IN THE BEGINNING...
In 2347, a secretive group working within Starfleet Command began to fund a
project dedicated to creating the perfect human being to be used in the
United Federation of Planets' war against the Cardassian Union. It was
codenamed Project: DarkChylde. The two geneticists in charge of the project
were Doctor Jonathan Asoka and Doctor Abigail Cage. By 2348, the project had
been moved to the newly
constructed Triton Genetic Research Labs in orbit of Neptune in Sector 001
(the Terran System). The project was as covert as projects can get; it was
not publicly known about, nor did Starfleet's top admirals have any knowledge
of what was going on. Officially, the Triton Labs were supposed to be
studying different plantlife species combination possibilities. The
geneticists worked hard on the project. However, their first six attempts
failed due
to some sort of degeneration.

CREATION
The first successful humanoid genetically engineered life-form to be
produced at the Triton Labs was named Alexander. This one did not degenerate
like the first six. Following the creation of Alexander, over the course of
the next year and a half, four more lifeforms were created there: Benjamin,
Catherine, Darah, and Edwin. Each of the five were created using human genes
and that of other species,
although all would look human to the naked eye. Alexander has some Klingon
genes inside him, giving him strength greater than a normal human being.
Benjamin has some Betazoid and Vulcan genes, to develop mental abilities.
Catherine has some Romulan genes to develop higher intelligence. Darah has
some Trill genes to develop some strange symbiotic powers. Edwin has some
Vorgon genes to develop time travel abilities.

CHILDHOOD AND ADOLESCENCE
The five of them were raised at the Triton Labs from their "births". They
regarded each other as brothers and sisters (despite the fact that they had
no real blood relation). The two doctors acted almost as parents in a way.
Also at Triton Labs was Doctor Cage's biological daughter, Deven Cage.
Luckily, their extra-human abilities didn't develop until their adolescent
years, and slowly even then.
Alexander started pounding his way through doors. Benjamin began reading
people's minds. Catherine started outwitting all around her. Darah began to
be able to "merge" with other beings, on a level stronger than a Vulcan
mind-meld, more similar to the Great Link of the changelings that were later
discovered in the Gamma Quadrant. Edwin started experimenting with time, at
first slowing it down then speeding it up for "seconds" at a time. Although
by this time the war with the Cardassian Union was more or less over,
Project: DarkChylde continued.

ADULTHOOD
In 2369, when Alexander was 21 years old, Starfleet Command learned of
Project: DarkChylde. This came as a real shock to them because criminal
activity was operating in Sector 001--almost right under their noses. They
immediately sent in a Starfleet team to take care of it. In the chaos that
immediately followed, Doctor Asoka was arrested for illegal genetic
tampering. (Eventually he was sentenced
to ten years at a minimum security penal colony in New Zealand, Earth.)
Doctor Cage and Catherine managed to escape in a high-speed shuttlecraft with
a cloaking device; Catherine is still at large. Edwin's powers got out of
control; his temporal signature destabilized and he was sent hurtling through
time, destination unknown. Alexander, Benjamin, and Darah were put into the
custody of the Starfleet Science Committee.
After six months of investigations and tests, the three remaining ones were
allowed to go on with their lives. Alexander and Darah both joined
Starfleet, while Benjamin studied at the Vulcan Science Academy. All three
were allowed to do so due to special dispensation issued by admirals within
Starfleet Command who shall remain nameless. What started out as a joke
among some of the members at Starfleet Science became a fact of life for
these
three: since they were apparently synthetic lifeforms, they were nicknamed
"synths". But this grew into their permanent surname of Synth, which has
been given to all five of the Triton Labs' creations.
In 2371, Alexander became romantically involved with Deven Cage, who had
moved out of the Triton Labs in 2368. (Deven had also joined Starfleet
Academy a year prior to Alexander.) The two engaged in a long-term
relationship, despite continuing work in the academy. However, since then,
the two have broken up, citing reasons of a long distance relationship. They
have gotten together once or twice in the meantime, though.

STARFLEET CAREER
Alexander and Darah tried to stay close, as brother and sister should,
during the next four years at Starfleet Academy. Darah tried her hands at
the sciences, while Alexander decided to major in navigation and operations.
During his time at Starfleet Academy, Alexander was recruited by Lieutenant
Commander August Lynch to join the elite Team Challenger, a squad of cadet
pilots handpicked to perform
secretive missions. After some trials and tribulations, he became squad
leader. Alexander graduated eleventh in his class in 2373, achieving magna
cum laude status. His skills at the helm and overall record won him a
posting as helm officer of the then-flagship U.S.S. Excelsior under the
command of Admiral Andy B. Clements at the rank of ensign.
Alexander worked his way up to lieutenant commander and second officer on
the Excelsior, and tried to serve well as the helm officer, and later
operations officer. During that time, he had been decorated various times,
as he had been awarded two Silver Clusters, a Fleet Wide Sim Award, two Gold
Sim Awards, the Gamma Cluster, and the Commander's Award. At one point
during the Dominion War, Alexander was captured by Dominion forces. (Details
classified.) Alexander served as acting commanding officer of the U.S.S.
Odyssey for a diplomatic mission with the Arete in 2376.
In late 2376, Alexander was promoted to commander and executive officer of
the U.S.S. Agamemnon under the command of Captain Roel Jere.

PERSONALITY PROFILE
Starfleet Science was forced to give Alexander a psychological evaluation
before letting him go. Said of Counselor Marissa Callista of Starfleet
Science, "Alexander Synth bears more responsibility in his mind than he
really needs to. Since day one, he has been the oldest among his siblings,
and felt that he needed to take care of them. If he is ever on a mission and
an officer dies, Alexander will
take it quite hard, blaming himself for the entire ordeal when it probably
isn't his fault." Recently, Alexander has been more and more embracing the
Klingon side of his being, since it had been genetically programmed into him.
Alexander hasn't yet stuck himself with painstiks, but he has done some
research, and is starting to practice Klingon martial arts a bit more. He
practices with an interactive hologram named K'Tor frequently.

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Alexander was given some Klingon genes when he was created, even though to
the naked eye, he looked completely human. Thus he has strength and agility
greater than that of the average human being that participates in regular
exercise. In various tests, what has proven most interesting was that the
combination of human and Klingon genes have resulted in Alexander possibly
being resistant to Borg
assimilation nanoprobes. This has been proven in the midst of a battle, when
the Excelsior encountered a Borg vessel. Alexander's strength and agility
has also given him the ability to play Parrises Squares quite well, that
along with seven years of practice at Triton Labs.

HISTORY

An explorer from the homeworld of Felinar,my planet was taken over by the
Borg while my ship was on an exploration mission.We returned to find it
assimilated.The borg destroyed my ship and only a few escaped.My escaped pod
malfunction and I was in hypersleep for 50 years before I was found by a
Federation vessel.After I was briefed by the Federation officers I asked to
join up because I had no where else to go. I learned the Starfleet way of
life
very quickly. I am quick and agile which has gotten me a few medals in the
battle with the Dominion. My loyalty to a ship is very strong.

An explorer from my homeworld of Felinar,my planet was assimilated by the

our ship,as some of the escape pods fled from the ship.My pod malfunctioned
and put me into a hypersleep.I drifted for 50 years before reaching
Federation space.After briefing the Federation on my predicament,I asked to
join Starfleet.I "adapted", so to speak,very quickly to the Starfleet way of
life.I have learned to intertwine my training of Felinar arts to the training
bestowed upon me by Starfleet.My speed,agility, and discipline have earned me
a few commendations by some of my former commanding officers.

Personal Bio:
Parents were Starfleet scientist who were friends of Korkon a Klingon
scientist.
They saved the Klingons life at a diplomatic party some years ago. They had
remained friends since.

Due to the untimely death of the two Human Scientist, they had left a child
orphaned. In the last will and testament the couple had placed their only
child in the care of Korkon. He and his wife came to Earth and claimed their
ward. When the infant was five months old the Klingon family petitioned to
adopt the boy as their own. He had no living human relatives to care for him.

He was somewhat a sickly child by Klingon standards, so KorKon gave the boy a
name that he hoped one day he could prove honorable. The child was known as
VajHoS (Strong Warrior) This was also to make him fight for what he wanted
and not to take abuse from any Klingon or other species.

his aggressive at times, keeps somewhat to himself, has a fascination for

of rebelion,but I believe once he is assigned to a Star ship he will adjust
in a timely manner. He is in excellent health. My over all recommendation is
that Cadet VajHoS is fit for duty. And after graduation should be
placed for active duty.

Psychological/Personal Profile:
Roel Jere is a religious man who believes strongly in his Bajoran heritage
and culture. He was raised in the shadow of the Cardassian occupation of
Aurelia, and has learned to hate Cardassians. His personal motto is that
"Any Cardassians within ten light-years of me are as good as dead!"
Above everything, however, Roel is dedicated to his duty. He is willing to
sacrifice anything and everything for the greater good. He is very loyal to
the chain of command, and is very respecting of it. He is also strict, and
will punish harshly if his orders or wishes are not followed out exactly.
Roel's interests are varied, but they include holo-recreations of his home,
as well as of ancient places from many cultures, including the Library of
Alexandria, Atlantis, B'hala, and others. He also enjoys spicy food, and has
a great range of knowledge on 'spicing up' food of different races. He
enjoys hunting, as well as what he calls 'yard work.' He was at one time the
groundskeeper of the arboretum aboard the Lothlorien.


Family Background:
Aurelia V is one of two habitable planets in the Aurelia system, which is
located in the Alpha quadrant near the Bajoran system. Aurelia VI and V were
originally unpopulated by humanoids, but the first Bajoran settlers (one of
which was Roel Jere's grandfather) landed there approximately 65 years ago,
seeking to escape from the Cardassian Occupation of Bajor. (Aurelia VI was
not colonized, due to its long winters.) After the Cardassians had
settled themselves in on Bajor, they decided that it was the time to find the
Bajorans who had fled to Aurelia (about thirty years after the Bajoran
Occupation started). The Cardassians soon found Aurelia, and the Aurelian
Occupation began. At about this time, Roel's father was about 25 years old,
and he joined the quick-formed resistance movement on the planet.
About five years into the Aurelian Occupation, Roel's mother was traveling
through the system with her father, who was an explorer. Thinking that their
ship was a Bajoran resistance ship, the Cardassians shot it down. Roel's
father spotted their ship going down and rushed to their aid. However, when
he arrived, Roel's father found only his future wife to still be alive. He
took her into his care, nursed her back to health, and they were soon
married. Shortly after that, Roel was born.


Pre-Academy History:
Born on Aurelia during the Occupation, Roel Jere escaped the Cardassians
with his family at age 7, and fled to the Federation, where he received
assistance. At age thirteen, Roel and his father returned to Aurelia, to aid
the resistance movement there. He lived on Aurelia, in the Octra Province
near the Violet Coast for four years, before deciding to apply to Starfleet
Academy.
When his father and he returned to Aurelia, his mother, a human, chose to
stay on Earth. She remarried a Klingon man, Gortag, of the house of Korblan.
Their marriage resulted in Roel's brother, a Klingon/Human named Alexander,
Son of Gortag. Alexander graduated Starfleet Academy, and is now posted as
Assistant Armory Officer aboard Starbase 31.

Academy History:
Before joining Starfleet, Roel was torn between whether to join the Bajoran
Militia or Starfleet. He finally decided and then applied to Starfleet
Academy. He was accepted and began attending on New Britain at age 17 for
four years. He had a wonderful time at the Academy, or he thinks he does
because he can't remember, he spent so much time on his work and studies. He
graduated with the highest ever scores in First Fleet Tactical classes, and
was
28th in his class overall.

Post-Academy History:
Roel's first assignment was on the USS Excalibur as a torpedo mechanic.
During his posting on the Excalibur he had to make the decision about whether
or not to turn in his father, who was a Maquis rebel, to authorities during a
mission against the Maquis. He finally decided not to, but he would not make
the same decision again.

Starship Design Notes
The USS Aurora, NCC-72832 is a small planetary survey vessel, designed for
exploration. With a large array of planetary-sensor capabilities, as well as
a matching extended array of specialized labs, there is no planet the USS
Aurora cannot analyze and recognize.

Planetary Short Range Sensor Package (Ultra-Advanced)
Given its duties as a vessel of scientific exploration vessel, the USS Aurora
can utilize an extended array of sensor equipment. From being able to detect
hundreds of kinds of pollution in a planet's atmosphere to future earthquakes
to the effect of cosmic rays on a planet's development, there is no planet
the USS Aurora cannot scan and analyze.

Specialized Science Labs
In addition to her powerful sensor capabilities, the USS Aurora also has a
set of several advanced science labs at her disposal. These labs cover the
spectrum of science, from astrophysics to botany to geology. However,
because the Aurora is intended for planetary survey, the major focus of her
several labs is planetary science. When you couple the Planetary Geology
Lab, the Botany Lab, and the Planetary Development Lab with the strength and
variety of her sensors, you get a survey ship more advanced than any that has
come before it.

Type 9 Personnel Shuttles (Aquatic/Atmospheric Use Adapted)
To aide in her pursuit of scientific knowledge, the USS Aurora comes with two
Type 9 Personnel shuttles, adapted for her mission. Both shuttles are
adapted to be able to withstand extreme atmospheric turbulence, so they can
land safely on planets when intense storms would prevent landing a normal
shuttle.
Not only are the shuttles adapted for intense atmospheric operation they are
also adapted for underwater use. Their hulls are built to withstand large
pressures, enough so that they can easily dive deep into the depths of oceans
on alien worlds. In addition, their engines are specially adapted for
underwater maneuvering.

Auxiliary Facilities and Recreation
The USS Aurora may not be a large ship, but she does come with enough
recreational facilities to keep the crew happy and keep morale up during long
planetary research missions.
Holodeck. The Aurora contains one holodeck, which comes preprogrammed with a
wide variety of programs, from tropical paradises, to diagnostic simulations,
to training simulations.
Crew Lounge. The Aurora's lounge is a place for the crew to come together and
unwind, relax, and share stories, food, and drink. Two replicators or
located on either end of the mess hall, and are preprogrammed with literally
thousands of different food selections, from Vulcan to Klingon to Cardassian.
The mess hall can seat 20 individuals.
Arboretum. The Aurora's arboretum houses hundreds of different plant
species. It provides a relaxing stroll for those who have had too much of
the gray interior of the Aurora, while at the same time giving the science
department ample room to conduct experiments on the various flora.

Personal Bio:
Parents were Starfleet scientist who were friends of Korkon a Klingon
scientist.
They saved the Klingons life at a diplomatic party some years ago. They had
remained friends since.

Due to the untimely death of the two Human Scientist, they had left a child
orphaned. In the last will and testament the couple had placed their only
child in the care of Korkon. He and his wife came to Earth and claimed their
ward. When the infant was five months old the Klingon family petitioned to
adopt the boy as their own. He had no living human relatives to care for him.

He was somewhat a sickly child by Klingon standards, so KorKon gave the boy a
name that he hoped one day he could prove honorable. The child was known as
VajHoS (Strong Warrior) This was also to make him fight for what he wanted
and not to take abuse from any Klingon or other species.

PRE-ACADEMY BACKGROUND:

Studies include archaeology, physics, science, art, history. Served in
Andorian Military at 14. He fought in the Third Andorian Conflict at 15,
achieving rank of Second Leader. Starfleet Equivalent - Commander. During
this Conflict, Haven was mortally wounded and lying near death on the
battlefield.

In what can only be described as a miracle, at the time, he was visited
by a seemingly omnipotent being who restored Haven's health and vigor. But
not without a price to be paid. A symbiotic alien antibody was entered into
his bloodstream and now exists within him on a cellular level. It has
greatly enhanced his healing abilities on a grand scale and sharply prevents
his mind from being probed by most telepaths.

He was honorably discharged upon cessation of hostilities to pursue
Starfleet career at 17 under protest of his family. Haven removed himself
from his family structure under an old Andorian custom.

STARFLEET TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Studies include matter conversion, philosophy, Terran History.
Considered to be exceptionally intelligent, finishing in the top two percent
of his graduating class, Haven has high proficiency in both Tactical and
Operations and earned a secondary rating in Engineering

POST-ACADEMY TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Student of Vulcan Philosophy under Ambassador T'Pring on Vulcan for one
year. Headed archaeological dig on the distant world of Cheron. Assistant
to T'Pring at Tholian/Andorian Peace Accords conference on Earth. Returned to
Vulcan to continue studies for one year prior to beginning official duty with
Starfleet.

STARFLEET HISTORY:

First assigned to USS Enterprise NCC-1701 D under recommendation of
Commander William T. Riker. Served for three years aboard USS Enterprise
until court martial due to incidents occurring during a since classified
mission to the Mutara sector. This mission has since been named the "Genesis
Factor." Due to complications resulting from the aforementioned mission,
disciplinary action was taken against Haven.

He was charged with assault of a superior officer and disobeying direct
orders from a superior officer. Rather than be relieved of his duties as a
Starfleet officer, Haven accepted reduction in rank to Ensign as penalty for
his actions. Haven believed that his actions were justified, but honorably
accepted the judgment of Captain Jean-Luc Picard and continued to be a
productive member of Starfleet.

Haven next served for some time aboard the USS Federation. As Assistant
Chief Engineer, his Engineering skills were upgraded and put to extensive use
aboard that vessel which seemed to be under constant attack. Growing
dissatisfied with life there, he transferred to Starbase 12 to serve
temporarily as Chief of Security there. He was contacted by Captain Richard
Semino and was asked to join him aboard his ship, a science vessel,
USS Hermes, as Chief Tactical Officer.

Aboard the Hermes, Haven's life experiences went from everyday life
aboard a Starship, to the most life-threatening of situations. Once, he
nearly sacrificed his own life to deter the destructive, murderous power of a
xenomorphic organism that killed and devoured several crewmen. It was here
that three Starfleet Officers were witness to one of the most bizarre healing
methods ever demonstrated.

The symbiote that had been incorporated into Haven's bloodstream had
emerged from within and whipped about Haven in thick, black tendrils,
covering him completely as like a caterpillar cocoons itself. Emerging from
the chrysalis some 48 hours later, Haven stood completely healed and totally
renewed. No record of the symbiote antibody's actions were made under direct
orders of Commander Kyla Raven.

The other two officers involved, Chief Medical Officer Teena and Doctor
Grant were ordered to forget what they had seen. Commanders Raven and Haven
were romantically involved and Haven has shown Raven the alien symbiote only
once, asking her not to reveal to anyone his special abilities.

Ship's Counselor Bethany Duncan found it odd that although (like the
Ferengi) most Andorians were difficult to read empathically, she could get no
reading from Haven whatsoever. This would be consistent with the antibody's
ability to screen out most prying minds. To this date, it is not known the
limits of this symbiotic antibody or whether or not it can be removed from
Haven. One such attempt proved unsuccessful.

Jar'Tan came in contact with another Andorian who has changed the way he
looks at life and life around him. Thala, who is blind, but sees through
means of a sensor net she wears, sees things in ways Haven never could have.
The adopted daughter of his former colleague, Selar, came to visit Haven as
her handicap would not permit her to visit the world of her parents origin,
Andor. His task was to give Thala experiences and education among her
own kind.

Thala and Haven have grown together, both as individuals, and as
friends. Although she has confessed her love for him, Haven is hesitant to
return the woman's feelings for fear of allowing something to happen to her.
Recently though, the two are nearly always seen together. Although she is
his student and his closest friend, there remains a part of himself that
won't allow himself to love her as anything more than a best friend.

After serving his Captain and crew unswervingly for some time, Haven
left the Hermes to assist on the designs of a new class of Starship being
called Infinity Class. His Engineering and Tactical knowledge were
invaluable in this ship's design and will be a major factor in the
construction of Starfleet's newest breed of ship for the dawn of the 25th
Century.

After spending some time away from Starfleet and the day to day stresses
induced, Haven recently spent time on Vulcan with Thala and her mother Selar.
He visited Earth once more with Thala and then took to the stars once more
for his home on Andor to visit his dying father. While there, several
incidents arose involving both Jar'Tan and Thala. As a result, he has since
given up his familial legacy and the world of his birth, swearing never to
return.

In-between assignments, Haven was asked to rejoin the crew of the new
Sovereign Class vessel USS Enterprise NCC-1701 E by Captain Jean-Luc Picard
as the new Chief of Security and Tactical. Due to the events that took place
on Andor, his departure window was missed and another officer was assigned
the post, much to both Haven's and Picard's disappointment.

Haven was recalled once more to serve aboard the USS Federation under
the command of Captain Ariell St. Duiex as Operations Manager, Helmsman and
Second Officer. After serving there in the best capacity possible under an
increasingly difficult environment, events there forced the Andorian's hand
to leave the vessel for the second time. Feeling unappreciated and denied
his opportunity to advance to the rank of First Officer, Haven
resigned his post from USS Federation stating Starfleet had prejudices
against Andorians commanding Federation Starships.

It seems whenever Commander Haven leaves one ship, he is quickly
recalled for duty. USS Eclipse Captain Rebecca Akerio, a longtime friend who
had served with Haven twice on USS Federation during both of his tours there,
recruited the officer to her vessel as she felt what other Captains had lost
would be her gain.

His stoic manner, efficiency and straightforwardness had been attributes
she had always admired in him. She also knew he was a man who got the job
done with very few, if any, questions. She offered him the post of
Operations Manager, a job he had performed time and again without fail. He
accepted the post, an empty but much needed position, and soon after was
promoted to Second Officer.

It is in this capacity that Haven seems to excel most. While Operations
is as a secondary reflex to Haven, his command abilities, coupled with his
military experience, make him an excellent third in command. While Haven
personally feels that Starfleet bears an unwarranted prejudice against
Andorians, he is confident that he will one day get his own command.

As with most Andorians, Haven is an above average hand to hand
combatant, and a savage but skilled warrior. He is proficient with all forms
of weapons, and can defend himself with precision accuracy should the cause
arise. His collection of ancient weapons was shown prominently on Andor in
the Museum of Shras, but has since been removed and is now displayed on Earth
at San Francisco's Starfleet Academy.

Due to the Breen attack on Earth during the Federation Alliance/Dominion
War, Haven, like many other Starfleet Officers volunteered his services to
assist in the restoration of both Starfleet Command and Starfleet Academy.
He went to Earth for three weeks and helped in the rebuilding process. Not
an easy task by any means. He felt that it was his responsibility to try and
pay back a little of what Starfleet had invested in him so many years
ago.

With Starfleet Command and the Academy now rebuilt, the war having ended
shortly afterwards and an armistice signed by the Dominion, Haven was placed
in temporary command of the USS Renegade by Admiral T. Z. Serling as its
Captain until he could deliver the Ambassador class vessel and it's crew to
Admiral Bill Ross who was assisting with the relief effort on Cardassia.
After transferring command of USS Renegade to Admiral Ross,
Haven requested to remain aboard her until he could find another vessel on
which to serve.

With the notion of being placed into the command structure of the
Eclipse becoming less and less a reality, with the arrival of a new Captain
in his absence, he decided that his talents and experience would be of better
use someplace else. The Eclipse was now a less desirable place for him to
be. A call placed to both Admirals Serling and Nacheyev (and the cashing in
of a favor) got both Haven and his Orion companion Chief of
Earth Sciences First Lieutenant Rylene Sadrac an extended tour of duty aboard
the USS Renegade. Shortly after, they were both granted a well-earned
furlough where the two ventured upon an archaeological dig in the Sudan of
Egypt on Earth.

Six weeks later, and somewhat rested, both Lieutenant Commander Haven
and First Lieutenant Sadrac now serve aboard the USS Agamemnon under the
command of Captain Makor Jaren, coming highly recommended. Haven returns to
a role he is all too familiar with, Chief Tactical Officer, coupled with the
duties of Chief of Security. Miss Sadrac continues on in her capacity as a
Chief of Anthropological / Paleontological / Archaeological Sciences (Earth
Sciences).

In the eight months Haven has been aboard USS Agamemnon, he has been
awarded several medals for performance but has shunned all of them. Andorian
customs seem to deem awards (such as medals) as frivolous and distasteful.
Haven was also posted as Second Officer on or about Stardate 0005.01.

Stardate 0007.13 - Requested to be relieved of Second Officer's post.

Although Haven has been a veteran member of Starfleet for a number of
years, he has repeatedly been passed up for promotion to Executive Officer by
various Captains on various assignments through no fault of his own. The
Grim One continues to grow weary of Starfleet life. It is the Andorian's
hope that one day he will be recognized for his efforts in some manner or
another. Untril then, he must bide his time and wait. Haven still feels
that
Starfleet bears an unwarranted prejudice against any member of his race being
allowed to sit in a Captain's chair.

PERSONALITY PROFILE:

Jar'Tan Haven is typically a soft-spoken, quiet and reserved individual
like most Andorians. While he comes off as a seemingly embittered
individual, it is not the case in fact. Haven is considered brutally honest
and extremely straightforward. He is an insightful, adaptable, dependable
self-starter with the ability to work independently. He has also proven
himself to be a resourceful, detail-oriented problem solver. In past events,
he
placed his own life in peril in order to restore a damaged Warp drive system,
nearly sacrificing his life in the process. He seems to put the ship and
crew above his own personal needs. This seems to be a trait inherent in his
race.

While he tends to shun most ship activities and festivities, he can
often be found harnessing his fighting skills in one of the gymnasiums. He
also spends much of his free time alone in his quarters, or in the company of
Rylene Sadrac. He is an even-tempered individual who is not difficult to
approach, but still remains somewhat standoffish. It should be noted that
Haven is not a person to be angered. Andorians, as soft-spoken as they may
be, are ruthless debaters and are historically known to never back down from
an argument or a fight.

SPECIES ATTRIBUTES:

Andorians are a blue-skinned race of beings with thick white hair and
blue or violet eyes. Their most prominent feature are their antennae that
rest atop their heads. Their antennae are used mostly for audio/visual and
enhance both senses greatly. They are the only insectoid/humanoid species in
the Federation. They have a tough exoskeleton-like exterior that makes them
resistant to most hand-to-hand blows and low settings of phasers. The
Andorian warrior heritage is reputable for being the most savage and brutal
warriors, quite possibly surpassing the Klingons.

Andorian mating habits are somewhat unusual, as seem to be a most
propagative race. The females are considered women by the age of eight and
are ready for marriage and breeding. On Andor it is not uncommon for a young
female to marry an older male. Andorians marry and breed at a very young
age, by Terran standards. The women are fertile and ready for marriage by
the age of 8. Although childlike in appearance, they are considered to be
adult
by Andorian standards.

They have had several civil wars in their ancient and recent past. It
is only recently that the Andorians have found some sense of what can only be
described as a cessation of all hostilities. The tensions are ever high
amongst their people, and it is the hope of the Federation that a sense of
true peace and harmony will be attained on Andor and the Andorian colonies
spread throughout the Federation.

THE MATERIAL BELOW IS CONSIDERED
CLASSIFIED AND FOR EYES ONLY

Note: It is rumored that Commander Haven has been approached several
times to join an as yet to be officially confirmed or denied branch of
Starfleet known only as Section 31. Each time, Haven has supposedly declined
such offers, however, it should be noted that there have been several
"unofficial" incidents surrounding
Commander Haven's extracurricular activities that may warrant further
examination.

Note: Upon recent physical examination of Commander Haven, there have
been several inconclusive speculations surrounding the mysterious alien
symbiotic antibody (ASA) that inhabits Haven's physical body on an almost
genetic level. One doctor's notes included the following statement:

"The foreign cells within Commander Haven do not seem to impair him from
performing his day to day functions nor do they limit his physicality in any
way. Upon physical examination, Commander Haven's stamina, endurance,
agility and strength have been greatly enhanced as well as his normal senses.
Appearing only under microscopic examination, the cells do not seem to
register via conventional
methods of examination, i.e., medical Tricorders, biobed scanners. It is a
possibility that this species of microcellular organism uses this ability to
mask it's presence. It is highly possible to assume, and not totally
improbable, that Commander Haven may at times be rendered undetectable by
conventional methods.

Upon further examination of the cells inhabiting Lieutenant Commander
Haven's biocmolecular/genetic makeup, I can offer no viable solution as to
removing them from him or as to what their origin may be. The cells are to
be classified as of unknown origin and no further tests will be performed.

This is a medical conundrum for which I have no explanation."

idea of wearing a kilt.  He also did some independent schooling in music,
where he learned the violin, classical piano, bagpipes, and flute.  He also
trained his Tenor voice.

He began schooling in Oxford University in Oxford, England, where he
graduated "cum laude," but not as well in the rankings.  He graduated with a
doctorate in Chemistry, Engineering, and Law on Stardate 9505.17.  He then
took the Starfleet Entrance Exams in San Francisco on Stardate 9207.17 and
began his training there.

Family History
Jonathan Michael Locke, Christopher's father, was born on Stardate 4304.24 in
St. Petersburg on Earth.  He himself took a kindred interest in music and
instilled that love in Christopher.  He always wanted Christopher to keep is
nose to the grindstone, always work hard to obtain a good education and good
career path.  Jonathan himself entered Starfleet and is currently holding the
rank of Fleet Captain, commanding the USS Wellesley.  He wanted
Christopher to follow in his footsteps.

Alexandra Sarah Holbrook Locke, Christopher's mother, was born on Stardate
5010.07 in Glasgow, Scotland.  She has within her a great sense of pride in
her Scottish heritage, tracing her line back as far to the Roberts of Bruce
who ruled Scotland during the twelfth and thirteenth centuries.  She too went
to school graduating top of her class and unlike Jonathan Locke, who got his
post-secondary education at the academy, she attended Oxford University,
receiving a doctorate in botany, graduating "magna cum laude."  She "forced"
Jonathan Locke to move here once they were married on the steps of The
Catedral de Notre Dame.  Jonathan loved his wife deeply, and understood her
passion for Scotland and they settled down in the Northern Highlands, away
from the people and the humdrum of society, where Alexandra could practice
her botany.  Their home is a manor where both sides of the family resides,
since
Jonathan is often away on the Wellesley and she is on planets as a head
botanists on expeditions.

Unfortunately, Christopher grew up an only child, but with many cousins, for
Jonathan had two brothers - Joshua and Aaron, who were both also born in St.
Petersburg.  Alexandra has one brother and two sisters, named Scott, Sarah,
and Jamie.  Christopher has eleven cousins.

Christopher has the grandparents from his mother's side still alive, but his
father's family are all deceased accept for his two brothers and their

Pre-Starfleet History

Tyran grew up on the homeworld of her people, Olasia. She was the first and
only child of Giron and Moriane S'Tor. As a child, Tyran had always been
fascinated by moving things, and always seemed eager to take them apart. She
would not only take things apart, but she began to build things as well.
Simple toy blocks became huge creations on the floor of her small room.
Her parents had never had a large amount of wealth. Their small town house
in Leisior City wasn't small, but it certainly was not as large as most homes
in the area. Tyran's parents worked long hours in order to pay for her
exclusive education. Despite the two jobs her parents worked, money was still
tight. At age sixteen, Tyran quit school and got a job working in a shuttle
craft manufacturing plant so her parents could quit their second jobs.
After ten more years of working her way through the factory, Tyran had
finally saved enough money to return to her education. She would spend
another ten years of her life dedicated to her studies in the field of
engineering. Once her schooling was completed, Tyran S'Tor became an
apprentice to a research and development professor on her world. She learned
the inside and out of a warp core, and the basic components of all space
ships. The student
shortly became the master, and had developed incredible engineering skills.
However, a war broke out on her world between the Tiron Continent and the
Lormar Continent. The fight was fueled by the fact that the Lormar had
annexed Tiron waters (for water was very scarce on the planet of Olasia).
Tyran was forced to become a soldier. She learned the art of warfare quickly,
and soon rose in the ranks of the Tiron Infantry.
Once the war was over, Tyran found herself longing to get away from the
destructive nature of her people. When the United Federation of Planets came
in to assist in negotiating the terms of the peace treaty, Tyran decided to
investigate the Federation further. After much deliberation, Tyran S'Tor
decided to leave her home world and pursue a career with Starfleet.
Despite the fact that the war caused pain and suffering, and is associated
with bad memories, Tyran still carries her sword from the victory battle. The
sword's blade is thirty inches long with a leather grip. It is mounted over
her bed, and she often takes it to the holodeck and practices her
swordsmanship. She often remarks the sword reminds her of where she came
from, and what she had to do to her where she is.

Species/Planet Information

The Olasian people inhabit a two continent planet in the Vilorson star
system. Olasia is the third planet orbiting the sun. It is 4/5 land, and very
little of the water is drinkable. A day is thirty hours long. Temperatures
range from highs around 120F to -60F throughout the year.
The Olasian people are indigenous to their planet, and have two main races.
The Lormar occupy the Lormar Continent, and the Tiron occupy the Tiron
Continent. The Lormar is the largest, but has the smaller population. The
Tiron, while smaller, have a much larger population, and therefore more water
territory. A feud between the two people has been going on for hundreds of
years. The Filmore Peace Agreement (which describes water boundaries, is
currently active and in place.
The two races are not very different biologically, but their appearances are
drastically different. The Tiron have a pale green skin, and have slightly
pointed ears. The Lormar are a deep purple, with smaller eyes and much more
pronounced ears. Both are telepathic to some extent, with the degree of
telepathy varying from person to person. The life expectancy of the average
Olasian is approximately 250 Terran years.

Starfleet Record

Tyran S'Tor entered Starfleet Academy at age eighty-two. Her classes focused
on all aspects of engineering and Research and Development. She already has a
great amount of skill in general warp drive engineering. Tyran enrolled in
the standard four year Academy program, and graduated with honors. Having
goals of eventual command, she went into the Federation's Command School for
an additional two years.

Personal Information: Eddie is a very quiet and secretive person, most likely

Roel Jere is a religious man who believes strongly in his Bajoran heritage
and culture. He was raised in the shadow of the Cardassian occupation of
Aurelia, and has learned to hate Cardassians. His personal motto is that
"Any Cardassians within ten light-years of me are as good as dead!"
Above everything, however, Roel is dedicated to his duty. He is willing to
sacrifice anything and everything for the greater good. He is very loyal to
the chain of command, and is very respecting of it. He is also strict, and
will punish harshly if his orders or wishes are not followed out exactly.
Roel's interests are varied, but they include holo-recreations of his home,
as well as of ancient places from many cultures, including the Library of
Alexandria, Atlantis, B'hala, and others. He also enjoys spicy food, and has
a great range of knowledge on 'spicing up' food of different races. He
enjoys hunting, as well as what he calls 'yard work.' He was at one time the
groundskeeper of the arboretum aboard the Lothlorien.
When Roel's commanding officer aboard the Agamemnon, Captain Jaren, died on
stardate 0004.06, Roel was crushed emotionally. His mental state was not
aided when he was subsequently promoted to Captain, replacing the man he felt
guilty for letting die. Seeking revenge, Roel pursued Mihalje madly and
nearly destroyed the Agamemnon in capturing him. After realizing the damage
he had caused, Roel became depressed, unsure of himself, and
secluded himself from the crew. After wrestling with the decision of whether
or not to remain as Captain for nearly a month, Roel finally decided to stay.
He has since regained his confidence and abilities, and continues to perform
well as Captain.

Family Background:
Aurelia V is one of two habitable planets in the Aurelia system, which is
located in the Alpha quadrant near the Bajoran system. Aurelia VI and V were
originally unpopulated by humanoids, but the first Bajoran settlers (one of
which was Roel Jere's grandfather) landed there approximately 65 years ago,
seeking to escape from the Cardassian Occupation of Bajor. (Aurelia VI was
not colonized, due to its long winters.) After the Cardassians had
settled themselves in on Bajor, they decided that it was the time to find the
Bajorans who had fled to Aurelia (about thirty years after the Bajoran
Occupation started). The Cardassians soon found Aurelia, and the Aurelian
Occupation began. At about this time, Roel's father was about 25 years old,
and he joined the quick-formed resistance movement on the planet.
About five years into the Aurelian Occupation, Roel's mother was traveling
through the system with her father, who was an explorer. Thinking that their
ship was a Bajoran resistance ship, the Cardassians shot it down. Roel's
father spotted their ship going down and rushed to their aid. However, when
he arrived, Roel's father found only his future wife to still be alive. He
took her into his care, nursed her back to health, and they were soon
married. Shortly after that, Roel was born.

Pre-Academy History:
Born on Aurelia during the Occupation, Roel Jere escaped the Cardassians
with his family at age 7, and fled to the Federation, where he received
assistance. At age thirteen, Roel and his father returned to Aurelia, to aid
the resistance movement there. He lived on Aurelia, in the Octra Province
near the Violet Coast for four years, before deciding to apply to Starfleet
Academy.
When his father and he returned to Aurelia, his mother, a human, chose to
stay on Earth. She remarried a Klingon man, Gortag, of the house of Korblan.
Their marriage resulted in Roel's brother, a Klingon/Human named Alexander,
Son of Gortag. Alexander graduated Starfleet Academy, and is now posted as
Assistant Armory Officer aboard Starbase 31.

Before joining Starfleet, Roel was torn between whether to join the Bajoran
Militia or Starfleet. He finally decided and then applied to Starfleet
Academy. He was accepted and began attending on New Britain at age 17 for

because he can't remember, he spent so much time on his work and studies. He
graduated with the highest ever scores in First Fleet Tactical classes, and
was
28th in his class overall.

Post-Academy History:
Roel's first assignment was on the USS Excalibur as a torpedo mechanic.
During his posting on the Excalibur he had to make the decision about whether
or not to turn in his father, who was a Maquis rebel, to authorities during a
mission against the Maquis. He finally decided not to, but he would not make
the same decision again.
