Sir,

I would like to formally and personnaly request entrance into the StarFleet
Corps of Engineers. I have just finished my Academy training and school and
feel I have much to offer your particular group. I scored well in both Warp
Drive Theory and Design, and also did well in Demolitions. I am a very
outgoing individual who also knows how not to say things that don't need to
be said (keep necessary secrets). Personnel will forward you my files and
exam scores so that you can see what my Academy records and my profile index
are.

Thank you for this opportunity and your time.

Current Status Training

Mission Brief

Everyone is current in Sector 001 on Earth, at Starfleet Academy to be
more precise. Everyone has received their current assignments to the Corps of
Engineers and with in those orders, they were told to report to the Academy.
Once reporting to the Academy they will follow the academic courses laid out
for them and it is more then apparent that the courses are accelerated areas
of knowledge in tactical, security, Ops, Piloting and such. These accelerated
classes are a lot of work in a short amount of time.
Everyone please read the Academy's Mission brief and do not forget we
Sim at 10PMEST in Sector001
Corps of Engineers is getting ready to take off, so hang on tight and
lets rock and roll. :D

Mission Brief

Status-Yellow

We are still on Earth at the USF Academy. Their have been a series
of small tremors in the area. Most USF scientist and Earth a like believe
that theses smaller quakes are but the beginning. The scientist believe their
is a huge quake on the way that could cause a lot of harm and damage.
The tremors while slight have been felt through out California.
These little tremors should have been absorbed by the geological stabilizers
along the fault line but they were not. Since we, a mobile arm of the Corps.
of Engineers, is training at the Academy, we have been dispatched to see why
all of these units have failed catastrophically across the board.
Mission Objective-Survey the Geological Stabilizers and find out why
they have failed. Repair the Geological Stabilizers before the big quake
hits.
And remember don't forget to have fun out there.

Duty Log for Lt jg CHunter
Corp of Engineers/pilot of the Uss Galileo

After recieving orders to prep and prepare the Galileo for flight within the
hour,
Carissa  initiated a level 5 diagnostic, and ran a preflight test. Scans of
all systems were
documented and observed.  Warp engines and microinfusions thrusters were
operating at 100% efficency.  Warp and Impulse engines were tweaked to
increase capability to warp 6(2.85hours). An inventory of all phasers and
Quantum torpedoes was taken and restocked.
Sheilds and tractor beam emitters also proved optimal.  Conn, Ops, Science
and tactical  were brought on line and
all probes were tested for proper launch.
Carissa then left the Galileo to head for the barracks to gather her gear.
After just arriving at the station, most of her gear had not been umpacked.
She decided that she would stop off at the mess hall and get something to
eat since she had 30 minutes to departure.

Current assignement: To provide the undergraduate cadets a chance to compete
against and learn from the graduate engineering students. Testing the
abilities of both squads to
improvise engineering solutions in order to build a designated and workable
machine under potentially hostile pressure.

BEGIN LOG:
Carissa peered at the huge pile of Junk that stood before the engineers and
Cadets.
The mystery machine had yet to be determined as all stood patiently by
waiting for word of the impeeding project.
With word receieved, the teams busily went to work, sifting through scraps of
unidentified objects, searching for just the right parts.
The engineering crew immediatley set out to work on the body of the vehicle.
LtcmdrHans exhibited great skill in welding a blow torch and quickly
assembled its frame.
Carissa managed to create a fuel injection system and a carborator for the
block.
Now equipped with an 8- track player, fuzzy dice hanging form the rear view
mirror and four leaopard fur seats, the time had come to start the engine.
A moment of Silence, as the commodore slid behind the wheel of our creation.
Slowly,  he placed the thin sheet of metal into the slit on the side of the
steering column
and then.....it purred like a kitten.  Ummm Commodore.. It works.. but i
think we might have a small problem.

Corps of Engineers
Sim Summary

Still training at the Academy, The Team of Engineers were going
against the Cadets in creating a vehicle from scratch. Each team had to
construct the vehicle from a pile of junk. Each team was well on their way to
the project completion. The Engineers had to stop with the friendly contest.
Commodore Storm was contacted by Star Fleet Head Quarters. An Engineering
Team in the neutral zone between Federation and Cardassian borders had
disappeared. The XO of the Engineers, Lieutenant Commander Hans gathered up
the engineers and they made their way to the teams three Runabouts; the USS
Aristotle, The USS Da Vinchi and the USS Galileo. Their the rest of the team
was filled in and was told departure would be immediate. Lieutenant Jg Hunter
started the preflight on one of the runabouts. There was no telling how long
they would gone or what they would run in to. Hopefully the new formed
mobile engineering team would be able to handle any obstacles they ran in to.

Synchronous Orbit
11PMEST
In the middle of training and the junkyard wars we were called to leave Earth
and the Academy far behind. The team has boarded their three runabouts and
after a hasty preflight, the mission is well under way. Pushing the runabouts
at maximum warp, Commodore Storm and Lieutenant Commander Hans hope to reach
their destination before it is too late.
The destination is on the edge of a corridor of the neutral zone
between Cardassian and Federation space. The Cardassians have agreed to let
the Federation send in several runabouts to dismantle a Dominion prison camp,
known as AkMal, that still lingers there after the war. Only the pre
specified Runabouts can enter, anything else will be considered a hostile
act. Unfortunately, Storm had hoped to meet a veteran group of 4 engineers on
the
planet surface, but communication has been lost with the
group...circumstances unknown.
The world that houses AkMal is a class M planet, that has been
stripped of all of its natural resources. Water is scarce and the
temperatures range from 95 degrees to a 115 degrees. The planet is renowned
for its sand storms, that can rip flesh from the bone inside of 15 minutes.
Starfleet Intelligence reports there is a good chance that the Dominion left
traps behind in the camp, so be careful.
At the beginning of the sim, the runabouts are 10 minutes from the
planet and AkMal.

Mission Status: Yellow
Mission Objective: Tear down "AkMal"
Secondary Objective: Retrieve any computer cores or documentation within the
camp.

So buckle up and let's get to work.

Personal log for Lt jg C Hunter
Stationed on Akmal.

Our primary objective, upon arrival, was to set up a base point of
operations.  Our crew immediately set about postioning a command center
within the main building. The Runabouts are being guarded by Ens Okuda who
was left stationed on the shuttle repairing the damage to the Galileo.  A
complete inventory of weapons was completed. Each member was repsonsible for
2 fully charged phasers, 2 extra power cells, and a tricorder.  Two man teams
were
ordered to converge upon the main camp, to investigate and scout out the area
in am and pm shifts.
I took first shift and point as we scouted the corridors of the main
building, keeping 100 meter distances from each other,  in constant
communication.
I located a weapons locker, which contained several  type III phasers, photon
grenades, and  cardassian disrupters.
Kar'tarkins were also found, located  thru out the cargobay areas where
prisoners  were transported to the camp.
Several areas, or quarters contained large equipment used for torture
tactics, cellular disrupters, and other bio genetic
hyposrpays targeting the central nervuous system of its victims.
Enviromental systems have been accessed and brought on line. Other
unwarranted systems  were not accessable
and others were brought off line to  power other main systems necessary for
life support while we are in the camp.
Food was found, half eaten and rotting from months of fermentation. Much had
spoiled and was not consumable.
What was salvagable was brought to Base point.
Conditions of many of the quarters within the building were in complete
shambles. Delepitated and unsanitary conditions were found in many of the
cells were prisoners were housed.  Sickened by the conditions, I locked and
sealed off these areas.  The said surivors have not been located. No signs of
life have been detected on my shifts.
All Observtions and findings have been reported to the Commodore upon the end
of each duty shift.
I am making due.. but anxious to complete our mission and depart from the
camp.
I just cant seem to shake this undaunting feeling that somethign is amiss.
Log out.

Corps of Engineers
Sim Summary

The team of Engineers on their three runabouts dropped out of warp near a
planet on the border of Cardaassian space. The planet was the ill reputed
world that housed the infamous Dominion Prison Camp AkMal. The Corps. of
Engineers task was to dismantle the foreboding place. Nearing the planet,
sensors indicated that
there were fragments of a runabout in their path. It was within moments the
crews of the shuttles discovered out why. Magnetic stealth mines were soon
bombarding the runabouts. The USS Da Vinchi was the first to take a hit,
Ensign McNair had to jettison the left nacelle to keep the runabout
operational. Lieutenant Jg. Hunter expertly piloted the USS Aristotle in and
with the use of a tractor beam, steadied the Da Vinchi. Meanwhile Lieutenant
Octavian
and Ensign Delaney tracked the stealth mines. In a collective effort the
crews of the Danube Class Runabouts found a way around the minefield. Upon
landing in the main complex of "AkMal" they discovered that their adventure
had only just begun. A violent sand storm that can strip the flesh from the
bone, A damaged Runabout, A dead Engineer and others missing. Was Akmal a
myth or reality. The only thing that was fact was that when the Engineers
finished their mission no one would have to wonder anymore for AkMal would be
but a memory.

     Unexplained.
Duty log for LT jg CHunter    serial # 1061651

     Corp of engineers
     Present mission: Akmal

Carissa  checked in at 13:00 hours. It had been a long shift with nothing
new to report. Most of all the operational systems were on line. The
transporters  logs were under scrutiny.   Routine scans were being run
hourly, trying to find some evidence of what happened to the previous
engineering team that had vanished, and for any evidence of what happened to
the last survivors.
Carissa wished she could find something to go on. No survivors had been found
at all.  And an investigation was under way to explain the deaths of the
bodies that were uncovered.
All she knew for sure.. was  this unexplained feeling that followed her all
around the compound.
As Carissa walked around the cells and corridors, she would  experience brief
glimpses of pictures that would flood her mind.
She would reach for a door handle and suddenly get chills up and down her
spine. She had no explanation for these occurrences. But she knew she was
experiencing something. She tried to not think about what she had seen in her
mind.  She felt pain and anguish. And almost could taste the fear.
Prisoners had been abused here, of that she was sure.  But what key element
needed to be discovered, to unlock the secret to this place?  And where.
Would they find it?
Carissa walked back to the base of operations, making her last round on the
way back.
Taking the tricorder in one hand and holding her scope in the other, she
rounded the corner to see the other team members about 500 yards ahead. Thank
goodness this shift was over.. now if she could only sleep to while away the
hours left till daylight.

Corps. of Engineers
Mission Brief
SD 0102.28

The tearing down of AkMal has begun. Most of the unnecessary consoles and
conduits have already been removed by various teams of Engineers. Most of the
equipment is tore down and then dematerialized in to replicator. The task is
arduous at best but is a most fascinating one if any one is interested in the
alien culture of Cardassian and Dominion architecture.
Some have an eerie feeling of been watched or in some instances one could
even argue that sabotage has taken place in the form of severed power
couplings, missing tools, etc. Coincidence or fact. Hopefully either form
will reveal itself in the time to come. Perhaps AkMal spirits are still
trapped and their souls forever condemned to be wraiths until the last wall
is torn done.

Present mission:
The Corp of Engineers have been disassembling components and main systems at
AkMal, a dominion internment camp. Most of the unnecessary consoles and
conduits have already been removed by various teams of Engineers. Most of the
equipment has been dematerialized in replicators. We currently have not found
any answers in finding the missing crew, or any survivors. And so the mission
begins:

Sim Summary for the Corp of Engineers
Each of the specially trained Engineers, Ens Erin Delaney, Lt Commander Hans,
Lt TrevorOctavian, and CommodoreJStorm, and Lt jg CHunter began working on
taking apart several of the systems and hull fractions of Akmal. Several Comm
Dampeners were also located through out the complex which had not been
detected before and dismantled. Questions arose to the presence of these
dampeners, however locating and dismantling them was the primary objective.
Each team member had been in a different location when suddenly the power to
the complex went down. Left in the dark, the crew used manual lighting
devices to aid them. A hail came in from the Commodore to Ltjg Hunter to
assist him since one of the crew had not reported in. CommodoreStorm
attempted several communicator hails to Ens Biaz. His location was unknown.
Lt jg Hunter, having finished her task at hand, left to assist the commodore
when she
was attacked from behind.  Powerful hands grabbed at her neck and collar
ripping her communicator from her uniform. Her attempts at firing her phaser
also was spoiled and knocked about 5 feet from her hand. Attempts to thwart
her attacker failed and she found herself being dragged. But as suddenly as
this being approached her, it then disappeared, leaving no audible sounds to
hear its getaway. LT hunter composed herself, and tried to make it back to
the other team.
LtCommanderHans heard the struggle ensuing and ran down the same corridor and
into Hunter.  Hunter informed LT Commander Hans of her experience and left
the scene and  together they
doubled back to the other team's position. Ens Delaney was reporting in with
startling news. She had found the body of Ens Biaz who had been strangled to
death.Lt Hunter reported her incident to the Commodore.  Suddenly, motion and
movement was heard down the corridor and the team hustled to make it back to
the shuttles. Once inside, scans were ordered of the entire complex, as well
as accountability for all of our own crew still within the complex.
With everyone accounted for and having boarded the shuttles, the search was
under way for this unidentified attacker.
Scans were run from the Aristotle and the Galileo.  Several life forms had
now been detected within the complex.
And data was now being gathered as to the their identity. It is believed to
be remnants of Jem'Hadar special forces soldiers still believing that the war
was not over. The Corp now faced a perplexing situation.
The Galileo still needed repairs to be able to lift off. Unable to retreat,
and abandon the shuttle, the crew now faced
a new ruthless enemy.

Carissa slinks into the chair by the console on board the Aristotle. Her
latest ordeal has made her think intuitively about the JemHadar, if indeed
that is who attacked her in the encampment on Akmal. She thought back to her
personal knowledge of them as she drank some coffee and stared onto the camp.
The Jem'Hadar are a genetically engineered race, specifically engineered to
lack a vital isotonic enzyme, Ketracel-white. Allowing full dependency
to the Founders and the Vorta, they served as the army for the Dominion. They
are ruthless and cunning and live for Combat.
They do not require sleep, since relaxation is seen as a sign of weakness.
They do not eat-since they are fed by tubes
implanted in their necks to supply this "White" substance. They are bred in
birthing chambers, requiring no mates and mature at such a rapid rate that
they are able to fight in three days of emergence. Carissa shuddered at her
next thought.
Where they bred on Akmal? Carissa only knew that Standard Jem'Hadar
occupation tactics require at least 27 soldiers to be stationed inside a base
camp at all times, with usually nine soldiers placed patrolling the
perimeter.
Is this what they faced? And how many were left??

currently back aboard the runabouts upon discovery that the Jem Hadar are
still on the planet surface. It is currently not known how many there are
actually or what their objectives are.
New orders from HC have come down. Apparently they were aware of the
possibility that the Jem Hadar were present and they were in fact counting on
this. The new orders are that at least one of the Jem Hadar are to be
captured and upon completion of this, the famed AkMal is to be blown up from
the inside out.
In order to accomplish the this task the group will be divided in to
two teams. One to accomplish the tasks of capturing one of the Jem Hadar and
the other planting explosives through out the complex. Both are equally
dangerous and most be completed in a timely manner so we can get the heck out

Sim Summary for the Corp of Engineers
Stardate: 0321.01

The Corp of Engineers, still located on the Dominion prison camp of Akmal,
have currently discovered  the presence of the JemHa'dar within the complex.
Current orders from head quarters have instructed us to capture a Jemha'dar
and hold one prisoner to be released to Star Fleet as well as setting and
detonating
explosives to obliterate the entire complex.
The corp was divided into two teams, one to plant and set the detonation
devices and the other to capture, if possible alive, a jemha'dar soldier. The
Aristotle and the DaVinci were standing by and our means of departure once
the devices were to be detonated.
Each team prepared for their mission. Bio darts were replicated which would
render the Jem unconscious and distributed to the Corp members. Phasers were
activated and ready to fire.
CommodoreJStorm ventured out  to plant the explosives. With the rest of team
ready to depart, the hatch of the shuttle was being welded closed by the Jem
who were actually surrounded the shuttle.
LTjgCHunter tried to assess the situation by checking the emergency hatch and
was grabbed by several soldiers in her attempt.  After a struggle, she
succeeded in making her escape and implanting two darts into the necks of two
of her captors. The Crew managed to lock onto her position and beamed her
back safely to the shuttle.
At that instant the Aristotle was in danger as the Jem rushed their shuttle.
An antimatter spread was initiated around the shuttle, enough to stun the
enemy long enough to attempt biodart penetration.
Suddenly all communication with the Commodore was lost, and thus the lock
onto his position. With his whereabouts unknown, LtTrevorOctavian set out to
locate the Commodore and to retrieve the unconscious Jem soldier.
Hearing movement all around him, he quickly implanted a bio dart into the
stunned body of one Jem Soldier.
Ens Delaney locked onto his position and beamed the unconscious Jem to the
Aristotle's holodeck which was set up to simulate a brig area. Time was
running out for the Corp of engineers. Suddenly,  the commodore surfaced and
raced for the shuttle.
LT TrevorOctavian spotted the Commodore and the barrage of Jem soldiers in
the wake of his pursuit. He fired, long enough to cover the Commodore's
boarding. The Lt then was beamed back to the shuttle and both the DaVinci and
the Aristotle took flight just as the complex began to rock with explosions.
With the crew now settled and the mission completed, they set their course
for the nearest Starfleet base to unload the elusive Jemha'dar captive.

Sim Summary for the Corp of Engineers
Stardate: 0029.03

The Aristotle, DaVinci, and Galileo were in route to Starbase 6 to drop off
the  Jem Hadar soldier captured from Akmal. With 12 hours away from our
destination, the three runabouts picked up extensive background noise coming
from subspace.  Long range, internal and external sensors began recording
conflicting data.  Sensors then began to malfunction, as well as power to the
engines and other systems on board. Eventually as the power continued to
decrease, and minimal life support available, the runabouts encountered
a sight beyond comprehension. What seemed to be the reason for the
malfunctions was an alien vessel so massive, That its span was 250 meters
wide, black as space itself. Shaped much like a tadpole, it contained pods or
thruster extensions to the afts.  Housed on top of the vessel was a round
bubble, similar to an observation dome. 500 meters long. Consistent attempts
at hailing the vessel failed. The massive vessel hovered over the three
runabouts
pulling us along side of it into a gravitational field. All efforts to scan
the vessel proved fruitless. Any encounter with said vessel had never been
recorded in the annals of Starfleet history. No documentation, no
identification could be found.
Unable to break free as our power continued to drop, the corp of engineers
were able to dock within a port side opening which led into a huge empty bay.
Once inside the empty bay, the Engineers disembarked from their runabouts
scanning and taking samples of their surroundings. Unable to identify even
the metal on which they stood,
The Corp pressed on to find the inhabitants of this first contact.

Still stuck abroad the huge alien craft, the team of Engineers have
explored a bulk of the ship. Oddly though as much of the ship that has been
covered not one alien species has been spotted. Even though sensors on the
grounded runabouts are malfunctioning slightly, a massive about of life signs
are detected we are just unable to pinpoint the exact source.
LtJg Hunter is still continuing to decipher the weird subspace noise
that seems to be effecting our sensors as well as keeping the runabouts from
gaining full power. Hopefully the final analysis of the noise will reveal a
language as Hunter first predicted. Perhaps it will help explain or at least
put us in contact with the alien life forms aboard the vessel.
LtCdr Hans is still leading his team in hopes of finding a power
source that is seemingly registering on the tricorders. But he and his team
have been unable to locate the source of the power readings. The search
continues......

Condition-Yellow-unless hostile intentions are established

I have accessed several linguistic data base programs to anaylize the
subspace noise being picked up by our sensors. The computer anaylasis came up
devoid of any answers. I then searched the computer's data bases for a
mathmatical program
that incorporates an analog to digital voice encoder and a low power subspace
emitter. After thoroughly researching samples of the subspace noise through
the sensor relays, I then accessed the universal translator and first
anaylyzed the pattern of the unknown sample. It was then cross referenced
agaisnt the translation matrix for symbology, syntax, and usage patterns.
Once I selected an appropriate mathimatical program similar to that of the
syntex, the frequency and pitch of the subspace noise transmission, I was
then able to translate the necessary signature of the frequency to determine
that it was indeed a language.
Although no current data exists on its origin or content.. I believe that it
very well maybe a hail of some sort, a message being sent by the alien race.
All of the message, can not be translated since much of the encryption has
decayed,.
but I have deciphered only a few words.. that seems to be continually
repeated.

SIm summary for the Corp of Engineers
Stardate: 0104.20

The corp of engineers continued surverying the inside of the massive alien
vessel.
No contact at this point had been made with the aliens, even though sensors
indicated multiple life signs generating from within the body of the ship.
Sensors still could not detect a reason behind why the runabouts had powered
down.
While active repairs were underway, the others continued to search for the
vessel's energy core. Every square inch of the vessel's bay area was examined
and scanned.
Repeated attempts to scan only revealed exactly what the crew already knew.
No starfleet data exists on the origin, type or class.
Suddenly, walls began to materialize out of thin air, slowly seperating the
corp engineers one by one.
As each ventured its own way, one reported a raw defeaning pulsation
eminating from an energy conduit pulsing every second.
After alerting the captain, and checking further communication ability, each
crewmen
continued to search for what seemed to be an elusive answer.
Within a matter of moments, corridors and winding platforms lead to reveal
balconies three stories high, 50 meters from the bottom, and 50 meters from
the top.
Several ships were spotted on each level, docked and lifeless.
Soon, the path taken a few moments ago seemed to have changed- altered in
some way, with a different appearance.
Walls liquified, before their eyes. Like rats in a maze, the corp pressed
forward unaware of what lies beyond, and not sure of what lies ahead
wondering what thier captives had in store next.

Mission Brief

STATUS: RED
The team of Engineers are still aboard the alien space craft. Walls
appear to materializes and dematerialize at random intervals. Energy veins
have been discovered and they seem contain a strange power matrix but all the
engineers have to go on is readings since no sample has been obtained. Also,
the strange discovery of the Klingon body being absorbed by the deck plates
is not only gruesome but intriguing.
With all of the knowledge finally coming together, Commodore Storm has
asked everyone to rally back at the Run Abouts. With the evidence at hand it
is theorized that the alien vessel is a living ship and the Corps of
Engineers are possibly the vessels next fuel supply.
There is not much basis to the theory, but there is not any evidence
to the contrary. So with that in mind the exploration of the strange vessel
has come to a halt and it is time to figure out how to get off of the vessel.
The Engineers are to design a field that will restore power to the runabouts
so modifications can be made the nacelles so power can be maintained to get
the team clear of the alien vessel. So hang on tight it is a race
against time for our very survival.

Sim Summary for the Corp of Engineers
Star date: 0105.02

The Corp of Engineers , still on board the alien vessel, are still
attemtping to acertain the mysterious appearance and dissappearance of  walls
and doors.
The discovery of a half eaten Klingon, embedded into the deck plates, and
only energy veins of an unidentified power  matrix  to be found,  leads the
crew to surmise that the vessel is indeed a living ship. The commodore
recalls the engineers back to their runabouts to brainstorm on finding a way
to power up the runabouts and the nacelles with enough energy needed to take
flight and leave the vessel back to open space.
With generators at a minimum, and the nacelles losing power by the minute,
the crew decide to utilize drastic measures and come up with the idea of
isolating deuterium, in the elctroplasma stream and submitting it to a higher
frequency field contained within the anti -- matter reaction chamber.
Recalibrations begin under way.
It almost appeared that the vessel was aware of our attempts to break free
and the inside of the shuttle deck begins to seep ooz. The commodore becomes
trapped into the liquid ooz. Phaser fire aimed at the slime. frees the
commodore just as the final configurations have been made to the anti matter
chambers on all run abouts.
The time had come to test and hope for the best. The Galileo, the Aritstotle,
and the Davinchi power up the engines. All shuttles now have power ... within
minutes the power had been restored to the nacelles, and the runabouts take
flight,
maneuvering out the opening of the vessel back to open space.
The runabouts were now free. After a considerable amount of distance came
between the shuttles and the alien vessel, all sensors and power returned to
normal parameters.  Once again, the crew defeated insurmountable odds to
remain as always. The elite Corp of Engineers.
NOTE: Congrats to our newest Ltjg Erin Delaney on her recent promotion

System-Osaro Sector (Near the Romulan Nuetral Zone)
Mission Type-Salvage and Rescue
Alert Status-Yellow

The Corps. of Engineers are in route to the Osaro Sector, it is
near the Romulan Neutral Zone. A Federation Starship, the USS Venture, is
adrift and there has been no response from the crew in over 48 hours. The
ship is drifting in to the Neutral Zone and must be recovered before it is on
the Romulan side of the border. Also even though the star is not supposed to
collapse for another 6 days the team will have to monitor the star closely.
The Venture was on a mission to study the collapse of a red dwarf
star, an unusual singularity since dwarfs are usually white or blue and some
of giant stars are of the Red variety. From what long range sensors indicate
the Dwarf star must have been more unstable then first thought, it emitted a
deadly solar flare in the form of a burst of Tachyon radiation. Long range
sensors indicate that the ship is intact and the systems have received
only mild damage. It is not known whether or not the radiation ids affecting
the long range sensor net of the Federation...no life has been detected and
the readings on the ship might not be as accurate as proposed by Starfleet
Intelligence. In the unlikely event that the ship is unsalvageable then we
must try to remove all of the sensitive equipment and self destruct the
ship..these are only the back orders in an emergency.
However, we have a mission to do and a short time to accomplish
it...so buckle up and hang on we are pushing it to the brink with this
mission :D. See you at the sim

SIm Summary for the Corp of Engineers
StarDate: 0105.09

A drifting federation starship, The uss Venture, was the Corp's next
assingment.
.  It appeared that the Uss Venture was drifitng toward the Romulan Nuetral
zone and should the Venture  fall into the wrong hands, it would pose
potential threats for the federation. Our mission was to retrieve the ship
and bring it back to federation space. IF perhaps the Venture was
unsalvagable, our objective was to destroy the ship and retrieve all
sensitive and classified data.
Starfleet claims that the Uss Venture was in the vicinity of a red dwar star
surveying it when the star  emitted a deadly solar flare in the form of a
burst of Tachyon radiation.
There had been no response from the crew within the last 48 hours. The
investigation was underway, with little time to accomplish it.The red dwarf
star was also being scanned, and data reports indicated a potential collapse
of the star within six days.

The Engineers set course for the Osaro Sector. Soon the Shuttles, the
Davinchi, the Galileo, and the Aristotle were in range of the Venture,
sensors were activated to repeatedly scan back data. The Shuttles had landed
one by one in the docking area,  and the Engineers split up and  headed to
specific destinations to begin to work thier magic and get the venture home.
The warp core had appeared to be heavily damaged. Most major parts were fried
and mangled. The bridge seemed to sustain the least amount of damage. As the
crew worked to repair the systems , two most puzzling aspects of the mission
presented itself. 1. No recorded data was found for the actions and events of
the last 48 hours. and 2. The presence of a particle residue on everything
throughout the ship.

Commodores Log
SD 0105.28
Commodore J Storm

The USS Venture repairs are well under way and perhaps we would
have finished them on time. However, upholding to our luck so far we have hit
a not so unexpected situation. The Romulans warship has decloaked at the edge
of the neutral zone. The Romulan Captain holds accusations that the USS
Venture has crossed the neutral zone several times over the last few weeks.
Unfortunately we do not have access to the ships logs that
can reflect this, so cannot openly deny this without proof and without proof
we might have to stand down to the Romulan Vessel. If we do not, it could
start another war with the Romulans.
I am trying to gain access through the logs to see what exactly
did happen over the last few weeks. The information is still with in the
computer core and if I can reform the Format Allocation Table that has been
deleted then I will be able to access the data with in. The fact the Romulans
are threatening a star fleet vessel that is practically dead in space, is on
our side of the neutral zone, has had its records deleted and a strange
dust particle that seems to line the corridors leads me to believe that there
is more going on here then meets the eye. The Romulans know more then they
are admitting too. It will be up to us to find out exactly what it is.
The Team of Engineers will have to ride this crisis right out to the
end, since we have stripped our only means of transportation, the Runabouts,
to fix the USS Venture. Our time is running out and so are our option, if the
USS Venture cannot obtain minimum operations with shields, weapons and Comms
I will be forced to abandon ship and self-destruct the vessel before it is
allowed to fall with in Romulan hands. The repairs will continue for now
and we will wait for an opportunity to present itself.

Mission Brief
SD 0105.30
Corps of Engineers

Alert Status: Red
Location: Aboard the USS Venture in the Osaro System

The minimal repairs for the USS Venture are almost completed but the
team of Engineers are up against a new time line. The Romulans have shown
them self and are warning the Federation of their pending doom. The Romulans
wait by patiently for the Venture to get even closer to the Neutral Zone so
they can be justified in destroying the Federation vessel. They have accused
the USS Venture of crossing the Neutral Zone over the past weeks.
However new evidence has been found to actually show that the
Romulans are the one that crossed the Neutral Zone and purposely had a hand
in trying to collapse the Red Dwarf Star of the Osaro system. The Logs of the
crew of the Venture have been accessed and they show that the Romulans are
testing a deadly new weapon that can actually shorten the life of a star.
Also it is a formidable weapon against a StarShip as well. The fine dust
particles that seemed to be all over the ship have finally been figured
out..it seems to be the remains of the crew of the USS Venture. A fate that
could very well await the Engineers.
We need to finish the repairs so we can defend the Venture ...So hold
on tight and lets get ready for action

Duty Log for Lt CarissaHunter
Record 942.00
Present status of the Tactical systems.

I have been working to repair the damaged tactical systems on board the
Venture.
No sooner do I fix one problem and another presents itself. Since the Array
panel has over 200 micro components, I have been fixing as many as I can
along the way, but still finding many more that are in need of repair.
Without tactical or weapons of some kind.. the Venture lies prey.
Shields are now up intermittently. Phasers are now on line.. and I am
attempting to boost their power as much as feasibly possible. Since the
Venture has no quantums or Torps, at least if i can modify the phaser power
ability, the Venture would have some compatible means of self defense.
I am now progressing to the last and final row of the array panel. I hope to
have tactical up and running within the next 3 hours, with a bit of
supercharged phasers
on the side.

SIm Summary for the Corp of Engineers
Stardate: 0105.30

The Corp of Engineers, when we last left them last week, was floating
hopelessly in space continuing repairs to bring systems on line while the
Romulan vessel lurked in the distance. Tactial systems were repaired as well
as the main console and previous logs of the Venture were finally accessed.
To the amazement of the crew, it was discovered that the Venture had been
sent to investigate why the Red dwarf Star was collapsing prematurely. What
they
found however was the means to their end.
The Romulans had perfected a weapon that would cause the Dwarf star to
collapse.
They were caught in the act, and the Romulan vessel turned this weapon of
destruction upon the Venture. A Radiation burst so powerful hit the Venture
and disintergrated the crew into a powder like substance, cutting right
through thier defense systems like a knife.
The Corp.. now left with this knowledge, faced possible extintion by the
hands of the Romulans and this deadly weapon.
Armed with supercharged  Phasers and little warp capability, the
confrontation began.
Calling thier bluff, the Corp appeared to surrender by powering down all
engines and shields. When the Romulan vessel got into closer range and
lowered their shields, the Venture raised shields and fired upon the Rommies.
Engines were targeted, and destroyed causing the Romulan Vessel to float
toward the Star. Intiating Warp drive, the Venture slung around the Dwarf
Star  and was soon out of  disruptor range of the enemy.  With a bright light
of
brillance, the Romulan vessel exploded in the far off distance.

Mission Brief
SD 0106.13
Corps of Engineers

Alert Status: Green
Location: Aboard Deep Space 8

We have been aboard the Deep Space 8 for 7 days. The USS Aristotle
has been successfully put back together. Just in the nick of time as our
orders have come down, finally. The few of you that are receiving this brief
are heading to the next mission, the rest of the team will be staying with
Deep Space 8 to put the other 2 runabouts back together. Once they complete
that portion of the mission they will meet up with us. The estimated time of
repair for the other time to meet back up with us is at least three weeks.
We have the honor of being selected as a special Engineering task
force. As part of the peace accords with the Cardassians, we are being sent
to several planets with in Cardassian Space. We are part of an on going
rotation, since the Cardassians do not want a large number of Federation
Officers in their space at any one given time.  One of the major points of
agreement between the Federation and Cardassia was that upon completion of
the war
units of Engineers would be dispatched to assist in the repair and
resurrection of Cardassian facilities damaged by the Dominion. Steps have
been taking to insure the safety and well being of the team while in
Cardassian space.
A final preflight of the USS Aristotle needs to be completed before
we launch. So everyone needs to finish up their business aboard Deep Space 8
and get everything in order. We depart ASAP and we are not slated to return
to Federation space for some time...So buckle up and prepare for a tour in
Cardassian Space.
