FILE: Deep Space Twelve - GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS

Structural Description:

Deep Space Twelve is the Federation's largest space station. It is divided
into three sections, Section Alpha, Beta and Gamma. Section Alpha is much
like a miniature starbase, with some differences. There is the top saucer
section, which houses the crew's living accommodations and the Command
Center, and a tower protruding from the top of the saucer. Descending down
Section Alpha are the following departments: Medical Sciences, Biological and
Physical Sciences, Recreational and Guest Facilities (The
Core, Hotels, etc.), Shuttle Bays, and Engineering.

Section Gamma is virtually the same as Section Alpha with the exception of
the saucer section. In its place is a subspace telescope used for exploring
the wonders of the Gamma Quadrant. The remainder of the station working down
is the same design. Internal sections are: Subspace Telescope operations,
Stellar and Physical Sciences, Recreational and Guest Facilities (Gymnasium,
pool, theater, and hotels), Shuttle Bays, Plasmonic and Hydroponic Labs, and
Engineering.

Joining the two end sections (Alpha and Gamma) together by the docking ring
is Section Beta. Section Beta holds the starship docking and maintenance
facilities, as well as the primary cargo hold. Section Beta looks much like
Earth Station McKinley with several movable maintenance arms.

Family/Personal History

Jonathan Halleck, a young prodigical mind, born from Commander
Thomas Halleck, and Admiral Jennifer Haysden. Given the best pre academy
education possible, it was evident from the start that someday Jonathan would
become a command level officer someday.

After finally becoming old enough to join StarFleet Academy,
Jonathan began his education. Scrolling through the years, patiently
awaiting his first assignment, he gained the respect of his friends, as well
as his professors. After four years, he graduated, and was placed on the
waiting list for assignment.

Finally receiving that which he had waited so long for, he was
assigned to Station Deep Space Nine, under the command of Captain Benjamin
Sisko. Placed as Asst. Operations Officer, his duties quickly gained him the
acceptance of Cheif O'Brien, and a promotion to Lieutenant JG. After the
strategic Operations department opened, he transferred there, under the
command of Lt Cdr Worf, with a promotion first to Lieutenant, then to
Lieutenant Commander, serving the station well during the
Jem'Hadarr attacks. The GEDF then was placed on alert, after finally
receiving go ahead. First, it was planned that Halleck would take command of
the Fearless, and serve as station XO, under the command of his mother,
Admiral Haysden. But, after an academy incident on her route to the station,
the runabout carrying her was destroyed, death to all hands. To his dismay,
Halleck was given command of DS12, where he currently resides.

Psychological Status

Perfectly stable. His mothers recent death hit him hard, but in Jonathan's
eyes, he can handle it with...no problem. His previous psych status has been
unparalled and flawless.

Medical Status

Many small cuts, fractures, bruises, etc from his time spent fighting the
Jem'Hadarr, but nothing major. Currently, above average health for standard
Human male...

Before Star Fleet or the Acadamy, Campbell spent most of his time on the
home Planet, Mudock ll, he studied the Galaxy from his high Performace
Scanning device that is in use on most Astro-Physical outposts. He had
always wished to join Star Fleet, he had been inspired by Star Fleets
exploration of the Galaxy, he has studies all of the ships that have ever
been in sevice in Star Fleet. He visited Deep Space Nine and almost went
into the Bajoran Militia, but never did. He then traveled the Earth to
complete his studies and join Star Fleet Acadamy.

Acadamy Record:

While in the Acadamy he spent 4 years studying the regualur course, he
had at first wanted to be a Helm Officer, but he had wanted a post at DS9, so
he abandond that idea, he then continued his studies in the feild of
Engineering, he never got his post at DS9. He had an exeptional stay at the
Acadamy, and when he had left after a 6 year stay, the extra 2 years were for
he took a course in other species observations, then he left to have a career
in Star Fleet.

Immediate Family Background:

As will be discussed in his personal background, Leahy was born in the
20th Century on Earth. He has no immediate family living, but has several

Personal Background:

Ensign Leahy was born on Earth in the Nation/State of the Untied States of
America on April 27, 1969. Following a typical childhood in the region of
Florida, he joined the his nations Navy. As shown in history, the U.S.A. as
well as other goverments of the time maintained large military forces. Leahy
served in an engineering capacity on several waterborne ships of the era, and
was advanced to the Enlisted rank of Chief Petty Officer. During an
experiment in the year 1995, which involved the use of
electromagnetic fields in an attempt to make the ship invisible, an accident
occured causing a localized subspace disturbance which stranded Leahy in the
24th Century. More details on this incident can be found in Federation
Science Dept records.

After several months of debriefing at SF Command, Leahy requested and
recieved permission to try out for admissions to SF Acadamy. His first
several attempts failed, but following nearly 2 years of studying, He was
accepted, but only under a probationary status.

Leahy struggled academically in the Acadamy and this is a matter of concern
still to many at SF Command. However, it should be noted that Leahy has a
unique abiltiy to think quickly and rationaly under pressure, and will not
hesitate to make decisions. For these reasons, He was deemed deserving of a
commision although his academic skills are wanting.

Personality:

As noted in personal background, Leahy is not academically strong. Due to
this, he tends to be more "Hands On" oriented. What he can not grasp in

and act under pressure are truly exceptional. In addition, most likely due
to his previous training with the Military in 20th Century Earth, He has
Leadership qualities most often seen in only Senior personell. He often
states, "Once a Chief, Always a Chief", holding the belief
that his former Rank of an Enlisted Chief Petty Officer is the most
important milestone of his life. Leahy tends to be easily annoyed, and also
has a propensity to take charge if he feels others will not.

**** Of Note: Leahy was raised in an era where "Sailors" were known for
there frequent and large consumption of Alcoholic beverages. Leahy has shown
a tendency to seek out establishments which still provide Alchohol, not being
satisfied with the Synthahol on board SF Vessels.

Background:

I had a very interesting and eventful life when I was younger. I was born on
Earth, where my parents died in a fire when I was just 3 years old. Since I
had no other family, I was put in an orphanage. When I was 6, I was adopted
by a couple who worked for Starfleet. Their jobs required them to travel the
galaxy quite frequently and I had to go with them. Due to extreme boredom
and a great amount of free time as a child, I gained quite an interest in
20th century literature. I have read many of the
classics of that time period, and as a result have a large vocabulary and
great writing and editing skills. I was sent to the Academy when I was 18.
I wasn't very good with the technical aspect of Starfleet, but I discovered
that I had a knack for bartending. I was sent to the Federation ship Phoenix
several months after joining the Academy, but that ended when we were ordered
to go to Wolf35 where the ship was destroyed. We made it out safely in life
pods. I then became co-barkeeper on the Hood.
There I met and became very good friends with Sam Brown (some of you know
him as BarKeepSam). We both decided to go to DS12 so we could see some of the
Gamma Quadrant's food and beverages for us to use. We got on the station,
but, to our dismay, the wormhole was destroyed and we were stranded here on
DS12. Even though I now have no way of exploring the whole galaxy again, I
think working on DS12 will help ease the pain.

During his life on Earth, he also lived in Provence, France; Kilkieran Bay,
Ireland; Cabo Blanco, Republica de
Costa Rica, and San Fransisco, California. Flammond's mother Anna died during
his birth. At
age 13, his father Peter died during a classified Starfleet mission. Shortly
after his father's death, Flammond lived on Cabo Blanco under the supervision
of his uncle, Jason Neptune. After years of studying and training
independently, Flammond joined Starfleet. He has been a Starfleet Officer
since the age of 20, and has since earned a doctorate in medicine.

History:
Vel's mother died during childbirth when her shuttle craft crashed on a
mountain on, Delta Vel V, a planet in the solar system surrounding the star
Delta Vel. When a couple of hikers stumbled upon the shuttle craft, the
mother's condition was critical. Fortunately, one of the hikers had some
medical knowledge. Although he was able to save the baby, the mother died
within a few minutes after the baby's birth. The baby was given the name
Delta Vel, and when her father finally found her, the name remained
unchanged.
Vel's parents were both betazoid, and full telepaths. Vel's father was a
federation science officer, and Vel grew up on many different ships and space
stations, where ever her father was stationed. Vel's father died when Vel was
19 in a suspicious explosion on Space Station Gamma VI. Not enough evidence
was found to accuse anyone of foul play, and the incident was forgotten by
the authorities. Vel had already been studying to be a doctor, and after her
father's death, she joined Starfleet Academy to continue her studies,
specializing in neurology and biological psychology. She soon graduated and
was assigned to Deep Space Twelve as the Assistant Medical Officer.
