FstLt Dakar Agamemnon Duty Log 9606.20

As duty began today, the captain informed us that we had extra time in our
schedule that allowed the crew to obtain some shore leave. We arrived at
planet Petafield and were hailed by two girls who seemd excessively young to
be a welcoming committe of any sort. The captain allowed an away team to
head down to the planet, to both learn more about this culture and for shore
leave. There had been only one brief encounter before by a Federation vessel
which was lost in this secotr of space, and little was
recorded of that incident. The captain, Commander David, and Lt Cdr Shearn
stayed behind to mind the Agamemnon while Chief Herel, FstLt Wit and myself
led an away team to the planet.

Upon arriving on the planet, the two youths we conversed with before, Laura
and Lisa, met us at designated coordinates. The two appeared even younger in
person, they looked about 8 terran years old. In fact... all the inhabitants
looked no older than 10 years old. The two informed us that they were in
fact the leaders of this planet, and assured us that they were adults. They
questioned our height, where upon I responded that the average height of an
adult humanoid was just under two meters. They
mentioned that the "founders" designed their bodies to remain youthful in
order to maintain optimal performance. They did allow the crew to have shore
leave on their planet. Fst Lt Wit was nervous being out in the open with all
the youthful people staring at us, and the only building with high enough
ceilings was an Arboretum.

Inside the Arboretum, all the plants apeared to be seedlings. Also, the away
team except for myself began to feel odd, and then actually became youths
themselves. The natives assured me that the crew were still in fact
themselves, but I did notice an occasional youthful outburst from each
crewmember. Chief Herel detected some field, which originated some 150
meters north of the Arboretum. Shearn suggested that we try beaming up the
away team to see if they revert back to their adult forms, but my
latest readings indicate that this may not work directly, and some other
action must be taken.

We started off by beaming down two crew members down to the planet. They
started getting younger so we tried different experiments. We beamed down a
plant and beamed it back. The plant beamed back dead. We beamed down a
Cardascian plant and put the DNA patterns into the transporter buffer(my
idea) and beamed it back successfully. Then we beamed back the crew members

Begin Log

After "picking up" our new transporter chief, we were to solve the dilemma of
our physically immature officers on the planet Petafield. They had gone there
to see if the planet was suitable for shoreleave. A field on the planet
caused the away team to revert to eight year old form. While attempting many
ideas, we tried using the stored DNA of the away team to beam them up and and
restore them. Ensign Kawaku had tried to make a test beam-up using a tomato
plant. However once it was beamed back up, the
plant had died. We then tried a more "human" plant as was genetically
constructed by Lt Nomist. When that plant was beamed back, it in nominal
condition. Ensign Kawaku promptly beamed the away team back in full health.
We had beamed them back in time for the wedding of our Captain and XO.

While on shoreleave at Petafield, we experienced an anomaly in the magnetic
field of the planet. This prevented us from successfully beaming patterns
through our Quantum Imaging Urray. When the matter stream was restabilized,
it was a dying, or dead, lump of cells. We worked with this problem by using
the patterns in the trace record, and then beaming the awayteam back into
their original state before mutation. I was asked to try transporting various
plants, but many were unsuccessful, due to their un
human like DNA patterns, so we resolved our problem by fighting over apes
and other types of animals, and later finding out that we had none, so we
went into Lt Nomist's biolab and retrieved his Cardassian ManPlant. After
setting the Pattern Enhancer to maximum and adapting the Old patterns to
refresh the new ones, they were successfully combined and kept alive.

Duty Logs StarDate 9607.07

=== In Holodeck Three ===

Sitting at a square card cable table with a Grape Lollipop in mouth and
a glass of Raspberry Iced Tea to his left. Wit is holds five playing cards in
his right hand.

"Come on Whittier," he says looking at the white bearded man to his left.
Looking at the man in front of him. Wit motions toward Whittier with a nod of
his head. He asks Longfellow " Did John take this long to write his poetry?"

"Why, I seem to remember," Longfellow starts to say in poetic verse.

"Oh, shut up Henry, " comes a dry deadpan remark from Charles Dickens. The
last member of the card playing foursome.

"Computer, save program Wit five", Wit interjects before Henry Longfellow has
a chance to reply. " I guess this is good as a time as any to file my Duty
log."

"Duty log open and recording," replies the mono tone of ships computer.

BEGIN DUTY LOG:

"After being told," begins Wit after a lick of the lollipop, " in so
many words by the two young girls, that if we were to leave the planet in
our..... small state. We would most likely die. Our R & R changed quickly
from rest and relaxation to A & A, action and anxiety. Action to finding a
way to leave still alive and anxiety of wondering if anything will work."

After taking a few more licks and checking his cards. Wit continues, "
My idea of just beaming up and seeing what happens was quickly and wisely
rejected by Captain Jayla. After that bright idea of mine; any other ideas I
had were useless. Thinking back on it. I still was having trouble keeping
my adult mind from slipping into that of an eight year olds. So basicly I
wasn't any use to the away team." Stops to collect his thoughts and see if
any other player is cheating. Sticks the lollipop
under the table, feels underneath, and finally, finding a piece of used gun;
sticks it into his month.

"Now where was I ? Oh yeah, finally, I don't seem to remember who,
came up with the idea to beam a plant down, let it shrink, and then beam it
back aboard to see what happens. They did, it did, it was, and it died."
Leans over and tries to look at Whittiers' cards. Seeing that Whittier is
staring at him; Wit quickly straightens up and tries to look innocent.

"Anyway we tried a more human like creature that Dr. Nomist had created.
They did, it did, it was, and it lived." Wit yells, " YEA for the good guys."
Realizing what he just did. Wit looks around the table to see if anyone heard
him. They did. Totally embarrrased; he finishes.

"We then beamed up and now everyone lives happliy ever after. Oh yea
the captain and commander got married...Or did they earlier????" Shrugs his
shoulders, " Oh, well, SEE-YA."

END DUTY LOG

A tiny voice deep inside Wits' head suggests that he should see the doctor.
"Resume Wit five."

Whittier looks towards Wit. "Do you have any Queens??"

" GO FISH, " replies Wit with a smile......

FstLt Dakar Agamemnon Duty Log 9606.27

As we continued our mission on Petafield, the Away team proceded to
investigate the field being generated just to our north. It was hypothesised
that this field may be linked to the sudden revertation of the away team
crew. We attempted to discover a solution that would restore the away team
to its normal state, without affecting the native population.

It was suggested to reverse the field, however, I thought it prudent to not
risk any more crewmembers at this time and there were no Engineers among the
away team. Upon asking the two leaders if the process could be reversed, it
was learned that by being outside the influence of the planet, one should
return to normal. Unfortunately, there was also a caveat that if one was to
leave the planet, that they shall die. Uncertain how to interpret this, an
experiment was conducted with a tomato plant... and
upon returning to the Agamemnon, the plant almost imediately died.

From scans I took of the tomato plant as it was becoming youthful, I
discovered that the field was causing certain key DNA sequences to become
lost, thus when it was transported back, the lack of those sequences
inhibited the plant's ability to sustain itself outside the artificial
nurturing of the field. Chief Herel bravely volunteered to test a revised
plan to use our original DNA patterns to restore the key sequences, however,
it was decided that the test would be performed on Dr. Nomist's man-plant
experiment. It proved succesful, so the same procedure was performed on the
away team's humanoid members.

While on course for a new and unknown sector of the universe, we intercepted
the USS Potemkin in danger by a new, and largly hostile group of aliens.
Their ships were many and equal to or more powerful than us. After many
attempts to find a solution, we recieved a hail from them. When we responded,
the alien afront of us sent out a weird signal to Lt. Nomist, in which the
alien took over his body. Nomist grabbed a phaser and started firing at any
and everything in sight. After many minutes of rough and
irrational behavior, Ltjg Giana tapped into his mind telepathically and
drove the aliens away. Nomist was then brutally clobered by EnsMakkhoi, a big
bad Klingon. After much blood and suffering amongst all, peace was restored.
Captain Jayla gave the suggestion for sending out a virus, and this was
successful in taking down their shields. Brand then prepared a Quantum
torpedo while I beamed the Crew of the Potemkin over to the Agamemnon, where
Commander David was there waiting for them. The torpedo was
fired and the ship was neutralized long enough for us the get the heck out
of there.

suggested that we hail the unknown vessels, but they send us a message, with
a view of the poorly treated Potemkin crew. They gave us an ultimatum to
surrender, or suffer the fate of the Potemkin. The lead ship engaged the
Agamemnon, but their attack drained their power supply and resulted in a
slight detectable fluxuation in their deflector shields. Our weapons seemed
relatively useless against their deflector shields, so an idea was raised to
use a weapon of devistation that has not been used since
the 20th century, nuclear fission.

After I assisted engineering with the building of the torpedo, I managed to
scan the area where I had previously detected the fluxuation in the deflector
shields and found a three meter hole, which we used to beam out the
restrained crew of the Potemkin. After the transfer was complete, another 2
meter hole was detected on the port side, which we launched the torpedo into.
This effectively destroyed the alien ship, and the other 4 ships fled without
incident.

While on a mad dash away from the ID4 aliens, we were ordered by Starfleet
Command to go to planet Menoch 3 to do some investigations on high nuclear
activity. On our way there, though, we were inconvienently interupted by "Q",
(the original), and he took Ensign Makkhoi and Lt. Nomist into null space
ahead of us. Q then played many games with us, appearing on the view screan,
returning in executioner clothes, etc. After many hours of playing around, we
were pulled into the null space and were given back
our "Q" officers MakQ and Nomist, but without powers and in a weird like
emotional state. On their way to SickBay, MakQ fell unconscious and was
carried to her faithful destination by Counselour Giana.
After being diagnosed "OK" by Nomist, they returned to the bridge. We
continued to investigate the null space, but with no current luck.

This mission was one of the more stressful and personal ones I have yet to

extraordinary and confidential experience. I didn't know they would get me
into this kind of trouble so soon.

We were ordered to a planet called Menoch 3 which was reported having unusual
nuclear activity by the citizens of Menoch 4. But as soon as we were
underway, the ship stopped dead in it's tracks. Then Q had appeared and
kidnapped the CMO, Dr. Nomist and me. We were sent into null space. We had
been judged and sentenced:"THIS HUMAN LOVING RULE BREAKING QS ARE NOT FIT TO
LIVE," As Q had stated it. In an effort to help me, Nomist sent me back to
the ship. I went back for the Doctor but, again, he sent be
back...straight into a bulkhead. I *snapped* myself out of it and tried to
get the Doctor. Q then sent us back to the Bridge of the Agamemnon powerless.
I was fine considering I had my powers for such a short time and had not
fully integrated them into my life. Nomist was not so lucky. He had been a Q
for a longer time and and was almost dying. We were sent to sickbay. But not
after I fainted. Lt. Nomist (who was as moody as ever) kicked Lt jg Giana and
me out of sickbay and gave me a clean bill of
health. As soon as I arrived on the bridge, they sent me back to SB not
completely sure I was fine. Though Nomist and I made it to our destination
alive but powerless, we were allowed only an hour to remain that way. While
the rest of the crew were trying to find the cause of the nuclear activity on
the planet below, Nomist and I were engaged in a heated argument.

I knew being a Q would get me into trouble but I didn't think it would be
that fast.

Nomist out. After a few moments our questions of why were soon answered by
the appearence of Q on the bridge and with the snap of his fingers quickly
took care of Nomist's problem.

Nomist and MakQ appeared on the bridge next to Q. Snapping his fingers
once more; he disappeared from the bridge. Taking Nomist and MakQ along with
him.

I scanned the area and noticed a faint distrubence dead ahead. After it
was confirmed by Dakar; I sent a Class one probe into it.

Popping up like a jack-in-the-box, Q once more appeared, this time on
the view screen. He stated that Nomist and MakQ have no right to live and
should be executed. However, instead of killing them. He returns them to
the ship, stripped of all Q powers. I guess for a Q that's worse than death.

Nomist and Mak were sent to sickbay. Whereby Nomist, slightly agitated
from losing Q powers, proceeded to kick everyone out and sulked.

Durning all the excitement. The probe and the Agamemnon reached what was
determined to be null space. With thrusters only, the ship entered the
space. The shift ended as it was being determined if the null space was
caused by a nuclear explosion.

Wit out.

The Agamemnon has recieved a distress call from the planet Sigmus Dentrada.
However, due to a large amount of background "noise" and linguistic
difficulties, it was hard to tell exactly what the person who initiated the
signal was worried about. When we arrived on the planet, a forcefield was
found in place in a small area without a known purpose. An away team that
consisted of Lt. Wit, Lt.j.g. Durron, Ensign Jora, and Ensign Jacobs beamed
close to it to find the reason for it. Lt. Tok and I were to
analyze the distress call and find out what the inhabitants found wrong.

While Tok and I filtered out the background noise, the away team located the
forcefield about a meter underground. They went to the source of the
forcefield and found a solid door blocked their path, but Jacobs opened it.
Durron's tricorder read that the door was several inches of Tritanium. They
found about 30 frozen life-forms in the room (which everyone seemed to trip
on).

I had filtered out the bulk of the background noise and Lt.j.g. Krepta helped
with the translation. All I could recognize was geothermic readings. With
that information, she found that the generators had begun to overload and the
geothermic temperature was heating up rapidly. The forcefield made it so that
the away team could not beam out. Tok worked on releasing some of the
geometric temperature while Ensign Worf and I began on finding away to slow
the temp rise. Soon, both problems had answers and were
put into action.

Worf and I initiated a modified tractor beam that began to take the excess
energy away from the generators. This allowed the away team and Tok more time
to fix the forcefield to effect a beam out. The away team went back to the
beam-in point and returned to Agamemon. Tok and Krepta fired a phaser drill
to relieve geothermic pressure.

In the end, geothermic pressure was greatly diminished and the crew came back
safely. The only casualty was Jora who had gotten a bacterial infection which
was easily cured down in sickbay.

generator was going to overload at any time if we didn't releave some of the

FstLt Dakar Agamemnon Duty Log 9608.1

Just shortly after I had taken the temporary command of the Agamemnon, a
distress call was picked up from the planet Sigmus Dentrada. Upon entering
orbit, a thurough scan was performed, which revealed that there was no sign
of the inhabitants of this world, suggesting that perhaps they had already
evacuated. Fst Lt Wit lead an away team to investigate the nature of the
problem, and to determine if in fact the population had already evacuated or
not. The tactical officers investigated the message we
had received.

Before the away team beamed down, Krepta had detected a small forcefield,
which seemed to be located 1 meter underground. The away team went into a
structure where the field was located, and managed to find that the field was
protecting a geothermal electric generator, the main power source of this
planet. The tactical officers had determined that the distress message
indicated these generators were the cause of the evacuation, as a series of
chain reactions deep under the planet's crust had caused the
generators to start to malfunction, overload, and overheat. Considering
that each city had its own generator, this would seem to suggest that they
deemed it necessary to evacuate since they could not control the reactions.
This discovery also seemed to indicate that the explosion would be large
enough to possibly threaten the Agamemnon if it remained in orbit.

The away team determined that the generator was still overloading, and that
they had located many dead persons inside the building, apparantly
sacrificing themselves so that the others would have more time to escape.
The failing of the generators must have caused the defense systems of the
power plant to increase, as the forcefield grew in intensity so that we were
no longer able to beam the away team out, even though the field was weak
enough before for them to beam down inside of it. The Tactical and
Security personel worked together, based on some of Worf's knowledge of
simmilar smaller geothermal systems used on Earth in history, to use the
phasers to drill holes in precisely calculated positions to act as a presure
valve. This relieved enough of the stress to prevent the explosion of the
geothermic generators.

Due to the long absence of our command staff, certain few were again ordered
to report to the Potemkin by Admiral Clements. Due to the lack of MED staff
on the Potemkin, I was reassigned to Assistant Med Officer. Ensign Worf was
assigned to Potemkin's Engineering Team. Everyone else was sent to the Planet
Deresta's surface. I had to help LCdrShodan in surgery. We were repairing the
upperbody of Commander Badon. I don't know if he's a telepath but I just kept
hearing his voice talking (or taunting) to me.
I found it distracting but not that bad. Ah well...

Those on the surface were dealing with some rather uncooperative natives of
the planet settlements. Through very thick negotiations, they refused help
from the Federation. But I was concentrating on the surgery so I didn't
notice much beyond that.

We started our mission on the Agamemnon but had to transfer over to the
Potemkin for lack of command staff. The Potemkin (I think!) was trying to
except an application for the Federation from the Desera people. An away
team beamed down an explained what the Federation would do for the culture if
the were to join. Meanwhile back on the Potemkin LtjgFrank and I were
running tests on the shieldgenerator coils. We were making sure they
withstood the pressure from another attack from an enemy.
LtjgFrank went to the Bridge after we finished reparing all of the
cupplings in the conduit. He transferred all of the controlls to the bridge
where he could monitor them their. I stayed in Engineering running scans
over the entire ship to see if their were any radiation leaks or thermal hot
spots. LtjgFrank asked me to come to the bridge and take ops. I was ordered
to scan for any other ships in this sector. My sensors found an unusual ion
pulse signature (similar to the one from Klingon Vor'Cha
class cruisers) coming from about 700 km away from us. A Klingon Vor'Cha
cruiser decloaked and told us to get out of this system immediately. The
Captain returned to the bridge and we set course to another system and
prepared for a battle situation.

::BEGIN LOG::

I was scheduled for shore leave so that I can mourn the loss of Austian
Jacobs. Since my department head, First Lieutenant Tok, failed to cover for
me today, I thought I should drop by and maake sure tactical was running
smoothly. I kept my mind as much on my work as possible.

We were ordered to the Polip system. Three years ago, the USS Dragonfly was
lost there after recording strange readings. Recently, readings were taken in
that system that were discovered to have similarities to those the Dragonfly
had taken. We went to investigate. The location of the disturbance was in an
asteroid belt. When we arrieved, the asteroids became mobile. The asteroids
positioned themselves surrounding Agamemnon. They had blocked all means of
exit. Just then the shields began to fall. Ensigns
Worf and Jora stabilized the shields at 20 %. I was to plan a route out of
the asteroids. I didn't know how I was supposed to do that. If the asteroids
kept moving anyway. As I tried to plot a course, I heard a scream from Ltjg
Giana. When Krepta fired the phasers at one of the asteroids, Giana felt a
sensation of thousands crying out. As she screamed, I lookd up to see what
happened. The first thing I focused on was the empty OPS position. I felt a
tear form and my throat constrict. I alterted FstLt
Dakar that I was going on leave and returned to my quarters.

While I was in my quarters, I monitored the ships condition. The asteroids
seemd to house sentient life within it. They needed plasma like food and
decided to "eat" our sheildes. The Agamemnon then vented drive plasma which
the asteroids followed and fed on.

Duty Log
9608.14
USS Agamemnon
Ensign Worf3

::Begin Log::

We began this mission by starting in the Polip system to investigate the
problems that the USS Dragonfly reported. I was the temporary Chief Engineer
for this mission. We came close to an asteroid field to scan for any
problems. Within seconds several asteroids surrounded the Agamemnon. We
scanned for any propulsion systems but found none. I ran scans over the
defensive weapons system to make sure everything was at 100% capacity. We
destroyed three of the asteroids with photon torpedoes. Ltjg
Giana fell to the floor saying she sensed 1000s of lifeforms screem out and
then cease to exist. Some of the asteroids from the rest of the belt
surrounded us and began 'hugging' our shields. The shields began to collapse
but Ensign Jora and I stabalized them at 25% from the extra power from the
warp core. FstLt Dakar gave orders to transport one of the asteroids aboard
and scan for lifeforms. When they beamed aboard Ltjg Giana went to the
transporter room to scan the asteroid. She scanned for
Carbon based lifeforms and found none, she configured her tricorder to scan
for Silicon based lifeforms and found thousands of single cell lifeforms.
Meanwhile in Engineering, Jora and I were working on best scenarios for
escaping the asteroid field. We thought about using the tractor beam and
reversing the polarity of it and splitting it into. The thought was to lock
the tractor beam on the asteroids and move some of them to the right and the
rest to the left, allowing us to slip through unharmed.
Ltjg Giana communicated with the beings and found that wanted to know about
our food source. The beings were running low on their food sources and I
guess they thought we could help them. FstLt Dakar suggested that we should
vent plasma from the warp nacelles and see if that would attract them. I
configured the plasma vents to release five seconds of plasma. The plasma
attracted the asteroids away from our ship long enough for us to get out of
their.

FstLt Dakar Agamemnon Duty Log 9608.15

We proceded to head back to Federation space, making a stop in the Polip
system to observe unusual readings that matched readings once taken in this
same area of space by the USS Dragonfly. As we proceded, it was determined
that the readings of the disturbance originated from an asteroid belt in this
system. As we approached the asteroids though, they seemed to arrange
themselves in such a manner that the Agamemnon became trapped, unable to find
a clearing to escape through.

Counselor Giana was able to obtain some information about the Dragonfly's
encounter here, by reading logs archived from that vessel. The counselor
indicataed that the Dragonfly found the asteroid belt on accident while
attempting to locate planets for colonization. Wit assisted with the science
station on the bridge, as the science officer, Ensign Bobb, was once again
unable to be located onboard the ship. It was decided to try and remove some
of the asteroids that were blocking our route, but in
doing so, other asteroids took their place, and the Counselor was affected
by some sort of life-force that cried out telepathically upon the destruction
of 3 asteroids, even though scans could only detect various minerals and
metalic ores. Gazh beamed a small asteroid into cargo bay 4 which Krepta and
the Counselor went to examine and investigate. The Engineering crews were
working on maintaining shields against the advancing asteroids, and running
possible escape scenarios on the computer.

It was determined that a small silicon based lifeform existed in colonies on
these asteroids, and required plasma for food. We were able to vent excess
plasma to the asteroids, as a temporary measure, and then led them to a more
permanant source of plasma in a gasseous giant planet in that system. (ok so
we did not actually do that bit in the sim but it provides closure to the
story)

BEGIN DUTY LOG:

The duty began on a sad note. Our captain Jayla resigned from the
Agamemnon and USF to pursue greener pastures. To use a 20th century word for
disappointment . We all were ** Bummed ** by her departure.. I and the
rest of the crew will wish her luck if she ever comes aboard the Age' again.

To ease the feelings from her sudden departure. Commander Shearn
decided to have some R & R on a nearby planet. However, upon arrival,
nobody seem to really want to go on the planet; except me. I went to the
ships' store and got a fishing rod and tackle, beamed to a nice clear blue
lake. With the line casted and my back against a 100 ft. tree. I closed my
eyes and relaxed. Enjoying my first R & R since leaving the (old) Potemkin.
After a while everyone else decided to beam down and enjoy
themselves.

I didn't catch anything. Unless you consider snagging an old boot
catching something. 8~D. Personally, fishing itself is not the most
relaxing. But it's the relaxing that I enjoy. I pretty much enjoyed the
rest. However, a few times I had a strange feeling that someone was watching
over me. Maybe it was just the Security part of me. 8~) Wit out.

FstLt Dakar Agamemnon Duty Log 9608.22

AS the day began, Commander Shearn informed us that we would be attending to
some overdue shore leave in the Caledor system. I decided to take the
opertunity and attempt to increase my interaction with the crew while they
were on the planet. This, however, proved to be quite a disapointment, as it
only seemed to further distance me from them, and my social ineptness was the
source of much confusion.

As I arrived on the planet, I noticed Gazh Q sitting on a branch of a tree,
with an odd look on her face. I inquired as to why she was avoiding the
ground, and this made her decide to displace herself from the said branch and
force me to catch her. She then mentioned something about how securely my
appendages were attached to my torso, and perhaps they were attached to well.
I did not understand this, nor her comment about my inability to contain
liquid substances.

I then noticed Worf and Gazh Q deciding to go on a hunting expidition. I had
no intention of harming the large mamalian creatures that roamed these woods,
and Gazh Q once again mentioned something about the connection of my
appendages.

I then proceded to converse with Counselor Giana, who was playing a Betazoid
song on the clarinet. She asked me what song I would like to hear. Since I
do not have an adequate sampling of music in my databanks, I was unable to
give her a reply before we had to return to the Agamemnon.

Jora and I began shield upgrades to an experimental displacement type
shields. FstLt Dakar began inventory on all of out supplies. I had a few
problems configuring the new shields to our deflector grid. These new
shields fluctuate very rapidly without the right adjustments.
FstLt Dakar reported that a few weapon supplies were missing. The bridge
was scanning our sector for any unusual disturbances and enemy ships. The
bridge detected some unusual fluctuations that normaly come from a cloaked
ship. We raised our newly upgraded shields without any flaws. We sent a
message to the cloaked ship telling them to give us our supplies back.
Ensign Flar pointed a phaser at Commander Shearn. An Aluminiti ship
decloaked and ordered us to lower our shields and let them take more
of our supplies. After they were through transporting our supplies off
Ensign Flar fired his phaser at Commander Shearn. Ensign Jora dived in front
catching the blow for him. Ensign Flar beamed off the ship unharmed and the
Aluminiti ship fled at maximum warp. Commander Shearn tried to treat Jora
with the medkit while Ltjg Giana, who had medical experience, hurried to the
Bridge. Ltjg Giana treated her serious wounds but Jora did not regain
consciousness. Giana said that she will probably be in a

As the day began, some overdue promotions were given, as the surviving
members of the crew begin to regroup and recouperate from the recent
experiences exploring outside Federation space. Today I began taking an
inventory of supplies with Krepta, to see what we needed when we encounter
starbase 451 later in the week.

Unortunately, we found that several boxes of replacement isolinear units were
missing, as well as some minor weapons triggering devices. Krepta discovered
that some inoculation vials were missing amongst the medical supplies. All
the missing equipment was in relatively extensive supply to begin with,
perhaps leading the suspect to believe that their absensce would not be noted
for some time.

As it turns out, simultaneously with our communications to the bridge, one
Ensign Flar was also on the bridge, now plotting his next move since he was
the guilty party involved. I was not present, but it appears that Flar held
a gun in Commander Shearn's back, and ordered shields droped so the
Alluminatti could beam more extensive supplies over and also retrieve himself
from the Agamemnon since he would soon be found out. After the additional
equipment was transfered, Krepta and myself headed back to
the bridge, but arrived too late and discovered that Flar had attemtped to
shoot the commander as Flar backed into an open area of the bridge to be
beamed away. It appears that Ensign Jora has taken the blast for Shearn, and
is in uncertain condition in sick bay.

the star into a black hole.

The presented us with the problem of retrieving it without having to
lower the shields. Thereby exposing all of us to the intense radiation from
the star. Newly promoted Chief Engineer Worf came up with the idea of
adjusting the shield slightly allowing a very narrow tractor beam to escape
the shield and lock onto the probe piece. The idea worked and we were
exposed to no significant radiation.

At first we thought the probe was some type of Genisis weapon because
for a while the star seemed to come back to the state it was before. But
like a burning out light bulb. It was bright for a while, but, soon it
returned to a black hole.

We ended the duty ready to exam the probe. WIT OUT.

As the day began, we were escourting the USS Giddens, a transport vessel
containing 2 prototype ships which we were to escort back to the Sol System.
The speed of the vessel could not match our own, and its shield system was
weak and somewhat inadequate, complicating our mission.

Due to the disapearance of Lt. Gamer, I took the helm temporarily. A
security team was dispatched to the Giddens for its own protection.
Unfortunately, our precautions were not enough, as a small cluster of raider
ships attacked us. The crew was able to disable most of the ships, with wide
spread phasers, a special weapon burst from the deflector array, and a volley
of photon torpedoes. Their attack was relentless though, and one vessel
managed to make its way through a hole that developed in the
Gidden's shields.

From this raider vessel, two teams of 4 men each boarded the Giddens. One
team attempted to take over the entire transport vessel from the bridge,
while the other team headed towards the docking bay to try and confiscate one
of the prototype vessels. Krepta and her security team, along with help from
other officers of the Agamemnon, managed to route the raiders heading towards
the bridge, however, this allowed the second team to reach one of the
prototype ships. Tok tried to follow the two remaining
raiders who boarded the ship, and finally managed to overtake them just
before they were able to steal the prototype. The slightly damaged prototype
was safely delivered along with the other prototype onboard the Giddens.

Ensign Jora, who had just recovered from her coma, also was able to join the
away team.

Upon their arrival, Uhura determined what citizens of the planet needed
imediate medical attention, and assisted Durron in treating them. The
conversation with the ambassador only revealed that their scientists
determined this started about 3 years ago, and that they had failed to detect
it until now, since it had reached a critical point, as was evident by the
number of patients our medical staff had to attend to.

Tactical worked with engineering to try and determine what could be done to
stop the oxygen depletion, and if possible, to restore the air quality. They
managed to trace an energy beam down to the planet's southern continent. The
Chancelor was of little help to the away team, but the ambasador did state
that 3 years ago was when they started to colonize the planets large, arid,
southern continent. It was also determined by the away team, that there was
a direct link between the terraforming process
being used, the energy beam, and the loss of breathable oxygen.

It was determined that the lost science of cloud seeding could assist them,
since there were clouds over southern continent, just not proper contitions
for them to rain. Also the beam was shut down, and the ships phasors were
used to re-ionize some of the water that was "extracted" from the atmosphere.

Cdr Dakar First Officer's Log Stardate 9610.17

Today started with the notice that Durron has been transferred from medical
to engineering, resulting in Uhura now becoming the Chief Medical Officer.
Upon that note, we proceded to make preparations to determine if the planet
Gratitia, home to a feline humanoid species with some technical significance,
was ready for first contact. Doctor Uhura prepared an away team of Tok,
Counselor Giana, Wit, and myself to look and be more like what we knew of the
native species so that we may try and obtain more
information first hand, from their scientific community if possible.

We landed and hid the shuttlecraft (which was small enough that it could slip
in under their sensors, which would have detected the Agamemnon if it was in
transporter range) in a small clearing by a stream. Much to our chagrin, the
first natives we encountered, Ebony and his mate, imediately detected us as
outsiders. Aparently, the feline humanoids of this planet have a
distinctively different odor to them than the known felines of other
Federation planets, as they stated we smelled too "clean", except
for me, which they indicated smelled like grease.

After almost witnessing a catfight between Ebony's mate, and Amaris, we
finally convinced them to show us the way to the local university so that we
may be able to meet their scientific comunity. So far, from my observations,
these people seem primative, despite their technological advances. They
appear to be somewhat tribal in nature, and fearful of outsiders, yet at the
same time, started to respect us when Amaris started acting hostile. This
shows that they may be simmilar to Klingons in this
reguard, that they promote violence as a means to promote oneself.

planet whos inhabitants are feline and similair in apperance to Klingons. To
make the first contact go as smoothly as possible we were cosmeticaly altered
to look like the inhabitants.

After the alterations; the team was sent down by shuttle and landed in a
empty spot about 2 kilometers from what appeared to be the main town. The
road was empty on the way. So I decided to scout ahead and look for possible
trouble. I haven't found any so far; but it is my understanding that the
others ran into a male and female as they approached the town. It's also my
understanding that a fight almost insued when the male smelled the awayteam
and remarked that they smelled ' too clean '. It
was also mentioned that :::chuckles:::Dakar smelled like...I think the word
used was grease. ::::chuckles:::: I bet the commander liked being called
greasy.

As it stands now the awayteam is now on their way to meet someone. I'll
join them at the front gate. Wit out.

I came on duty in the middle of the mission, and I really didn't know what
was happening. I was told to help Worf with the problem of some energy beam
comming from the planet. When we studied it up close the frequency of the
beam seamed a little familier, but neither Worf or I could remember where we
had seen it before.
Before we could study the beam further, I was told to join the away team on
the planet and Worf was ordered to the Bridge.
When we were on the planet I found out that the energy beam was supposed to
scan us, but because the Agamemnon's and the planet's technologies were
different the beam actually had another effect. It would have damaged the
Agamemnon if hit directly, but the intended purpose was to find out more
about us.
It wasn't until later that I remembered where I had seen the frequency of
the scanning beam. I discussed the idea with Worf and he seemed to agree. The
frequency that our hull constantly eminates was reflected off the beam. When
we scanned the energy beam part of what we were reading was actually our own
hull frequency. That's why it seemed so familier.

The Agamemnon was been rerouted to Deep Space 13, to investigate a rather
peculiar occurance. It seems that 25 white dwarf stars have disapeared from
the night-time sky. This did seem peculiar, especially since they all
reportedly disapeared at the same time. We visited Deep Space 13 and
Commander Vix uploaded all the data they had collected for Cora in science
to analyze.

Jalara had the nearby sectors scanned for any alien vessels that could have
the capacity to destroy a star. Later analysis of the data from Deep Space
13 concluded that the stars where not merely destroyed, but seemed to just
stop shining. Worf assisted Cora in analyzing the data from a technical
perspective. Jalara did not locate any vessels, but did seem to find a
cluster of fuzzy matter that our sensors could not acurately scan. We went
directly to one of the stars to closer examinate, and found a
shell composed of silicate based compounds where the star should be.

After Kawaku piloted us to the next star in the chain, which all were
determined to be almost equidistant from each other. Durring our visit to
the stars, we experienced a shield drain, which also temporarily affected the
warp drive's output for a brief time. This star also seemed to posses the
same strange silicate shell, and we also noticed metalic strips in the center
of the star. The viewscreen showed us what appeared to be a 20th century
light bulb. We investigated the fuzzy blob, and it turned
out to be an Earth substance known as tinsel, who's reflective properties
could have contributed to the faulty sensor readings.

was reassigned to the configuration of the actual hardware in Cargo Bay 5
while Worf walked out onto the hull of the ship. I configured the parts and
the Ensigns from the Station transported parts to the
ship. When I was done, Worf had begun to remove the old sensor array and the
Ensigns went to deliver the parts. While I was still configuring, our CSEC Lt
Jalara had become suspicious of an Ensign who was extra protective of his
shipment. While she checked out the shipment (which proved fine), another
Ensign left to retrieve more supplies. That Ensign, somehow made it to the
bridge and sedated our new Tactical officer, Ensign Joshua Tyler. While he
dragged him off the bridge, our CMO Ltjg Uhura saw him
and followed. This led her to be locked in a room with the sedated Ens
Joshua. Soon, Joshua awoke in the room. Afterwards, Lt Jalara found the Rouge
Ensign that attacked the TAC officer and followed him in persuit very
confused as to why he was running. I sensed their feeling of entrapment and
confusion and reported it to the Bridge. Then I was sent to look for our
missing personnel.

We were at Starbase 707 to receive new supplies and to upgrade our sensor

that was a bit over-protective of his shipment. While I was checking the
shipment, another Ensign was causing some problems. When he came out of a
room that, as far as I knew, was empty, I thought he might be lost. He said
that he was looking for the lavatory, but he looked sick
so I suggested he should go to sickbay. He said he was fine and walked away,
but he went the wrong way if he was trying to find the bathroom. When I tried
to catch up to him and explain that it was the other direction, he began to
run. Okay, I can deal with that, but when he spun around and threatened to
shoot me, I kinda figured out that he was not looking for the lavatory. He
had his phaser out and was waving it around at me when I telekineticly
transported myself, a trick that is going to be very
useful, I can see, behind him. The guy had no idea where I went! Very

The Agamemnon has docked at Starbase 707, a Federation outpost not far from
Maquis territory, to aquire some needed equipment upgrades and obtain some
general supplies to replenish our cargo bays. Worf was outside the ship,
removing the old sensor array, while Cora was preparing the new sensor array
equipment which some of the station crew was bringing aboard. Jalara and her
security staff were keeping a careful watch on the many station personnel
comming aboard the Agamemnon, due to concerns that the
Maquis may have infultrated the starbase's regular staff. Uhura was
checking the ship's medical supplies for re-ordering.

Four station crewmembers in particular spent much time in cargo bay 5.
Ensigns Joe, Javic, Targal, and Shmoe. Jalara noticed Targal behaving rather
peculiar while moving a large box. Taking all precautions, she inspected the
contents of the box, which turned out to be a rather odd shaped component of
the new sensor array. The other ensigns where bringing aboard the other two
shipments of equipment we were expecting, and while Jalara was still
preocupied with Targal, Javic proceeded to make his way
out of the cargo bay and down the ship's corridors.

Javic must have some plot in his mind to terrorize the ship to meet some
demands, as he managed to sedate the unsuspecting Ensign Joshua, a recent
addition to our crew. Ensign Joshua and Doctor Uhura are both currently
missing, and Jalara has reportedly found the renegade Ensign and is
confronting him. I only hope this situation can be resolved without the loss
of any of our crew, which would be a great tragedy. Hopefully we can also
finish installing the new sensor array and proceed with our tour of
duty.

reversed the turbolift to deck 7. Jalara once
again thwarted his attemps , and managed to have him arrested. Javic
proclaimed that there were others aboard the station, and took a cyanide
capsule rather than face interogation.

Meanwhile, Worf managed to finish removing the old sensor array and replace
it with the new one Joe & Shmoe broght to him. From inside the ship, Cora
and Tarmal worked in the science department to verify the configuration of
the new array with the computers, and Jora was working from within

since work was completed, and Jalara informed the station's chief of security

informing us to perform a violation of protocol and break the border of the
neutral zone with the Romulans. I was all for it, but some were hesitant. We
set course for a station past the neutral zone in Romulan Space, and were off
to investigate. I constantly was watching for weird readings on the sensors
as signs of cloaked ships, but none were in sight. We soon engaged our
cloaking device, VERY EXPERIMENTAL, and it decided to
blow up on us. While trying to repair the power grid, Solo was hit by an
energy discharge and taken to sickbay and treated by our medical genius
Uhura. When we arrived, at our destined coordinates, there was nothing in
sight, except for a class IV nebula, so we figured there was nothing, and we
turned around. On our exit, a warbird decloaked off our rear, and we had just
barely escaped certain doom. Whoa, lucky us.

::PERSONAL LOG::

This voyage was very different for us, but a thrill exciter at that. I had my
eyes on the captains chair the entire time, and only saw Dakar, and started
to wonder. ::Where is he? When will he return?:: Oh well.

Cdr Dakar First Officer's Log 9701.16

After last weeks unfortunate loss of the new sensor array, engineering had it
disconnected and we had to relly on some spare equipment salvaged from the
old array. Unfortunately, the equipment was not complete. This proved to be
detrimental, as the Agamemnon was ordered into the Romulan Neutral Zone to
investigate reports of a new secret base. It would have been hard enough to
carry out this mission with full sensor capacity, considering the new station
was said to be cloaked, but with the equipment
available, we were unable to detect anything of significance except for a
nebular mass.

Durring the mission though, we tried to engage the experimental cloaking
device installed some time ago. As this was the first real test of the
equipment, it failed within seconds of activating it. This also seemed to
cause a short in the console Solo was working at, and he required medical
attention. Uhura took him to sick bay and later released him temporarily to
keep up engineering.

Durring our return to Federation space, the expected finally happened, as a
Warbird started persuit and has been closing rapidly. That is where we
currently stand, unable to reach Federation space before we are overtaken by
the Warbird.

Duty Log

We started off searching for a secret Romulan Base in the Nutral Zone
that wasn't there. We were attacked and were forced to flee to Federation
Space where me met up with the HOOD who escorted us back to the Starbase.

Personal Log

Today was my first day abord the USS Agamemnon. We were thretend but I was
quite confident in our crew. I guess I felt that we could handle most
anything, but I was a bit overconfident.

Ltjg Thracken Solo
Duty Log Stardate: 9701.30

:::begin log:::

After finally escaping the Neutral Zone with our lives, we have returned to
Starbase 102 to repair the Agamemnon after its untimely malfunction of the
cloaking device and sensor dish. I immediately set on to repair the sensor
dish, with the assistance of Ens Mavrk and Ens Jora. After scanning the dish,
it appears to have no physical damage, the only thing being the problem was
the power ports that fed it power were totally fused, so they had to be
replaced.

Commander Dakar, now Captain, and Ltjg Giana worked on finding out some info
on our informant of the secret Romulan base. They appeared to get some very
good leads and have possibly found out something important.

Capt Dakar Captain's Log Stardate 9701.30

After droping off Captain Badon at Starbase 102, and receiving my promotion
to the rank of captain, we proceeded to investigate the erroneous contact and
finish repairs on the Agamemnon. Engineering began work on properly
adjusting the new sensor arrays and getting the cloaking device in working
order. Counselor Giana continued the investigation started by Jalara and
Joshua last week on Vern Krettlingle, the starfleet contact who gave us the
original information leading us on a search for an untamed,
long necked, web footed, bird. We also had brief contact with some people
from the station while we were docked, one BHicks, and one Sala Dana a sister
of Jalara.

While Giana procceded with a history check and psychological evaluation of
the contact, Ensign Maverick was send down to engineering to assist with
repairs since we would not be leaving the base today. There must have been
some miscommunication however, as he ended up back on the bridge. The
counselor's investigation led to the belief that Mr. Krettlingle was actually
a shapeshifter, and working covertly for the Dominion to spread
dis-information in an attempt to weaken the Alpha and Beta quadrant
races by having them engage each other in wars. All repairs were
accomplished shortly afterwards and we have now left the Starbase.
