Sierra was born on Bajor to a Vulcan mother (Gabriella Labann) and a Bajoran
father (M'Hawarr Alexi). Her father died during the Cardassian occupation
when she was 4. Her mother, who was then pregnant with Sierra's younger
sister, Candyce (now 49), took great risks to take the family to the Vulcan
homeworld. Gabriella, a biologist, has worked for a variety of top firms on
Vulcan, Betazed and Sol, before agreeing to accept the position as Department
Head on Starbase Hawking. Sierra also has one older
brother, Nicholai (68), who is an assistant professor at the Vulcan Science
Academy.

Sierra attended schools on Bajor, Vulcan and Betazed, excelling in history,

Due to her father's death during the Cardassian occupation of Bajor, Sierra
has a strong dislike for the Cardassian Empire.
Sierra has always excelled in her studies. She likes to fly, play sports,
paint, hike, and demonstrates a knack for strategy games like tri-level chess

Johnathan Yular has had quite a few asignments since his graduation. The
first ship he was posted on was the USS Enterprise D, where he was an
assistant Engineer. Shortly after he was posted to the Enterprise it was
destroyed by the Duras Sisters. After that he has been moving around to
many different space stations, where needed. He has now been posted to the
USS Darmok (Note all information on the Darmok is classified) where he shall
reside as Chief Engineer, under the command of Captain Tnagra.

Personality Profile
Johnathan is an expert when it comes to computers and engines. He has
studied almost every kind of engine out there and can readily fix them on
demand. His father died onboard the USS Entreprise D during one of there
encounters with the Borg. His Mother serves as the Counsler onboard the USS
Farragut. Johnathan is well known for outwitting his opponents, for example
during his incident at the academy with a klingon who was many times stronger
than he was, he was able to quickly take control and
defeat the klingon without getting a scratch on him.

BACKGROUND HISTORY
Mother was a Starship Captain that left Starfleet to join her Husband when
the Cardassians occupied Bajor. Both Mother and Father were killed at Galatep
Labor Camp. Half Human and Half Bajoran Darryl was treated as any other
Bajoran by the Cardassians. After escaping from Galatep, Darryl joined the
Gikar Resistance Cell. Learning from the healers in the cell, Dare became a
very skilled Healer. After the Cardassians left Bajor, Darryl went on to
study medicine in Jalanda City. Upon recieving a promotion
in the Bajoran Militia he studied zenobilogy at StarFleet Medical. He is one
of the most talented officers in his field. With a background in the Bajoran
Resistance and with experience his mother's former Starship, Dare is a very
capable Doctor.
Yet he does carry the loneliness of the loss of his parents and of his wife
who died when the Cardassians pulled out of Bajor. He is stoic and at times
cold. The course of his life has taught him to be cautious and alert. He is
torn between his human hertiage and Bajoran. Rightfully to Bajoran culture
his name is Taren Darryl but his stubborn mother wished him to carry her name
as would a child born of a Bajoran mother.

PRE-ACADEMY BACKGROUND
T'Kala's father is Vulcan and her mother is Haliian. She was born on
Vulcan and lived there until she was about 13 years old. At that time, her
parents divorced and her mother took T'Kala back to Halii to live with her.
There she learned the traditions and rituals of the Haliian society. A short
time later, her mother remarried and T'Kala suddenly had two new sisters.
Because she was now a member of one of the more important houses on Halii,
she was required to learn elaborate ceremonies and
participate in a very intricate rite of passage into adulthood. These
ceremonies and preparations took hours of practice and T'Kala's mother found
it difficult to keep her daughter focused. T'Kala would often disappear for
hours at a time, preferring to wander in the woods near her home than to
spend the time indoors practicing.
STARFLEET ACADEMY
T'Kala will be the first to admit that she entered the Academy only to
get away from her mother and step-father. She thought of it as a grand
adventure and had no intentions of staying in Starfleet permanently. However,
T'Kala proved to be an excellent student. All of her teachers were impressed
by her quick mind and eager curiosity. T'Kala did equally well in the
sciences and the arts. She enjoyed biology, exobiology and zoology. Her
favorite classes turned out to be in engineering and
astrophysics and she was able to obtain a dual degree in these two
disciplines.

SPECIAL ABILITIES
She is partially telepathic (a Haliian trait). Generally, Haliians must
use a crystal (called a Canar) to focus their thoughts in order to be
telepathic. However, because T'Kal's father taught her the Vulcan mind meld,
she is able to read thoughts simply by touching the person. She must maintain
this physical connection in order for her telepathy to continue to work. Her
father also taught her the Vulcan nerve pinch.
PERSONALITY PROFILE
T'Kala is named after her father, T'Kal, whom she loves very much. As a child
on Vulcan, T'Kala tried very hard to please her father and struggled to
control her Haliian emotions. Once she moved to Halii, however, she found the
new emotional freedom to be exhilerating. As a teenager she was especially
troublesome to her mother, almost to the point of being rebellious. As an
adult, T'Kala has channeled that energy into her studies and her career in
Starfleet.
She also enjoys singing and dancing -- something that comes to her naturally
due to her Haliian heritage. This is an important part of her culture because
the Haliian ceremonies require one or the other (sometimes both).

PRE-ACADEMY BACKGROUND (Family History)
Kayla was born to a Klingon mother and a Human father. She has no other
brothers or sisters. Her father Richard Peters is an ambassador for
Starfleet. When she was born she looked more human than Klingon (taking
after her father more than her mother). Her hair is as red as fire. Kayla
punched and kicked her mother during the entire delivery so her mother named
he Ro'Suv (Which means Fist fight). Her father thought that Kayla looked too
kind and gentle to be called fist fight so he named her
Kayla. She prefers to be called Kayla over Ro'Suv. She tries to hide the
fact that she is Klingon. Her only true Klingon traits are small brow ridges
that she hides with her hair. Her skin coloring as well as her eyes and hair
look more human so no one usually suspects that she is Klingon except when
her temper flares.
Kayla's mother decided to return to the Klingon homeworld when Kayla
refused to follow her mother's traditions and customs.
PRE-ACADEMY BACKGROUND (Schooling)
Kayla travelled with her father who was an ambassador to many different
planets. She spent most of her childhood, however, on Earth. When she
turned sixteen she attended a private academy for the arts. Strangely enough
Kayla has a lve and a passion for music. She thrived to learn all that she
could.
After two years of the music academy some of the students began to
realize that she was indeed half Klingon. They started to taunt her
continuously. Kayla was asked to leave the academy when one day the taunts
of a fellow classmate caused Kayla to almost kill that classmate. Kayla has
regretted ever since her Klingon half because it played a part in her losing
her dreams.
STARFLEET ACADEMY BACKGROUND
When she was 19 she decided to join Starfleet Academy after hearing that
half breeds were accepted more in Starfleet than they were at other
Academies. She tried to pursue a medical career, but her peers strongly
suggested and urged her to join the security profession. At the beginning of
her second year she switched her course of study to that of security.
Kayla graduated from the Academy at the age of 24. She finished with
one year of extensive medical training and four years of extrememly intense
defensive and offensive studies. She was honored by her peers as an
outstanding student both physically and mentally.

POST ACADEMY BACKGROUND
After graduating she found out that her mother was ill. She requested a
leave of absence from Starfleet to take care of her mother. Kayla and her
mother healed their differences. Kayla agreed to honor the Klingon
traditions and customs if K'elypa would accept her love for the arts and be
proud of her acconplishments in that area. K'elypa's health improved, but
Kayla remained on the Klingon homeworld for a couple of years after that.
While on the Klingon homeworld Kayla honored her promise to her mother
and went through extensive study of the Klingon culture and all of it's
traditions. She learned how to use that battleth and many other weapons as a
second nature. She found that there was a sense of art in fighting as well.
This new desire to learn all that she had tried to ignore made the learning
all the sweeter.
She participated or viewed many of the rituals inherent to Klingons.
There are many that she would prefer not to be a part of, but she does honor
those that partake of these time honored rituals.
After three years Kayla returned to Starfleet. She knew that now she
was ready to take on the position of security officer. Her first posting was
to the USS Olympia where she served with great distinction. She still tries
to hide the fact that she is Klingon by not drawing too much attention to it,
but she no longer hates the fact that she is indeed half Klingon.
Kayla was offered the position of Chief of Security on SD 9608.15. This
was an honor to achieve such a standing with only the rank of Lieutenant
Junior Grade. Kayla readily accepted and joined the crew.
PROMOTIONS AND HONORS
While in Starfleet Academy she was awarded the medal of bravery for
saving an ambassador's life. A group of terrorists attacked an assembly that
she was attending. Kayla jumped in front of the ambassador and moved him to
safety, always keeping herself between the terrorists and the ambassador.
Kayla took a phaser blast to the leg when trying to wrestle the phaser away
from one of the terrorists.

PERSONAL NOTES
Kayla is very dedicated to her work. Kayla tries to avoid a fight at
all cost. She does not use force unless necessary. She is always having to
keep her Klkingon side under control. There are many times when she ffears
that she might not be able to control it, but she endeavours dilligently to
keep it under control.
Kayla finds it necessary to let her Klingon side take over completely
every now and then. SHe has found that it is the only way to help her
control the urges later. She has several holodeck programs that were
designed for her when she was in Starfleet. They help her to vent her rage
and anger so that she may keep herself under control when it is necessary.
Kayla has always tried to hide the fact that she is half Klingon. Kayla
was very happy to be assigned to the USS Darmok. She had heard nothing but
honorable things about it's new Captain. She looks forward to the missions
that lie ahead of her.

THE EARLIER YEARS
Janar was born to the High Priest and Priestess Jondalar and Anara. After
her birth her parents moved back to their home planet of Betazan. As was the
customary procedure back then to go to the capital planet to give birth to
ones offspring and register the child. She was raised to one day become a
ruler sitting on the Council of Theros. Her schooling began as soon as she
could walk. She was schooled in the fine art of telepathy. Growing up she
proved to be a tiny, yet agile girl. She was delicate
and beautiful. Her parents treasure in a family of three brothers. However,
she proved to be very different from the rest of her family. She was able to
not only read the minds of others, but influence their thoughts as well.
Anara pleaded with her husband to allow her to ask the Council for Janars'
pardon from the Theros. Jondalar, finally recognizing that his daughter was
no ordinary Betazoid and approached the Council on the matter. The Council
of Theros agreed and the child Janar was sent to
the farthest quadrant of the Feldonian Empire. On the planet, Felpurn she
was raised by the Felpurrs. These agile creatures have quick reflexes like
their ancient Earth ancestor, the cat. They are fast, smart, and extremely
personable. They have the ability to turn and move their bodies with a
strength unknown to virtually any of the other races. All of this combined
with their magical nature was now open to little Janar.
BEFORE STARFLEET
After the destruction of Felpurns' sister planet by the Romulains, Captain
Picard (who had answered their distress call and aided in the Felpurrrs
defense in the Battle of the Defendants) encouraged that she joins Starfleet.
Although she fought bravely in the battles and was recognized as a war
heroine, she felt a longing she could not name. (The Felpurrrs taught her
the deadly skill of the crucial kill and the wondrous power of the mind. She
has the ability to alter minds and any objects that she
comes in contact with. She can move objects, bodies and thoughts to and fro
as she pleases, but always for the good of the cause for which she fights.
She is a very loyal creature.) Her sister creatures saw the unrest in her
and suggested her involvement with Starfleet Academy.
STARFLEET ACADEMY
Janar graduated with the Highest of Honors in the top five of her class. Her
physical abilities outmatched any of the cadets and evened some of the
instructors. Her ability to communicate with other species was never a
problem with her telepathy and zest for learning about new species and their
languages. Although she sometimes found herself out of the good graces of
the Academy officers when she used her mental powers to reach for things
rather than get them herself. Because of her early cultural
switch, she found herself interested in learning about other species,
planets, and ways of life. Any free time found her gazing out at the stars
wondering who was out there. She knew that one day she would be a Chief
Science Officer on a starship.
THE DARMOK
After graduation Janar became Ens Janar, Assistant Science Officer on the USS
Darmok.
Her first Starfleet assignment.
PERSONALITY PROFILE
Janars' small size is not to be underestimated. Her lightning speed, grace,
and agility will allow her to stay up there with the big boys. She is very
friendly and willing to accept almost anyone, providing they are for the good
of Starfleet, only then is she suspicious. Her amazing high intelligence and
telepathetic abilities allow her to have a strong influence on minds and
objects. She is quite peaceful, but will fight for those with whom her
loyalty lies. Because of the battles she has been in,
she is also helpful in giving medical care. She is an asset to any team for
her stealth qualities and mind control. She always gives her all and

Physical description: Trista's appearance depends on what form she is using.
For her everyday dealings with her friends and job, she appears as a female
human about 5'5" with reddish brown hair. (She found this form to be the best
when dealing with people at the Academy and prefers to use it in her everday
life.) She can change her shape to be any creature that she wants from a
very small to a large opposing figure if it is necessary. Trista does not
like to change her form in front of people.
Personal History:
================
Trista was born on the warring planet of Daled IV. She didn't believe in the
political views of her family so she snuck off her planet at the age of 16
aboard a merchant trading vessel that came to her planet to do business. She
spent 2 years traveling before she made her way to earth. On earth she met a
woman who "adopted" Trista and helped her decide on a career in Starfleet.
Although Daled IV is not a member of the Federation, Trista requested to take
the entrance exam to Starfleet academy. She
passed the entrance exam with such high marks, that she was accepted in
Starfleet academy on her first try.
Trista is very independent, probably due to her being on her own from the
time she left home at 16. Although she made many friends in Starfleet, she
is a quiet person. Trista prefers to sit back and observe a situation before
she runs head-long into it. By nature, Trista is very curious, and hates not
knowing what is going on in any situation. She has found her shape-shifting
ability very helpful in retrieving information she wouldn't otherwise have
access to. (She has never shared with anyone that
she does this, she is afraid that it will probably get her into trouble.)
Trista has a playful sense of humor with people that she knows well, but is
more reserved around those she doesn't. In her spare time when she is alone,
she enjoys exploring the world as different lifeforms to get different
perspectives about things.
Early Education and Starfleet Academy

As a child, Trista was taught at home by her parents and private tutors. Her
parents were both research scientists, and they passed along their love for
science to their children. From a very young age, Trista loved animals and
showed an interest in the biological sciences. Her parents encouraged this
passion and gave her all the information that she could handle. The war kept
her parents from being able to spend a lot of time with her and her two
brothers, and Trista felt that her eduacation was
being cheated by something that she didn't even believe in.
At Starfleet Academy, Trista majored in science and medicine. She had a
strong background in science already due to her parents, but she wanted to
expand her knowledge in this area. Trista found that piloting classes also
intrigued her, and she became a proficient pilot. Trista was not fond of her
weapons training classes, she had experienced too much death on Daled IV, but
she did learn basic combat stategies.
Trista took 5 years going through the academy, due to her double major. She
graduated in the top 2% of her class.
Other Information

Trista misses her family terribly, but has no desire to ever go home. She
has contacted them only once since she left home 9 years ago, and that was to
tell them that she had graduated from Starfleet Academy. They had believed
her to be dead, and were overjoyed to learn that she was still alive, but she
refused their plea to come home.

continuously. Kayla was asked to leave the academy when one day the taunts
of a fellow classmate caused Kayla to almost kill that classmate. Kayla has
regretted ever since her Klingon half because it played a part in her losing
her dreams.
STARFLEET ACADEMY BACKGROUND
When she was 19 she decided to join Starfleet Academy after hearing that
half breeds were accepted more in Starfleet than they were at other
Academies. She tried to pursue a medical career, but her peers strongly
suggested and urged her to join the security profession. At the beginning of
her second year she switched her course of study to that of security.
During the summer between her thirs and fourth years at the academy,
Kayla took a few courses on piloting and helm control. She figured that if
she ever had to command an away team that needed to take shuttles, she needed
to be able to pilot one effectively. She completed the course, much to the
satisfaction of the teracher and her other classmates.
Kayla graduated from the Academy at the age of 24. She finished with
one year of extensive medical training and four years of extrememly intense
defensive and offensive studies. She was honored by her peers as an
outstanding student both physically and mentally.

POST ACADEMY BACKGROUND
After graduating she found out that her mother was ill. She requested a
leave of absence from Starfleet to take care of her mother. Kayla and her
mother healed their differences. Kayla agreed to honor the Klingon
traditions and customs if K'elypa would accept her love for the arts and be
proud of her accomplishments in that area. K'elypa's health improved, but
Kayla remained on the Klingon homeworld for a couple of years after that.
While on the Klingon homeworld Kayla honored her promise to her mother
and went through extensive study of the Klingon culture and all of it's
traditions. She learned how to use that battleth and many other weapons as a
second nature. She found that there was a sense of art in fighting as well.
This new desire to learn all that she had tried to ignore made the learning
all the sweeter.
She participated or viewed many of the rituals inherent to Klingons.
There are many that she would prefer not to be a part of, but she does honor
those that partake of these time honored rituals.
While her mother was sick, Kayla worked for some of the traders on
Qo'nos as a pilot. They woukld give her latinum for her services. She used
it to pay for her mother's medications and the doctor's to treat her.
Depsite their differences, Kayla has always loved her mother deeply.
After three years Kayla returned to Starfleet. She knew that now she
was ready to take on the position of security officer. Her first posting was
to the USS Olympia where she served with great distinction. She still tries
to hide the fact that she is Klingon by not drawing too much attention to it,
but she no longer hates the fact that she is indeed half Klingon.
Kayla was offered the position of Chief of Security on SD 9608.15. This
was an honor to achieve such a standing with only the rank of Lieutenant
Junior Grade. Kayla readily accepted and joined the crew.
PROMOTIONS AND HONORS
While in Starfleet Academy she was awarded the medal of bravery for
saving an ambassador's life. A group of terrorists attacked an assembly that
she was attending. Kayla jumped in front of the ambassador and moved him to
safety, always keeping herself between the terrorists and the ambassador.
Kayla took a phaser blast to the leg when trying to wrestle the phaser away
from one of the terrorists.

PERSONAL NOTES
Kayla is very dedicated to her work. Kayla tries to avoid a fight at
all cost. She does not use force unless necessary. She is always having to
keep her Klingon side under control. There are many times when she fears
that she might not be able to control it, but she endeavours dilligently to
keep it under control.
Kayla finds it necessary to let her Klingon side take over completely
every now and then. She has found that it is the only way to help her
control the urges later. She has several holodeck programs that were
designed for her when she was in Starfleet. They help her to vent her rage
and anger so that she may keep herself under control when it is necessary.
Kayla has always tried to hide the fact that she is half Klingon. Kayla
was very happy to be assigned to the USS Darmok. She had heard nothing but

When Kotani was nearly 18, she and her brother were betrayed by
someone, whom they had thought of as a close friend. The Cardassains were
told of an impending raid at a supply depot, of which the brother and sister
were particapating in. The group was captured and imprisioned As was SOP the
Cardassains arrested Kotain's parents and sister soon afterward. In an
effort to get more names the Cardassains forced KoTani to watch as they
slowly totured and killed her parents. Neither her parents or
Kotani gave up any information. Kotani was kept prisoner for over 17
months, when an assualt on the prison freed her. Also Tobin and Kaavi were
taken away to another prison, and Kotani has not seen them since. Little
else is know about that 17 month period except that she was tortured and
forced into slave labor. It appears that either she has blocked the memory of
most that time. What is know was given by eyewitness acounts. After her
release she rejoined the resistance cell and continued to fight
until the end of the occupation. Shortly after the Cardassain's left she

Early Life:
Up to the age of 7, K'Vada led a normal, Klingon life on a colony on the
Earthward border of the Klingon Empire. He spent a great amount of time
wrestling and fighting with his cousins and two brothers, who were 21 and 35
at the time. Quickly discovering how easily he overpowered his companions,
K'Vada took up the art of the ancient Klingon weapons, mastering the batliff.
The young Klingon had his fortunes reversed as he soon found his colony under
attack by Romulans. Rumors collected in an official investigation by
Starfleet say that there is a high possibility that the colony was designed
to receive and transfer tech<VIOLATION OF STARFLEET SECURITY PROCEEDURE/

Tragedy:
K'Vada's brothers, serving upon an K'Vort class battle cruiser in a mission
to eliminate Romulan outposts, were ambushed using stolen Klingon technology.
With blood pulsing through his veins, the young warrior stole a shuttlecraft
and flew into Romulan territory.
Seeking out any Romulans he could get his hands on, K'Vada crashed his
cloaked ship straight into an invisible Warbird. Beamed aboard, the boy
challenged the captain.
Defeated mercilessly, a long Romulan letter was carved into the Klingon's
forearm, and he was left in the disabled ship, drifting slowly through space.
Disenhearted and disabled, he returned home to find it burning and covered
with filthy Romulans. Captured, he was sent to a prison camp in the Carraya
system, imprisoned for 2 years, a hate for Romulans was slowly built up,
along with the ablity to control the temper well for a Klingon.

Training:
Rescued by the USS Enterprise, K'Vada decided to take up residence on Earth.
Living in Japan, he developed skills in martial arts including Tae Kwon Doe,
Judo, and Karate. It was difficult for him, however, as a Klingon, to fully
grasp the "inner peace" concept.
At age 13, K'Vada applied for Starfleet academy. He was not accepted until
age 15. There he studied modern weaponry, hand-to-hand combat, psychology,
and military history. Graduating with honors, besides an incident involving
a Ferengi and the purchase of a dagger.
K'Vada's first assignment is to be upon the USS Darmok, which he will
rondevue with upon DS9 on stardate 9609.13. The Darmok's mission in the
Gamma Quadrant is classified.

Personal Information:
A certain thoughtfulness preceeds any action that K'Vada makes, making him
less impulsive than most of his race. The only exception has to do with
Romulans.
Modern technology is a hard thing for him to get used to. On the Klingon

weapons manufacturing. Because of this, he is only adequete in phaser

THE EARLIER YEARS
Thomas Sperol led a fairly "normal" life. He suffered no undue traumas as a
child. Born into a long line of engineers (none of which had been in
Starfleet), his occupation was really determined at birth. And he loved it. A
natural with computers and conduits at an early age, he decided to become a
repair man, for spotting problems and fixing them was his specialty. He never
planned to go into Starfleet. He always thought that he wouldn't mind being
posted to a ship, but he never strived for it. In fact,
until the accident, he didn't have much ambition at all. However, even
though his first love was engineering, he was very socially adjusted and
amiable, making friends easily, not the least of whom was Catherine Mester.
BEFORE STARFLEET
At 24, Thomas Sperol married Catherine Mester, a childhood friend that he had
grown to love, as did she. About a month into their marraige, Catherine
became pregnant. Thomas reacted both with joy and fright, for he wasn't sure
of whether he was ready to be a father. As it turns out, he wouldn't get the
chance to find out. Catherine and the son-to-be were killed in a freak fire
that escaped the emergency sensors in their home. After examining the specs
for the fire containment fields, he found a small
flaw in the one that was in their building. He cursed at himself for not
having seen it in his initial checks of the safety. He also blamed himself
for not being with his family in their time of need. He channeled his sorrow
into something productive by applying to Starfleet Academy. The rage at
himself that burns like fuel had its origins in the deaths of his family, and
it remains until today.
STARFLEET ACADEMY
Thomas Sperol passed the admission test with flying colors, and, four years
later, graduated with honors in the top twenty of his class. He was
confident throughout his Academy days that he would be posted to a starship,
where he could be the most help. Of course, he exceled in math and science
subjects, and also did surprisingly well in Philosophy (not a common thing
for an engineer). The only things where he was at all disappointed was in
athletics, but he stays sufficiently fit. He identified well
with the instructors and his fellow students, though most were younger than
him. Many of his friends were confused as to why Thomas was so driven, for he
never told them. In fact, Thomas lost some friends because he was very
studious, even though Thomas is really a fun guy. He hoped that someday he
could be Chief Engineer on a starship.
THE DARMOK
After graduation, Thomas Sperol was posted to the USS Darmok as Assistant
Engineer as his first assignment. He is looking forward to it, and he is
coming aboard on stardate 9609.13.
PERSONALITY PROFILE
Thomas Sperol is, as said, driven by the deaths of his family. Accordingly,
he will not accept failure from himself lightly. He will never give it less
than 100%. In fact, he works his best under pressure. Always aiming to
perfect, not to let anyone else down, he is now different from who he used to
be. He is still amiable, but if there is a reason to be suspicious of

Dad. In between studies I would go with them and they taught me to fly as
well. Dad never thought that working in a freighter company was good work
for a lady. He wanted me to go to Starfleet and
make something more of myself. So I did.
Academy:
I Graduated in the top 5% of my class at the academy. Was a member of the
Elite Cadet Organization, Red Squadron. I majored in Computer Science, with
a minor in Mathematics. Took several years of Advanced Quantum Physics.

Programming. I completed 1 year of command school but left after my mother,
father, and two younger brothers were murdered on the Cardassian Border. I

I hate Cardassians with a passion for obvious reasons. I’m dependable and
hard working and try to do my best. I don’t make friends that easily but the
friends that I make are usually life long. You may have notice that I’m
half Betazoid and Irish. My father was Betazoid and my mother was Irish. I
do have telepathic and empathic abilities which I’ve developed greatly while
aboard the Federation. During a mission on the Federation, in which I was
wounded, I discovered that I’m also slightly

T'Kala's father is Vulcan and her mother is Haliian. She was born on
Vulcan and lived there until she was about 13 years old. At that time, her
parents divorced and her mother took T'Kala back to Halii to live with her.
There she learned the traditions and rituals of the Haliian society. A short
time later, her mother remarried and T'Kala suddenly had two new sisters.
Because she was now a member of one of the more important houses on Halii,
she was required to learn elaborate ceremonies and
participate in a very intricate rite of passage into adulthood. These
ceremonies and preparations took hours of practice and T'Kala's mother found
it difficult to keep her daughter focused. T'Kala would often disappear for
hours at a time, preferring to wander in the woods near her home than to
spend the time indoors practicing.
STARFLEET ACADEMY
T'Kala will be the first to admit that she entered the Academy only to
get away from her mother and step-father. She thought of it as a grand
adventure and had no intentions of staying in Starfleet permanently. However,
T'Kala proved to be an excellent student. All of her teachers were impressed
by her quick mind and eager curiosity. T'Kala did equally well in the
sciences and the arts. She enjoyed biology, exobiology and zoology. Her

SPECIAL ABILITIES
She is partially telepathic (a Haliian trait). Generally, Haliians must
use a crystal (called a Canar) to focus their thoughts in order to be
telepathic. However, because T'Kal's father taught her the Vulcan mind meld,
she is able to read thoughts simply by touching the person. She must maintain
this physical connection in order for her telepathy to continue to work. Her

PERSONALITY PROFILE
T'Kala is named after her father, T'Kal, whom she loves very much. As a child
on Vulcan, T'Kala tried very hard to please her father and struggled to
control her Haliian emotions. Once she moved to Halii, however, she found the
new emotional freedom to be exhilerating. As a teenager she was especially
troublesome to her mother, almost to the point of being rebellious. As an

PRE-ACADEMY BACKGROUND (Family History)
Kayla was born to a Klingon mother and a Human father. She has no other
brothers or sisters. Her father Richard Peters is an ambassador for
Starfleet. When she was born she looked more human than Klingon (taking
after her father more than her mother). Her hair is as red as fire. Kayla
punched and kicked her mother during the entire delivery so her mother named
he Ro'Suv (Which means Fist fight). Her father thought that Kayla looked too
kind and gentle to be called fist fight so he named her
Kayla. She prefers to be called Kayla over Ro'Suv. She tries to hide the
fact that she is Klingon. Her only true Klingon traits are small brow ridges
that she hides with her hair. Her skin coloring as well as her green eyes
and red hair look more human. No one usually suspects that she is Klingon
until her temper flares.
Kayla's mother decided to return to the Klingon homeworld when Kayla
refused to follow her mother's traditions and customs. That left Kayla to
travel from world to world with her ambassador father. She never had much
time to get used to any one place.
PRE-ACADEMY BACKGROUND (Schooling)
Kayla travelled with her father who was an ambassador to many different
planets. She spent most of her childhood, however, on Earth. When she
turned sixteen she attended a private academy for the arts. Strangely enough
Kayla has a love and a passion for music. She thrived to learn all that she
could. She is an accomplished player of the Vulcan harp, the pipe flute, the
piano, and the violin.
After two years of the music academy some of the students began to
realize that she was indeed half Klingon. They started to taunt her
continuously. Kayla was asked to leave the academy when one day the taunts
of a fellow classmate caused Kayla to almost kill that classmate. Kayla has
regretted ever since her Klingon half because it played a part in her losing
her dreams.
Kayla still enjoys playing, but she is shy to ever play in front of
anyone because of the criticism and harrassment that she has endured.
STARFLEET ACADEMY BACKGROUND
When she was 19 she decided to join Starfleet Academy after hearing that
half breeds were accepted more in Starfleet than they were at other
Academies. She tried to pursue a medical career, but her peers strongly
suggested and urged her to join the security profession. At the beginning of
her second year she switched her course of study to that of security.
During the summer between her third and fourth years at the academy,
Kayla took a few courses on piloting and helm control. She figured that if
she ever had to command an away team that needed to take shuttles, she needed
to be able to pilot one effectively. She completed the course well, much to
the satisfaction of the teacher and her other classmates.
Kayla graduated from the Academy at the age of 24. She finished with
one year of extensive medical training and four years of extrememly intense
defensive and offensive studies. She was honored by her peers as an
outstanding student both physically and mentally.

POST ACADEMY BACKGROUND
Qo'nos
After graduating she found out that her mother was ill. She requested a
leave of absence from Starfleet to take care of her mother. Kayla and her
mother healed their differences. Kayla agreed to honor the Klingon
traditions and customs if K'elypa would accept her love for the arts and be
proud of her accomplishments in that area. K'elypa's health improved, but
Kayla remained on the Klingon homeworld for a couple of years after that.
While on the Klingon homeworld Kayla honored her promise to her mother
and went through extensive study of the Klingon culture and all of it's
traditions. She learned how to use that bat'leth and many other weapons as a
second nature. She found that there was a sense of art in fighting as well.
Kayla found a new desire in her to learn all about everything that she had
tried to ignore for most of her life.
She participated or viewed many of the rituals inherent to Klingons.
There are many that she would prefer not to be a part of, but she does honor
those that partake of these time honored rituals.
While her mother was sick, Kayla worked for some of the traders on
Qo'nos as a pilot. They would give her latinum for her services. She used
it to pay for her mother's medications and the doctor's to treat her.
Depsite their differences, Kayla has always loved her mother deeply.
USS Olympia
After three years Kayla returned to Starfleet. She knew that now she
was ready to take on the position of security officer. Her first posting was
to the USS Olympia where she served with great distinction. For a while
Kayla was content to show off her Klingon heritage and talk about it freely.
Then a few incidents occured on the Olympia that made her doubt it again.
She decided that it would be best to hide her heritage again. She secretly
practices some of the rituals and excercises, but
anyone new that she meets is told that she is Human and human alone.
USS Darmok
Kayla was offered the position of Chief of Security on SD 9608.15. This
was an honor to achieve such a standing with only the rank of Lieutenant
Junior Grade. Kayla readily accepted Captain Tnagra's offer and joined the
crew. Kayla was very happy to be assigned to the USS Darmok. She had heard
nothing but honorable things about it's new Captain.
PROMOTIONS AND HONORS
While in Starfleet Academy she was awarded the medal of bravery for
saving an ambassador's life. A group of terrorists attacked an assembly that
she was attending. Kayla jumped in front of the ambassador and moved him to
safety, always keeping herself between the terrorists and the ambassador.
Kayla took a phaser blast to the leg when trying to wrestle the phaser away
from one of the terrorists.

PERSONAL NOTES
Kayla is very dedicated to her work. Kayla tries to avoid a fight at
all cost. She does not use force unless necessary. She is always having to
keep her Klingon side under control. There are many times when she fears
that she might not be able to control it, but she endeavours dilligently to
keep it under control.
Occassionally Kayla will try to go back to her dreams of being a
musician. She enjoys playing her instruments in the holodecks. She usually
plays alone because she doesn't want to be taunted because of it. She
prefers that no one know about it.
Kayla finds it necessary to let her Klingon side take over completely
every now and then. She has found that it is the only way to help her
control the urges later. She has several holodeck programs that were
designed for her when she was at the Academy. They help her to vent her rage
and anger so that she may keep herself under control when it is necessary.

Kayla has always tried to hide the fact that she is half Klingon. For a
while onboard the Olympia she thought about letting others know about her
Klingon heritage. All this caused her was pain. She decided that it would
be best if no one knew.
FRIENDS, ENEMIES AND OTHER COLLEAGUES
While on the shuttle ride to the Darmok Kayla met T'Kala. Their shuttle
crashed on route and all that were aboard were forced together to take care
of each other. Kayla grew very fond of T'Kala. Kayla admired T'Kala's
spirit, dilligence, and intellignece. When going over the crew records,
Kayla found out that T'Kala had an interest in music as well. Kayla has
asked T'Kala to join her on the holodecks to practice together. Kayla is
pleased to have someone that she can share things with. Kayla
is glad to have a friend.
In an incident on Deep Space Nine, Kayla required the Assistance of
Lieutenant Junior Grade Yular to ward off the advances of a strange doctor.
Kayla grabbed Yular and kissed him until the doctor left the area. Kayla and
Yular, who preferes to be called Jonathan, spent the rest of the afternnon
and evening together getting to know one another. They have begun to become
close friends.
Kayla does seem to have a nemesis onboard the Darmok. His name is Xian
Trax. Thye hit it off wrong from the word go. Trax keeps trying to remind
Kayla that she is Klingon, and she doesn't care to be reminded of it. He has
stepped on her toes a number of times, but a reconciliation seems to be in
sight. Xian was kidnapped by some Ferengi renegades and pumped for
information. Kayla lead the team that rescued them. In the rescue Kayla
herself was injured, and Xian carried her to safety on the
Darmok.
Kayla has also had a run in with Counselor Sierra. Only time will tell
if they will be friends or if they will be enemies.

Personal Background:
Graduated the academy in the top 5% of his class. A rogue by nature has
been reprimanded on several occasions, but was never truly convicted of any
of the things he was accused of. After his first year at the academy, he
took a leave of absence for 18 months. Information on his whereabouts is
CLASSIFIED by Starfleet Intelligence. He excelled in Advanced Tactics,
Security, and Science, especially computer technology. His friends used to
call him "MacGuyver" after an old television character in the
1980’s because of his ingenuity with average objects. At graduation he and
his flight team pulled a stunt that will live forever in the anals of Academy
history, but he was assigned as a test pilot at the Utopia Planetia Fleet
Yards for new vessels right after.
He grew up on a moon close to the Klingon/Federation border under his
father’s care. His mother stayed with Starfleet and they saw each other
infrequently. His father chose this planet because it had a gravity twice
that of Qo’onos, which would make his son stronger than many average
klingons. He trained his son hard in combat techniques, but realized as a
wise warrior, that he needed to excel in many things. So he sent his son
frequently to see his mother for training in other aspects. On Earth,
and Betazed, Xian learned all that was not warrior like. The arts and
sciences. (But also got to learn some martial arts of different cultures to
add to his skills). When he came of age, he decided to enter Starfleet
because of his background. He realized, being of mixed origin would make it
impossible for him to acclimate to the true Klingon way.
"Shadow" (Xian) has a very quiet personality and stays to himself until he
gets used to you. Then he opens up. He is close to his family and is
concerned for his sister in the Maquis. He has a hope of finding her
someday….
The nickname "Shadow" comes from Xian’s ability to just fade into the
woodwork. His mother gave him the name when she caught him watching her
under "personal" circumstances. The name stuck with him in the Academy when
his mother called him this out loud and he "appeared" out of nowhere to
register. Other incidents have also confirmed his nickname.

Starfleet, under the terms of the treaty with Cardassia could not intervene
in any internal affairs of Cardassia and her territories. Officially, their
hands were tied. Starfleet Intelligence and many others were outraged at the
treatment of Bajor and her people under Cardassian rule. This was
untolerable and something had to be done. A select few withing Starfleet
Intelligence formed several teams of "specialized" people and recruited them
for a special mission. The mission was considered
CLASSIFIED and all knowledge of these people and their goals is to be
denied. First year Cadets, who had shown aptitude for many specialized
skills were given the mission to provide aid, relief, and "Supplies" for the
comfort of the Bajoran people. There were 5 teams. Team 3 consisted of the
formentioned officers. Their contacts in Starfleet was a Lieutenant Tnagra
and a Lieutenant Kane. As smugglers, they were able to sneak in food,
medical supplies, and other things to rebel forces on Bajor.
And in doing so made many contacts within the "Black Market". As a reward
for their mission these "Cadets" were given specialized training and credit
for the Advanced Covert Ops Training Courses. Other missions of this nature
were sanctioned openly by Starfleet. For further information you must have

THE EARLIER YEARS
Janar was born to the High Priest and Priestess Jondalar and Anara. After
her birth her parents moved back to their home planet of Betazan. As was the
customary procedure back then to go to the capital planet, Betazed, to give
birth to ones offspring and register the child.
She was raised to one day become a ruler sitting on the Council of Theros.
Her schooling began as soon as she could walk. She was schooled in the fine
art of telepathy. Growing up she proved to be a tiny, yet agile girl. She
was delicate and beautiful. Her parents treasure in a family of three
brothers. However, she proved to be very different from the rest of her
family. She was able to not only read the minds of others, but influence
their thoughts as well. Anara pleaded with her husband to
allow her to ask the Council for Janars' pardon from the Theros. Jondalar,
finally recognizing that his daughter was no ordinary Betazoid and approached
the Council on the matter.
The Council of Theros agreed and the child Janar was sent to the farthest
quadrant of the Feldonian Empire. On the planet, Felpurn she was raised by
the Felpurrs. These agile creatures have quick reflexes like their ancient
Earth ancestor, the cat. They are fast, smart, and extremely personable.
They have the ability to turn and move their bodies with a strength unknown
to virtually any of the other races. All of this combined with their magical
nature was now open to little Janar.
BEFORE STARFLEET
After the destruction of Felpurns' sister planet by the Romulains, Captain
Picard (who had answered their distress call and aided in the Felpurrrs
defense in the Battle of the Defendants) encouraged that she joins Starfleet.
Although she fought bravely in the battles and was recognized as a war
heroine, she felt a longing she could not name. (The Felpurrrs taught her
the deadly skill of the crucial kill and the wondrous power of the mind. She
has the ability to alter minds and any objects that she
comes in contact with. She can move objects, bodies and thoughts to and fro
as she pleases, but always for the good of the cause for which she fights.
She is a very loyal creature.) Her sister creatures saw the unrest in her
and suggested her involvement with Starfleet Academy.
STARFLEET ACADEMY
Janar graduated with the Highest of Honors in the top five of her class. Her
physical abilities outmatched any of the cadets and evened some of the
instructors. Her ability to communicate with other species was never a
problem with her telepathy and zest for learning about new species and their
languages. Although she sometimes found herself out of the good graces of
the Academy officers when she used her mental powers to reach for things
rather than get them herself. Because of her early cultural
switch, she found herself interested in learning about other species,
planets, and ways of life. Any free time found her gazing out at the stars
wondering who was out there. She knew that one day she would be a Chief
Science Officer on a starship.

PERSONALITY PROFILE
Janars' small size is not to be underestimated. Her lightning speed, grace,
and agility will allow her to stay up there with the big boys. She is very
friendly and willing to accept almost anyone, providing they are for the good
of Starfleet, only then is she suspicious. Her amazing high intelligence and
telepathetic abilities allow her to have a strong influence on minds and
objects. She is quite peaceful, but will fight for those with whom her
loyalty lies. Because of the battles she has been in,
she is also helpful in giving medical care. She is an asset to any team for
her stealth qualities and mind control. She always gives her all and expects
anyone she works with to do the same. She is not afraid of a little work and
is always interested in finding new ways to do things. A Betazoid at heart,
she loves beautiful things--clothes, antiques, books-- you can find her

very small to a large opposing figure if it is necessary. Trista does not
like to change her form in front of people.

Trista was born on the warring planet of Daled IV. She didn't believe in the
political views of her family so she snuck off her planet at the age of 16
aboard a merchant trading vessel that came to her planet to do business. She
spent 2 years traveling before she made her way to earth. On earth she met a
woman who "adopted" Trista and helped her decide on a career in Starfleet.
Although Daled IV is not a member of the Federation, Trista requested to take
the entrance exam to Starfleet academy. She
passed the entrance exam with such high marks, that she was accepted in
Starfleet academy on her first try.
Trista is very independent, probably due to her being on her own from the
time she left home at 16. Although she made many friends in Starfleet, she
is a quiet person. Trista prefers to sit back and observe a situation before
she runs head-long into it. By nature, Trista is very curious, and hates not
knowing what is going on in any situation. She has found her shape-shifting
ability very helpful in retrieving information she wouldn't otherwise have
access to. (She has never shared with anyone that
she does this, she is afraid that it will probably get her into trouble.)
Trista has a playful sense of humor with people that she knows well, but is
more reserved around those she doesn't. In her spare time when she is alone,
she enjoys exploring the world as different lifeforms to get different

Lanel strived to educate herself in both mental and physical abilities.
Feeling a strong, overwhelming need to be better and stronger than her
father, or any male for that matter. She was constantly tormented with the
need to feel accepted by her father and felt the need to impress him even
though she barely knew him.
Education Information:
Before the academy, Lanel had no formalized training. Her aunt Janel
kept her home and taught her all that she knew. Lanel also forced herself to
learn everything she could, questioning everyone and learning "life's
lessons". When she entered the Academy she was by no means under any of her
peers. She breezed through the academy and impressed all her instructors
with her mental abilities. She did however make a few enemies along the way,
all men.
Starfleet Intelligence assignment:
Upon graduation she was immediately assigned to starfleet intelligence.
Because of her multi-race, she was asked to go undercover on the Res Talon.
She was unsure of her ability to pass as full Rihan, so she asked for a three
month leave to establish a connection with her other side. Because of her
anger with her father, she took on the mission with full conviction. Knowing
if her father ever found out he would put her to death made her even more
convinced that what she was doing would give her the revenge she seeked. She
entered the Res Talon as an assistant science officer. She immediately began
an intimate relationship with the Science officer. This relationship helped
her advance quickly. She was promoted to Kheinsa within a few months. There
she had access to confidential data on not only all officers aboard the
Talon, but all officers in the Rihan Empire. She uncovered many interesting
things about her own father and plans he had on the federation. She gave all
this information to intelligence. Her position aboard was very valuable to
Starfleet command.

THE EARLIER YEARS
Janar was born to the High Priest and Priestess Jondalar and Anara. After
her birth her parents moved back to their home planet of Betazan. As was the
customary procedure back then to go to the capital planet, Betazed, to give
birth to ones offspring and register the child.
She was raised to one day become a ruler sitting on the Council of Theros.
Her schooling began as soon as she could walk. She was schooled in the fine
art of telepathy. Growing up she proved to be a tiny, yet agile girl. She
was delicate and beautiful. Her parents treasure in a family of three
brothers. However, she proved to be very different from the rest of her
family. She was able to not only read the minds of others, but influence
their thoughts as well. Anara pleaded with her husband to
allow her to ask the Council for Janars' pardon from the Theros. Jondalar,
finally recognizing that his daughter was no ordinary Betazoid and approached
the Council on the matter.
The Council of Theros agreed and the child Janar was sent to the farthest
quadrant of the Feldonian Empire. On the planet, Felpurn she was raised by
the Felpurrs. These agile creatures have quick reflexes like their ancient
Earth ancestor, the cat. They are fast, smart, and extremely personable.
They have the ability to turn and move their bodies with a strength unknown
to virtually any of the other races. All of this combined with their magical
nature was now open to little Janar.
BEFORE STARFLEET
After the destruction of Felpurns' sister planet by the Romulains, Captain
Picard (who had answered their distress call and aided in the Felpurrrs
defense in the Battle of the Defendants against the Romulans . . . she also
became quite friendly with Picard's First Officer while they were on Felpurn
and even saved his life one time) encouraged that she join Starfleet.
Although she fought bravely in the battles and was recognized as a war
heroine, she felt a longing she could not name. (The Felpurrrs
taught her the deadly skill of the crucial kill and the wondrous power of
the mind. She has the ability to alter minds and any objects that she comes
in contact with. She can move objects, bodies and thoughts to and fro as she
pleases, but always for the good of the cause for which she fights. She is a
very loyal creature.) Her sister creatures saw the unrest in her and
suggested her involvement with Starfleet Academy.
STARFLEET ACADEMY
Janar graduated with the Highest of Honors in the top five of her class. Her
physical abilities outmatched any of the cadets and evened some of the
instructors. Her ability to communicate with other species was never a
problem with her telepathy and zest for learning about new species and their
languages. Although she sometimes found herself out of the good graces of
the Academy officers when she used her mental powers to reach for things
rather than get them herself. Because of her early cultural
switch, she found herself interested in learning about other species,

Any free time found her gazing out at the stars wondering who was out
there. She knew that one day she would be a Chief Science Officer on a
starship.
THE DARMOK

Janar, Assistant Science Officer on the USS Darmok.

PERSONALITY PROFILE
Janars' small size is not to be underestimated. Her lightning speed, grace,
and agility will allow her to stay up there with the big boys. She is very
friendly and willing to accept almost anyone, providing they are for the good
of Starfleet, only then is she suspicious. Her amazing high intelligence and
telepathetic abilities allow her to have a strong influence on minds and
objects. She is quite peaceful, but will fight for those with whom her
loyalty lies. Because of the battles she has been in,
she is also helpful in giving medical care. She is an asset to any team for
her stealth qualities and mind control. She always gives her all and expects
anyone she works with to do the same. She is not afraid of a little work and
is always interested in finding new ways to do things. A Betazoid at heart,
she loves beautiful things--clothes, antiques, books-- you can find her
during her free time listening to classical music and painting. Although
many times she has been found in a hollow-deck
honing up her combat skills with a Klingon warrior!
