Yesterday was a pretty hectic day at duty. The Everest had standing orders
to search any ships entering the Hemarien System for anything that might be
considered cybernetic. The Everest is running under the command of LtCdrTefa
while Captain Lynx and several intelligence officers were out on a covert
mission. The details of this mission are classified & a little sketchy, and
the Captain is now considered Missing In Action ( MIA ).
During my shift , we had two ships enter the Hemarien System, one was a
freighter bound for the shops/stores aboard the Everest, and the other was
the Science ship Devora, requesting permission to dock at the Everest. A "
health and safety inspection" was conducted on both ships, with cybernetic
discovered aboard the Devora.
During the inspection , I conducted an investigation into both ships
records. The Devora was of Vulcan registry and manned by the Institute of
Stellar Cartography, a privately owned firm contracted to perform Starmapping
for the Federation. I found no explanation why such a reputable ship or firm
would be involved in smuggling. The investigation into the Freighters records
revealed more mysterious past. The registry of the ship showed that it has
undergone alot of changes within the past 5 yrs, the
freighter has changed hands a total of 19 times within 5 yrs. I discovered a
common link in some of the ownership, they all seem to point back to an
Intergalactic shipping company called " Schuster Shipping". Further
investigation into the records of this company revealed that they are under
investigation for smuggling in numerous systems. The Freighter was
confiscated & will be turned over to StarFleet command for further
investigation.
All in all it was a very busy & exhausting day at Ops.... Even though I was
just filling in for the Operations Manager, LtJg WesC'Rusher, while he was
away on the Infinity.

It was a quiet day in ops, and a tiring one. Since Tage and Mars were away
on a mission, I was the only one their to man the tactical station. We
scanned all incoming ships, none of them were carrying cybernetics, so we
just scanned sent a away team and told them that we were sorry for the
inconvinence and let them dock. I spent most of the time checking over the
readiness of their wepons and also checking to make sure that everything was
in line with our wepons . Other than that it was just a
normall day on the space station.

"Computer, open duty log file and begin recording...
I began the mission, authorized by Admiral H*R***, by running system
diagnostics of all systems on the USS I******* with First Lieutenant Tage.
Once all systems checked out, we informed Fleet Captain Lynx, and he arrived
on the bridge of the vessel. Lieutenant Niron was assigned to the helm, and
the vessel left the station and warped away to the last known location of the
*Classified*. While en route, First Lieutenant Tage ordered me to main
engineering to provide security and help out as seen fit
by First Lieutenants Gygax and Stacey. Seconds after I had arrived, the USS
I******* arrived at the location of the *Classified*.
Fleet Captain Lynx, Stacey, Commander Mairwen, and Mr. C'Rusher beamed
over to the *Classified* to search for the *Classified*. First Lieutenant
Tage, placed in command, assigned me to the tactical station. At first, we
received no readings from the *Classified*. Then, the *Classified* powered up
its weapons faced the USS I*******. After making several threats against us,
the *Classified* locked torpedoes on us. First Lieutenant Tage ordered me to
fire a warning shot across their bow. Once this was
accomplished, we received an urgent hail from Commander R. Mairwen, ordering
us to beam them back.
As klaxons sounded, a B*** vessel emerged from the spacial rift nearby.
Niron and I worked very hard and were able to beam back the entire away team,
except for Fleet Captain Lynx. The B*** vessel opened fire on the
*Classified* and destroyed it. The current whereabouts of Fleet Captain Lynx
are unknown, and the USS I******* is investigating the area, keeping a
distance from the B*** vessel.

I was assigned to accompany Commodore Lynx to Hemaria to discuss the
government's concerns about our use of the Iconian Transporter. Also there
were Counselor Luna and Ensign Bern. We beamed down and met the Hemarian
Ambassador. No sooner were the pleasantries exchanged than the Commodore was
called back to Everest leaving the three of us to negotiate for the continued
use of the IT. We were escorted to a conference room where the Ambassador
questioned us thoroughly about our use of the transporter. We were forced
to defend certain instances where the "no weapons" directive was violated.
We had to convice the man that we were interested in the IT for other reasons
than just it's tactical importance. Luna, Bern, and I came up with
arguements and instances where the IT was used for medical and research
reasons. Afterwards the Ambassador handed us special PADD's on which we were
to
cite every instance where the IT was used for non-agressive reasons. We
wrote down our thoughts and then handed them back to him for review. It was
at this point that Luna, Bern, and I waited for their decision.

Starting with the beginning of my duty shift, I was to report to the USS
Mystique on which I would serve as Operations Manager for the mission. We
were to join a fleet of ships whose mission was to find what my superiors in
Starfleet Intelligence have called, Object 88. We were to find it and take
it by force if necessary. Specifically though, our ship was to try and find
a more peaceful way of capturing it. We began by fireing different
types of beams at it to see which, if any, it would respond to. Commander
Obrien fired beams until it responded to one. It responded by fireing the
beam back at us. It then tractored us inside of itself and went into high
warp. My current orders are to join an away team to explore the interior of
Object 88.

Today was a very slow day on Main Ops. I mostly ran level one diagnostics,
which weren't covered in the autodiagnostic systems, on the HMVs. I had just
finished them today. Then I heard a beeping from FstLt Nirons station, he
pressed it, and it turned out it was a communique from the Klingon Homeworld.
A group of terrorist Klingons tried to get my support in taking over the
empire, and of course I refused. Next, I was ordered to engineering to assist
FstLtGygax, FstLtStacey, and EnsWhit with repairs to
the Infinity. This didn't take long, only about five minutes. I then headed
back up to Ops, and decided that I should just go to my office, and start,
again, preparing for the ORI.
Like I said, it was a very slow day.

Today on our Convert Mission Operation, we took the Infinity out to find a
pirate ship, that may have been holding a subspace key, that could open up an
entry way to the borg homeworld. We managed to slip in right next to the ship
undetected. Then, as quick as we could, Cpt. Lynx assembled an away team,
including himself, and we beamed over; again, undetected. We broke up into
teams, and searched for the key. My tricorder picked up some readings, and
Cpt. Lynx and LtCdr Mairwen went after it. When they
got into the room, Cpt. Lynx was hit with a phaser. We were ordered to
return to the beam in sight, so Stacey and I complied. Once we reached the
sight, the away team beamed back to the Infinity. Then, a battle broke out
(not big). Once the pirate ship opened the subspace gate, a borg ship
emerged, and destroyed the pirate ship. We managed to cloak, and escape.

as in Hawkin's, Kirmina's and I's) by being briefed by Hawkins in the
Research and Development Office. We then headed out to the Dytallix to begin
testing the warp engines.
Kirmina and I started out in engineering. We first started by starting up
the warp core. I made sure the nacelles were disconnected, and we began
testing. I monitored the core build up while we started a low warp. At
first, there was no build up, I then detected build up around warp 6. As the
warp got higher the build became higher, and we were forced to shut down.
In the investigation, we realized that the deuterium supply casing had been
contaminated with tachyon particles. We saw no other cause except sabotage,
for the delivery records indicated they were completely operational and
uncontaminated. Ensign Kirmina fixed the problem with neutrino particles,
and we scheduled tomorrow as the date we would figure how to make the system
operable.

scanned several ships. We scanned a bajoran frieghter that was carrying
supplies from deep space nine. We also checked out a federation frighter
that was carrying supplies from utopia plenisha to us for
the infinity. We detected no signs of cybernetics. I hope this mission

Afterward, I ran some level one diagnostics on the systems pertaining
to the ORI. I found some VERY low scores, on two systems. The Structural
Intergrity Field (SIF) output, and the Inertial Dampening Field (IDF) output.
So I headed to Engineering to run make some repairs. It turned out that the
only problem was the amount of power being fed to the systems. The repairs

the ability to open a rift in space to the Borg. So we investigated. We
travelled through the nebula and I had to do some basic repairs on the core
to maximize its speed through it. when we came upon the pirate ship, we
beamed an away team aboard. Then the pirates summonned the Borg to their aid.
So we beamed the away team back. Captain Lynx didnt make it back. The Borg,

tunnel the Borg uses. The pirates widen it enough for those damnable Borgs
to come through. Even though I warned them about this, the Borg destroyed

Today just keeps getting more exciting. At first it started out pretty
boring though.
I wasn't able to go on duty today, for I had the cold. I headed right to
sickbay after I'd informed the captain of my absence. After analyzing for a
few minutes, she realized that due to me being a Jem'Hadar, it would take a
while to figure out how to cure the problem. She estimated that it would
take about the same time for it to go away naturally, so I decided to endure
it in my quarters, where I would be comfortable.
Instead of just doing what people did at the academy, just sitting around and
sleeping, I decided to get ready for the mission tomorrow. God I hope I feel
better tomorrow. I wouldn't want to miss one of the biggest days in Everest
history. I begin by going over what other people were doing by reading their
logs. I agree with Traci, unfortunately, I don't have any chemical weapons.
The only thing I have is.....Wait a minute!! My Jem'Hadar gun that I kept. I
bet the Borg have never encountered the
Jem'Hadar before, so it might be an advantage. Say......I wonder what would
happen if the Borg met the Jem'Hadar, and the Borg Queen met the Founders.
What would an assimilated Jem'Hadar look like, and how the heck would they
assimilate the Founders? They probably wouldn't try. They live pretty far
away from each other. Wait a minute!! They have a subspace key. Maybe a
bunch of Borg ships are trying to find the Founder's homeworld!! Nah, I'm
just being paraniod. Back to getting ready.
::Obrien pulls Jem'Hadar gun out of secured door::
This will be quite interesting to see: hoe much this gun does to them. I
hope it does at least SOMETHING. It would be a pretty big disappointment if
the Borg were able to block the frequency on the first shot. Nah, the
Founders had to have made these better than that.
Obrien>Computer, research all recent techniques used to defeat the Borg, and
any theorized on.
Computer>Compiling....complete.
::Obrien sits down at personal computer console::
Nanites, random phaser frequencies, fungustelling them to sleep..... It
doesn't seem like there's anything to modify that could possibly be used
against them. Everything we've already used on them won't work. They've
probably already adapted. As far as telling them to sleep using Lynx's Borg
implants, they've probably learned from that and put higher required
passwords or something.
But nanites have never been used before. The Omega Project is also a
possible way of destroying them. I don't think any external weapon will have
any effect on them though. Most attacks have either been from the inside
out, or have been an external attack in extremely large numbers, and I am
EXTREMELY LARGE.
Well, I can do is hope that......OH MY GOSH!!! My sinuses are cleared up, my
throat doesn't hurt, my eyes aren't watery, and my "ears" don't seem stuffed
up any more. I'm cured. I don't have the cold. Thank the Founders!! Now I
get to destroy the Borg (or at least try).

In the R&D office Hawkins explains his plan to Obrien and Kirmina.
Hawk> Ok even if the Dytallix were ready it's not a heavy cruiser. I don't
think that it would last long.
Obrien> Right.
Hawk> We have Everest, and the Infinity to work with then.
Obrien>Except, the Infinity is still damaged from the last encounter with the
Pirates and the Borg.
Kirmina> Isn't Starfleet sending other ships?
Hawk> Yes.
Obrien> But we're not sure if they'll get here in time.
Hawk> We need ideas, and we need them fast. We don't know when the Borg are
going to attack.
Obrien> Could they be waiting for reinforcements?
Hawk> Possibably.
Kirmina> They use a subspace signal to communicate right? Like ours?
Hawk> Not exactly like ours, but close. Do you have an idea? If you do lets
hear it.
Kirmina> I was thinking if we can create a subspace distortion field maybe
we could block their transmitions. In my research of the station, I believe
that we should station many guards around Pyra G, as that Pyra contains the
Iconian Transporter, a technology which the Borg don't have. They will
probably attempt to assimilate the technology and use it against us.
Hawk> You could be right. That'll be a security problem, but maybe we should
come up with a frequency randomizer for the phasers.
Hawk> How long would it take?
Kirmina> I'm not sure. I'll have to work on it.
Hawk> OK Ensign it's yours. Obrien I need you to see if we can get the Omega
project ready.
Obrien> There's a lot of work to be done. It's barely started.
Hawk> I know. But with the Metallica dropped we'll have to come up with a
system to be loaded into the Infinity.
Obrien> But.... it won't have all the failsafes.
Hawk> But if we can't stop the Borg here and now the failsafes won't matter.
Obrien> Your right. I'll get started. ::pauseing thoughtfully:: You know, I
recently began an R&D project: the Phaser Panel. We need all the weapons we
can get.
Kirmina>Phaser panel?
Obrien>Are you familiar with DS9's somewhat recent weapon upgrades?
Kirmina>I am.
Obrien>One of the upgrades was a phaser panel extending out from a docking
pylon, only this one is a little more advance. We may be able cover the
entire front section of the Infinity's saucer section with panels. Each
panel would be able to fire from any position on it, and at any angle and any
setting. It would give a lot more options for rapid and random firing.
Hawk>Sounds good, but you'd have to work with the material we have on
Everest, we won't have time for the materials to arrive from headquarters.
And we can't be sure that it'll work right the first time. We don't have the
time for it right now.
Obrien>I believe I could do it.
Hawk> I didn't say you couldn't Obrien. As a matter of fact I'm sure you
will. It's the time it'll take that concerns me right now.
Obrien> I understand sir.
Hawk> I'll tell Commander Tefa and First Lieutenant Soju what we're
planning.
Kirmina> Aye Sir.
Obrien> One last thing. Do you remember the organism I recently discovered
floating in space?
Hawk>Yes.
Obrien> I've been getting some strange readings from it.
Hawk> Is it a threat?
Obrien> I believe it is.
Hawk> Is it a threat right now?
Obrien> Well no not yet.
Hawk> Ok keep an eye on it, but the Borg are our main problen right now.Ok
lets get started then.Don't forget to keep up with the scans. And let me know
if you come up with any other ideas.
Obrien & Kirmina> Aye Sir.
Obrien and Kirmina both leave to begin their tasks. Sighing, Koric begins
to look over the scans from the Infinity to see if there's a way to close the
rift.

officers aren't allowed to escort any high-ranking officials or anything.
Basically all we're allowed to do is catch those low life scum criminals, and
shoot them. I guess walking around and doing
nothing, was better than sitting down and doing nothing. Once my little SSD
shift was over, I went back to Ops to work on any improvments to the systems,
which would help our score on the ORI; I haven't found anything yet, but I
hope I will. I also looked over the systems on the Infinity, and Rhodes, to

In preperation for this mission, I spent a lot of time in my office,
with my assistant. She and I went over duty logs, reports, specs, and any
other records we could find on the borg, to find the best way of defeating
them. We didn't find a whole lot right away, because most of it had to be
transmitted from Starfleet Intelligience. I found a few flaws, none that were
very solid. I also went over a list of computer viruses we had available, and
I loaded them onto a disk. Next, we headed to
engineering for a kit of equipment. We added a few more pieces of equipment,
just incase. The next, and last stop, was to FstLt Nick Smiles office, to
pick up some Type II Phasers, and a Phaser rifle.
Once we finished "packing", we headed back to Ops, where we began
running some more scans on the borg ship. So far, I have detected no power

with the borg. The R&D team is preparing for a concentrated, organized
strike on the inside of the borg ship. I am ordered to protect all the
important spots on everest. Zot is starting to get mad because the everest
placed team is not ordered to protect zot's at all costs. I am the head
tactical officer on ops and for our team. This will be a tough mission. We
don't have reinforcments, I just wish that captain picard and
the enterprise were here to help. The infinity is down after the initial
contact with the borg. It is just the borg and us. No help and no mercy.

Today was somewhat of an adrenaline flowing mission. It exciting, yet very
dangerous, and we all knew that.
My team, which was Delta Attack and Destroy Team, broke up into two
smaller groups, my group consisting of FstLt NickSmile, EnsMelissa, and me.
We started out in Pyra G, and after we went over the checklist for all the
items, and equipment we were to bring aboard, we opened the Iconian Window.
We started through, one at a time. After makeing our way aboard, we assemble
again to make sure everyone knew what they were doing.
Then, we broke up. My team headed one way, while the others headed
another. We took out a tricorder, and began scanning. Melissa found a port
almost immediatly. She began uploading the viruses to the borg computer,
while I scanned for another port. After we had finished uploading the first
couple of viruses, we informed FstLt McGill, and then searched for another
port. Almost immediatly we found one, and began uploading more viruses. After
finishing uploading all the viruses we brought with us,
we headed back to McGill. We found her, and her team fighting fiercely with
some borg. We all joined in, charging any borg we saw.
We did this for almost 10 minutes, before we were informed that
LtCdr Mairwens team had recoverd Flt. Cpt. Lynx. We then waited for the rest
of the Attack and Destroy teams to show up at our location, then we began
transporting.
Upon our arrival, Melissa and I grabbed a phaser, and headed to Ops.
We had to fight our way to a turbolift. Once we arrived on Ops, we began
trying to bring the internal sensors online. Soon after, the borg ship
exploded, shaking Everest immensly, thank God we survived.
Before we had even arrived on Everest, McGill, Mairwen, and the
Medical Staff were already working on Lynx. We stayed on Ops waiting for him
to recover.
It's going to take a LONG time to repair Everest from this
incident.

We had a very hard encounter with the borg yesterday. We had two teams that
were on the borg ship, one trying to rescue captain lynx and one trying to
destroy the ship, they took the brute of the assult. Cmdr Wit and I were on
the bridge trying to keep the everest shields up and Cmdr Wit was firing
continuous phaser blasts that were missing to fool the borg. It was working
until they cut through the shields. The hole was there for only a minute
when I raised the deflector shilds and the borg knew to
stop or they would be destroyed. The borg eventually blew up and the
mission was over

Today was a VERY hectic day, for all departments. During the borg attack, we
sustained immense damage, all over Everest. So, as a result, all of the

assistant, it should go well for my department.
We started out in Engineering, of course, where most of the repairs
to systems, subroutines, and the sort, were made. We started at the top, with
the most urgent, and worked our way to the bottom, with the least urgent. The
most urgent was, of course, life support. Some of the ventilation systems
were down, and some CO2 filters were destroyed. We had to replace most of
those parts. Also, the gravity generator was fluctuating on, and off, on
different parts of the ship, and when that happened,
the auxilary generators wouldn't kick in.
We also ended up replacing most of those parts as well. Our next
job, will probably be the weapons systems, then the SIF, and IDF systems. But
for now, we're finished.

Today was a somewhat nice and slow, which is a good change of pace since we
just got finished destroying the Borg ship yesterday. Boy was that exciting.
Today I began my my R&D project, the USS Inexorable. First, I need a reason
for the project. Lets see, I think I should do some research before I do
that. So I decided on heading to the science stations.
I looked up several previous starship classes that were being used now:
Nebula, Trafelgar, Galaxy, and Soveriegn. All of them seem to do pretty well
on missions. They are good for battle, exploration, and deplomacy. The only
disadvantage that the all shared was, for certain missions, they need special
modifications that can take quite a long time. So, one thing to make the sure
corrected is that it won't need special modifications, and that it has much
equipment for all missions as possible. Next, to
the weapons.
All the ships use almost the same amount of Type X phaser banks, howerever,
not all have quantum torpedoes, rapid fire torpedoes, or plasma torpedoes (a
new torpedo said to be in the next movie). The ship should try to have a
variety of weapons, most popularly in use today, as well as new ones as a
surprise. Lets see.....a new weapon system. It should be versitile and
powerful but able to be weak. A believe phasers would fit both descriptions.
The problem is, they are versitile, but not enough.
They should be able fire from anywhere on the emitter, not just 200-240
locations. What comes to mind.......DS9's upgrades. She recently got a
panel like phaser emitter, but it was only able to fire from one place. So
this new weapons would be a phaser panel type thing, able to fire from any
position on the panel. We wouldn't want it to just fire straight though, so
it would also fire at any angle.
Just as I began to work on some kind of sensor system/technique, I was called
by the newly promoted LtWesC to help with repairs to Everest. Its recent
battle had quite seriously damaged the starbase. The Infinity and also been
badly damaged, so I headed for the Operations Department.
Upon arriving, I saw several other familiar faces: Stacey, Soju, Hawk,
Kirmina, and Mars. Wes was at the front of the crowd using a console monitor
to illustrate repair jobs. Hawk, Kirmina, and I were assigned to repair
Everest's shields. So we headed for the tactical console to get a damage
estimate, and record it on a PADD.
We left the Operations Department and headed for the Research and Development
Department to conduct repairs from their. After assessing the damage we
recorded onto the PADD, I suggested upgrading Everest's shields with my
recent R&D project. Hawk asked me whether I asked the captain. I responded
telling him he told me to work with you on. So we began theorizing how it
would work, considering it is VERY different from installing it on a
starship.

Following the abduction of Captain Lynx by the Borg vessel, I was assigned

Kirmina. We assembled with Alpha team, led by Commander Mairwen, by the
Iconian transporter. Alpha team began their search on the upper decks, while
we began ours on the lower decks of the Borg vessel. As we transported over,
I covered the rest of the team. As the only
tactical/security officer on the team, I was assigned as point-man.
Ensign Kirmina and First Lieutenant Gygax began work on taping into the
main computer, Soju and I located and engaged a Borg security team. Ensign
Kirmina, with the help of a tricorder, was able to locate Captain Lynx. We
informed Alpha team and made our way, at a fast pace, towards his location.
At several points, we were engaged by Borg teams. First Lieutenants Soju and
Gygax, along with Ensign Kirmina, used Borg circuitry to "beat" the borg. I
used the standard phaser approach, although this only
worked for a short time.
We arrived at what seemed to be a Medical facility and were soon joined by
the Alpha team, Commander Mairwen, First Lieutenant Tage, Ensign Sira Jaro,
and Ensign Whit. Commander Mairwen informed me not to cut a wire between Lynx
and the mainframe. Ducking blows from Captain Lynx, I was able to determine
the safest way to disconnet Lynx from the main computer. We were able to
accomplish this, and Commander Mairwen dragged Captain Lynx in the direction
of the window. I provided cover for the team, and
everyone eventually made it through. As I carelessly turned to enter the
window myself, I was shot by a Borg phaser beam. I crumpled to the floor of
the tranporter room, and if not for the quick actions of First Lieutenant
Gygax, would be dead. After my phaser wound had been attended to, Gygax
rushed off to engineering, to be replaced by First Lieutenant McGill, MD and
Commander Mairwen, MD. Due to the actions of the Gamma and Delta teams, a
structure failure was rigged on the Borg vessel. As the Borg
vessel exploded, Starbase Everest was thrown around. I fell out of my
bio-bed, but was rescued by one of Mairwen's nurses. Mairwen and McGill have
begun work on restoring Captain Lynx.
Lieutenant (j.g.) Wes C'Rusher was promoted to full Lieutenant. Ensign 10s

Today I started out by working with FstLt Tage, Lt Pack, and Ltjg Mars
on the tactical departments damage. Apparently they had some overloaded
circiutry, causing a feedback loop. Since it was hurting the Operation of the
tactical department, it was my job to assist. For now we have taken out some
of the circuitry to test it, to see if we could still use it, and not have to
order replacments. We did this testing in engineering. With the help of Ens
Whit, we did the appropriate scans, and tests on
the circuitry. We did some beta testing on it to see if it would conduct
power properly. So far it has shown to operate at 97% capacity, which is well
within operating perimeters. So we reconnected the circuitry, and head up to
Main Ops. Using the computer, we tried transfering information, and power
through those circuits, to see if it would work, and it did, with only a
little difficulty.

Stacey, and Whit.
We had to redirect some power from nonessectial systems to the
medical department, because of their non-availability of resources. As of
yesterday, it was operating at 71% of norms. We have gotten it up to 98%.
Hopefully this will be sufficient, because if we drew any more power from
other systems, we'd be running on emergency life support.
Our next stop was to the security office, until we were sidetracked
by Cmdr Wit. I was to take my duties on Main Ops, so I let the engineers fix

three. Well I did the first one and almost did the last. Let me explain.
Expecting my first duty on Everest would be nothing more strenuious then
putting away my personal items and dealing with Katie. I jumped into the
fire when Everest was attacked by a Borg ship. The last words from Admiral
HyRisk, before he left to secure a top secret area, was that I had the bridge
and to fire at the Borg without giving them to much information about Everest
defenses. Don't give them to much information, I thought to myself. Hell,
they probably know more than I do!!!
I think Lt Pack saw that I was a bit overwhelmed and suggest that I help
him with raising the shields. This suggestion saved me from falling back the
three steps. While working with Pack, I came up with an idea on how to
distract the Borg while the awayteams broad and at the same time not give
away any information to them. After seeing that Pack was about finished.
I went to Tac and programmed the phasers to randomly fire at the Borg ship.
However, to confuse the Borg, I also programmed the
phaser fire to just miss them. I think this might have confused the Borg
just enough to give the away teams some more time. In time the Borg ship was
destroyed with heavy damage to Everest.
Next time I see Pack. I'll buy him a Blood Wine. Wit out.

Commander Wit, in command on Starbase Everest due to Lynx's surgery,
ordered a team, commanded by himself, to procede a a routine mapping mission
in a sector near the Romulan Neutral Zone. I was assigned to assist First
Lieutenant Traci Tage at the tactical station. As Lieutenant C'Rusher piloted
us away from Everest, I moved over to the bridge engineering station. Due to
the injury of Ensign Whit, I was assigned a place on the away team, as
tactical and engineering support. As we approached the
planet, First Lieutenant Koric Hawkins, Lieutenant (j.g.) Mel'Zhon O'Brien,
and I made our way to the transporter room. I carried the only phaser, while
Hawkins and O'Brien were equipped with tricorders and sample containers, to
collect samples from the planet.
Upon arrival on the surface, we began collecting samples. No sooner had
we established that the atmosphere was mostly nitrogen, an previously
unidentified source began causing interference. We could not continue any
furthur scans, so we began to search for the source of the interference.
First Lieutenant Hawkins, O'Brien, and I split up. I came across a large cave
and called the others. Once they had arrived, we entered the cave. I was
first, with the phaser. Hawkins and O'Brien followed, with their
sample containers and tricorders.
Once we entered the cave, our only source of light was from the
equiptment. Fst. Lieutenant Hawkins indicated that he believed that the
source of the interference was located in a side cavern. We entered a nearby
tunnel and eventually came upon a large wall of gargantuan crystals. We were
inable to collect a sample or cease the interference, so Fst. Lieutenant
Hawkins suggested that we use the phaser to destroy the crystal. I gave the
phaser to First Lieutenant Hawkins, and stood back. The phaser
blast caused a cascade effect within the crystals, and our team was running
as fast as we could towards to the cave enterance. Once outside, we all took
cover. Seconds later, the cave exploded, raining down debris upon us. At this
point, Mel'Zhon O'Brien looked up and noticed the Rhodes in the atmosphere.
It was nearing the planet, losing altitude at a fast rate. To our shock, the
Rhodes crashed on the planet, and we made our way to the vessel to attempt to
find any survivors.

reached up, grabbing onto whatever was there. A figure slowly, but
painfully, pulled herself up. With severe plasma burns, several deep cuts,

debris. She looked around. She felt the pulse of a science ensign to her
right. There was no pulse to be found.
"Just great," she muttered, her voice choked and cracked. There was a
thump-thump as someone ran towards her.
"TRACI!" Wes C'Rusher called. "Thank god!" Traci shrunk away from his
hand.
"Please, don't touch me. It hurts too much," says Traci, forcing a smile.
It felt as though half her face broke with that effort. She gritted her
teeth. "Shaaw." Wes eyed her with concern. "Wha . . . what happened?"
"We've crash landed on Tagaran Four."
Traci winced in pain. "I knew that much."
"I'll try to scrounge up a med kit for you," Wes said, moving off. Traci

In the middle of our mission to collect samples of a highly energized crystal
with magnetic properties, which would be used to fuel new warp systems,
something went terribly wrong.
The Rhodes arrived at Tagaran IV, and FstLtHawk, Lt Mars and I transportered
down there as an away team. Before leaving, I set the Rhodes sensors to look
for the crystals, and to inform our tricorders as soon as they'd been
located. We found a high concentrations of crystals in a hill. We were
immediately on our way. As we got closer and closer, the readings got
stronger and stronger. When we arrived, Mars pointed out a cave, in which
the readings were emminating. Before entering, I noticed the
Rhodes extremely low in the atmosphere and pointed it out. We continued
inside.
We walked around, looking for the source. We followed the tricorders
readings, and were lead to an entire wall of these crystals. Our tricorder
reading measured 300% higher than earlier. We discovered these were possibly
the reason for the Rhodes problems. We could figure out know way to possibly
drain them, so Hawk started his own plan, not telling us what he was doing.
Several seconds later he ordered us to run, immediately clueing us in on what
was happening. Since there was no way for us to drain it with the equipment
that we had, he decided the only thing we could do was destroy. Not long
after we'd ducked behind some rocks and bushes, the cave roared and shook.
The ground began to settle down, and suddenly we noticed the Rhodes beginning
to fall in the atmosphere. There angle made it impossible for them to be
saved. We sat and watched as the Rhodes crashed
landed on the planet.
We decided that we must search for survivors. Hawk, Mars, and I left our

upon arrival, we transported the away team down, consisting of FstLt Hawk, Lt
Mars, and Ltjg Obrien. We began scanning for Romulans, then suddenly we were
being pulled toward the planet. Tage, Kevin, and I worked frantically to find
the problem, with no success. We began entering the atmosphere, when it hit
us that we should scan the core. We found an
artificial gravity generator, working with the natural gravity field. We
tried using a reverse graviton beam, with alternate harmonic frequencies, but
AGAIN with no success. By then we had transferred almost all of our power to
the impulse engines, and we were still being pulled in. Then, suddenly, the
warp core went critical, I guess from the stress of the gravity field on the
warp containment field. I tried using a level 10 dampening field, but it
didn't help. Then, we tried to shut down the core,
which didn't work. We ended up beaming the core into space.
Suddenly we began speeding up. Commander Wit ordered us to prepare
for landing, which I don't think would help, because we don't know whether
the pulling would stop. Nevertheless, we followed his orders. I extended the
landing struts, and went down. The landing struts didn't help, so....we

Cartography indicated that the planet was rich with rare materials that could
aid in new warp drive systems. Taragan IV was supposed to be located near
the neutral zone. Only after much dispute was it known to be in Romulan
Space.
We have crash landed on the surface of the planet after an unknown
tractor beam-like force pulled us toward the surface followed by a core
malfunction. The away team that was beamed down, consisting of FstLt Hawk,
Ltjg Obrien, and Lt Mars, has still not been located. We sent out a distress
signal. Hopefully it will be heard and we can leave the desert-like planet
of Taragan IV. The crew aboard the Rhodes, including myself, are working
around the clock to try and get... well... something
back on line.

I am now getting ready for some action. We are preparing the infinity for a
mission to distract the romulans from our crew members on the surface of
(Tar). We are ordered to distract the romulan warbird that is in orbit. Our
orders are to distract and not to use force unless in self defense. I am
posted at chief tactical on the infinity until FstLt Tage comes back. I look
foward to having a hard position on a difficult mission. I hope that our
crew will get back safe after the search and rescue
team gets then out. Also we have to protect the rhodes and whoever is on
it. We have a vital mission to carry out and I am sure that we will succeed.

After arriving at the Rhodes with First Lieutenant Koric Hawkins and
Lieutenant Mel'Zhon O'Brien, we were assigned to separate teams. While
Lieutenant O'Brien was reassigned to First Lieutnant Tage's team, Hawkins and
I were assigned to work on setting up a comlink with a nearby Starfleet
vessel or the station, Everest. We both agreed that the best place to begin
these repairs was the bridge of the ill-fated USS Rhodes. After picking out
way through much rubble, Fst. Lieutenant Hawkins and I came
upon an access conduit, linked to the communication system, which had lost
all power during the attack. Upon Fst. Lieutenant Hawkins' order, I rerouted
power from grid 4 to grid 14, which was also down. We checked grid 21, which
was operable, and routed power through that junction. Although the power
system was linked, there was no power at all to use for the communication
system. Fst. Lieutenant Hawkins' suggested that we use the planet's native
crystals, which we had obtained on the initial mission.
We placed the crystals in place, but their power went critical, and we could
not remove them. I quickly sent out a signal, before the the crystals
exploded, injuring Fst. Lieutenant Hawkins.
The explosion also caused the entire bridge structure to fail, trapping
us inside. As I attempted to examine Fst. Lieutenant Hawkins, I noticed a
sharp pain in my left arm, which was hanging loosely at my side. Upon
assessment of my situation, I turned my attention to Fst. Lieutenant Hawkins.
After several attempts to wake him failed, I received a hail from Fst.
Lieutenant Tage. Upon giving her the location of our team and our status, she
dispatched a team to free us from the area. I shook
Lieutenant Hawkins and rewarded with a offhand comment regarding bloodwyne.
He collapsed into unconciousness at the same time that a team led by Fst.
Lieutenant Tessa McGill, MD entered the bridge. With my one good arm,
Lieutenant O'Brien and I dragged Fst. Lieutenant Hawkins out of the bridge
and towards a nearby rocky outcrop. We met up here with the Rhodes staff and
the shuttle team. At this point, we made our way towards the nearby shuttle,
with security officers providing cover from the approaching
Romulan troops. We took our seats in the shuttle, while Fst. Lieutenant
McGill began to attend to the wounded. She placed my broken arm into a sling
and entered the cockpit. By this time, the Infinity had left the Romulan
fleet parameter, and they picked us up. Our return flight to Everest was
uneventful. Upon our return to Everest, I presented our data to the science
department.
Cease recording and close log file."

Q: Good evening, Ensign.
Zelvei: Who are you?
Q: No, the question is who are you?
Zelvei: Ensign Norox Zelvei of the Starbase Everest.
Q: No, no, no. Who are you to be?
Zelvei: I do not know.
Q: Let me introduce myself. I am a Q in the Q Continuum.
Zelvei: The one that has caused mischef on the Enterprise?
Q: No. I am one of the many in the continuum. Though that Q should be
visiting sometime around Christmas.
Zelvei: What do you want from me?
Q: Nothing. Just checking up on the soon to be leader of the Starfleet
calvary against The Borg.
Zelvei: Soon to be?
Q: Yes. Another decade and you'll be a key player in The Borg Wars.
Zelvei: Why should I listen to you? This is probablly a dream!
Q: Why should I listen to you? (immitating Zelvei in a childish voice)
Zelvei: Get out of my quarters before a get you hulled out of here!
Q: Very well. I'm really scared now! All shook up, no what I mean? I'll be

When the all of the surviors of the Rhodes crash, we split up into teams of
threes to get things done. The Romulans were on our backs. Team 1's job was
to self destruct the Rhodes. O'Brien and Niron did an excellent job of
getting everything ready, and I checked with the other teams. Team 3 was
okay, but Team 2 was trapped on the bridge. So Team 1 went to help them. We
got there around the same time the shuttle craft crew, who were sent down to
get us off the planet, had already arrived. I
activated the self destruct before following the teams back to the shuttle
Goddard. Team 3 was already there safe and sound. When we lifted off the
surface, the Rhodes blew up in a great ball of fire.
Tessa hypoed me, after that I couldn't focus on anything. When I woke up, I

Q: Hello. I just love your collection. Late twentieth century Earth.
Hmm...(he takes a look at the titles) Smashing Pumpkins, Run DMC, Talking
Heads, Nirvana...Tupac Shakur?
Zelvei: Let's just say I have an open mind.
Q: An open mind at that. I'm here to give you an offer.
Zelvei: No.
Q: Wait. I'm willing to show you the future. Your future with The Borg Wars
and the Starfleet Calvary!
Zelvei: No, no, no. Why do you even care to bother me?
Q: I enjoy the company.
Zelvei: Get out!
(Q vanishes in a flash of light. Zelvei takes his clothes off and gets into
the shower. Q's head bops in and smiles)
Q: My, you are a big man!
Zelevi: That's it, Q! I want you to get the hell out of my quarters or I
will-
Q: Will what, Ensign? Tell on me?
Zelvei:(takes a deep breath and puts a towel on) I'll accept your offer.
Anything to get you to stop bothering me.
Q: Good sport, young andorian! Let's go.
(Zelvei puts his uniform back on)
Q: Do you mind if I bring this Tupac Shakur guy to listen to on the way
there?
Zelvei: You're on a thin line, Q. Put it down and let's go.

(Q and Zelvei appear on the bridge of a vessel, that looks very futuristic.)
Q: Here you have it, Ensign.
Zelvei: Have what?
Q: This is your future.
Zelvei: This ship?
Q: Quite so. You are on the USS Appatomax. A starfleet warship created
especially for the resistance of the Borg.
Zelvei: Doesn't Deep Space Nine have one of these?
Q: An early version so to speak. You are fifteen years in the future.
Zelvei: If this is my future, where am I?
Q: Look:
(an andorian man, roughly 40 years old walks onto the Bridge in an
unreconizable uniform to Zelvei)
Captain Zelvei: Status report?
Lt. Smiths: Two Borg cubes within thirty light years coming our way. Twenty
warships are cloaked around us.
Captain Zelvei: Cloak the ship.
Lt. Smiths: Aye, sir.
Commander Albright: Sir, 70 ships have been assimulated in the past two
hours. We're crumbling.
Captain Zelvei: Give orders to all the vessels to shoot at these
coordanates.(sends them through) If it worked for the Enterprise 15 years
ago, it's going to work for us.
Lt Smiths: Aye,sir.
(talking goes on throughout the Bridge as Q and Ensign Zelvei look on)
Zelvei: This is my future?
Q: Yes. I came to the Everest to warn you not to interfere with a mysterious
woman named Lylux. She is part of an evil bread of Q, but she is mortal.
Even though she is mortal, she is a dangerous advisery who cannot be killed
by the Q.
Zelvei: Can I kill her?
Q: There is a little twist to it, also. She lives for 70 years. That makes
here mortal, other than that, she is a Q.
Zelvei: And you made me come to the future with you for?
Q: I needed you to know I had proof of wht's going to happen. If I tell you
who won the Borg Wars then, it will effect the timeline. But I can tell you
this...you get into a romance or relationship with her, than the turnout of
the Borg Wars are far more deadly than they should be.
Zelvei: I'm trusting you, Q. I know want you to take me back.
Q: I one condition.
Zelvei: Yes?
Q: Can I borrow that Tupac Shakur disc?
Zelvei: Take me back and take the disc.
Q: All right, Ensign. Just remember this, do not get in a relationship with
Lylux. She is very powerful and very seductive. Keep a distance.
Zelvei: Ok, Q.
Q: I'll be watching you...
(Q disapears and Zelvei looks around and he is back in his quarters. Zelvei
sits down and thinks.)

Well, yesterday was an exciting, but sad day. My team consisted of Cmdr Wit,
FstLt Stacey, and me. We started out on the Rhodes, but then left to search
for Romulans, and distract them from the Rhodes. We began scanning about 100
yards from her. I went to search in a cave, while Stacey checked out a ridge.
After looking in just a little ways, I was shot. Three, or four times.
Suddenly I went uncoscious, while Wit, and Stacey covered me. Once I awoke, I
grapped my hidden Bat'Leth, and began chopping the
Rommies in half. The managed to get is deep inside the cave, where a pile of
rocks fell down covering our way out. Soon, we were contacted by Dr. McGill,
and her team on the Shuttlecraft "Goddard". After we finished killing the
Romulans, we shot our way through the rocks, and McGill led us to the
shuttle. As soon as everyone got aboard, I piloted the shuttle up to the
atmosphere, while McGill handled the wounded. Soon, McGill came forward, to
the helm, while I took tac. We managed to get into the
atmosphere, where we beamed aboard the Infinity, and warped back to Everest.
The sad thing is the fact that the Rhodes had to be destroyed, to
prevent the Romulans from getting to it. =(

Everything is FINALLY back to normal. After crashing on a planet, fighting
off the borg, and Romulans, a guy can get pretty annoyed. So, to start this
normal day off, I went over some system reports on the USS Infinity, and
checked out the damage. I went aboard to see for myself how bad it was. I
started out by joining Gygax, Stacey, and Whit in Engineering, where they
were assembling crew members for repairs. I assisted as the head of one of
such crews, and began on the bridge.
Once I got there with my team, my tricorder detected decreased
pressure levels. I then found a microfracture on the hull, just above the
bridge. The dampening fields have failed, but due to it's size, the pressure
hadn't escaped fast enough for us not to be able to survive there.
We started out by reintializing the dampening fields, and sealing
the fracture. This only took about 5 minutes.
Next, I sent someone to fetch some tools needed to weld the bulk
heads back together, and to remove the charring on the control panels from
explosions during the battle.
We began at the helm controls, and worked out way back. We also
secured the tubings, and conduits that had exploded, or broken loose, back to
the ceiling or wherever they belonged. This took all of my duty shift, and
just as we finished cleaning up the bridge, FstLtSoju came to relieve me, and
he took over my duty.

Today has brought a mixture of emotions: sadness, relief, excitement, aches,
and several more which I cannot name.
After finally arriving at the Rhodes after a strenous and long trip, I split
up from Hawk and Mars to help Traci and Niron protect the ship. We decided
that our first priority, since there were no Romulans nearby at the moment,
was the self-destruct. I made sure there would be enough power to activate
the sequence by shutting down every other system. I was then ordered to
program an emergency manual access just in case the voice command failed.
While I was programming, Traci discovered some faulty
wiring. I was not sure the manual access would work with the faulty wiring,
but fortunately it was repaired.
I then used the internal sensors to see if all the self-destruct pods were
intact. They were. We were finally ready for the self-destruct, except we
had to make sure everyone was ready to leave, or had already left. Traci
began trying to contact the other teams, with no success. There was nothing
wrong with our combadges though. We were eventually able to contact team 3,
but not team 2. We had to get to the bridge. We used jeffries tube 6 to get
there.
Once there, we found Hawk badly injured, so we ended up dragging him out of
the ship. As the rest of us left, Tage activated the self-destruct program
at 6:30 minutes.
We then were on our way to the shuttlecraft. We quickly boarded and took
off. No sooner had we left, when the Rhodes exploded with a flash of light.
Wes and McGill piloted us back to the Infinity.

detected that there were Romulans in their Transporter Room ready to beam
down to Taragan IV and danger the lives of stranded crew members on the

very interesting facts about the phaser alignment coils. He said that if we
pump more plasma through the coil we can have faster reaction with the
phasers. I was very impressed, the reason I am taking these

that I share the rank of the chief tactical officer. She can still order me

During our last mission there was a big party at Zots, I think it was for
the return of Commander Nova. While the bash was going on Jogen and I were
in the holodeck in the cockpit of a 20th century F-16 fighter plane, it was
good fun, we had some air to air combat and also some air to ground practice.
It was fun to have some time to just go into the holodeck and unwind. It is
nice not to have all of the reports and aqisitions to fill out.
I do have to call my mother about my promotion, she will be very proud of

Kirmina: This force field will contain Q for about fifteen minutes, so you
have to get the truth out of him quickly.
Zelvei: I have calculated the time Q comes every day which means he should be
arriving-
Q: Good evening, officers. (looks at Kirmina) Oh no, not you again!
Kirmina: We want the truth out of you!
Q: Well, how are you going to do that?
Kirmina: (puts up the force field) That's how!
Q: Ha! You think you could contain a Q in a force field! (walks into it)
Owe! That stung!
Kirmina: So you aren't a Q after all!
Zelvei: I want to here everything you have to say! I want the truth..and I
want it NOW!
Q: Ok, ok. I'm part of a cult of Q-like humanoids. We are not immortal and
we're not capable of the same powers, just some.
Zelvei: Next question...WHY ME?
Q: Every Q must show the clan what we can do, by scaring people. I found a
new recriut aboard the Starbase Everest.
Zelvei: So, my future was?
Q: A holodeck simulation...beyond your comprehention.
Kirmina: Then who is this Lylux character?!?!?
Q: That was something to scare Zelvei, too.
Zelvei: And...
Q: Oh, Lylux is a real perosn, but she can do no harm to you at all. She was
being docked here soon so I picked her as something to give me evidence.
Zelvei: So that's how it is.
Kirmina: Q, you have just been completley humiliated. What are you going to

Lieutenant Mars gently rang his hand along the environment console in main

contacted engineering, hoping to catch Gygax, Stacey, or Whit before their
shifts ended, respectively. An unfamiliar officer appeared on the screen.
"Engineering," chirped the inexperienced officer.
"Hello. We are having an error in the secondary environmental control
grid," responded Mars, his face growing more annoyed by the moment.
"Sir, I'm not quite sure how to correct that," whispered the young officer
meekly.
Mars shut his eyes for a few seconds, opening them again, his eyes blazing.
"How in the name of," Mars shrugged, but continued, "did you graduate from
the Academy?" By this time, his voice had grown so loud that several officers
eyed the Lieutenant, questions forming in their eyes.
The ensign gulped, clearly unsure how he should procede. "I wasn't
planning on being stationed in engineering," the ensign choked out, his eyes
beginning to fill with water. Mars shut off the monitor, muttering several
curses. A nearby ensign raised her eyes but decided to say nothing.
"Smart girl," thought Mars. Mars stood up from the environmental
console, kicking open the access tunnel underneath. He bent down and studied
the inside. A key link was clearly damaged, and Mars reached up for a tool
kit. It fell on him, causing another stream of curses. Mars picked up all of
the tools from the ground, put them back in their case, and crawled into the
tunnel.
Mars crawled over to the damaged area and began to repair it. A few
minutes later, Mars crawled out of the tunnel and took a seat in front of the
environment console. Mars quickly finished his task, checked his chronometer,
and stood. His shift had ended, and he planned on having some time off before
the tactical meeting.
"Have a nice evening, everyone," Mars said before leaving OPS. The
turbolift doors swished shut behind him. As Mars left, several ensigns
sighed.

Today was a bit of a normal day. Actually, it wasn't. It started out
normal, but didn't stay that way for long.
I began in the R&D Office with Hawkins, Kirmina, and Mars. Mars almost
immediately left for Zot's to join the party. Our duty today was to decide
on a ship that would go into construction, since the Dytallix is almost
complete and has left the construction chamber empty. We first went over all
the current ship ideas: the USS Inexorable, USS Mystique, USS Multiplicity,
and USS Runner. After going over all of them, we decided on the Inexorable,
not as a final idea, but as something to go into testing.
We put the specifications into the computer and began a simulation, testing
all the new weapon systems, and whether it would hold up in a battle. It did
pretty well, except the IDF had a little problems, so we had to reconfigure
the field. In the end it was fine.
We then set the computer to begin an analysis. While it was busy doing that,
we were dismissed. I decided to leave for Zot's to join Commander Nova's
welcoming party, but Kirmina decided to stay.
I took a seat with the new crewmember EnsDirk. I had an interesting
conversation. He told me about himself, his years in Starfleet. I
introduced myself, and told him about Everest since he had only arrived a
couple hours ago. I thought it was nice conversation.
