Daniel Mancuso
USS Columbia
PL-SD-97241.0

Many things passed through his mind as he stood and watched the doctor
make the blood test....He knew He would not pass it. He didnt mind it at all
it would at last free him of this burden he had inside. He would finally be
Himself. But what was himself? the body He had or the formless being that He
was? He stood there and let it happen... He watched as fear and distrust
crossed and covered the faces of the Captain and Chief Engineer, The
Doctor was terrified...and the Security Chief itched to pull the trigger...
In any other situation it would have been hilarious... but all he felt was
contempt... disdain for these fixed formed humanoids that didn't really
understand what it was to be formless... it wasn't like He was a founder...
they were the epitome of what He wanted to become in the end... a true shape
shifter... He wasn't yet, but He could evolve and become. He looked at them
and laughed... He was so much more than them and yet there under this bio
sensitive skin... He felt longing... for those things they thought
important.... friendship, family, relationships, closeness,love, happiness,
lust.... all those things He would never feel... would never
experience...would never share with anyone...because it was beyond his
capabilities to feel any type of emotion, He could mimic them but it would
never be felt...

So He stood and waited for the Captain to dictate his fate... Yet
there was another way out of this uncomfortable situation...He could help
them to get back to were they were supposed to be... and maybe only maybe if
they could make that sacrifice... forgive him and permit him to leave... He
had a bargaining chip that He could use... but He had to be find out if the
real Dan Mancuso was still alive... either way He had to get the ship off the
planet.

He made his desition quicker than He had anticipated... it would be
better for all involved and in the end He would "grow" to another level of
(He shook his head in disbelief) "Humanity"? :::laughing::::

"Okay Captain....I think this is what you want to hear....."

Ever since we found out that we have children together. My relationship with
Killa has taken a new turn. Nothing illicit or immoral has gone on just
a...new way of looking at each other. There seems to be a connection between
us. I dont know quite how far this thing will go but I know one thing I have
never felt quite this strong about anyone since.......well that time long
ago. Killa has been through a lot in
her lifetime. She has suffered and done without true emotional release for
too long it is time she learned to reach out and "LIVE again. Hopefully i can
help her there. Time will tell.........

OPEN LOG
I don't know what to think, what to feel, what to just simply do. I'm
so confused. I feel sorry for both the Captain and Courtney. I think the
captain's home is here. Not down there. I can't stand to see Courtney broken
up like that over the Captain. I know someday that she'll get over that... I
went through the same thing myself.

::sighs:: Call me strange, but I'm going to miss the Captain with her "Bloody
Romulan" remarks. She's Klingon, they have an ingrown hatred towards
romulans. I wonder if she'll miss me. Heh, unlikely. I hope that the Captain
will find peace and happiness down on the planet. If she is reading this, I'd
like to say to her, "See you later".

Selah looked into the eyes of the young boy. "Julio trust me and I will let
you "feel" how your grandmother feels about you." The boy pauses for a moment
and then nods silently. Selah reaches out & grasps the earlobes of his
grandson. He concentrates on Killa and the love that he had felt when he had
talked with her about their grandson. The concern she felt about his feelings
toward her. Tears
began to flow freely down the face of the youth. Releasing this grasp "You
see she really does love you. She just has a rough time sharing those
emotions with others. She loves you more than life itself." Wiping his face
Julio looks up into the eyes of his grandfather searching for an answer,
"Will she ever be able to tell me she loves me?" Hugging the young boy to
his chest Selah breathes deeply. "I truly hope so Jules.....I truly hope
so."

As I sit in my office I consider this "family" that I have found here. I had
to come into the future to have my eyes opened to see that what I have in the

If....no when we get back I am going to make a few subspace transmission

PERSONAL LOG
SELAH TARVA
USS COLUMBIA
STARDATE 9711.24

Tarva sat in his room running through his mental/psychic exercises. During
these exercise he allowed himself to make his way through a mist filled maze,
inhabited by the worst beings ever encountered on any known world armed with
only his psychic abilities the test was to see if he could make it to the end
with "minimal" damage. Around any corner could lurk a being waiting to remove
his life force from this plane
of existence. Battle after skirmish after melee brought him closer to the
end. Closer than he had ever been before. Off to his right he hears the slimy
shuffling of a Saflakian Dovan. Crouching into his battle stance, Tarva
focuses his mind to "feel" through the shrouding mist to make contact with
the creature. Reaching...searching...grasping for the slightest hint of
sentience. Nothing...suddenly he senses a surge of hostility behind him to
his
left...He had been set up. The very air shimmers and a Klingon Bat'leth
appears in his hands just as the Mondakaar Trooper stabs him in the shoulder
with his energy blade. Ignoring the pain Tarva in one fluid motion spins the
Bat'leth and slices under his left arm and up, catching the trooper in his
midsection and cutting him up to his throat. The blood and body fluids splash
on to Selah as he falls to the fog below.

Removing the blade from his shoulder and bracing himself agaisnt the
wall, He mentally deactivates the Holo-Encephalic Stimulator that is attached
to his temple.
There is a bright flash of light that receeds to a pinpoint and he is back on
board the USS Columbia. His body shone with the sheet of sweat that covered
him. This had been his most intense work out in quite some time. He was
pushing himself harder and harder lately. Ever since landing on that
planet...A mission he refered to as "A Family Reunion". Was he ready for a
long term relationship? Was he capable of making Killa happy? These questions
& more
left him feeling uneasy. A master at emotions but a novice at
relationships...Selah laughed to himself. "By the prophets
I may not know what the future holds, but I know the way I feel....for now
that has to be enough." Tossing the H E Stimulator onto the bed as he walks
into his shower. he had to be swift he had a "Date" with Killa in Ten Forward
in thirty minutes...

StarDate: 9112.06

=/\=OPEN LOG=/\=

Well I would say my life has changed yet again. I brought another life into
this world, my son Dimitri. He was actually early and therefore small. He
really looks so much like Matthew, but at least this time he has my hair and
eyes. His head ridges are a little less defined then Courtney's but he still
has some of my Klingon blood in him. He is a beautiful boy and like his
sister is very content and thankfully does not cry
much. Doc hasnt let me take him home yet because of his size, but I hope to
have him with me and Courtney any day now. I have to say things went so much
easier with the two people I care about the most at my side. jKoel was my
hero, even when I was crushing his hand. And Doc like always was the picture
of medical control. I wonder how she feels being made a Godmother again.
That women has more children then anyone I know, but I know she is
still feeling the loss of Gaby greatly, but I assured her that would only be
a temporary situation. I will do everything in my power to get her the child
back. I wonder if Matthew will ever want to meet his son. I just havent
decided on how I want to deal with that situation, I dont want my children
growing up thinking there father just left them. jKoel is wonderful with
Courtney, she is really starting to develop a personality all her own. She
actually is a huge flirt, something she gets from her father. She also is
developing somewhat of a temper. She still does not cry much, but when she
does, she is very demanding, just like her mother. I can also see a
analytical side developing in her, it can only come from her time with her
Godmother. I was never the analytical type like Doc. I think she will be a
well-rounded child and she will never be lacking in love as will Dimitri.
Yes
Matthew is gone, but I have my two wonderful children and they will be mine
till the day I die, something I dont plan on doing for a very long time. Its
time for me to get some rest, having a child and commanding a StarShip is no
easy task.

Computer remind me to send a communication to Grace tommorow and tell her she
is an aunt once again. And close log.........

Mishaps Before Arrival
Log by Ensign Ephiny Tyris

Stardate 9803.02
Earth, San Francisco Spaceport

The young Elerian women picked at her uniform sleeve absently, finding an
unusual interest in her clothing lint. She sighed with boredom and looked
around the lounge. The terminal itself was packed full of people, but the
waiting lounge for the transport vessel Centaur IV was pretty much deserted.
Except for a few wet-behind-the-ears looking ensigns. The Elerian scowled,
hoping that no one was going to mistake her for one of those.

"Well, well, well . . . look who we have here. It's Ephiny Tyris! Hey, how
are you?" A tall stocky Terran with pale blond hair and sharp blue eyes
tossed his duffel bag into the chair next to her. Much to Ephiny's
annoyance, he pulled up a chair right across from her.
"For 4 years," Ephiny replied with a neutral expression and monotone voice,
"For 4 years, Billy, I've been stuck with you. Please don't tell me we've
been given the same assignment again." She stared at her old comrade,
William Philips, for a moment. Even though his smug expression was perfectly
readable, Ephiny mentally prodded him. As soon as she did, Ephiny wished she
hadn't.
Billy laughed obnoxiously as the Elerian let out a distasteful groan. "Yep,
stuck again. You know I love it." He smirked and opened his mouth to make
another irritating comment but instead, he suddenly fixed his gaze at
something behind Ephiny.
"Ephiny of Clan Tyris?" inquired a female's voice from behind. Cautiously,
Ephiny moved her hand casually underneath the table where her own duffel bag
was.
"Yes?"
There was a sneer. "Prepare to meet your ancestors, you worthless scum."
Ephiny quickly pulled her family's ceremonial sword out from her duffel and
brought it up in time to block the blow. She leaped out of her chair and
whirled around to come face to face with another Elerian. I'm on Terra,
Ephiny thought with confusion. Why would I be challenged here? She searched
the woman's traditional Elerian armor for some clue to who her
attacker was.
"Identify yourself," Ephiny demanded, eyes flashing angrily. She tried to
tense her grip on her sword's hilt, but it felt too awkward. It had been a
long time since she was last challenged. The woman glared down at Ephiny,
her gaze unflinching.
"Sasha of Clan Rayan," the woman, or Sasha, spat. Sasha lunged forward and
brought her sword down on what would've been Ephiny's head if she hadn't
ducked and moved out of the way in time.
Ephiny looked around and realized now she had attracted a crowd. Out of the
corner of her eye, she saw a couple of Security guards hurrying towards the
lounge. Out of her other eye, she saw Billy grabbing both their duffel bags
and pointing outside at the landing pad where their transport had just
landed. Great, just great. I don't have time for this! Ephiny took another
step back and moved into a defensive position.
"I have no quarrel with the Rayan Clan," Ephiny stated, hoping that maybe
this Sasha mistook her for somebody else. The flash of hatred in Sasha's
eyes proved Ephiny wrong.
"Tell that to our Elders!" She lunged again, but this time Ephiny was
ready. Instead of sidestepping the swipe, Ephiny moved forward. Catching
Sasha off-guard by the unexpected move, Ephiny managed to hold down her sword
arm. She brought up her own sword to the woman's neck.
"Yield to me." Ephiny glared and tried to look determined. But Sasha
snarled and stubbornly refused. Ephiny pressed the blade of her sword closer
to the woman's neck and demanded again, "Yield to me."
Sasha glared for a moment but relaxed her body. "I will yield . . ."
"Good," Ephiny nodded in satisfaction and let go of the woman. She turned
to jog after Billy, hoping that the Centuar wouldn't leave without them. But
from behind her, Ephiny heard a growl.
"I will yield when the members of Clan Tyris are all DEAD!"
Ephiny whipped around and was startled to see Sasha fall over backwards as a
phaser beam caught her in the chest. Ephiny turned back around to search for
the point of origin to find Billy holding a Type I phaser.
"What the hell?!" yelled Ephiny angrily. "You know you're not to interfere,
Billy! By the gods, 4 years and you still don't remember our customs!"
"I remember," Billy countered, tossing Ephiny's duffel bag at her, "But I
also know we're going to miss our transport. To hell with tradition, Ephiny,
let's go before we miss it."
Ephiny stormed after Billy muttering, "I hate you."
Billy smirked, "I love you too, Ephiny."
"Shut up."
Ephiny and Billy dashed towards the exit, but much to their dismay, a large
burly Security lieutenant stepped in front of them. His expression was
serious, and he didn't look like he was about to budge.
"I'm sorry, Ensigns, but if you were involved in that brawl, I'll have to
detain you for questioning." Billy glanced outside and realized that the
transport was getting ready to leave. He threw a helpless look in Ephiny's
direction. Acting quickly, Ephiny prodded the Security officer's mind until
she came up with a name.
"Mike!" Smiling brightly, she threw her arms around him. "It's so good to
see you! By the gods, it's been years! How's your mom doing? Good? That's
great!"
The lieutenant, Mike, blinked in surprise but returned the friendly hug. He
assumed that he obviously knew her, but just couldn't put a face to a name at
that moment. "Umm, hello, uhh . . . umm . . ."
~~Ephiny.~~ The dazzling smile on the Elerian's face never wavered.
"Uhh . . . Ephiny!" The guard smiled but was obviously still feeling a bit
of disorientation. "It's great to see you too . . . I think."
Billy snickered loudly, realizing what was happening. But quickly hid his
smile when Ephiny threw him a nasty glare. The effect on the Lieutenant was
fading, he realized that. Ephiny was going to have to do something quick if
they planned to make that transport.
Ephiny obviously had the same thought as Billy for she gave the Security
officer another quick hug. "Mike, I'd love to stay and chat, but I'm going
to miss my transport. Tell your mom to send me some of her delicious
cookies, okay? Bye!" She grabbed Billy by the arm and they bolted outside
onto the landing pad. The gold-uniformed Lieutenant stared after them dumbly
but shrugged and moved on.
"Ephiny, I have to hand it to you, that was good." Billy grinned as he
punched her lightly in the shoulder before scrambling into the transport.
Ephiny glared viciously after her old comrade.
"Men are so pathetic," she spat in disgust. "So easily fooled by a pretty
face." Ephiny put her hands on her hips and glowered darkly. "And didn't I
tell you to shut up?"
Billy just smirked.

USS Columbia
Personal Log
Captain Dana Torres-jKoel

Dana walks from her small office in her quarters and sets a PADD down on the
dinning table and walks over to the replicator and orders a hot coffee. She
waits for it to materlize and when it appears she picks it back up and walks
to the dinning table and sits down to read over the PADD. Sipping her coffee
she glances over all the engineering, tactical, and scientific reports for
the week. The com chirps and she looks up, "Captain there is an
incoming transmission on the com for you." Dana sighs and stands, "I will
take it in my personal office Ensign, please patch it through." She walks
back into her office and straightens her uniform and sits down behind her
large black desk. She looks to the wall and the viewscreen and touches a
button on her desk and an image she never expected to see pops on the screen.
"What do you want!!" She says in a sneer. The man on the screen just
shrugs,
"Just wanted to see how life was treating you." Dana stands up and walks
toward the screen, "You just wanted to see how life was treating me? Who in
the hell do you think you are?" He sits back and smiles, "Well, your
husband!" Dana's face is turning red, "Well there is where you are wrong
Matthew, we are no longer married and if you check with StarFleet you will
see what I am telling you is true." Matthew chuckles, "Ah come on Dana, you
know that cant happen without my knowledge, so stop kidding around" Dana
leans against her desk, "Well since you are no more then a greece monkey, you
need to check the new laws, when someone abandons their wife and children,
thats grounds for divorce non contested." Matthew looks a little
dumbstruck, "What? Abandoned? Dana you know I just needed a little
break." Dana shakes her head and looks down so she doesnt say something she
will regret.
"Matthew, you left me and the children and didnt ever contact us, thats
abandonment. And besides, you have no claim to me anymore...so dont even try
that sweet talk." She looks up glaring at the viewscreen. Matthew leans
forward, "Dana people make mistakes." Dana snorts, "You have to be kidding,
You have never even meet your son, well I shouldnt even call him your son, he
is my son, you have no claim to him either." Matthews squirms
unconfortablely, "Ah well, he is my flesh and I do plan to see him and
Courtney." Dana stands back up and almost shouts, "Over my dead body, listen
there are some things you need to know, First of all I am re-married and he
is the father to my children so dont even think of trying to get any
visitation to them. I will fight it tooth and nail. And second, you have no
more been a father to my children then you were a husband to me...so there is
no
reason for to you ever contact me again." Matthew sits back blown away.
"Re-married? When?" Dana smiles evily, "Why Matthew? What does it
matter...I am no longer a Henson, so there is nothing else I owe you." He
sits forward and frowns,"You cant keep my from my kids." Dana narrows her
eyes, "Wanna make a bet? You just try me." Matthew gets a little loud.
"You know I am not afraid of you Dana, and you can bet on me trying." Dana
chuckles,
"You know how pathetic you are...using the kids to get back at me. What a
mistake you turned out to be." Matthew raises a brow, "Well shall see." He
clicks off the transmission. Dana takes a deep breath and leans back against
the desk. She is standing there for several minutes when she hears the doors
to her quarters open and a lot of laughter. She stands up and pulls herself
together and walks out to the main living area to greet her husband
and children. "Well hello you all, how was the holodeck?" jKoel smiles and
sets Dimitri down on the floor and looks back up, "Great...you know they can
really tire someone out." Dana looks amused, "You think?" He walks over and
takes her in his arms and kisses her sweetly, "So did you get all your work
done?" Dana nods and kisses him back. She leans down and picks up Dimitri
and holds him closely. jKoel looks at her oddly, "Whats wrong?"
Dana shakes her head, "We will talk about it later, lets get these two to
bed." He nods and picks Courtney up and swings her around. She squeals the
whole time and claps her hands together. Dana and jKoel put the two children
to bed and then walk back out into the main living area and sit down on the
couch. "Ok, so whats up?" He asks concerned. Dana sighs and looks down,
"Matthew contacted me today." Blinking, j'Koel wraps his arms around her.
"What did he have to say?" he whispers. Dana shakes her head and watches his
reaction. "He says he wants visiting rights.. j'Koel.. he might try to even
contest my.. our gaurdianship.." He shakes his head, eyes wide. "Over my dead
body.." She smiles softly, hugging him. "Those were my exact words." He
caresses her cheek and smiles back. "Dana.. don't worry. He won't come
withing twelve parsecs of these kids without a phaser aimed at his forhead..
I
promise you.. I'll call in some old favors.. we'll know if and when he's
comming.." He kisses her gently. "He's not going to get to these kids.."

SELAH TARVA
9801.24

Selah and Sean watched as Killian left her quarters pinning up her hair as
she headed for the bridge to begin her shift.
Sean whispered "Now is our chance."
They had tried many times over the past week to gain access to Killians'
quarters only to almost get discovered. This was going to be their last
attempt before Sean had to leave. They hurried across the corridor and
accessed her quarters.
Selah got out his tricorder "You search in here I'll take the bed room." Sean
nodded and began to scan and search the room carefully. Being sure to place
everything back in it's place. "Dammit! I don't see anything in here" Sean
spat frustrated.
From the other room came Selah's voice. "Uh Sean...Could you come here
please?" "What is it?" Sean asked as he moved quickly into the bed room to
see the Lt. kneeling beside the bed with a box. "Is that what I think it is?"
"Yep. We've found the box." Inside the box was a sealed terrarium filed with
soil. There was no sign of plant life."Go to the replicator and get water ...
quickly" Sean ran to the other room to retrieve the water.
"Computer raise room lighting by 75%" Selah said as he carefully lifted
the box and sat it on a table. The lights went from a dim glow to a glaring
floodlight. " Could you get it any brighter in here?" Sean asked squinting as
he returned with a container filled with H2O. "We don't want to take any
chances with this stuff." Selah slowly opened the top of the case. "Pour the
water in Sean." Sean did as he was asked and soon the box was filled with
athick, mud like paste. "Well, according to Jared's instructions that should
take care of that." " Not quite we still need to find the gemstone.." Sean
said looking around the room. Spotting Killian's trophy box. The trunk in
which she kept memorabilia from the past he swiftly moved to pick the lock.
Inside were things that neither of them had ever seen before. Articles of
clothing, medals, artifacts, small mechanisms whose use could only be guessed
at and a small pouch.....way in the bottom. Sean reaching for it "As they say
on earth Bingo...." "HOLD ON DON"T TOUCH IT !!!!" Selah snapped as he scanned
the pouch with his Tricorder. 'Yep there is a gemstone of unknown material
inside this pouch of...human skin." "Yuck..I don't even want toknow where she
got this.." Sean whispered stepping back almost as if he were afraid of being
contaminated.
=/\= "Computer. Beam this pouch and it's contents to Medlab one enclose in a
containment field level nine."
They watched as the pouch shimmered and disappeared.
=/\= Esn O'Reilly to Lt. Selah we have received your "package"
....introducing the blood sample donated by you..... Floodlights are
on....Activating the compression beam now...."
A moment of silence.
"Beaming the powdered remains out into space on wide dispersal."
=/\= "Good work Ensign. Lt. Selah out"
Sean looking at Tarva concerned. "What about the rest of the cure?"
The Starfleet Lt. stands and smoothes out his uniform. "I already had Dr Mac
"prescribe" her the ointment with instructions to apply to her skin daily.
Sean smiles "You are as sly as a Ferengi in a Dabo tournament..." Then his
smile fades "Well that's all well and good but now we have to get Killian to
drink the tea."
"I wouldn't worry about that even as we speak that is being taken care of."
Selah said with a sly smile.

On the bridge Commander Killian Sylver sat in the command chair. Her shift
has been pretty routine so far. Things were running smoothly and she was
beginning to actually feel a little better physically. Maybe there was a
chance she would get through this thing she thought to her self as she sipped
a cup of tea. Tris had done it again. This unique blend seemed to ease away
all of the irritation that had plagued her since her infection.
Yes, she thought to herself, she would definitely have to get the
recipe...

Selah walked into his quarters. He was a bit surprised at the turn of
events. The past few weeks had been a whirlwind. The rash of transfers the
promotion to 1st Lt, being appointed CMO it seemed to be happening so fast.
He was very proud that Cap Torres and Lt Cdr Kjoel had such trust in him. He
just hoped that he would not let them down.
Flopping down across his bed he stretched. Man it had been quite awhile
since he had been to the Holodeck for a workout. He would have to make it a
point to spend sometime there....soon. Change....Good or bad it's inevitable.
Sometimes it's how we react to it that makes all the difference in the world.

SELAH TARVA

Selah sat in his new office just looking. Not at anything in particular
but then again at everything. He now shouldered the responsibility for the
medical well being of the entire crew of the USS Columbia. Dr Mac ..now Dr
Nelson had run a efficient team of Med techs in which Selah had been proud to
be a part of. But events had happened so fast...one day he was a member next
day he was in charge. Hewas nervous, anxious and proud all at the same time.
The fact that the Captain and the XO trusted him enough had the faith in him
to place him in a position such as this made him confident that he could
handle anything that would come his way. But right now he had to get ready
for the wedding ceremony....Damn...he would have to run the diagnostic checks
later... oh well such is the life of a CMO... He chuckled to himself as he
walked out into thelab.

The wind blew across the arid Vulcan plain. Selah felt the sting of the
sand as it beat against his skin. He had been here for what felt like weeks.
He had recently been having difficulty concentrating. There was a constant
feeling of a presence in the far edge of his conciousness. Strain as he might
he could not seem to grasp it. It always seemed to remain just out of his
reach. He had the vagueimpression it had something to do with Killian...and
someone else....someone in his family. Deeper..deeper past the edge of his
midscape he pressed. Suddenly he received the impression of a group of ships
...like a swarm pursuing a shuttle...
The ships were small and very quick and maneuverable. They easily caught up
with the shuttle and began to fire weapons on it. Who was on this
shuttle...what was it's importance....all of a sudden in a burst of psychic
energy Selah saw the face of the pilot...it was Toaja...the mother of his and
Killians' grandson Julio. She was frantically trying to ward off the attack
of the small craft but they outnumbered the shuttle 20 to one. He watched as
shepressed a button and a temporal warp opened up and the shuttle slipped in
just as a shot from the midst of the swarm hit the starboard nacelle
rupturing it......
=/\= Sickbay to LT Selah=/\=
=/\= What is it? Selah said snapping out of his trance.
=/\= Problem with Dr Salina's last prenatal reading. I think you should take
a look at it.=/\=
Sighing to himself. =/\= I'm on my way. Selah out=/\=
"Computer halt Holodeck program. Save as Selah IV."
Walking out of the holodeck as the familiar gridlines appeared to replace
the dry Vulcan desert, Selah wiped his face with a towel. He had the feeling
that this was just the begining. This thing was far from over.....

Informational Rest Stop
Log by Ensign Ephiny Tyris

Stardate 9803.02
Jupiter Station, Sol System

There was a thunk as the transport vessel Centuar IV touched down on the
landing pad. Ensign Ephiny Tyris woke up with a start as the back of her
head thumped against her seat. Grumbling slightly, she rubbed her head and
looked around groggily. "What's going on?" she asked, nudging Ensign William
Philips who was sitting next to her. Billy turned towards the Elerian with a
grin.
"Talking to me now, eh?"
Ephiny glowered and elbowed him hard. "Just tell me what's going on."
Billy shrugged and rubbed his arm gingerly.
"I guess the transport is picking up some more people before we head out of
the system." He glanced at the chrono and grinned. "I'm getting out to
stretch my legs a little bit. You coming?"
The Elerian woman nodded and made her way towards the door. A red-uniformed
Lieutenant stood there, holding a PADD, and checking off all the names of
anyone who left the transport. Probably so he can contact anyone who's not
back on the transport by launch time, Ephiny thought to herself, stepping
into line behind Billy.
"Full name, please," the Lieutenant asked in a bored tone. As he starts to
yawn, he accidently drops his pen. The Lieutenant then reached down to pick
up the pen and then, like a total klutz, the Terran hits the back of his head
on the underside of one of the consoles.
"Ensign Phillips, William," Billy told the Lieutenant with a loud snicker.
"Say, Lieutenant, you flying helm on this thing?"
The Lieutenant glared nastily. "Get moving. Be back in 10 minutes or the
Centuar is taking off without you." Billy flashed him a cocky grin and
wandered out the exit. Ephiny rolled her eyes with a sigh.
"Ensign Tyris, Ephiny," she said to the Lieutenant with a smile. "And,
please don't mind my friend. He's an idiot."
The red-uniformed Terran grinned and nodded. "All right, Ensign. You've
got about 10 minutes before we take off again. You, I might wait for. But
not for that Ensign Philips, understood?"
Ephiny nodded with a grin, and stepped out into the crowded docking ring.
She couldn't see past the crowd so the Elerian let her eyes drift close and
mentally prodded the area.
~~Dang, I'm hungry. Food, food, food, food . . .~~
The Elerian's eyes popped open and grinned. "Billy, I can sense you
anywhere." And with a laugh, she hurried over to the section of resturants
on the otherside of the docking ring. Ephiny didn't get very far before she
felt a sudden chill down her back. Whirling around, she scanned the crowd
for anyone that looked suspicious. Finally, Ephiny just scolded herself for
her sudden paranoia. But she felt that chill again and a sense of urgancy
filled her. Hurrying forward, Ephiny didn't realize where she was going
until she slammed right into Billy.
The Terran looked down at Ephiny, his mouth filled with food and two hot
dogs in one hand. "What's up?" he asked, chewing loudly. Ephiny opened her
mouth to explain but then quickly closed it again. What was she going to
say? The Elerian shook her head and scolded herself even more.
"It's nothing, it's just that—" Out of the corner of her eye, Ephiny
suddenly caught sight of a robed figure. Elerian robes, religious clothing .
. .
Pushing her way through the crowd, she made her way around the figure and
stepped in front of him, holding her family's ceremonial sword. Ephiny
pointed the sword at the man's chest, glowering.
"All those without the Right of Caste are not allowed to leave the
homeworld. You know that as well as I do. Identify yourself."
The man arched an eyebrow and pulled his robes tighter around him. "Well,
it's not like anyone has to know. I can make everyone see whatever I want
them to see. To everyone else but you, I look like some old lady."
Ephiny glared and stepped forward so that the tip of her sword touched his
chest. "That's not my point. Unless you have permission, you're not suppose
to be here. Identify yourself."
"Ro'an of Clan Tyris," the robed figure replied with a sigh. Ephiny looked
stunned for a moment and put down her sword. "Son of Lady Shela. And, I do
have premission to be here, for your information. From Lady Kyren herself."

Ephiny scowled darkly. "Kyren? What the hell does Mother want? She didn't
send you here to baby-sit me, did she?"
Ro'an hesistated. "Well, that depends." He paused as some random civilian
walked by and continued his sentence telepathically. ~~I'm not here to
baby-sit you if you're talking about your little Federation assignment. I'm
here because Clan Rayan declared a feud on our clan two days ago. Lady Kyren
wanted to make sure that you were okay.~~
~~What?! Mother doesn't even think that I can take care of myself?!~~
Ephiny scowled even deeper and gripped her sword's hilt tightly. ~~You tell
her that—~~
Ro'an shooked his head and hissed, "It's not that. Clan Rayan is trying to
earn the Right of Caste. To do that, they have to defeat another clan.
Hence, the feud."
A light of understanding filtered into Ephiny's mind. "I was challenged
this morning by a member of Clan Rayan. But . . . why us?"
"We're small and only with a couple of warriors. The rest of our clan that
does have the Right of Caste have already earned the status of warlord, and—"

"And warriors can't challenge warlords," Ephiny finished. "That makes me a
perfect target because I doubt I'm ever going to earn that status. Plus, the
rest of the warriors in our clan are serving Lady Kyren's army in the J'ho
Territories right now. If Clan Rayan challenges any of them, my mother has
the Right of Vengence."
Ro'an nodded and smiled. "Good, you understand. Clan Rayan only has one
member with the Right of Caste right now. She only got it because she fought
off a raid on a convey owned by her clan. Your mother figured she'd come
after you so I was sent to warn you—"
"Too late," Ephiny interrupted with a scowl. "Sasha already found me. She
was the one that challenged me this morning." Ro'an suddenly concerned.
"You didn't yield to her, did you? If you did, that means our clan might
loose its own Right of Caste."
Ephiny looked uncomfortable. "No, I didn't yield, but I demanded that Sasha
did. She said she would, but as soon as I started to leave, she charged me.
And then . . ."
"And then what?" Ro'an prompted impaitently. Ephiny gave him a helpless
look.
"And then a friend of mine stunned her."
"What?!"
"Well! It couldn't be helped!"
"I can't believe that—"
Just then, Billy trotted by, chewing on what looked like a pizza. With his
mouth full, he called, "Hey, Ephiny. Our 10 minutes are almost up! Come on,
you have to give this a taste!" He walked over and nudged Ro'an aside.
"Move it, old hag."
Ro'an glowered but said nothing because of his disguise. At least I know
the telepathy disguise trick works on Terrans, Ephiny thought with a chuckle.
"Billy, that was mean. Apologize."
Billy shrugged and shoved the pizza in Ro'an's face. "Sorry, want a pizza?"
Ro'an wrinkled his nose and walked away.
~~Disgusting manners. Don't spend too much time with the Terrans, Ephiny.~~
Ephiny grinned after Ro'an. ~~Don't worry.~~ Glancing at Billy, she let
out a laugh. "Billy, you're such an idiot."

LtCdrCourt: I doubt it. Has Matthew ever seen Dimitri?
CptDTorres: ::shakes her head::No...never.
LtCdrCourt: You've got a strong case. Most judges will send the kids to the

LtCdrCourt: :::Crosses her arms::I won't tell you then
CptDTorres: ::chuckles::Ah pretty please....
LtCdrCourt: We've narrowed it down to two choices. Daniel or Daven
CptDTorres: ::grins::Good names...
LtCdrCourt: Which one do you like the best?
CptDTorres: I think whatever you like the best is what I like the best.
LtCdrCourt: I don't know. Jarvis like Daven and Alezis like Daniel
CptDTorres: ::grins::Daniel is a good name...suppose that would be my name if
I was born a male.
LtCdrCourt: I don't know what I'm going to do. Audrey knows something is up,
and she is not happy
CptDTorres: ::chuckles::you know I wanna see those kids soon!! Hey so what
does you sister think? She happy to be an aunt again?
LtCdrCourt: She's happy, since she wasn't around when Audrey was born.
LtCdrCourt: I havn't taked to her that much really. Jarvis said he's talked

CptDTorres: ::chuckles::It must be nice..I am sure I will never get to be an
aunt again::frowns::
LtCdrCourt: No but you'll get to be a godmother again
CptDTorres: ::raises a brow::Again? When was I before?
LtCdrCourt: well the girls always looked to you as one
CptDTorres: ::chuckles::Well they are good girls...
CptDTorres: ::holds up a hand::Wait a minute are you asking me to be the new
little ones godmother?
LtCdrCourt: :::nods:::Yes
CptDTorres: ::sits back with a dopey grin::Really?
LtCdrCourt: Please?
CptDTorres: ::leans forward::You dont need to say please I would be honored
to do it.
LtCdrCourt: Reminds me. I'm sending you Jarvis's adressee for when he's off
planet.
CptDTorres: ::nods::Ok...why?
LtCdrCourt: If he's off planet when I'm visiting, that's where I usually am.
LtCdrCourt: Also in case there's an emergency or something
CptDTorres: ::frowns::You need to contact me in enough time before you go
into labor you hear me...
CptDTorres: I will be there...
CptDTorres: ::smiles::Well I mean if you want me there.
LtCdrCourt: Of course I do
CptDTorres: ::nods and smiles::

CptDTorres: ::looks back toward the door::Oh great...kids are waking up..
LtCdrCourt: I got to be on duty in a while anyways. I'll talk to you later.
And make sure you tell me
LtCdrCourt: when the court case is

The Arrival
Stardate 9803.02

Aaron Steele walked onto the deck of Jupiter station, and set his
belongings down in a chair next to him. All the many different lifeforms
around made him a little tense, since he usually made it a point not to
expose himself to strangers unless absolutely neccessary.
He sat down, and began to turn his head this way and that, looking for
any suspicious behavior. In his peripheral vision, he noticed two humanoids
trying to hide from his sight. They looked as if they were trying to
casually spy on him. Aaron looked around, trying to find a way to lose them.
Slowly and easily, he slid out of his chair, grabbed his things, and hurried
to a nearby restroom. Once inside, he ran into a stall and locked himself
in. He sat there, quietly, until he heard the two gentlemen walk inside.
They searched the room, and walked over to the stalls. Aaron watched the
bottom of the door, waiting for them to come near him. Once he saw a pair of
feet, he pulled out his phaser, and bent his legs back. Before the man could
move, he sprung his legs forward and kicked open the door, knocking the
pursuer down.
Aaron then jumped out of the stall, and began firing at his second
pursuer. To his surprise he wasn't there. He slowly moved around the
bathroom, and looked out the door. Suddenly from behind, he felt an arm wrap
around his neck, trying to choke him. "What the hell?" Aaron managed to say,
struggling to keep the arm from cutting off his air supply.
Aaron could almost hear the voice smiling, "Thought you could get away?"
Aaron growled and quickly brought the back of his fist to his attackers
face, making him let go of Aaron's neck. As his attacker tried to regain his
balance, Aaron brought his leg up and kicked him in the face a few times. He
then caught him offguard, and punched him, knocking him out cold.
After dragging the unconscious body into a stall, he made his way over to
the first attacker and bent over him. The man was small, and looked as if he
had been in many fights. His face was red and bloody where the impact of the
stall door had hit him.
"Wakey Wakey," Aaron smiled. He kicked him, and slowly he began to wake
up.
"Wha?" the man suddenly became aware, and backed up to a wall.
"Who the Hell are you?" Aaron demanded, still rubbing his neck from the
choke.
The man shook his head and laughed. "Wouldn't you like to know?"
"Actually, yeah, I would," Aaron snapped.
"Wouldn't we all," he responded. The man then pulled out a phaser and
pointed it at his head. He pulled the trigger, and died in an instant.
Aaron growled and grabbed his things out of the stall. He looked back at
the dead body and casually strolled out of the bathroom. Looking around for
a moment, he noticed a yellow uniformed security officer. Aaron walked up to
the young man and began talking to him. "Their was some kind of brawl in the
bathroom," he told him, "some guys were fighting and one of them was shot."
The officer's eyes widened, "Really? There normally isn't much action on
this station."
He gave a small grin. "I had to knock one of them out to keep him from
hurting himself, he's in one of the stalls."
"Thanks," the officer said, "I'll check it out."
As soon as the man was out of sight, Aaron began walking to his awaiting
transport.

A Quiet Moment
Log by Ephiny Tyris

Stardate 9803.09
Ensign Tyris' Quarters

Ensign Ephiny Tyris strode into her quarters after her duty shift, prepared
to spend the rest of the night relaxing. But as soon as she walked in
through the doors, Ensign William Philips threw a duffel bag at her.
"Billy!" Ephiny yelled angrily, catching the duffel bag in both arms. Her
slivery blue eyes flashed angrily. "Don't you know the meaning of privacy?"
When Billy didn't say anything, Ephiny swallowed her anger. He looked tense
and rigid. "What is it?" she asked finally.
"Your roommate is coming aboard soon," Billy told her, gesturing to the
duffel bag. It looked familiar to Ephiny. The Elerian turned it about in
her hands, noting the Defense Force logo on the side.
"This is Sito Riley's stuff."
Billy nodded as Ephiny looked at him with a quizzical expression. "I also
found out that I was going to be sharing a room with Eros Johnson. And
remember Maca'hzar? He's going to be Aaron Steele's roommate."
Ephiny glanced at her Terran friend, noticing that he looked paler than he
usually did. A quick mental probe didn't help the telepathic Elerian much,
for Billy was experiencing so much inner turmoil, Ephiny didn't know what to
make of it. "Why are they all being assigned here? Aboard the Columbia?"
Ephiny asked finally. Billy twisted his hands together for a moment and then
absently dropped them by his side, clenching them into fists.
"Something about this being the only ship that could use the sudden surge of
personnel," he replied softly, kind of staring off into the distance. Billy
was clenching his hands so hard that his knuckles were turning white. As if
answering Ephiny's unspoken question, Billy continued, "What if what happened
at Point K happens again, Ephiny? I wouldn't be able to bear it . . ." His
voice actually started to crack. Ephiny couldn't believe it. Here
was one of the people that Ephiny hated the most because of his intelligence,
his extreme common sense and responsibility towards his duties and towards
others. Billy had been the honcho of her academic squadron, so suave,
handling everything easily. And when this reemergence of his past suddenly
became a reality, Billy was actually about to have an emotional breakdown.
Ephiny put down her things and walked over to the Terran. And for the first
time since meeting up again, she showed her extremely rare sensitive side of
her personality. The Elerian woman reached up and hugged Billy tightly.
"Hey, it's okay. It won't happen again. You've got to trust in that."
Billy returned the hug, but Ephiny could feel that he was still tense. "I
don't want them here, Ephiny," he whispered. "I don't want the
responsibility. Not here, not again . . ."
Ephiny pulled back and grinned. "That's why men shouldn't be in the
military. Didn't I tell you that you were inferior a long time ago?"
Despite himself, Billy smiled.
"Yeah, I'm sure, Ephiny." With a sigh, he started towards the door. "I
better get going. I'm already late for my duty shift." Ephiny nodded and
watched him walk out, leaving her to ponder for a quiet moment.

Small Universe, Big Meeting
Joint log by Ens. Tyris & Ens. Steele

Stardate 9803.02
Jupiter Station, Docking Ring

Glaring at William Philips, Ephiny Tyris grabbed a slice of pizza from his
hand. Ignoring his protests, she took a bite out of it. "Come on, let's get
going. Our transport is about to leave." Billy nodded and satisfied himself
with the other two pieces of pizza he was carrying.

On the other side of the docking ring, Aaron Steele was looking behind him,
making sure that no one was following him. On the intercom, a female's voice
announces, "The transport vessel Centaur IV is leaving in 2 minutes."
Grabbing his stuff, Aaron dashes towards the docking bay, trying to get past
Security without too much hassle. Unfortunately, he had been unable to check
out his baggage earlier and now had to waste a precious minute going through
customs. Impatiently, the human waited for his baggage to be cleared. As
soon as it was, Aaron hurried towards where the Centaur was docked.

Ephiny swallows a piece of her pizza and hearing the announcement, she
starts to toss the crust away. Billy, however, grabbed the pizza crust from
her hands and stuffs it into his mouth. Disgusted, the Elerian glared at her
friend. "Pig."
The blond-haired man only smiled. Rolling her eyes, Ephiny gestured towards
their transport and they both made a dash for it. Unfortunately, both Ephiny
Tyris and Aaron Steele ran towards the Centaur in perpendicular angles, and
smacked right into each other.
Aaron stumbles, tripping over his duffel bag. Ephiny staggers for a bit,
dazed, until she feels Billy's hand on her shoulder, steadying her. She
glanced up at her old comrade, who fixed a gaze on Aaron.
"Hey, look who we've, err, you've bumped in to!" Even though Billy was
smiling warmly, Aaron suddenly got a suspicious look about him and started to
check his pockets and his baggage for anything missing. Ephiny just stared
dumbly at him for a moment before she was able to match a face with a name.
"Private Aaron Steele." Her expression was neutral. "Or is it Ensign now?
Just like us, I suppose." Then slowly, a faint smile formed on the Elerian's
face. "Small universe." Billy's grin widens and he punches Aaron in a
friendly way in the shoulder.
"Long time no see!"
Startled, Aaron's immediate reaction was punching Billy back, although not
in such a friendly manner. "Who are you?" His gaze flickers over to Ephiny
and a flash of recognition filters into his mind. "You, I remember. Ephiny
Tigris is it?"
Ephiny only glared. "Shared barracks for a few months, and you can't even
remember my name." ~~Men~~, she added silently to herself with annoyance.
Aaron only shrugged.
"Sorry, but last names aren't my strong suit." A grin crept into his face,
and Ephiny only scowled deeper. Billy stepped behind the Elerian woman and
reached over to pinch both her cheeks.
In a teasing tone, he asked, "How can you forget a cutie like her?"
Ephiny's eyes widened and she elbowed Billy as hard as she could in the gut.
Billy doubled over and the Elerian whipped around, back-fisting him across
the face. He collapsed to his knees on the ground. Aaron raised an eyebrow.

"I take it you two have a special bond." Before Ephiny could reply, Billy
looked up and started laughing.
Glowering darkly, Ephiny muttered sarcastically, "Funny." With a sigh, she
looked around. "The Centaur's about to leave, you know. Let's get moving."

Aaron nodded and the three made a dash for the transport. Ephiny and Aaron
made it first, and hurried into their seats.
"Nice to see you haven't changed," commented Aaron as he set down his
duffel bag gently. Just then, Billy made a show of sprinting in, leaping
across the aisles, and crashing into his seat. Aaron glanced with amusement
at Billy and added, "Kind of wished he had though."
Billy straightened himself up with a grin and points at Ephiny. "Hey, the
only way to keep her from being so cold and mean all the time is to embarrass
her in public." He glanced over at the Elerian, who now had her face buried
in her hands. "Which I'm doing," he continued, winking at Aaron. Aaron gave
Billy a wary look.
"You've really thought this out, haven't you?" Muttering something, Aaron
absently reaches down to rummage through his bag. A small Capuchin monkey
suddenly sticks his head out. Chattering, the monkey reaches his arms up
towards Aaron.
Ephiny, startled at the sight of the prime mate, yelps and swiftly pulls out
her sword. "What the hell is that thing?!" With a grunt, she starts to
bring the sword down on the poor animal's skull, but Billy reaches up and
catches her by the wrists.
"Chill," he told her calmly, taking her sword gently from her. His boyish
and carefree manner was suddenly replaced by mature professionalism. A
quality that Ephiny had come to resent over the years.
The Capuchin monkey screams with fear and ducks back inside the duffel bag.
Alarmed, Aaron gets up, snatching his bag out of Ephiny's reach. "Hey! What
are you doing?!"
Breathing heavily, Ephiny glances at Billy and then at Aaron. She didn't
answer but flushed deeply. Aaron looks around and now realizes that everyone
on the transport was staring at them. Begrudgingly, the human sits back
down, holding his bag close to him. "I promise, it won't hurt you," he told
Ephiny softly with an amused grin. Grinning also, Billy holds out Ephiny's
sword.
Snatching her sword from Billy's hand, Ephiny seethes resentfully, "Men!"
"Elerians!" Aaron growls.
Billy could only snicker.

Dana Torres walks into her ready room and scans the room, looking at her
various trophys on the walls and on shelves around the room. Its the Klingon
way for her to present her trophys in this manner. She takes a seat behind a
large black marble desk and looks down at the console that shows the Dominion
Ferderated Planets symbol. She rubs her hands together and taps her star
shaped com badge..."Commander jKoel..transfer the data taken from the
other Columbia to my console and join me in my ready room." She waits for a
response and then finally, "In a minute your highness..." he mutters. She
squares her jaw and reply's, "What was that Commander?" He answer by walking
into the ready room and tossing a PADD on her desk, "I said of course
Captain." He sneer. She looks up at him an evil glare in her eyes and then
picks up the PADD, "So have the external changes been made?" He
leans up against the walls and just nods. "Yeah." Her face starts to turn
red with anger but she bites her lip to maintain control, "Has the rest of
the crew been informed about their other selves lives?" He just nods. She
looks up. "When are you gonna do something about that hidious eye patch? You
do realize the other jKoel is not as undiciplined as well." He stands up and
walks over to the desk, "The other jKoel also seems to actually
like your better half too, so what are you planning on doing about that?"
Dana sits back in her chair with an evil grin, "Nothing that would benefit
you, that I am sure of. Just read the info and play your part and you and I
wont have any problems." She laughs and leans forward, "Or next time I wont
stop at taking an eye." He stands up straight and frowns, "You know you are
a evil person, I dont know how in the hell you are gonna pull this
one off, but dont worry about me, I will play my part. You just better get
us the victory you promised. " She stands,her Klingon pride taking about all
it can from this man. "You might be my mate, so you think you can talk to me
in this manor, but believe me I have no problems with being a widow. " she
sneers. He smiles like the rogue he is and backs down. "Of course dear
wife, of course, I will see to the crew and make sure they review their
information." Dana just glares at him as he backs out of her ready room.
She sits back down and starts to go over the information about her other half
and frowns the whole time.

The evil Selah smiled to himself as he stood in his office in sickbay. Ensign
Tron was an idiot to think that he could even begin to match his mental
abilities. He had learned over the years that Betazoids tended to belive that
they where the most powerful when it came to Psychic ability. Popularity and
notoriety does not mean power.

His abilities had come from genetic experiments done by the Cardassians in
the first half of their conquest of their quadrant . He unlike Bajorans
believe that the Cardassian Empire was the best thing to happen to Bajor.
Though they had been one of the first races to achieve space travel they had
lost their warrior nature and become both spiritual and artisitic. There had
been a few small rebellions over the years by unsatisfied Bajorans but they
had
quickly been crushed by the Cardassians with the help of liasons such as his
father. A Provincial alderman who gave his son to the Cardassian science
institute for genetic studies. Most would be angry and resentful but Selah
was grateful. It was this that had made him the powerful agent that he was.
Using his mental power to further his career in the Federation of
Cardassians, Jem hadar and their compatriots had allowed him to make powerful
friends
in influential positions.

The fact that this simple minded, Genetic joke would even consider defying
him amused Tarva. That was the only thing that kept him from reducing him to
a mindless, whimpering stooge. He simply made life interesting.
Stroking his chin with one hand as he placed his other on the hilt of his
dagger that he usually wore on his side, he made a mental note.
If Tron continued on the path that he was on he would have to teach him a
lesson.
A hard...possibly fatal one.

Selah (of the Federation controlled space) had been working long hours along
with Ens Tron to find a way to get back home. They had been stranded here for
a few weeks now and the crew was beginning to feel the stress of being behind
"enemy lines". Fights had been breaking out among the crew.. The command
staff had very efficiently tried to keep the USS Columbia running like
business as usual but the ends were begining to unravel and fray. It was
Selah's belief that if they didn't return to their proper dimension things
would get continually worse.
It was pure luck that they had been able to avoid contact with any other
ships so far. Luck had been their lynchpin so far. But luck will only carry
you so far. Had their free ride come to an end?

Well a new day and a new ship! The crew didn't say much when a new crewman
came abord even though they were stuck in an alternate universe! So much the
better, they wouldn't believe my story anyhow. And if it were not for Section
31 Starfleet would have put me in the funny farm. I have had little time to
socialize yet because I got the ship back to the right universe and now I am
helping to fix the damage caused in the transfer. I hope I
can find so sort of freindship or even companionship. It might be hard
because I have little in common with 24th century humans (much less aliens).
Maybe we will get shore leave after we get back to the Alpha Quadrant and
that will give me time to get to know the Columbia crew.

baseball with Captain Sisco. The Captain and the very intresting Lt. Triana
met an old friend who we had to bring in from a bad shuttle. So that
left me in charge with Tron and Canine to get our supplies abord. Tron knew
Quark and actually let him see some of his money (never a good idea) and was
intrested in checking out the Dabo tables (and the ladies!). By the time we
got the airlock open and the supplies in it was time to go off shift. A good
thing it was too because the beautiful Lt. Triana wanted to know why no one
was on the bridge!" He flips the book on the table and stood up to go to
bed. "Tron wanted me to take a physical, maybe if I get his money back from
Quark I won't have to come up with a story as to why no one must EVER take my
physical. End log!" He throws his uniform off and collapses.

Panzer enters his quarters and locks the door. He then walks threw his
living room, past his book shelf with old earth books written by people like
Nixon, Regan, Jefferson, Clausewitz, and others, he walks past his XVIII
century Louis XIV desk with matching chair and into his bedroom. He sits down
on his 4-poster bed and looks at his portraits of George S. Patton and Ayn
Rand and sighs. "Computer start log," he says while he sits on his bed.
"Today, I had a problem when I was caught in a fire. Tron went crazy when I
wouldn't go to Sickbay. He wouldn't believe why I wouldn't go, none of them
would. They cannot understand that through my own force of will and mental
concentration I can not only heal any wounds I my have, but I can travel time
and universes. They still didn't notice that I came abord while the ship was
in an alternate universe. The real reason I didn't go to sickbay was
because the doctors might notice that my Universal Vibration Signature was
not the same as theirs. This was very tricky when Canine came to Engineering
and gave me a long lecture about duty and responsability. It took everything
I had not to laugh! Imagine a wet-behind-the-ears rookie telling me about
duty!!!! I have saved more Omniverses than days he has been alive!!!!!! I am
glad he cares, but I was able to duck out of a check-up even after I said
I would go. This "Federation" doesn't have much individual freedom, not as
much as I like." He walks over to a desk by his bed and picks up his
autographed "Babe" Ruth baseball. "If they force the issue I must once again
resign my Starfleet commision." He throws the basball into the bulkhead and
it bounces back to him. "End Log."

Ensign Mary Jane Oskar stumbled into her quarters and her face gloomed over
in depression. "What have I gotten myself in?!" she gasped loudly as she
collasped on her bed. She closed her eyes and thought of her home, she could
almost see the sea gulls circle the deep blue ocean and hear the roll of the
waves lap at the shoreline. She opened her eyes and looked to the side,
seeing her over-stuffed duffle bag and thinking to herself she
ought to start unpacking. She rolled off the bed and picked up one of her
saxophone cases and then tried to pick up her bag to put on the bed, but as
she took a step forward she tripped on the other sax case and dropped the
first on her foot. With a loud yelp of pain she jumped on one foot and lost
her balence, her duffle bag came crashing to the floor and it's contents
burst out in a spray of underware and make-up. She fell sharply to the floor
and lay there for a second, all twisted up into a werid angle. She blinked
twice and loudly shouted, "I hate this!" With a huff and a pout she finally
got up and looked at the hapless mess on the floor. A few pictures were
scattered and one caught her eye and she glared at it, "this is all your
fault!" She picked up the picture of her X boyfriend, "If it wasn't for you,
I could be at home, happy, but NOOOoooooo I just had to get away from your
ugly face!" She looked sadly at it then. With a sigh she lay down on her
bed and growled, "Computer open the damn log"

The holodeck was quite entertaining and some work out but still the
holoklingons don't put up much of a fight compared to real Klingons. Still,
the workout was nice, but another thing, my quarters, I hate my quarters,
they are too comfortable....to "human". Although I say that I and part human
myself but I'll always think of myself as a "Klingon". I requested smaller
quarters but I was told these were the smallest available so I guess I will
have live with what I have. In one week I will be transfered to Science and
hopefully up for promotion, but I won't get to cocky until it happens, if it

Ensign Mary Jane Oskar walked around the ship. She had only planned on
going for a short walk before going to bed but after a few minutes of
venturing around the ship she had found herself lost. It wouldn't have been
so bad if she had been dressed for it. Since she was off work and only
lounging around she had on only a tiny tank top and pale yellow drawstring
shorts. Just then FstLt Jon Cain walked by and looked
at her and grinned slightly. Mary Jane was lost for a brief second in his
eyes then she said softly, "I'm lost."
He chuckled, "Well I just have to feed my cats, then I'll be glad to show
you the way." his voice was pleasant to listen to, but she detected a sort of
sadness hidden deep inside. After a minute or so, he emerged from his
quarters with a piece of cat food on his cheek. He laughed then wiped the
piece off. They walked in silence for a few minutes and he led her up to her
quarters. Mary Jane swallowed and asked him to come in for a cup of tea.
He smiled down at her and graciously accepted.
As she walked in and looked around he saw clothes and various other
paraphernalia scattered about the room and then at her bed. He took one look
and burst out laughing. Mary Jane looked over at her bed and remembers that
her little pillow fort that she had built was still proudly standing. She
bit her lower lip and the tried to explain why it was there, but Jon only
grinned and said. "I'll help you take it down," Mary Jane was utterly
embarrassed as she took each pillow and set them gently back down. Jon's
eyes wandered across what she was wearing then leaned over for the last
pillow. Mary Jane reached over at the same time and his hand clasped over
hers. Looking into her eyes he suddenly leaned forward and kissed her,
slowly. At first Mary Jane was surprised, but it felt so right....

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ensign Farmington rang MaryJane's doorbell, he was ordered to deliver
the news that her transfer to ships counselor had gone through. He heard a
stumble then Jane answered the door with a towel rapped around her.
"Oh hi." Said Farmington hesitantly.
"May I help you?"
"Uh… this came for you" Farmington handed her a padd and said, "Have a
nice day." Then he began to walk down the corridor when he saw Jon tucking in
his shirt then securing his comm badge back on.
Jon began to exit MaryJane's quarters then his face turned red when he
saw Farmington staring. "As you were Ensign!"
Farmington scuttled off down the corridor….
::smiles:: Drinking the bloodwine made me feel like Klingon, not half
than I'd felt, since....., since......Kelli. Then to top it off being stuck
in the one of the holodecks with Starbuuk, wasn't so bad although I hate
holographic Bat`leths and the fighters were holograms but its almost as if I
enjoyed killing those fighters on the holodeck. Its a good thing they were
just holograms :: gives a "Klingon" grin (the grin of a warrior):: Next time
I will have to use my own Bat'leth. I also ordered some bloodwine for my own
keeping and liking, because as I always say, "Bloodwine, its a warrior's
So this is what its like to to be 50, my back aches, I get tired alot,
and you wish you were young again. This is great, I've lost 30 years of my
life and we know of no way to turn the Captain and I back, and to top it off,
everytime I lose my temper, they drug me up. I hate drugs, with the
expection of asprin or tylenol, they make one part of you work better while
screwing another part of you up.
I learned that the hard way, very hard. I would know, spending a year in
jouvineil for drugs when I was 14. Jail can sure turn things around, so can
drugs, but going through problems like this when I was a kid it seemed drugs
was the only thing that could help me through. I'm not going through that
again, that was too hard, and I mean hard. Thats where Starfleet came in,
I'm surprised Starfleet even let me in but they did, and that was my turn
around point, where things started to get better. Now I have to deal this,
but I guess that's the risk of Starfleet, the risk I choose to take. I look
back and I wonder what would have become of me if I had choose not to join
Starfleet. Thats something that scares me - me, a Klingon, scared, thats a
new feeling for me - and I don't want to ever think about.
::Walks up to Repilicator:: Heating pad and IcyHot and Cinimmon Tea.
::Walks over to the his bed and lays down, putting the heating pad behind my
lower back and the IcyHot on my shoulder, neck area and elbow:: Ahhhh, that
feels better.
::sips his tea:: So much for being young and in my prime. ::slowly falls
asleep::
I decided to take my off duty time to head down to the Lounge. I thought,
maybe getting out of the Science Lab might help a little. Once I got there,
I ordered a drink and sat down. I talked with Commander Nelson for a while,
and got to know her better. After all thats happened, I'm glad I decided to
get out of the Science Lab, a drink or two helped me relax. After I left the
Lounge I decided I'd take some of Commander Nelson's advice and get
some rest.
Boy what a day I started on my own ship with things very hectic and ended
unconcious on the floor of the USS Eclipse! Lets see where to begin, I came
up to the bridge slightly late my alarm clock didn't go off. Then I went up
to the bridge and found that we were in a rift next to thhe Eclipse. I was
using sensors detected a romulan vessel but the Eclipse's sensors weren't
working correctly so they could not Confirm I
was asked to comeover with a couple of crewmates and help out I beamed over
and was very hungry when I got there I think I must have gained about 10
pounds while I was there! Anyways I went to the bridge of the Eclipse and
all of a sudden I blacked out I remeber waking up with my assistant Ens. Jim
Sturm leaning over me with a hypo in his hand. I am putting him in for a
commendatin he told me noone else even noticed I was liing there even though
the chief of tac./sec. for the Eclipse was looking right at me when I
blanked! Oh well. I think I will go get some food!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Today I thought was going to be a boring as hell day, but then the thought
got pushed back into my mind, oh yeah this is Star Fleet we're talking about,
no day can go by without something strange or bizarre happening. So I
decided why not do something with my time until this strange thing happens.
I arrived in the Science Lab at about 0900 hrs got the proper supplies for
my little experiment. I set up my Bunsen burner and then replicated some
Lithium Chloride, Sodium Chloride, Zinc Chloride, a cup of water, a spoon,
and last but not least, a bag of marshmallows, and begun my childish
experiment. I started out with marshmallows because I was pretty hungry and
forgot to eat breakfast, and then moved on to the Lithium Chloride. I still
remember this from my Chemistry class at the Academy, although I remember a
lot of things that require fire and what not. I dipped the spoon in water
and then in the Lithium, and then into the fire. I watched in awe, like it
was the first time I had ever seen this before, as the now reddish flames of
the flickered every which way. I stared for about 10 or 15 minutes, eating a
few marshmallows during that time. After moving past the Zinc and
Sodium Chloride, and finishing off the marshmallows, I head down to the
Lounge. When I got there I picked up a copy the Star Fleet news and then
ordered a Warp Core Breach to help me calm down after a long day of playing
with fire and stuffing my face with marshmallows. I finished the Star Fleet
news and laid the PADD down the table beside me and then was joined by Ensign
Chaz. We discussed the war with Dominion, and how the Federation's recent
attack, with help of the Klingons, on a Dominion weaponry and supply base
will hopefully give us an edge over the Dominion. Finally, at about 2000 hrs
I headed back to quarters and began some paper work and began my logs and ate
some dinner. Now its off to catch some sleep.

Computer, Close Log.
