose will be to defend the team from predators while the rest of the team
will work to extract the needed raw materials. For team one, this security
officer shall be Ellen (our lovely Klingon counselor), and for team two, this
security officer shall be Jon (our energetic security officer). All team
members will carry phasers and phaser compression
rifles with them at all times. The two main security officers will carry
many more items in their arsenal. All other members will carry all of the
needed extraction equipment (larger equipment can be carried using anti-grav
sleds).

I have decided to have a month-long contest with my crew. Whoever writes and
posts the most logs will have the honor and privilege of leading a sim in
July. Qualifiers: the logs must be at least one full screen length to count
- three sentence logs will not count. Also, the winner(s) must write more
logs than I do, and they must be as long or longer than my logs.

we continue the same thing last week but to try to get out of the warp bubble
so I had some ajustment to get out of the warp buble but it didn't work.
Someone else did and got us out of the warp bubble and the sensors where
dameged and they didn't work at all not even the short sensor didn't work at
all so I work on both seners with Ens Kaiyana she was new of the Eclipse. so
we wont get a atack if there where enemy in the area but there was no enemy
there but there was a planet was near by so we went
there looking for supples to fix the ship so we went down to the planet
so there was two teams. I was on team two again with CdrZinnius. I was the
science officer there but then we move around to look for anything there if
there was liffe form there on the planet too. But we walk around than we came
to a cave than MagnusJon2 there was a life form there but we didn't see it at
all then we walk in the cave with CdrZinnius then we have to stop there.

Ahh Yes I come to last weeks sim to find the most important job in the world.
Not that I am complaining or anything but being a Security Assistant I would
LOOOOOOVE a more exiting job then...finding duct Tape. SO I begin to look
under the security. Actually before all of this happned we tried are trying
to get out of a bubble, A time warp bubble I believe and Captain Shodan (I
qoute Chief Jay "The War Goddess") Wanted me to find Duct Tape. So I looked
and looked for some. Under my Desk, Under Cains
Desk, In all the Drawers and found a LOT of duct Tape. But by the time I
got all the duct tape ::Sighs:: It was not needed. Then I looked over the
Secrurity Cams for the ship. Looked in Sick-Bay and the Shrinks Station (You
never know whats going on inside there...with a Klingon Counsler.....). Well
everything was goin "Smooth" but we were still in that bubble. Then we tried
something strange, something only a Klingon Shrink could think
of....Skin-So-soft. WE used the Skinsosoft beam. When the
ship ws shaking to get out I tried to grab something on the wall so i would
not fall (Hey that rhymes....) but there was nothing to grab so I fell. We
were out! But, All the warp engines were oflfine and we had MAJOR Damage to
the Dilithium Chrystles.... A lot of people were hurt and I told the Captain
that I could double in Medical cause I was trained in that course...funny I
am in security, I learn how to break em and how to fix em.....Don't ask. So
the Captain told me to Report to Ellen. And i
did and Ellen said... "Hi, Jon! Let's mosey on over to Sickbay to take care
of the
injured there." I said ok and..of course i mummbled something under my
breath about sickbay...and ofcourse she heard it. The patiants i took care
of had Minor bruises and cuts and were fine in no time. (another great rhyme
I should be mother goose...Father goose......) Anyway we arrived at the
Planet Hobson Located the Dilithium and Captain decided to spilt into two
Away Teams. Captain (ofcourse) Led one and Zinnius led the Other. I was
with Zinnius. Ok well we got of our runabout and I counted
everyone and then Team one Aproached some....::Gasp:: Dinosars ((Exscuse the
Misspelings i have many of them). SO I watched and made sure that no extinct
creature on earth was gonna eat me up...oops I mean the team up and we Saw
the mouth of a Cave and then the Captain said "PAUSE SIM" Those Dreaded
words..... I think I'm gonna get me some Coffee...Black...

Hummm, Zinnius thinks. Long range scanners still off line, short
range scanners still not picking up any Starfleet beacons. Must still be too
far away. Turbo lifts on 50% power. Used only when necessary. Transporters,
he continues to ponder, still not fit for beaming; only 20%. :::::Pushes a
PADD button.:::
With only impluse power being used; The crystal refining is going slower
then estimated ::::: Zinnius turns PADD off and stares at the blank view
screen.:::
"Katie, Video and Audio, " Zinnius requests.
Appearing, in the first Officers chair, Katie looks towards Zinnius. "
You look beat, " she remarks as she tries to get comfortable in the chair. "
Sure wish I could feel chairs. This one looks comfortable, " Kate grins.
" The night watch will be here in five minutes. I want to submitt my
Duty Log before going to 10 forward for a Crabcake and then calling it a
night."

Begin duty log.

My away team found a box filled with the raw Dilithium Crystal Ore in a
cave on the planet which as been nicknamed ' Dino Land ' for the less then
friendly planet inhabitants. One such Dino decided to come to his cave while
we were still looking for the crystal. I guess he didn't like uninvited
guests :::grins:::: because he got a bit upset. However, with the quick
thinking of Dr Jana and Ensign Troi ::::big smile::: the Dino was put to
sleep. Not wanting to remain uninvited, the team quickly
gathered the raw crystal ore and we quietly went around the peaceful dino
and entered our Runabout.
Knowing that Captain Shodans' AT was having a bit more trouble with the
dino's and I not likely to pass up a fight. We went to give the Captain a
hand. With me at the Helm and Ensign Don at Tactical. We prceded to make the
odds more even. However the dinos we getting more reinforcements and
eventually Shodans AT had to be beamed to my runabout.
The Captain, being the persistant Captain that she is, wanted to go to
a different location and find some more raw ore. With her new team, she
beamed back to another location and I took the rest back to the Eclipse. J J
and Don have begun the repairs on the warp drive and Ensign Troi :::big smile
:::: is getting Sickbay ready just in case the Dinos get more nasty.

"I have recently returned to the Eclipse from the surface of the Dino Planet.
While down there, as part of the Captains away team, we went hunting for the
much needed Dilithium for the engines. I don't know exactly how yet, but the
crew managed to nearly destroy my ship. I miss one week, and they trash my
ship. Anyone reading this log may wonder why I call it my ship, I'm only a
Lieutenant. The reason behind it is simple. I'm an engineer, one of the
people that keep this lady flying. If we fix it,
it becomes ours to repair and take care of. That's why an engineer is
disappointed if something that we fixed gets broken, but were happy to get
back to repairing something.

"Anyway, the Eclipse is trashed. We've restored partial turbolifts on decks
1 through 10 and 15 through 19. Main life support is working all decks but
22 through 24, those are still running on emergency power. All tactical
systems are gone, as well as long range sensors. The refining process is
going very slow, expect to be done in about 12 hours. After that, it will
take another 24 hours until we can use warp power. This is because we just
found another problem. The M/ARC has a microscopic crack
on the interior, nearly three times large than maximum safe size. It will
take 36 hours to repair the core, working non-stop. That's the good news.

"The bad news, the warp coils are nearly destroyed. I'm not sure how, but
they were fried during our recent incident. Even if we get warp power back
on line, the fastest we will be able to travel is warp 3, and that is only
for short distances at a time. And to think, I warned about something bad
happening when they tested these shields. But, as usual, no one listen to
J.J.. J.J. warn, but no one listen. Sad really."

OPEN LOG

This was a sim I enjoyed thoroughly. But Before it all began Yana (the best
waitress in the Galaxy) Was taking orders (As in orders for food) from her
Cremates. I ordered a "I'll Take a Cheese Burger and large Fries, and a
Small MR. Pib" but for some reason I never got it…Well I did get the Mr.
Pib. Anyway the sim began and as you know I was with Zin. He immediately
put me and Don to work. (I think it was cause it was just Zin, Troi, Jana,
Don and Me and he wanted to be Alone with Troi…just a hunch)
He Said ":::goes in cave::::Jon and Don you both scan for The crystals." So
I said cool and started looking. I kept picking up these strange reading
like the crystals but it was surrounded by something. I found Rocks and then
BINGO I found the crystals but the problem was they were in a huge wooden
box. I could not open it! I tried and Tried but couldn’t. And then, With
the snap of the fingers I pulled my Crowbar out of my handy Dandy Utility
belt. And I cranked the thing but it would not open!
So then I jumped on the Crowbar and it opened….the problem was the Crowbar
was loose and it hit me in the Shin. So I told Zin and it was the Dilithium
::YEAH!:: so we picked it up then Zin had to get smart and say " put it on
the anti grav sled." Then Don and I did then suddenly (the horror) the cave
began to shake. And of course Troi got pushed over by the shaking closer to
Zin……. Then these Yellow Eyes appeared and I took out my Phaser (level 5) and
got ready. So Zin told Jana to get some spray
and then he turned on his waist light….now where did he get that waist light
from???????? The world may never know. And he shown it in the eyes and Jana
Hit the beast and then Zin told the Captain that we had some crystals and
were heading back to the Runabout. Then he told Don to take Tactical and to
fire at the hostile Dinosaur. I could of hit those things with my eyes
closed. But of course Don ad to do it…Maybe Zin made a typo and put a "D"
instead of "J"….nah……Well Ellen was almost eaten
alive and then Zin listened to the Captain and beamed em up after the 4th
time asking him to do it…ya know…only the fourth :P So then Captain decided
to spilt up again and make two Teams one away team and another going back to
fix the Ship. I was on the Away team with the Mighty Shodan (Captain Shodan)
leading the way. We beamed off the runabout and onto the Captains runabout.
And the Captain told me lil’ol me to take the helm! I have never taken the
helm before. It was cool…I did not really know
what to do but I pressed a few buttons and located the Dilithium. And then
the Runabout Landed and we headed out and then…The Captain said those
Words…PAUSE SIM. I can’t wait till next week. Gonna go get me a lite
Capichino……

BEGIN DUTY LOG
We were still on the planet, in two teams, looking for raw dilithium. Team
one’s members are Shodan, Hobson, Kaiyana, JJ. Team two’s members are
Zinnius, Troi, Jana, Don, and Jon. Guest Simmer Hygiel was on Team One for a
while. Also, Guest Simmer Jay was on Team One for a while.

Team two found dilithium in a cave. There appeared to be some problems with
a box, and trying to open it, but the problems were eventually solved. Team
Two received a visitor - one of this planet’s indigenous life forms -
sentient dinosaurs. Jana, being an expert in the medicinal field, was able
to make a gas that would render the dinosaur unconscious. Thus, Team Two
escaped completely unharmed and returned to their runabout with their
dilithium.

Team One was by a cliff, digging for dilithium, when a group of raptors
approached. Ensign Kaiyana discovered that there were substantial
differences between these dinosaurs and the ones that roamed Earth a very
long time ago. For starters, these dinos possessed intellect, and some of
them were far bigger than the biggest dinos on Earth. Hobson and JJ were
able to get our dilithium before the raptors got too close for comfort. We
thought these raptors had hostile intentions towards us, and it seemed
like they thought we had hostile intentions towards them (some of us
probably did, actually). As our beloved Commander was racing towards us in
his runabout, a fight ensued. It lasted merely seconds, thankfully, before
Zinnius was able to beam us all (including the dilithium) up.

I then divided my crew into two teams again. One team would head back to the
Eclipse and begin repairs. The other would gather more dilithium (since we
still needed more). Zinnius would head back to our beloved ship with Troi,
JJ, Don, Jon, and Hobson. I would take my runabout back to another location
on this planet. Accompanying me are Ellen, Kaiyana, Jana, Guest Jay, and
Guest Hygiel.

Begin Duty Log
Today we continue the mission on the planet of the dinos to pick up dilitium
to fix the ship . We split up in two group. Group one was CaptShodan, First
Lieutenant Frank , Lieutenants (junior grade ) Hobson and Ellen , and Ensign
Kaiyana. Team two is led by CdrZinnius, Firt Lieutenant Valdyr, and Ensigns
Jon and Don. We look aroud in the cave with Jon and we did then Jon found a
box on the floor and we try to get it open but we needed a tool to open it up
we fround a crowbar some where but I don't
rember where so I will go on the mission we opened it and there was a dilium
in the box sowe told CdrZinnius after we comunicated to the CdrZinnius then I
saw a big yellow eyes looking at us in the cave with Jon and Don it was A
dion in the and I sayed that I fir my Phraser at the floor just to try to
sdare it off it work the we went out of the cave Jon and I was runing out
then the CdrZinnius told us to go to the runabout so we did. But the
CdrZinnius stand in the cave to look aroud for mor dilium
when they looked mor dilium in the they came up to tunnel there was lot of
raptoes there so they move slowly so they don't wake they up I wasn't
payattention to at that time then something happy to raptors woke up then
CdrZinnius told everyone with her there to run they did then she told me get
ready to fir at the raptors so I power up the phraser at the raptors When
they get clear of the fir . They got out of the way now so fir at the
raptors put miss one time then need to fir at the raptors this
time hit one thin Jon want to take over but I told him I will do it then
jon comunicated to theCdrZinniusto try to take over but he try then say No
then I contiune then I got them all accept one raptor the one that I miss got
Ellen Then the CaptShodantold CdrZinnius to try to beem Ellen fat so we did
as fast we can runaboutto the transporteer rang then transporteer on porde
the are runabout in time.Then the CaptSohdan sayed meety her runabout soon as
we get there we have avrive to her runabout the
CatShodan sayed to CdrZinnius to have some people go with CaptShodan to go
back to the planet to go look from more Dilium on the planet some did beem
overe to her vessel to go to the planet and from the CdrZinnus to go back to
the ship to do some repairs to the ship with Jon Hobson and Don. That is all
